She was so noisy But Ethan wouldn't lie that he felt ting of excitement burn inside his body.
Scaring off the maid has become Ethan's habit that he found so fun and amusing, you gotta see their scared and terrified looks, it was something you will enjoy seeing.
There was no way you won't laugh at their faces and reactions but later feel bad and won't do it again. It was Ethan's one of the entertainments, Ethan looked at the maid with his blue jewelry eyes.
Ethan waved a black spider he was holding in his hand while glancing around and then his eyes again stopped at the passed out maid who was laying on the ground. Ethan scoffed in annoyance at the Maid, No because who would get scared of spiders? It's not even that big to get scared in the first place.
"Hmph, No fun. You passed out so easily." Ethan murmured under his breath with disappointment, he Tossed the spider away without a care. He then just walked past the maid that was on the ground, he didn't care if he would say the truth that the maid just passed out.
Why would he care about the maids that didn't even care enough to care for him properly in the first palace, Ethan wasn't that type of person to feel bad about someone that didn't care about him and took a blind eye on how they treated him, Ethan was not some sunshine ball.
And he himself knew that he would never bring himself to forgive these people who were no different than the people in his past life, these people made him want to crawl out from his skin, it was so disgusting that he wanted to throw up.
Ethan wiped the dirt from his cheeks, his cheeks were kind of dirty from the dust, The maids didn't even trouble themselves to properly clean Ethan's room, or bathe him and keep him Clean so Ethan got used to it, not like he knew what to do at this point in this world.
Ethan sighed as he looked around, he was planning to sneak out so he wanted to make sure that no one would see him so he wouldn't get in trouble, then he quickly sneaked in the kitchen to grab some food, if he was planning to sneak out then he would need to have food in the way so he wouldn't get hungry.
Ethan's eyes immediately scanned a new made Sandwich there. A smirk plastered on his lips and in the blink of an eye the sandwich was in his tiny hands. Ethan then ran out from the kitchen with a sly grin curled up all over his lips.
Ethan looked around as he made sure that there was no one, he at least needed to be careful because it would be a pain in the ass for anyone to notice him, he looked down at the sandwich in his hand and then put the sandwich in the bag he grabbed on the way.
Ethan opened the door silently to not make any noise and when he was out from the shabby palace he closed the door quickly and turned around. He ran without looking back.
'Hm...I'm already Six years old, I'm pretty Sure uh, Athanasia was five years old when she met Claude.' Ethan thought as he managed to sneak out from the palace without getting noticed, The maids didn't even hear the door opening and closing at all, it wouldn't take long for them to notice that Ethan sneaked out but Ethan would come back till they noticed.
Ethan would often and frequently sneak out whenever he wants and wander around to have some fun whenever he got bored, not like he had any guard that would scan every move of his so it was easy to sneak out whenever he wanted.
Ethan was deep in thoughts as he took out his sandwich to eat it, he was chewing on it while thinking about some things, mainly about Athanasia and Claude.
'If Athanasia meets Claude at the age of five, I heard from the maids that the abandoned Princess in the ruby palace was five years old, that means she'll meet Claude soon.' Ethan munched on the Sandwich.
'Then that means I'm her Older brother and I'm one year older than her.' Ethan let out a sigh, Well it wasn't not like he plans to meet Athanasia or Claude or even anyone else, he thought that it would be annoying to get dragged in all of the plot, Athanasia would gladly take care of it so Ethan didn't need to do anything.
Ethan huffed in annoyance but he stopped on his tracks when he snapped out of his thoughts, looking around with a frown he noticed that he got lost. Oh god as always. He should seriously pay attention to his surroundings the next time he sneaks out of the palace.
This always happens due to his careless behavior.
Ethan just shrugged his shoulders, well he would just try to find his way back then. He put the sandwich in his mouth and he leaned in, pulling the leaves of the bush away to see what was happening in front.
'This palace seems rather familiar.' Ethan hummed as he looked around but suddenly his eyes widened when he saw a girl with blonde-like golden wavy hair in front of him.
He took two steps back as he had his eyebrows furrowed, there was no way that it was today that Athanasia would meet Claude.
