"I was lost within thе darkness but then I found her I found you." I gently swayed back and forth as I sung to Namiko as she was laid in my arms "Are you going to be quiet while I work?"
She just smiled so I took that as a yes. I walked to the bed and laid her next to Ja, who was watching a basketball game. He glanced over and smiled at Namiko which made her start giggling.
"Lil oneee." He dragged picking Namiko up and making her stand up on his stomach.
I grabbed my camera and walked to the bathroom closing the door. I positioned the camera on the tripod, adjusting the angle to capture the best shots. I checked the lighting settings and made sure everything was in focus.
Satisfied with the setup, I took a moment to compose myself. Today I'm shooting a skincare routine video for Vogue. I literally used to pretend I'm shooting a video for Vogue every time I would do my skincare routine so the fact that I'm actually shooting a video for them is such a surreal feeling.
I pressed the record button on my camera, and the red light blinked "Hey I'm Semaijah Summers and I want you to get ready with me. Today I'm going to be showing you guys my daytime skincare routine."
I reached for the first product and held it up to the camera "To start off I always make sure to cleanse my face, This is not a sponsored video by the way. I truly do love these products."
I smiled at the camera "The Cerave foaming cleanser is a staple in my routine. It's gentle yet effective, perfect for removing any impurities without stripping my skin."
I turned on the water and splashed some on my face before applying some cleanser on my face.
"Today I'm not putting on makeup because we're going to Disney World, It's actually Namiko's first time going to Disney World and I'm so excited. It's really hot here and it would be such a waste of time and makeup to wear some with this heat."
I continued to rub the cleanser on my face and when I felt like the sixty seconds were done I stopped "Now it's time to rinse the cleanser off."
I leaned over the sink and rinsed the cleanser off of my face making sure to not drown myself. I wiped the water off of the sink "Okay so now that my skin is all clean and pretty I'm going to dry it off. The best thing I started doing is air drying my face instead of using a wash cloth. It's just better."I began air drying my face "It allows my face to retain its moisture. It's a small change, but I believe it's made a good impact on my skin."
After a brief pause, I moved on to the next step of my skincare routine, reaching for the Fenty Beauty Hydrating Mist. That's how it went on for a couple more minutes, Just me explaining and doing my routine. After I finished putting on the sunscreen and explaining what the sunscreen does I set it back down and began wrapping up the video.
"Now that I've completed my skincare routine, I'm feeling ready for the day ahead." I said, smiling into the camera "Thank y'all so much for watching this video, I hope y'all enjoyed it. I appreciate all of your love and support. It means the world to me. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more beauty content."
With a final wave, I turned off the camera, ending the skincare routine video for Vogue.
"Whatchu gotta do now?" Ja walked into the bathroom, catching me off guard.
"I have to download the video on my MacBook then send it to Vogue." I replied "I look pretty?"
"You look beautiful." He wrapped his arms around my waist pecking my lips "I wanna fuck."
"Boy." I bursted out laughing "Our daughter is literally right in the room."
"She not in the room. She outside with my mama."
"They're here? Yay!" I ran out of the room and went to the living room and there was Jamie and Teniya playing with Namiko "Niyaaaaaa."
Niya looked up and her face lit up. She quickly got up and rushed over to me "Semaijahhhh. It feels like I haven't seen you in forever."
"Y'all just saw each other yesterday." Ja mugged both me and Teniya.
"Who pissed in his cereal?" Jamie asked.
"Ion know." I chuckled.
"The shirts are so cute." Niya looked at Namiko who was trying to touch Jamie's shirt.
Namiko's half birthday is coming up and before we have her party we decided to take a trip to Disney World with just us, Ja's parents and Niya. We even got shirts made, The way we're going crazy for her half birthday I just know a lot of money is about to be spent when it's her first birthday.
"The party shirts are cute too. The girl sent back how the shirts are going to look and I love it. I already have an idea on how her first birthday party should be. We're going all out for Nami." I smiled.
"How you want it decorated?" Ja asked standing behind me wrapping his arms around me.
"I want it like Moana themed. I want island decorations there and everything and I want the drinks named after her like Miko Colada. I already know who I want to decorate the party."

