Chapter 24 (Justice has to be served)
The woman then starts to think of her own family that gave up on her and not even dare to stand up for her and now there are four strangers wanting to seek justice for her, the woman doesn't even know if her tears are because of bitterness or happiness.
After a short time of wailing, the woman turns around and begins to kneel on the sand and kowtow to them, making all of the shocked and stunned.
"Thank you for helping me, you are my lifesaver, and three kowtows are all I can offer now"
The woman told them with tears and after a while, she told them.
"This is my story.........." The pale lady wanted to start talking but suddenly everyone heard a sound from Xiao Yuan like the world has turned upside down.
"Ahhhhhhh.......young master...."
"You...you have no shoes....." Xiao Yuan screams his head off like third world war is looming around.
Everyone instead of waiting to listen to the story started to focus on Lan Zhan including the pale woman, Mdm Yi.
Lan Zhan was shocked by Xiao Yuan's scream and also started to look at his own white feet standing on the sand on his feet and because he is running barefooted and now his little white lotus feet were a little pinkish which looks so cute like a birthday bun (in ancient times, they have a birthday bun which is white with some pink on top of it, eating it will signify long life).
Xiao Yuan is full of anxiety, looking at the pink foot, to him, this is the greatest disaster on earth, the little ger who almost lost his head, hurried moved his body forward to his master and looks at the pink feet in tears.
"T-this....h-how......" Xiao Yuan cried bitterly.
Lan Zhan is a little confused and he wriggles his little toes and asked innocently
"How ...what?" Lan Zhan asked with his head full of question marks.
Xiao Yuan took a handkerchief from his belt and squat down to clean the tiny sand away from the white lotus feet as he cries.
Lan Zhan is so shocked and fluttered that he curls up his toes
"It is just sand "
"the sand is soft"
"Why are you like a silly beanie ...crying..." Lan Zhan asks with shock
Xiao Yuan looks so aggrieved that even if his relatives passed away might not have this reaction.
"The body of the roy....you are worth more than all the gold in the land...." Xiao Yuan cleans as he cries
It is then Lan Zhan had a light bulb moment of his present status but still in his mind, he is a boy and so he walks backward and laughs slightly
"Don't cry..."
"Don't.... clean..."
"I am fine....."
Lan Zhan even pouted when he speaks because he feels that he is seen as a weakling who cannot cover the weather and wind.
Xiao Yuan was stunned and looks at Lan Zhan with tears
"Little master, not happy with my cleaning....." Xiao Yuan goes into self-blamed aggrievedly and ended up with more tears.
Lan Zhan does not almost die of anger and he just looks around and he knew he needed a compromise with his little crying ger.
Lan Zhan took a deep breath and he looks afar, they needed to get to the grass areas, where he could then find a place to sit down and clean his feet. Lan Zhan although is a boy, he also doesn't want sand in his shoes.
"Okay, I walk to the grass area and clean my feet and wear the shoes...."
"Stop crying..."
"Your tears give me a headache" Lan Zhan pouts cutely.
The glaring and penetrating eyes of Wei Ying have never left Lan Zhan and are now worrying about the little beauty. Wei Ying narrows his eyes and when he saw the pinkish foot, his eyes soften and tender including a tint of pain in his heart.
Xiao Yuan stops crying but slowly speaks with some sobbing sound
"No...I will carry you...." Xiao Yuan wouldn't allow his master, the prince of Lan country suffers barefoot.
Lan Zhan looks at the small size of Xiao Yuan and he laughs loudly
"No....I will walk myself" the decisive prince told his little servant ger, and instantly tears alive river flows from Xiao Yuan.
Lan Zhan actually has a headache looking at his dutiful and pitiful servant and finally, he looks at Wei Ying and told him
"You piggyback me again....." Lan Zhan told Wei Ying
Instantly, Wei Ying nods and his eyes are so bright that even he can light up the street lights.
"Yesss......" Wei Ying's voice is not loud but very affirmative.
Xing is behind with Mdm Yi who is now waiting with her wet clothing but Xing had kindly given her his outer clothing so that she wouldn't be sick from the cold.
He had heard all the conversation above and he had only one conclusion, his young master is happy like birds in the sky, having the opportunity to carry his beauty.
Wei Ying always has a stern face, but whenever he faces Lan Zhan, there is softness all over like marshmallows. When he heard that Lan Zhan wanted him to piggyback him, immediately, the heartbeat accelerated and the joy in his heart couldn't stop anymore, it just shows that Lan Zhan had immersed trust in him.
