Y/n's Pov:
"It looks like something burned its way through. Like a machine." Jun said
Thunder and Light both growled.
"Or a dragon." Tom says petting Thunder's head
"You're saying a dragon did all this damage?" Jun asks
"I don't know, and I'm not sure I want to, so let's get outta here before it comes back." Tom says
"I'm with you on that." I said
I gave Light a small pat and we flew away from the hole with Tom and Jun behind us. But while flying we heard a weak roar.
We turned around when we heard it.
"You heard that, too, right?" Tom asks
"Mm-hmm." Jun says
"Yeah." I said
We then heard another sad growl and saw a hurt Gembreaker dragon.
"Tom! Jun! Look!" I said pointing at the dragon
"It's another Gembreaker!" Jun says
The Gembreaker growled and flopped down.
"That one looks hurt. Come on. Maybe we can help." Tom says
"Yeah, we can't just leave her there." I said
Tom and I flew down towards the Gembreaker.
"What? Help? Tom, Y/n, no! Wait!" Jun says
She dove down after us.
"Kullersens! Gembreakers are not friendly, remember?" Jun says
"We remember. We just fought off three of them like five minutes ago!" I said
"But, we can't just leave an injured dragon alone. Can you?" Tom asks
The Gembreaker growls as Tom and I start walking towards it.
Thunder and Light grab onto our clothing and pulled us back.
"Ah!" We both said
Thunder and Light whined.
"We couldn't leave you two trapped under those rocks either, now could we, pal?" Tom says
"I promise I'll be careful Light." I reassured her
"Yeah, we know you're both concerned, but trust us. We got this." Tom says
Tom and I walked closer to the Gembreaker. The Gembreaker growled and shoot at us.
Our dragons grabbed us and flew behind a crystal to shield us from the blast.
"Okay! Maybe we don't got this!" Tom says
Tom, Jun, and I looked around the corner to see the Gembreaker roar and tried to fly, but fell to the ground.
"Aw, you poor thing." Jun says
Tom and I have Jun a look. This made Jun sigh.
"Okay, okay, you're both right. We should help it." Jun says
"Rakke Town has a hospital in the big dome. Maybe we can find something there." Tom says
"Yeah. It's worth a shot." I said
"To help... a dragon?" Jun questions
"I don't know. Not a lot of other options." Tom says
Our dragons grunted as we climbed on their backs and we flew out of the Crystal realm and through the fissure.
Light growled then growled as we flew
"What is it girl?" I asked
We then heard a buzzing noise.
"That's sounds like...." Jun says
We then saw an ICARIS drone scanning the rocks around the corner.
"An ICARIS drone! Thunder! Boom!" Tom says
Thunder then shot the drone.
"Did it see us?" Jun asks
"I hope not." I said
Thunder and Light growled and we flew towards the cave.

"Remember, when we get to the hospital, we can't tell anybody what we're up to." Tom says
"Yeah, we also cannot act to suspicious as well." I said
Just then the ground started rumbling.
"Ah! Earthquake!" Tom exclaims
We all crouch down.
"Whoa!" Jun exclaims
"Okay! Stay calm!" Tom says
We moved closer to the side of the dome as we heard some turbines rattling.
Soon the quakes came to a stop.
"That was the biggest one yet." Jun says
"Easily a seven or more." I said
"Come on. Let's get going." Tom says
We made our way inside the big dome.
"D'Angelo!" Angela yelled
Angela came around the corner in her wheelchair.
"D'Angelo?" Angela called out.
"Over here, mom!" D'Angelo said
D'Angelo stuck his hand out of a pile of boxes that had fallen from the shelf.
"Are you alright?" Angela asks
"Yeah, I'm good. Ow. Mostly good." D'Angelo said
Angela sighed "Okay then. Let's get this place cleaned up. Box brigade, double time! One, two! One, two! By the way, it's Saturday. How come you're hanging out with your mom and not the other kids?" She asked throwing him different boxes.
