SALVATORE POV
It's been 12 years since our little rays of sunshine got taken from us. We've tried everything. We work for the mafia for fucks sake and we couldn't even protect them.
-12 YEARS AGO-
Me and My wife are sitting on the porch watching our kids while they play with huge smiles across their faces. My wife Alessia has Serena on her lap while watching the sunset. I look around for Silas and see her playing on the ground covered in mud.
What I've realized is that Silas and Serena are total opposites. While Serena likes watching the sunset Silas likes watching the moon and stars. Serena loves dresses Silas hates them. You would think that a 4 year old old girl would love to dress up and play princess. No not Silas. We handed her a barbie once and she tried to rip its head off. Is it weird to be afraid of my 4 year old daughter?
I snap out of my thoughts and realize that it's getting late. "Boys it's time to go inside and get ready for bed" I say. They stop doing what they were doing and look at me with a frown nonetheless they run towards the porch coming up the steps and all go through the front door one by one.
I stand and go over to where Silas is and pick her up she looks up at me and smiles. I smile back. "Hey munchkin I think a certain someone needs a bath no?" I say. "yeah you" Silas says giggling. I stare at her dumbfounded. "Where do you get this from hm?" I say grinning. "Hmmm" she puts a finger on her chin. "Mama" she says.
I look over at Alessia as soon as I do she looks away and stands up quickly to walk to the door. Yeah definitely gonna have to talk later. "Alright let's go and get you washed up" I say while walking up the porch stairs heading to the front door. When I walk in I see our maid Maria eyeing me Silas notices this and gives her a mini glare.
Ive tried to fire her many times but Alessia doesn't allow it we've argued many times about it and all she says is that shes innocent. Innocent or not shes annoying as fuck. I see her staring at Silas for a little too long. I hold Silas closer to me and walk past Maria as I make my way to the staircase.
ONE HOUR LATER
I finished tucking the kids into bed and I'm now making my way towards me and Alessia's room. I walk in and see Alessia on the bed reading a book she looks up and smiles at me and I smile back as I make my way to my closet to change into some pajamas. After I change I head to the bathroom to do my night routine. After I'm done with that I head out of the bathroom and walk towards the bed. As I sit down I grab the book from Alessia's hands
She looks at me with her eyebrows furrowed. "You know... Silas has your attitude" I say.
"I don't know what your talking about" she says as she lays down turning her back towards me
"Mhm right" I say as I roll my eyes. I lay down and grab Alessia's waist pulling her towards me. "I still don't like Maria" I say.
Alessia sighs. "You've had a bad feeling about her for awhile now if she was planning on doing something she would have done it by now just go to sleep Salvatore everything is fine" she says reassuringly.
I'm silent for a moment. "I guess your right goodnight Alessia" I say in an unsure tone
"Goodnight Salvatore" she says tiredly
I close my eyes in hope for sleep to take me.
ONE HOUR LATER
I still can't sleep I look over at Alessia and she's sound asleep. I have this bad feeling that hasn't gone away and I don't know why.
Maybe I should check on the kids just to make sure their okay. I get up from the bed and walk to the door opening it and stepping out to walk to Giovanni's room
When I open the door I see him peacefully sleeping
As I check the other boys rooms they're all in their beds sleeping. I can't say peacefully though because half of Dante's body is hanging off his bed. Fucking kid.
I walk to the twins room and I open the door only to see that they were not there. My heart sunk. I run to the bathroom to check if their there but they weren't. I run downstairs to see if they were in the kitchen only to see it was empty I even checked the living room to see if they woke up to watch something on the tv but yet again it was empty.
I run back upstairs to me and Alessia's room and shake Alessia awake she sits up in alert and looks up at me confused. "The twins weren't in their rooms and I can't find them anywhere" I say freaked out. Once Alessia hears that she shoots up from the bed
"What do you mean you can't find them anywhere" she says raising her voice
"I checked everywhere I cant find them" I say nervously while running a hand through my hair
Alessia runs past me to go to the girls room.
I walk out to follow her and when I walk into the girls room I see Alessia holding a paper. A note. with tears in her eyes I walk up to her and grab the paper and it said. " YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THIS COMING. I WAS SO SICK OF WATCHING YOU GUYS FROM AFAR HAVING THE PERFECT FAMILY WHILE I SAT THERE WATCHING THE LOVE OF MY LIFE WITH SOME SPOILED BITCH. THOSE KIDS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MINE. I WAS SO JEALOUS OF ALESSIA THAT I COULDNT HANDLE IT ANYMORE. SO YOU KNOW WHAT I DID? I TOOK YOUR "LITTLE RAYS OF SUNSHINE" AWAY FROM YOU AND YOU WILL NEVER GET THEM BACK.

When I finish reading I stare at it dumbfounded the bitch was jealous this whole time how fucking pathetic. And then I realize something.
She has the twins.

