━━━━━━━━━━━━ The sun is high and hot in Hawkins Indian, where everyone is now at the new StarCort mall or at the pool and It's the first summer you could even remember.
You walk into the mall wearing some shirts and one of Steve's shirts that is oversized on you. You have gained some weight from Joyce's cooking which is what she wanted, she said she wanted to put some meat on your bones.
You couldn't get a job, Joyce wouldn't let you but everyday you come into the mall where Steve is working at an ice cream shop called Scoops Ahoy.
His coworker Robin has become a very close friend to you, you have never felt this connection with someone before and you are extremely grateful to call her your best friend and you just hope she feels the same.
"I'm not even surprised" Robin says as she watches you walk in
"Good morning" you say smiling at her
"Steve's in the back" she says pointing to the back window behind her
"Hey, i'm here to see you" you say putting a hand on your heart
"I'll believe it when i see it" Robin says laughing as you move to the back door
You open the back door with a giggle at Robin making Steve look up from the delivery papers to see you smiling at the door.
"Baby" Steve says dropping the paper on the table as you close the door behind you
The two meet in the middle where they wrap their arms around each other only for Steve to pull his head back to kiss your lips.
"I missed you" Steve says against your lips
"I missed you more" you say smiling
"You two need to stop before i puke on all this ice cream" Robin says opening the back window
You pull away from Steve and sit down at the table as Steve gets back to the delivery. As the two teenagers work four preteens are heading straight for them. The four push past many people making their way for the ice cream shop trying not to be late.
The four walk into the shop and go straight to the counter where Robin is standing and Mike rings the bell repeatedly.
"Hey, dingus' your children are here" Robin calls out to the back
The back window then opens up to show Steve's annoyed face looking at the four preteens.
"Again? Seriously" Steve asks them
Steve opens the back door for them to walk through and as they do they see you sitting at the table and they all say hi before walking out the back
Steve holds the back door to the hallway for them and they quickly run through not wasting any time.
"If anyone finds out about this-"
"We're dead!" the kids cut Steve off and he shuts the door with a sigh

Steve stands out the front of the shop scooping ice cream for two teenage girls while you are sitting out the back with Robin.
"Alrighty, one scoop of chocolate. That's a buck twenty five" Steve says handing the girl at the counter her ice cream "Anything else? A banana boat maybe?" he adds
"No thanks" she answers before starting to walk away
"And another one bites the dust" Robin says walking up to the window with her white board "You are o for six, Popeye"
"Yeah, yeah, i can count" Steve tells her as he turns to face her
"You know that means you suck"
"Yep, i can read, too"
"Since when?"
"It's this stupid hat" he says taking the hat off annoyed "I am telling you, it's totally blowing my best feature"
"Best feature?" you ask looking at him "You need to sell banana boats not get a date"
"Don't be silly" Steve says smiling at you
"You know, it's a crazy idea, but stop trying to sell them to people our age. They don't want it" you then tell him
"Yeah, i know. He said i have to try and sell it to everyone who come in" Steve says playing with your fingers that are on the bench in front of him
"Who wants to buy them anyways?" you then asks
"Old people" Robin answers you
"There you go. Sell it to them" you say with a smile
Steve can't help but smile at you as he leans over the counter to kiss your cheek.
"Hey, hey. In coming " you say pointing to the girls walking in
"Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Okay, uh... I'm going in, okay? And you know what?" Steve says throwing you the hate "Screw the company policy"
"Oh, my god. You're a whole new man" Robin says sarcastically making you laugh
"Right? Ooh" Steve says before turning back around
"Ahoy, ladies! Didn't see you there. Would you guys like to set a sail on this ocean of flavour with me? I'll be your captain. I'm Steve Harrington"