'What?! What's she doing here? What is Athanasia doing here?' Ethan frowned, he needed to quickly go back, he really didn't want to get dragged in the plot. He turned around wanting to quickly leave but he suddenly heard a voice that Made his body froze in the Palace.
"What's this bug doing in my palace?"
'W-What the hell, my body won't move. It's not my instinct?' Ethan took a deep breath to calm himself down, he then crunched down immediately. He didn't want to get noticed by Claude or Athanasia or anyone else at all.
He had a better life living in that shabby damned Palace, at least he could do what he wanted and living with Claude would be a hassle. Even if the food tasted like shit, even if no one was taking care of him, even if he was more than ten times left to die and no maid paid attention to him.
'Gosh I would rather die than even call that man father..ew.' Ethan deadpanned and took another bite of the sandwich while listening to Claude talking to Athanasia.
It was rather interesting and entertaining, it would be better if he had popcorn with him.
"And you." Ethan heard Claude's cold voice as his hands froze, Ethan was sure that Claude was talking about him. He tightly gripped the Sandwich he was holding and almost bit his tongue.
"Stop hiding like a scared cat and come out." Claude said with the same cold tone as Athanasia looked up at Claude in disbelief, this guy has officially lost it.
'What? has he gone crazy?' Athanasia stood there fidgeting as he looked at Claude with visible confusion.
Ethan gulped down, he then let out a sigh and got up. Etham walked out from the bush and the three people in front looked at him...He looked like a stray cat, With a sandwich that was half eaten in one hand and dust clothes.
Athanasius gasped at the sight, the boy in front of him had jeweled eyes!
'Holy shit?! is he some secret child?!' Athanasia's eyes were wide Open, wait no she needs to think rationally... she remembers that In the Lovely princess, there was a concubine that gave birth to a boy, Claude's first son.
If she remembers it correctly the boy's name was Ethan.
But sadly he died. He was still a baby when he died with his mother and only his name was known in the novel. Even only mentioned once and not anymore as if the character just was there to die from the start and get erased from existence.
What an unfortunate fate.
But the weird thing was that the boy was alive...maybe it happened Because she reincarnated..? Maybe something changed.
'Wait I'm in no position to worry about others! I'm destined to die too! T-T' Athanasia was crying in the inside as he looked at the boy that looked like someone who just ran away from somewhere.
Technically he did run away.
"Yes?" Ethan finally opened his mouth and folded his arms behind his back, staring at Claude in the eyes.
Claude ignored Ethan and looked at Athanasia as he continued something bullshit he was talking about, he was yapping too much.
"Then again I don't think I care where she came from." Claude grabbed Athanasia's chin and lifted it up Making Athanasia to straight up look at Claude in the eyes, Athanasia's eyes were trembling in fear.
Felix looked at the two in nervousness as Ethan stood next to Felix and shrugged his shoulders.
"Your majesty..."
"I remember what that wench Named you, I believe it was Athanasia." Ethan bit on the Sandwich again as Felix peeked towards Ethan who looked at Felix and raised his one eyebrow.
Felix then immediately looked away...This kid was weird...
"Hm...you've grown a lot." The words Claude spoke made Athanasia to shiver in fear as her whole body was trembling.
'grow a lot? does that mean he'll kill me since I'm old enough?!' Athanasia thought as her hands were shaking uncontrollably, it was obvious to Ethan that Athanasia was scared.
'What's with this guy?! he has to ignore Athanasia, what's with the sudden Attention?!' Athanasia took one step back but she stopped when suddenly something dropped.
CLANK.
Everyone's attention went to the jewels that rolled down on the ground.
"Oh..." Ethan covered his mouth as he looked at Athanasia with pity, I mean she lost so much money like that...Ethan would've cried, he's overall obsessed with Money.
'No! My no 7 and 9 Riches!' Athanasia gulped down as she was sweating all over, Claude looked down at the Jewel and stepped on it Making it break, Claude then went towards Athanasia and grabbed her.
'No! Don't kill me!' Athanasia was crying inside but suddenly.
Lift.
Athanasia was lifted up By Claude.

WHAAAAAT?!?? What the hell was happening?!
"You're heavy." Claude muttered out as Athanasia was in utter shock.
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!?
HEAVY?! HER?! Did he just call her HEAVY?!