"Girl stay still." I chuckled gently holding Namiko's face in my hands, trying to keep her still as I applied sunscreen but she kept moving around laughing. After a few more failed attempts, I finally managed to apply the sunscreen on her face "There. Now you're ready to get out of the car." I took Namiko out of her chair and she wrapped her arms around my neck laying her head on my shoulder.
"We're going to universal studio's tomorrow right? I want to ride the mummy ride so bad."
"I thought they shut that shit down." Tee stated.
I looked over at Tee, slightly taken aback "Really? They shut down the Mummy ride?"
"Nah they ain't shut it down. That was only for when covid was around, They shut the whole park down." Ja put his phone back in his pocket before sticking his tongue out at Namiko and she started laughing.
Jamie smiled "I want another kid."
"No." Teniya and Ja both said in unison.
"What y'all telling her no for? If we wanna have another child we gon have one. Yall mama wish gon be granted."
"Bruh." Teniya groaned "You got Namiko, Why you want another child for? I like being the youngest."
"Having siblings seem so fun." I said.
"That shit horrible. God gave me a annoying lil sister then on top of that she baldheaded." Ja kissed his teeth and Niya's jaw dropped.
"Don't start fighting in these people park." Tee glared at both Jamel and Teniya.
"I won't fight him here but ima get you hoe." Niya scrunched her face up looking at Jamel.
"Okay." Ja said nonchalantly.
"Daddy I don't like how he said that nonchalantly." Niya told Tee and we all started laughing as Niya held a mad look on her face. We walked inside Disney World and the vibrant colors, music, and iconic characters brought smiles to everyone's faces, including Namiko's.
Namiko looked around with wide eyes taking in the theme park. Her tiny hands reached out, attempting to touch the characters that passed by, and her adorable baby babble filled the air.
"Nomi there go Minnie Mouse." Ja pointed at Minnie Mouse who was waving at us.
"You wanna go say hi?" I asked Namiko and she bounced excitedly.
"She damn near bout to make herself fall out just to go see Minnie." Tee chuckled.
"I remember she was watching Minnie Mouse on my phone and someone called me she pressed decline so fast." Teniya said.
"She don't play bout her Minnie."
We walked over to where Minnie Mouse was and Minnie approached us and waved at all of us and we both said our greeting back. When Minnie Mouse looked at Namiko, Namiko's eyes widened.
Jamie leaned in close to Namiko. "You're not going to say hi? Come on, say hi to Minnie."
Minnie Mouse waved at Namiko while Namiko just smiled at her before she leaned in, reaching out to touch Minnie's gloved hand.
Minnie Mouse gently touched Namiko's fingers and Namiko's face lit up with pure joy.
"There you go Nomi. You saying hi." Ja said.
"I gotta record this for memories." Teniya wiped away fake tears pulling out her phone to capture the heartwarming moment "Aw look at Minnie Mouse waving at you Nomi."
Namiko giggled and Minnie Mouse opened her arms wide open and Namiko reached out her arms and Minnie Mouse looked at me and I nodded in approval letting her to hug Namiko.
The surrounding crowd couldn't help but let out collective "awws" at the sight. "She friendly as hell." Jamel mumbled. After Namiko and Minnie Mouse's interaction we started walking around the park enjoying the view of the park.
"I wanna go on that small world boat ride." Niya exclaimed.
"You ready for yo first boat ride?" Tee who was now holding Namiko asked. We tried putting her in her stroller but she doesn't wanna go in that at all, She'll probably go in that when she's getting tired. We walked to the ride and since we bought passes where we could skip the line, we were able to hop on the Small World boat ride without much wait.
"Look at that!" Jamie exclaimed, pointing at a group of dolls dressed in Japanese attire.
"Man them dolls scary." Tee said.
"Boy bye, Ain't nun scary 'bout them dolls." Jamie rolled her eyes as we all watched as the boat floated past the Japanese-themed dolls.
"Nigga said them dolls scary." Jamel chuckled.
"Y'all gotta stop cursing around Namiko or else her first word gon be a curse word," Tee warned.
"That's Ja." Both me and Niya chimed in, causing Ja to mug us both.
"What? We ain't lying. You be cursing up a storm."
"Focus on the ride, I don't wanna hear shit from y'all."