Immediately, Wei Ying moved forward and bend down for Lan Zhan to climb on his back, everything seems so familiar and logical that no one can complain about it.
Xiao Yuan also stopped crying, seeing that his young master has been taken care of, although, he felt something is not right, but there is one word that Lan Zhan spoke and he felt defeated.
Lan Zhan announced to Xiao Yuan
"Wei Ge is my bodyguard, he will do everything to protect me....." This sentence seems to cover everything from top to bottom and no one can defeat it.
So, the group of four headed towards the governor's house accordingly, Lan Zhan let Wei Ying carry him to the grass and Xiao Yuan cleaned up his foot and helped him to put on the shoes.
The four of them arrived at the governor's house, and all the servants bow like they had seen the emperor, everyone has been given strict instructions to treat the four of them like emperors.
Wei Ying has a stiff face when he is facing others and so Xiao Yuan is the one that told the servants to give Mdm Yi a room and clothes to bathe and come out for some refreshments.
Then, Lan Zhan was taken by Xiao Yuan to have a shower and clean up and the rest of them went back to their rooms to clean up as well.
In an hour, everyone have changed and came out to meet in their own private West courtyard given by the governor. The governor is indeed afraid of them especially when he knew the status of Lan Zhan is the rank of high royalty.
Mdm Yi cleaned herself up and when she came up, she wore a simple dress and with her face cleaned up, she is a slightly above average middle age woman. Her etiquette is that of an above-average family.
The four of them were given delicious food and nobility and manner are something that no one can pretend, the way the Lan Zhan and Wei Ying eats is natural, and well known that they are born from a family of royalty. Every movement of theirs is full of aura of nobility, and having the servants to serve them is like a daily routine that they have accepted it in their bones and blood.
Mdm Yi is an above-average family upbringing, she ate nicely and cleanly but still it is a far stretch from that of Lan Zhan and Wei Ying.
After the meals, Mdm Yi seems to have more color on her face and she looks more like a woman with proper health.
After the meal, Lan Zhan is like a small kid and he can't wait and so he asks Mdm Yi
"What happens....."
"Tell me your story....."
Mdm Yi bows her head and slowly relates her story to them.
"I came from a family of scholars......." Mdm Yi has red eyes when she speaks
"My father is well educated and respected in this province, they are deeply in love and thus they have two daughters and a son, although, we are well respected and educated, we are not rich like many other families but we get by...." Mdm Yi continues
"I am the eldest in the family, thus, I am also entrusted with taking care of my little siblings which I enjoy very much. My parents are teachers at the Institute of Education, thus, they work hard and their reputation is the most important matter in our family. This is so in order for them to work continuously to support the family".
Mdm Yi took a deep breath, everyone is listening very intensely especially Lan Zhan, who is more interested to be the ancient Sherlock Holmes than anything else.
"When we turn ten, we will follow our father to the school and then study with the rest of the students," Mdm Yi told them.
"However, being a girl, it is usually not allowed to go to school and those that are rich will have private tutors, but because we are the family of the teachers, we are allowed to study at one end of the class and usually sit behind my parents," Mdm Yi told them and her mind seems to think of the past and there were slight smiles and joy in her heart as the words that come out of her mouth begins to get lighter.
"We are not only students but also helpers in the school, we take care of the students such as distribution papers and inking their ink and helping in whatever possible ways so that my father has a lighter load in his work" Mdm Yi told them.
Everyone listens with no interruption and it is like listening to a bedtime story.
Mdm Yi seems to have gone back in times when she speaks, there were smiles on her face and her eyes look afar like she is already in the past time of her life.
"When I was sixteen, I met a very good man as a student. He is always kind to me and sometimes even stays late to help me with my work..." Mdm Yi had a curve on her mouth, like a young girl being in love.
Mdm Yi looks at the others in embarrassment and then she continued
"It was the first time in my life that someone pay attention to me as a man. The man's name is Wang Tingyu. He is my present husband now...' Mdm Yi sighed and look at them
Lan Zhan is so curious and couldn't be helped asking
"You married someone that you like, why so sad, huh?" Lan Zhan asks like a child, Wei Ying moved like a parent and wanted to protect this cute child.
Mdm Yi then continue her story
"I was young but Wang Tingyu is already twenty years of age and it is a marriageable age, so we fell in love...." Mdm Yi smiles slightly.
Then there was a frown on Mdm Yi's face
"My father is a man that is very stern and strong in his bones, he knew about our relationship and he was strongly against..." Mdm Yi speaks slowly and sadly and Lan Zhan had an "O" shaped mouth
"Huh?"
