The next day we were in class, in a middle of exam and unknown person came in
"Mr.Sunn can I borrow Pope for a minute?" He spoke making me look at pope from confusion and then at Jay as Pope came out of the class
"Okay what was that?" Kie spoke as pope came back in
Pope raised a latter with the heart symbol, the same symbol that was in the gold
"Is that the wheat symbol?" I asked
"Yeah" Pope replied
"What the f—" Jay started to say before Ms.Sunn looked at him
"Fu... fu.. fudge?" He added mumbling
"Is it game of tag?" Jay asked as we walked out of the class to the laboratory

"Am I going to have to with your protector? What's going on? Jay kept on asking as the laboratory lady shush him
"Seriously pope, you are driving me insane" I said
"Okay, that guy was from the scholarship committee. Take a look at this. Read it" Pope said as he passed it the latter he showed as earlier

"I can't read cursive" Jay said as he passed it to Kie
"Dear Ms.Hayward, I am reaching out because I have material evidence that can exonerate John B. Routledge. It is a vital importance that you come and meet with me in person at my office at 27 King Street, Charleston at 8:00 p.m. sharp tonight. Please come alone" Kie read from the latter
"What the-" I said
"Charleston?" Jay said
"It's like an eight hour drive us the ferry. How will we get there tonight." Pope said
"We'd have to leave right now." Jay said
"I have a free period" Kie said
"Material evidence? What does that even mean?" Jay asked
"It mean he can clear John B." I said
"Oh, shit, then we're going to Charleston" jay said
"I gotta tell my mom" Kie said
"Look if we get it this time, we are not giving it to shoupe" Kie added
"No shit" I said
"What?" I asked after I saw Pope searching something in the computer
"I am not sure, but I think whoever this Kimberly person is, they might be related to the caption of the Royal Merchant" pope spoke

So we went to kies house, Kie wanted to ask from her parents to permission to go to Charleston with us
Pope and Jay were talking about something, I couldn't care less I just drowned at my own thoughts
Kie came towards us as we heard Mike, Kies dad shouting at her stuff and Jay walking o it for the care waving to Kies parents
"Look at your life right now!" Mike shout
"It's good to see y'all, Mr. And Mrs. Carrera" Jay said
"Hi, uh, ma'am, sir... I... I promise to have her back at a reasonable hour and safe" Pope spoke
"What are you doing?" Kie said to Pope
"Kiara listen to me, you wanna go, then you can go. But if you don't come back in the proper time then done come back at all" Kies mom spoke
"She's bluffing" Jay said
"Jay, just shut the fuck up for once" I said
"Y'all have a good day" Jay ignoring me getting into the car
"This shit would be so much easier without parents" Kie spoke making me look at jay as I see he was looking at me already
I knew he cared about me, this looks said it all. And this thought is terrifying me. I don't know why I am my brain is working that way, I wish I could've been enough for him.
We were on the way to Charleston, we arrived from the boat but Heywards car kind of died in the middle, so we took it to the nearest garage we doing in the area. After he fixed the car it was too late and we all decided to fall asleep in the car.

"I miss them" I said and looked at Jay, he gave me nod of agreement
"You sure this is the place pope?" Jay asked as we arrived

Pope knocked at the house, "you think that was too much?" He asked
"It echoed the entire house. That's for sure" Jay said
"Maybe nobodys home?" I said before pope knocked again
This time there was an answer, some guy came out for us and said "You must be pope"
"Um.. are you M.s limberty?" Pope asked
"Ms. Kimberly was expecting you yesterday" he corrected him
"Oh I- I am sorry the care broke down in the way here-" Pope said
"Carburetor blew up in the middle of nowheresvill" Jay said
"Sorry about that" I said
"Yeah she was uh really upset when you didn't showed up" The man spoke
"We also expected you to show up alone" the man added
"I mean these are my friends. They helped find the Royal Merchant too. I-" pope said
"The instructions were explicit your friends can stay outside" he said as pope came inside with the man, we all looked at him concerned