"I don't think anyone wants to hang with me. Tom, Jun, and Y/n are always disappearing." D'Angelo says
"What about Alex Gonzalez?" Angela asks
"She's best friends with her tablet. I just..... I really thought this place was gonna be cool." D'Angelo says
Angela wheeled over to him.
"Honey, this place is different, yes, but people are people. You let down your guard, and you'll find some way to connect. You always do." She said
"Thanks, mom." D'Angelo said
Angela kiss his forehead and leaves.
Tom, Jun, and I crawled through the door and past D'Angelo as the door shuts after we pass by him.
"What we really need are some herbal candles, or—(She gasps) Better yet, healing crystals, considering the dragon has crystals in its—" Jun whispers but Tom interrupts her
"Jun, just grab a first aid kit, and let's go." Tom says
"Yeah, we don't want to be caught by staying longer." I said
We Jun grabbed the first aid kit and Tom ran into D'Angelo's leg.
"What are you three doing?" D'Angelo asks
Tom then laughs nervously "Oh! Hey, D'Angelo! We were just...." He trails off
"We need a first aid kit. We found an injured lizard and wanted to help it." Jun explains
"What she said." Tom says
"Yup." I said
"An injured lizard.....Aw! I wanna help, too! Why didn't you ask Dr. D?" D'Angelo says
"Dr. D?" Tom, Jun, and I questioned before getting up.
"Yeah. I spent my summers with my grandpop. He's a veterinarian. I picked up a few vet skills along the way. I'll come with you!" D'Angelo says
"That's pretty cool, guess you must know a lot of stuff about injured animals then." I said
"I don't know if—" Tom says
"I think that's a great idea." Jun says
"Can you give us a sec?" Tom asks and he pulls Jun and I to the side.
"What are you doing? We don't need D'Angelo. Y/n and I got this." Tom asks while whispering
"Tom, I'm better with tech then animal healing. I mean I'm okay at it but no genius." I whispered
"What you both got was almost loogie blasted to pieces! Look neither of us know anything about injured animals. I mean. Well, I know a thing or two about unicorn horns, but that doesn't really apply right now." Jun explains still whispering
"Bad idea. His dad is head of security for the Rakke Corporation. Remember the secret?" Tom says
"What secret?" D'Angelo asks as he joins us.
Tom then laughs nervously as we stand up.
"Dragon Club!" Jun says
She then laughs nervously while I facepalm.
"Dragon Club...Ooh! That sounds cool!" D'Angelo says
Tom crosses his arms giving Jun a look.
We were now walking in the forest towards the Dragon Cave.
"Ok, so. Listen up. The first rule of Dragon Club is you don't talk about Dragon Club. It's a secret." Tom explains
"Yeah, think of it as. The First rule of Dragon Club is their is no Dragon Club. Meaning you don't talk about it." I explained
"Can you keep a secret, D'Angelo?" Tom asks
D'Angelo scoffs "Can I keep a secret? Of course, I can keep a secret! I vow on the Army Rangers." He says tapping his badge
"See, Tom and Y/n? Nothing to worry about. He vowed on the Army Rangers." Jun says
"What does that even mean?" Tom asks
"Dude, Rangers are only the bravest and most loyal of the airborne units. You know my Pops was a Ranger. Our word means a lot. Oh, but he would not approve of us being this far beyond our perimeter. Even to help an injured animal. It is a violation of numerous ICARIS safety codes." D'Angelo explains
Tom sighs as we neared the Dragon Cave.
"The lizard's down the hole." D'Angelo asks
"Oh yeah. Way down." Tom says
"Be careful where you step." I said as we all started to climb down.
Once we got to the bottom D'Angelo was acting a bit scared.
"Oh man. Pops knew you were both trouble." D'Angelo says
"Oh, they are. With a capital T. This is with it." Jun says
We walked further in the cave and heard a growl coming from one of our dragons.
"Ah! What was that? I heard something." D'Angelo asks
"Prepare yourself to never be the same in three, two, one." Tom says
Thunder then stepped out of the shadows raising his wings and had lightning radiating off him.
D'Angelo gasps "That is a big lizard."
Tom then walks up to him.
"Yup. This is Thunder, he's a dragon." He explains while petting him.