END OF FLASHBACK
SALVATORE POV
I'm sitting in my office when suddenly my phone rings i look at it and see it's a random number I pick up and wait for the person on the other line to talk.
"Hello is this Salvatore Bianchi?" A women's voice asks
"Yes? Now What do you want" I say leaning back in my chair already feeling bored
"Well I'm Silas Bianchi and Serena Bianchi's social worker I've called you to inform you that their guardian Maria Sanchez has died in a car accident." She says
I sit up properly my jaw drops I'm silent for at least a minute.
"Sir are you still there" the women asks
"Yes- Yes sorry I'm still here. Are they with you? Are my kids with you?." I say
"Well no they have not been informed yet I think it's best if you come down for when we explain it to them that is if you want to take them in" she says
"Yes yes of course uhm where exactly are they" I ask
"Spain they go to school called "Barcelona high"
Their 3 hours away.
"Yeah I'll be there tomorrow thank you" I hang up and stand quickly walk to the door. I open it and see Giovanni about to knock.
"Why the hell are you smiling like that" he says raising a brow
"I know where Silas and Serena are" I say while grinning so much it hurts
Giovanni's eyes widen "what how" he says.
I stop smiling "that bitch Maria died in a car accident" I say. Giovanni scowls
"Where are they" he says
"Spain" I say. He looks at me dumbfounded
"That's like three hours away, no?" he says.
"Which is why we need to get ready to go on our Jet" I say as I start to walk past him and he follows me.
"We?" He asks confusion lacing his tone.
"I want you to come with me and don't tell anyone else I want it to be a surprise" I say walking up the stairs
"Oh well okay I'll get ready right now" he says and walks to his room.
This will be interesting.
2 HOURS LATER (THEIR ON THE JET)
"What if they don't want anything to with us dad" Giovanni asks.
"They don't really have a choice plus their not going to be attached to us so quickly or probably even be comfortable around us we have to be patient" I say. He nods
Hopefully this goes well.
TIMESKIP (when their at the school)
We're sitting at the corner of the principals office eagerly waiting for the girls. At the corner of my eye i see Giovanni's leg bouncing something he does when he's nervous
Just as I'm about to say something the door opens. Wow. One comes in and holds the door open for the other. Their absolutely beautiful.
Their still total opposites. Silas has a blank face void of emotion and Serena has a smile on her face.
Still different I see.

My eyes widen a bit when I see that Silas has tattoos. Where the hell did she get those from.
When they sit down in front of the principals desk the principal gives them a look of sympathy. I roll my eyes. That bitch deserved to die it's not like she was wanted anyway.
Silas looks at Me and Giovanni. She still has the most beautiful green eyes. I give her a fake sad smile and she looks at Giovanni who's giving her a blank look. I know Giovanni doesn't mean to come off as rude but when he's nervous he tends to avoid everything.
She looks back at the principal who's name i don't know and don't care about.
"Hello Silas and Serena I know you guys are wondering why you've been called in the office" he says. And what Silas says shocks me
"Yea so can you fucking tell us why the hell we're here already" she says.
Well damn I'm guessing she doesn't have a lot of patience
My lips curl up into a smile.
Serena nudges Silas at the side of her rib Silas winces and glares at her. "Be nice" Serena says.
Silas rolls her eyes and puts her hands up in defense. "So why are we here Jeff" she says glaring at him. And you can see how tense he got. I try not to laugh.
Her glare definitely has gotten more powerful since she was 4 I feel pride swell in me.
"I'm sorry to inform you but your legal guardian has gotten into a car accident" he says. I have to put my fist to my mouth to stop me from laughing. I look over to Giovanni and he's smiling.
Wait what if she really was a mother figure to them I don't wanna be laughing if their gonna be in tears.
I look at Silas and see her staring blankly at Jeff. "Oh" she says. I tilt my head looking at her Okay what the hell did this women do to them.
I look over at Serena and she looks upset. Wait so maybe she wasn't that bad? I'm confused by both their reactions. Either way I'm going to find out how that bitch she treated my daughters.
"Oh?" Jeff repeats while he looks at her like she's grown two heads.
Silas looks at Serena and looks at her like she's confused to why Serena is upset.
She looks like she doesn't know what to do so she hugs her.
Me and Giovanni look at eachother Giovanni shrugs. "What do they have to do with this" Silas says while pointing in our direction. Serena sits up and looks to where Silas is pointing at and looks at both me and Giovanni observing us.
She looks at Silas confused.
"Well" Jeff says trailing off. Holy shit I'm nervous as fuck right now. He's taking too long.
"These are-"
I cut him off. "Im your father Salvatore and this" I say while pointing to Giovanni. "Is your brother Giovanni" I say while smiling.
Both Silas and Serena look shocked.
Welp this is going to be fun.