We saw pope, the man we saw earlier in the door and a woman who we guessed was Mrs. Librley
"Does that look voluntary?" kie asked
"Fuck no! look at him he obviously asking us to rescue him"
"Wait hold on hold on" said as I was about to get out of the car and help him
"What?" I asked
"They're going into the ally" Jay said
"We'll met them in the other side" Jay said, I could hear worry in his voice
We drove around to the other side but we didn't saw Pope for the a few minutes
We finally saw pope but he was fighting with the guy from earlier
We saw them both on the floor fighting to get stun gun that was lying on the floor, I quickly kicked it to Jay and we all ran away
"Who was these people?" Kie asked
"Let's just get the fuck out of here please" I said
"Here we go now" jay said as we saw car getting close to us
"I think he's following us" kie said
"Not shit" I said
"This is a one way" pope said
"I know" Jay said
"Go left" kie said in panic
"They're following us!" I yelled
"Hey! There's another car!" Pope said as we almost were crashed on another car
"Turn now!" Pope kept yelling
"Look out!" Pope yelled as we saw two people in the road, almost crashing into them
"Jesus motherfucker Christ! I said
"That was evasive driving technique right there y'all" Jay said
"Jay!" I said as the car stopped working
We all get out of the car "We gotta go!" Jay said as the car was getting closer to us
"Come on!" Pope said
"Go go go go go go" Kie said
"Shit he's got a gun" I said
"Shit! Get down!" Jay said
We kept running as we suddenly saw the two motherfuckers I've waited all summer to see. The two I thought were fucking dead.
There was a moment we all looked at each other, shocked, happy, exited, confused, concerned, peaceful, so many emotions but none of them could ever explain what seeing them made me feel.
"Get it get in get in!" John b finally spoke
Me and Kie got in the bike they got, by the two people who were running after them I figured it wasn't a legal way but I didn't really care
"Yeah yeah yeah" jay said
"Oh shit!" Pope said
"Come on! Pope! push! Come on!" Jay said
The man eventually slipped and fell down, stopped running after us
"See your later, asshole!" Pope said
"See you in hell motherfucker!" I yelled
"Blowing you a little big kiss!" Jay said
We all got back together again, and it felt right again.

"We're going to find some food" Sarah said as we got off the boat
"Oh! Jackpot!" Kie said as she raised a watermelon
"So you really got married?" Kie asked Sarah
"It wasn't exactly legal, but... yeah" Sarah said
"Holy shit!" I said with a smile
"Am I crazy or there is definitely something going on between you and Jj?" Sarah asked me
I looked down and shrug
"What's that about?" kie asked
"He's sweet and all but I don't know" I said before she nod
I've asked this question myself a lot of times, too many times. I don't want to destroy him lol I do to everyone else. I hate the way I makes him feel worry about me and I know he deserves someone better, someone happier that came take care for him.
"What y'all talking about?" Sarah asked as we came to the boat, the boys suddenly went quite when we arrived so it was kind of suspicious
"Uh... fishing" John b said
Dropping lures" Jay said and I hummed

"No one knows we are here, right? And you two aren't gonna get into any more trouble for showing up 12 hours later"

"So that means we have 12 hours to do whatever we want. Huh? A little pogue fellowship. How does that sound?" Jay offered
"Let the shit hit the fan tomorrow" John b agreed
"Yeah!" Jay said
"The cops could be looking for us it could be really stupid" Sarah said
"Sarah Cameron. You've heard my philosophy, right?" Jay said, I know this guy for only few months and hear that philosophy too many times
"No." Sarah answered
"Stupid things have good outcomes all the time"
"Who's with me? Lets get some beer!" He added
We all sat at the boat, Me and Jay brought the beers and chilled