D'Angelo then turned around to see Light just sitting behind me scaring him a bit.
"Ah! Another one?" He asks
"Meet Light. She's a lightning dragon as well." I said scratching her head.
Behind D'Angelo was Wu and Wei which he numbed into.
"And that's Wu, and Wei." Jun says as D'Angelo bumps into each head.
D'Angelo then screams as he runs way scared.
"We're surrounded!" He says panicked
He backs into Thunder who nuzzles him. D'Angelo who was still scared then ran into the wall and was knocked unconscious.
We all stood by his side as we stared down at him.
"So glad we revealed the secret to him. He's been.....so helpful." Tom says
"Hm....." Jun says
We were now flying on our dragons when D'Angelo woke up.
"Oh man, (he laughs) I had the craziest dream." D'Angelo says
Wu then growls underneath him making D'Angelo gasp and Wu and Wei then dove downwards speeding up.
"Ah! Ah! I mean nightmare!" D'Angelo says
"Just relax, D'Angelo." Jun says
"Relax? I'm on a dragon! A huge flying dragon!" D'Angelo says
"Isn't it awesome?" Tom asks flying above him.
"You have to admit that this is pretty cool." I said
Light flew down next to D'Angelo before speeding up a bit.
"Didn't I mention that I'm afraid of heights?! (He starts hyperventilating) Ah!" D'Angelo screams and is hanging upside down.
"Now I know why no one talks about Dragon Club because no one survives Dragon Club!" He says
"These dragons are our friends. They're not gonna hurt you." Jun says
Wei grabs D'Angelo and threw him into the air and he lands back on Wu's neck.
"This is a direct violation of......everything! I've gotta report this." D'Angelo says
Tom and I flew down next to him.
"No, you can't! We have to keep the secret to protect the dragons. If anyone finds out—." Tom says and his phone starts to ring.
He answers it which reveals that Alex had called him.
"H-Hello?" Tom asks
"Tom, it's Alex. I caught an image of something in the fissure. Looks kinda.... Wingy." Alex says on the phone
"Wingy? Uh, I'm kinda busy right now, Alex, but I'll come by later, and we can talk about with my sister as well. Okay? See ya!" Tom says ending the call.
He sighs "This is starting to get outta hand."
Our dragons flew faster towards the Crystal realm making D'Angelo scream a bit.
We arrived in the Crystal Realm and D'Angelo started to hyperventilate again before he passed out.
"And there he goes again." Tom says
"D'Angelo! Do not go to the light!" Jun exclaims
"He's passed out, not dead. Sis? You got this one?" Tom asks
"Yup. Light?" I said
Light grumbles and stops cleaning her self and walks over to me.
"How about you give him a little jolt. Wake him up?" I said
Light grumbles and stands above D'Angelo and shocks him a bit waking him up.
D'Anglo screams and sits up.
"Where are we?" He asks
"Same place you were before. A giant world of dragons." Tom says
"Now let's help that injured dragon before—" Jun says but gets cut off by D'Angelo.
"Nope! No! No, no. Uh-uh. You said lizard. You didn't say anything about an injured dragon! I knew y'all were crazy. Why didn't I listen to that little voice inside? (He starts talking in a deeper voice ) "Those kids might seem cool, son, but they're gonna get you killed."D'Angelo says
"That little voice sounds an awful lot like your dad." Tom says
"You shouldn't let your father's words define you. You can choose what you want to do, you know?" I said
"Please, D'Angelo. You're the only one who knows anything about injured animals." Jun says
"Nope. Not it. I'm already trying to figure out how I'm gonna tell Pop." D'Angelo says
"I'll help you figure that out! You're not." Tom says
"Oh, and how are you gonna stop me?" D'Angelo asks
"We could just leave you down here." Tom says
"Huh?" D'Angelo questions
"Come on. The dragon's right over here. She has a hurt wing." Jun says pulling him towards the dragon.
We all started walking over to where the injured Gembreaker dragon was last seen.
"Was right over here." Tom says once we reached the location to see nothing over here.
