Haerin's POV:
It's Sunday morning, I finish up my biology booklet and pack my bag for school the next day.
During the afternoon, I went out with Minji on a walk around the central city, we ate at a coffee house and looked around in a few shops, it was nice going on a walk with her again, it felt really good.
Leeseo and Hyein had also gone out to order pizza for all of us, some pasta dishes as well.
After I take a shower I walk down to eat with all of them at the dinner table, and nothing happens until Minji speaks up, "I wanna take Haerin to work with us tomorrow."
Everyone looks straight at her, even me.
"She has school." Kazuha, the only one who didn't look at us, answers sternly.
"She can skip." Minji defends, "Hyein too."
"We're busy tomorrow." Danielle says and I feel a very tense tension begin to build up around me.
"She's coming with us, she's interested, why not let her see?" she says and I mentally agree, I'd love to see what they do, I barely saw their company the other day, the trip was cut short.
"Minji." Leeseo says through gritted teeth, her eyes threatening her, and I begin to feel awkward.
"She's coming." she says and then they all go silent.
"If you guys are really busy then it's fin-"
"Haerin, we'll be fine, I want you to see the company." she interrupts me and I go silent.
The rest of the day was even more awkward.

The next morning I wake up to Minji's face right above mine, I try my best to look at her but my eyelids feel like they're being pulled down.
"Get ready, we're going to work now." she whispers but all I want to do is fall back asleep, I feel more tired than usual.
Then I notice that the room is pitch black, usually the sun sneaks through my curtains in the morning, "What time is it?" I ask as soon as I notice.
"4 am." she answers and I groan.
"Do you really need to go to work at this hour?" I ask.
"We do this every morning, now get ready we need to go." she says, I hear her walk out of the room, but like a villain she turns on the lights and I whine.
After a few minutes of debating whether it was really worth it to go or to just sleep more, I finally get up and splatter cold water on my face to wake up.
I go over to my closet and start to think about what would be appropriate, something formal, something grey or black to match everyone else.
I pick out a black dress and slip it on, wearing black heels.
While I yawn, I pick up my hair and put it in a sleek ponytail, pulling small bits of my hair out at the sides to make it look better.
I feather on a little bit of makeup, too tired to do anything more than blush, mascara and some lipstick.
When I get downstairs, a few of them aren't ready, so I sit on the couch to wait, trying my best not to fall asleep, it feels like my eyes are fighting me.
Minji sits beside me on the couch, and I very lazily look over at her, she smiles, "Good morning to you too." she chirps.
"How do you have so much energy?" I ask, before yawning, again.
"I've been doing this for years now." she says as she neatly adjusts the cuffs of her sleeves I notice silver cufflinks there. By the way why are they all wearing suits? When they're girls? I just shrug it off.
I pinch it between my fingers, noticing that it's a lion's head, "This is pretty." I mumble and she nods.
"It was a gift from my father." she says, and I smile at her.
I lay my head on her shoulder, giving up on trying to keep my eyes open but she lifts her shoulder to wake me up again.
"Can I at least take a nap in the car?" I ask her and she nods.
When everyone else was done getting ready, we all finally get into the black SUV, Danielle's car.
I sit at the very back with Eunchae and Kazuha, they both seem frantic, nervous.
A few minutes into the trip, I notice Danielle looking at me through the rear view mirror, almost as if she's checking up on me.
I hear them speak to each other very quietly, yet I end up getting too tired and fall asleep on Eunchae's shoulder.
I then wake up to her patting my shoulder, signalling that we've arrived.
We walk into the building, seeing the familiar black interior again.
They split up when we get to the stairs, dividing into small groups and then walking away, leaving me with Hyein and Minji.
She walks me up to her office, which is almost the size of my room, it's decorated with crystal vases, dark purple roses in them, and paintings, a huge collection of books on bookshelves and her glass desk.
"Come, let me show you what I do." she gestures to her desk as she places some folders there.
Hyein walks out, saying she's going to see Kazuha, I stand by Minji, closely observing how quickly her hands work.
"See, I have to go through our wholesalers and distributors and what sales they've brought during this week, I have to check through what hospitals have made what orders in which country." she explains and I almost get a headache from all the papers in her hands.
She uses her other hand to scribble something on the sheets, I can't make out what it is because of how quickly she's writing.
"I also have about fifteen meetings a day, and that's on a good day, it can go up to twenty, that's the bad part of being a CEO." she looks at me with a frown before the door opens and a blonde woman walks in.
"You have a meeting with a government representative in five minutes, Mrs. Kim, Mrs. Nakamura has sent me to remind you." the blonde says with a very monotone voice, a tablet in her hand.
Minji groans, "Tell Kazuha to stop worrying, I didn't forget." she says and the woman nods, gently closing the door behind her, "That's my assistant." she says before I can even have the chance to ask.
"Government representative?" I ask as she starts to sort a pile of papers.
"Yep, but they're very, very, private, so we're not allowed to give out any information. It's confidential."
"So you all just say 'government representative'?" I ask and she nods.
"You can roam around, just don't walk into any rooms that are occupied. I'm off to the meeting." she says as she opens a few drawers and takes out some folders, she gives me a smile before she leaves me in her office alone.
I sit down on her comfortable leather chair and spin around for a few seconds before I already get bored.
I look around the room, admiring the design, the decorations, the small details around the room; the candles, the flowers, the ceramic plates with chocolates on top and even the pretty floral wallpaper that's wrapped over one wall.
I sigh and get out of the chair opening the glass door and looking around the floor, it's uncomfortably quiet, I can only hear a few clicks on keyboards and maybe a few chatters but not another human in sight.
I walk out of the room, taking in my surroundings as I walk down the hallway of offices and meeting rooms.
There are large pots holding big plants that are decorated throughout the floors and nice grey couches as well.
The carpeted floors feel like a cloud even through my shoes.
Even just by the looks of it, all the decorations of the building look are beyond expensive.
I keep walking until I reach the end of the hallway, there sits a room with double doors, just like Kazuha's and Minji's, it must be one of the girls.
I instantly notice the gold plaque by the door and begin reading it, "Pham Hanni, Chief Financial Officer."
This is Hanni's office, and she also has a huge role here, just like what that Reddit post has said.
I wonder if she's in there or at the meeting? Where else would she be in this huge building if she wasn't in neither of those places?
I really want to know if she's in there.
I give up, turning around to see Hanni herself standing right in front of me, her body so close I have to slightly look up to meet her eyes.
"Found your way back to me?" she asks, her lips forming a sad smile.

just to clarify things, Hanni in this story is still older than Haerin, she's a grown woman and is taller than Haerin in this story.