I glanced at Niya, a grin spreading across my face. "Who Daddy he think he is?" I whispered to her, causing her to stifle a laugh.
"He Namiko Daddy. That's it and that's all."
The boat continued its journey, passing by dolls from different countries, each representing their culture. As we approached the African section, vibrant colors and lively music filled the air.
Namiko started bouncing while clapping trying to find the rhythm to the beat.
"She enjoying this ride fasho." Jamie chuckled.
"She's such a happy baby. I love that so much."
"Literally." I agreed "I can't wait until she gets older so she could watch all these videos of her."
The boat ride eventually came to an end and we stepped off the boat and continued walking around the park, Namiko now seated in her stroller, Jamie and Tee stood behind, pushing her along.
"She gon love seeing herself experience this. I gotta travel all around the world with her, Ion want no bum ass nigga thinking he doing sum just because he took my daughter to Miami." Ja stated.
"She gon be like been went there to every place somebody brings up bringing her to." Teniya said closing her water bottle.
I chuckled, "She's growing up too fast."
"She gotta slow down, Ion like all this growing up fast thing. Next thing you know she gon be graduating elementary school and won't need me walking her inside the school nomo."
"Oh God here he go." I rolled my eyes.
"He looks like he's about to cry." Teniya laughed "You got a lot to handle when it's her first day of school, This man gon be a emotional wreck."
"Y'all gon be right there with me to handle him. You know he gon wanna stay in the classroom." I chuckled, looking at Jamel who was now taking Namiko out of her stroller. Jamel held Namiko in his arms, a smile on his face as she laid her head on his chest. We spent the rest of our afternoon at the park just walking around, eating, riding rides, and enjoying each other's company.
Me and Ja even ran into some of our fans and we took pictures and talked with them all. Sometimes I forget me and him are celebrities so running into people that love us shocks me.
"My feet hurt so badddd." I groaned, standing in the bathroom at our rental home, fixing my wig "Walking around that park ain't for the weak."
I reached for my brush and carefully began to glide it through my hair and after smoothing it out, I divided my hair into two neat braids, ensuring they were tight and secure. I reached for my lace band, carefully positioning it along my hairline to blend seamlessly with the wig. Finally, I grabbed my satin bonnet and gently placed it over my head "I feel the ear pain already."
Ja walked inside of the bathroom and stood behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.
"What?" I bit the insides of my cheek to stop myself from smiling.
"Whatchu mean what?"
"Why are you looking at me?"
"I can't look at you?"
"No you can't. You're making me nervous."
"How I'm making you nervous just by looking at you?" He furrowed his eyebrows and I turned around so I could be facing him and his arms still remained on my waist "Hm?"
"You know how, Tryna play dumb." I removed his dreads out of his face "You're sexy."
"Preciate it." He smirked and without hesitation, he leaned in, capturing my lips with his own. Our tongues intertwined, dancing in perfect harmony as the intensity between us grew. My arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer as our bodies pressed against each other.
A soft moan escaped my lips, encouraging him to deepen the kiss, his tongue gently exploring the contours of my mouth. Our moment was interrupted by the sound of Namiko's cries. Ja pulled away from the kiss with a groan of frustration and I just stood there laughing.
"I'ma be back." Ja said.
"I'll be waiting." Still laughing, I watched him walk out of the bathroom to go to Namiko. With a smile on my face, I closed the bathroom light behind me and made my way out of the bathroom. I walked to the bed and settled into the bed. Ja returned to the room, carrying a calmed Namiko in his arms. She looked up at me and I reached my arms out and Ja placed her in my arms and I cradled her on my chest.
"Hey, pretty girl. What's wrong?" I cooed softly, brushing a gentle hand over her back.
"Crybaby. She just wanted to sleep in here." Ja got in the bed and turned to be facing me and Namiko.
"Mhm cause she falling asleep right now." I chuckled looking down at Namiko who's eyes was closed. I carefully laid Namiko down in the middle of us, ensuring she was comfortable and secure.
"Goodnight mommy's favorite girl," I planted a gentle kiss on Namiko's cheek. In response, a sweet smile graced her lips as she continued to sleep peacefully.
I thank God everyday for my daughter.