"She must've.......flown away?" Jun questions
"Not with a hurt wing, she didn't. An injured animal isn't gonna lay out here in the open. It's gonna find cover from potential predators." D'Angelo explains
Light was picking up a piece of crystal that was on the ground.
"Think we just found where she could be." I said
Light put down the piece of crystal and we followed the trail.
We followed the trail of crystals on the ground which lead to the injured Gembreaker.
Once we found her she was growling defensively.
"See? There she is." D'Angelo says
The Gembreaker snarled at us.
"Whoa. That dragon looks like a wounded warrior." D'Angelo says
The Gembreaker roared but winced and groaned in pain.
"And she needs your help." Jun says
D'Angelo sighs and Jun holds out the first aid kit.
"Now you see why we can't just leave her like this." I said
"Okay, fine. The first thing we have to do is triage. Figure out exactly what's wrong.
The Gembreaker growled once D'Angelo got closer.
"Shh. It's okay." D'Angelo says
The Gembreaker starts to growl even more.
"That doesn't sound good!" D'Angelo says
The Gembreaker starts to fire a couple loogie bombs at us.
"Take cover!" I yelled
We quickly hid behind a crystal formation to avoid getting hit.
"Did you know it could do that?" D'Angelo asks
"I mean.....Yeah. I guess we kinda knew. Sorry." Tom says
"I'm sorry, too. Even though it's more his fault than mine." Jun says
"Something that we forgot to mention. Sorry." I said
"Is there anything else I need to know about the angry bomb blazing, armored dragon?" D'Angelo asks
"Mm, I think that about covers it." Tom says
"Yup! Yeah, that's the main stuff." Jun says
"Oh, their they're faster than they look." I said
"Right. Yep. The important point for after it gets healed." Tom says
"Any other ideas on how we can get close enough to help it?" Jun asks
"Uh.....double flanking maneuver. Works every time. Tom, you and Sparky here cover the right flank with Y/n, and Speedy here." D'Angelo says
Light and gives a confused grunt at the nickname.
"Jun and I will take the Wonder Twins and cover left. We'll over power the dragon from both sides, then when we have it under control, we'll administer aid." D'Angelo explains
Our dragons grunted at each other after hearing the plan.
Tom, and I were on the left side of the crystal sitting on our dragon's backs.
Thunder let out a nervous growl.
"I'm with you, pal. I wanted to keep Dragon Club a secret." Tom says
"Well, at least if we find anymore injured dragons we'll have some more hands." I said
Light just grumbled turning to Thunder.
I groaned "Yeah, yeah, and it is good that Dragon Club stays a secret as well. I'm with you on that."
Once D'Angelo gave the signal all three of our dragons flew up into the air above the Gembreaker's cover.
"Now! " D'Angelo yells
Our dragons flew behind D'Angelo and we saw that the Gembreaker was gone.
It was revealed that it was now behind us as it had shot a loogie bomb at D'Angelo making him scream.
"Did I mention dragons are also smart?" Tom asks
"Fall back! Fall back!" D'Angelo yells
We dodged more loogie bombs and hid behind a crystal formation.
"What did you get me into?" D'Angelo asks
"We got you into helping a wounded animal." Tom says
"Well now, you can get me back into my home!" D'Angelo yells walking away
"D'Angelo wait!" I said
We saw the injured Gembreaker try to fly again before it crashed into the ground letting out a pained groan.
"So, you're just gonna leave?" Jun asks
D'Angelo stayed quiet for a bit before turning back to us.
"Nah, you're right. I'll stay and help. Nobody, not even a grouchy old dragon, should be left out here, injured and alone." D'Angelo says
"We're gonna need another plan though." Tom says
"I think I have another plan." Jun says taking out a tranquilizer gun.
"A tranquilizer? Who's gonna do that?" D'Angelo asks
Jun then hands it to him as Tom and I both cross our arms.
D'Angelo sighs "Why didn't I listen to that little voice inside?" He says
He grabs the med kit and tranquilizer gun and hit behind a closer crystal formation.
"Okay. After I give the injection, we'll have to work fast to bandage and splint the wing, so be ready." D'Angelo says
"We will be." Jun says
D'Angelo then hid behind different crystal formations as he got closer to the Gembreaker.