"Why?"
To Lan Zhan, he is still in the stage of freedom of love in modern times, he is drifting in and out of his character.
Mdm Yi raised he eyes to look at the kind ger who wanted to save her life.
"My father felt that Tingyu comes from a wealthy family and we are from an average family and thus we were unmatched and ultimately the person that suffers, in the end, will be me..." Mdm Yi sobs slightly and in a dazed, she speaks
"He is not wrong...." Mdm Yi told them
"My father told me that Tingyu has two sisters and an only son and so they will not hesitate to take a second wife for him to have more descendants and my father told me that I will suffer" Mdm Yi told them
"However, Tingyu promised me that he will never look at another woman and we will be together for a lifetime and so against my father's wishes, I got married to Tingyu..." Mdm Yi continues.
Lan Zhan frowns deeply so that he could even hold a thin piece of paper in between the frown as he came from the modern world and this is unacceptable to him.
"We were very happy at the first few years and soon I got pregnant, which is a joy in the family..." Mdm Yi told them
Then Mdm Yi signs
"However, I got two girls in between the first five years and my mother-in-law begins to feel impatience and forced my husband to have a second wife..." Mdm Yi begins to sob bitterly
Lan Zhan couldn't stand it and pouted his mouth
"What a scumbag?"
"Hump!!!!!"
"Faked promise"
Lan Zhan speaks loudly with a little pink on his cheek and he doesn't know how cute he looks Wei Ying is like having ecstasy looking at him. Even when Lan Zhan is angry, he is so super cute.
Mdm Yi seems to be still in love with her husband and told them
"I got pregnant again for the third time, but the second wife also said she is pregnant and this makes me very angry with my husband as he breaks our promise..." Mdm Yi told everyone with tears
"My husband declared that he did not touch her but he was drunk once but he knew he didn't do it because he knew his own body my mother-in-law is so happy that the second wife also got pregnant and there is nothing that I can do but to pray for a son" Mdm Yi continued.
"On the day of giving birth, I heard that the second wife is also due for birth. I was in such pain but I knew the baby was finally delivered and it was crying loudly and I heard that it was a boy and then I fell into a coma" Mdm Yi told them.
The weeping becomes loudly
"When I woke up they told me that I was in a coma for three days and I gave birth to a dead girl and the second wife gave birth to a healthy boy and then they chased me out of the house because it was bad luck to have a stillborn baby...." Mdm Yi cried and cried.
"My husband begged for me but he is not the master of the house, my mother-in-law holds the power and I was chased out of the house with nowhere to go..." Mdm Yi cried
"I can't go back to my family...I-I..go against their wishes to marry my husband...." Mdm Yi cried and cried and Xiao Yuan already comforting her....
"That is where you found me and that is my solution to my life..." Mdm Yi already had swollen reds now.
Wei Ying and Lan Zhan listened intensely and Xing is more of a rushed man and he slaps the table with his angry soul but still looks at his young master for direction.
Wei Ying is an experienced man but now his status is a bodyguard, if not he will definitely investigate till death.
Lan Zhan is so angry that his face is now red and green and somehow, he goes for his familiar source and looks at Wei Ying, there seems to be no need for words to communicate and Wei Ying already knew what Lan Zhan wants to ask him
"Mmmm......"
"Lots of unclear areas...." Wei Ying told Lan Zhan very softly and the little head of the ger nods and his white teeth shows his anger
"Justice has to be served...." Wei Ying speaks softly as he knew that Lan Zhan is not going to sit with the unjust way
"This call for Justice Pao..." Lan Zhan announced loudly
Everyone looks at Lan Zhan and Xing asks him in a stunned voice
"Where to find Justice Pao...." Xing asks
Lan Zhan giggles a little and then rolls his cute little eyes
"Here....." Lan Zhan points to himself and then he rubs his nose a little with his thumb
"Okay. maybe a Xiao Justice Pao" Lan Zhan with a red face told them.
Wei Ying is so enchanted that he smiles and shows his teeth, his little beauty is so cute to death but Xing couldn't hold his mouth
"What?"
"Look more like a little white pao pao...." Xing is describing the fair and cute look of Lan Zhan.
Lan Zhan storms his little feet and looks at Xing aggrievedly but all is solved when Wei Ying opens his golden mouth
"It is indeed a Xiao Justice pao...." Xing can only roll over to find a place to hide and wonders
"Is this still his young and mighty young master?"