When it has been getting late we all had a little party on the chateau, I've watched Jay being dumb and kie and pope walked off to fuck or something like that I'm a certain point
After a few hours of chilling I knew it would went down somehow.
We heard some voice from the bushes
"Wait wait wait wait wait" John b said
"What?" Jay asked
"you heard that too?" I asked
"What is that?" John b asked
"Your chucked?" Jay teased us
"I think it was a car door" I said and Jay clucks like a chucked to teas as again and John b put his hand on his mouth to shut him up
We all claimed the tree as we kept hearing voices coming towards us
This motherfucker came again. Rafe Cameron. He was with a gun.
I looked at Jay, I was scared as hell and I could've see anger and worry in his eyes
We heard Barry slamming and coming out of the chateau door
"Anything?" Rafe asked Barry
"No, aunt shit in here, bro" Barry spoke
"No? Nothing?" Rafe asked
"No, nothing Rafe" Barry answered
"They were obviously just here based off the smoke" Rafe spoke
"Yeah yeah great observation, Boy Scout" Barry said
"They gotta be outta here somewhere" Rafe said
"P4L" Barry read from the gravestone we made for John b
"We'll, shit" Rafe said with a chuckle
"So you're sister's a pogue for life, huh, Rafe? Now who would've thought?" Barry said
"Shit!!" He sour and pulled a few guns shots everywhere, in this moment my heart have been racing fast as fuck, I knew I was about to have a panic attack
Barry drugged Rafe and they left
"Shit Liv" Jay said as he came towards me, helping me get down the tree as I was shaking
"Liv you good?" John b asked, at this moment I wasn't able to speak or move or do anything, my breathing was heavily and I felt like in every minute all of the air in the world would end, and I would end.
"Sarah am you bring her some water or something?" Jay ask in panic
"Yeah yeah sure" she said and after a few seconds she came back "Here, drink" Sarah said passing me a glass of water
"Thank you" I said, still shaking but my breathing were better
"What was that about?" John b asked as he looked at me concerned
"Guys what happened? Because there is obviously thing you're not telling us" Sarah said
I looked at Jay and shaked my head to tell him to shut the hell up
"Guys what the fuck" Sarah said
"Jj shut the hell up" I said
"Jj speak the hell up" John b said getting serious
"Rafe- he..." jay was about to say as he looked at me and then looked down
"no jj please don't" I said looking at hime, but he kept looking down
"He fucking tried to rape you! He can't get away with this! It's not fair!" He said raising his voice as he stand up
"You fucking promised" I said as I watched sarah and John bs eyes started to fill with tears
"Oh now you give a shut about promises?" he said, I knew that he was still mad at me for the relapse
"Liv.." Sarah said as she was about to hug me but I pushed her
"Look it's alright it didn't even happened alright? Jesus it didn't even happened why are we still talking about this" I said as my eyes was starting to tear as well
"Liv it's okay I promise-" she still tried
"I am sorry but I don't want to have this conversation. Not right now" I said as I walked into the chateau
After a few seconds John b came into the guest room
"Look John b-"
"I know, you don't want to talk about it and I get it" he said
"I just want to be here for you, we don't have to say anything" he said and I put my head on his shoulders
After a few minutes of silent I decided to speak up "I am mad at jj for telling you, I do wanted to tell you guys but it my own time and not like this"
"Yeah he should've been let you the room to talk but he was worried about you, this dude really cared about you Liv" he said
"Yeah i know but it wasn't fair and the way he said that" I said
"That's jj you know, he doesn't always says the right things in the right tone or the right time, and I am not trying to defend him I mean he was wrong for that he just loves you"
The last sentence made me wonder, is it true?
I mean John b is jjs best friend and he do know him but I don't know.
"He loves you Liv" John b finally says after a while of me drowning in my thoughts. reading my mind
"I hope it was simple" I said with a sight making him put his hand on my shoulder
"I missed you so much" I said looking at him
"Me too" he said looking at me with a sad smile, I looked at him as well and returned him the same sad smile