"Alright, you gorgeous dragon. Time for you to get some D'Angelo!" D'Angelo says
D'Angelo ran out of his hiding spot and avoided several loogie bombs being fired at him.
"I can't watch." Jun says
"How did we ever think this was a good idea?" Tom asks
"We were pressed for time and not thinking." I said
D'Angelo was finally able to make it closer to the Gembreaker dragon who had flopped onto its side. D'Angelo jumped into the air and was about to inject the Gembreaker dragon with the tranquilizer but stopped.
The Gembreaker sighed and grumbled laying its head on the ground looking a bit scared.
D'Angelo gasped and pulled back the tranquilizer.
"Aw, you poor girl. You've seen your fair share of battles, huh? Let's see if I have something here." D'Angelo says crouching down to her level.
He opened up the med kit and found an ointment and rubbed it on her eye.
"There you go. You're not such a bad girl." D'Angelo says petting the Gembreakers horn.
"It's just like momma says. You just gotta let your guard down, and you'll find some way to connect." D'Angelo says
The Gembreaker grumbled happily.
We slowly got out of our hiding spot.
"He made it." Jun says
"He's not dead. So.......that's a plus." I said
"Yeah, and he survived. His parents will be so happy." Tom says
"Yup. He's not dead and he made it out alive." I said putting my hands in my pockets.
"You hurt your wing? I'm gonna take a look at it, okay?" D'Angelo says
D'Angelo opens the Gembreaker's wing to look at it while the Gembreaker let out some painful groans.
"Hm. Doesn't seem broken. Ah-ha. I think we found the problem. Hold still now.....(He pulls a crystal shard out of the wing.) Ah! Got it." D'Angelo says
The Gembreaker grunts and opens her wings to fly and flys around without feeling pain anymore before landing.
"You're all done." D'Angelo says petting the Gembreaker.
The Gembreaker let out a happy growl.
"You know, you're not a half bad patient, but you're lucky I don't have a come big enough to put on your head." D'Angelo says hugging the Gembreaker as she purrs.
D'Angelo then walked back over to us.
"You did it!" Jun exclaims
"Nice job!" Tom says
"Glad your both okay." I said
"Dr.D saves the day!"D'Angelo exclaims
Thunder, Light, Wu and Wei start snarling.
"Uh, what does that mean?" D'Angelo asks
"It's never good." Tom says
"Nope, not good." I said pointing to three more Gembreakers flying towards the one D'Angelo just helped.
"Those guys again?" Jun says
"Again?" D'Angelo questions
"Yeah, we had a little run in before. They can be a bit territorial." Tom says
"A bit?" I questioned
The three Gembreakers were flying closer to the one D'Angelo had healed.
"Wait! They must be coming back for the little one!" Jun says
"Quick! Hide before they spot us! We don't want them rejecting one of their own." Tom says
"Smart thinking." I said
"I don't know. Something doesn't feel right." D'Angelo says as we all hid behind a crystal formation.
The three Gembreakers got closer to the female Gembreaker.
"Aw, they recognize her!" Jun says
The three Gembreakers then started to attack the female one D'Angelo had just helped.
"Oh, man! What are they doing?" Jun asks
"Those must be the bullies who beat her up in the first place! Hey! Stop that!" D'Angelo explains before running out of our hiding spot.
'There he goes....'
"No, wait!" Jun yells
"Get away from her!" D'Angelo yells
The bully Gembreaker dragons growled at him.
"Oops. Ah! Help me!" D'Angelo screams as he runs away.
Thunder then blasts the Gembreakers chasing after him.
"Run, D! Get on with Jun!" Tom says
I got on Light's back and flew up after Tom.
D'Angelo runs to Wu's head and climbs on.
"Go, go, go!" D'Angelo yells
Wu wand Wei took off into the sky but the Gembreakers followed after them.
"Where's that little Gembreaker go?" D'Angelo asks
"She's long gone, and we've got our own problems!" Jun says
One of the Gembreakers behind us fires at Wu and Wei more.
"Jun! Look out!" Tom yells
Wu and Wei made many turns trying to lose the Gembreakers chasing them.
"Okay, Wu, ice em' up!" Jun exclaims
Wu blasts ice at one of the Gembreakers knocking them down.
"Now, Wei, bring the heat!" Jun exclaims
Wei then shot at the Gembreaker that Wu knocked down.
"Yeah, Jun!" Tom exclaims
"Nice hits." I said
A Gembreaker was still chasing after Tom and I.
"Let's crash him into the crystals! Sis! Follow me!" Tom says
"Right behind you!" I said
Thunder and Light both flew upwards and flew around different crystals as the Gembreaker just crashed through them all with ease.
"Okay, that didn't work. Head for the fissure! Whoa!" Tom says
The other two Gembreakers were blocking the exit and chased after us.
Two Gembreakers chased after Jun and D'Angelo and one of them fired at them causing D'Angelo to fall off.
"Jun! Sis! Let's split up and find D'Angelo." Tom says
"He couldn't have fallen far." I said
Just then two of the Gembreakers shot at us making Wu, Wei, Thunder, and Light fall to the ground.
We were knocked off our dragons as the three Gembreakers were walking towards us.
Just when they were about to reach us a giant crystal fell from above and landed on the three of them.
D'Angelo then flew down and landed next to us on the Gembreaker he healed.
The three Gembreakers then retreated and left us alone.
"And don't come back unless you want some more D'Angelo! Woo-hoo!" D'Angelo exclaims in triumph
"Yo! Did you see her out there? She went Gemzilla, just plowed her horn right into that crystal. Sent those bullies flying for the hills." He said
"You two were great." Jun says
"Okay, I have to admit. You were right." Tom says
"You said it yourself, I'm the Brian's if this outfit." Jun says
"No argument from me." Tom says
"Welcome to Dragon Club." I said holding my hand out for a fist bump.
"Get in here!" D'Angelo exclaims pulling me into a hug.
"Okay! You're a hugger. That's cool." I grumbled in his grip.
D'Angelo let me go.
"Well, now that you're bonded, you have to give her a name." Jun says
D'Angelo walked over to the Female Gembreaker.
"Plowhorn. Her name is Plowhorn." D'Angelo said
Plowhorn roared and Jun lightly hit Tom.
We then got onto our dragons and cheered as we flew out of the crystal realms and met up with D'Angelo's parents after saying good night to our dragons.
"You sure Plowhorn's okay?" D'Angelo asks
"Totally. Thunder, Light, Wu and Wu will make her feel right at home." Jun whispers
"She'll be fine. And remember, this whole thing is a secret." Tom says
"The first rule of Dragon Club is we don't talk about Dragon Club." I said
Chief Baker then brought over another plate to the table.
"Thanks so much for dinner." Jun says
We were handed steak and green beans.
"Yeah, this is great." Tom says
"You're always welcome." Angela says
"Yeah. We figured with your moms working late, you could use a home cooked meal." Chief Baker said
"I'm just happy D'Angelo got a chance to spend some time with you three." Angela says
Chief Baker laughs softly "So what do teenagers do on a Saturday in the middle of nowhere?" He asks
We started eating as D'Angelo talked and once we realized what he was talking about we stopped mid way through.
"Well, Pop, first I met some dragons, which was kinda crazy. Then, we went deep underground and almost got killed trying to rescue this other dragon. Then we had this insane dragon sky battle! I mean, it was boom! Boom! Explosions everywhere! It was sick!" D'Angelo explains before he glass and realizes what he just said
"There goes the first rule." I whispered to Tom
"What?" Chief Baker questions
"It's called Dragon Club, Phil. It's a role playing game, right." Angela asks
Tom gulps as we all looked at each other.
"Mm-hmm." We all said
"Uh-huh." D'Angelo says
"Oh. Alright, well, that sounds okay, I guess." Chief Baker says
"Yeah, it's all fun and games, until you get eaten." I said
Tom and Jun gave me a look and D'Angelo started laughing a bit before stopping.
"Please pass the potatoes." Jun says
