As I walked into Raylan's house, I couldn't help but feel sadness as I thought about Jamel, who was hours away from me (Hes literally only a couple minutes away)
"It's Easter and I miss my man," I muttered to myself. "Ugh, Why would y'all have all these decorations out knowing my man knows decorations exist? Yall the reason i'm missing my man." I said to Raylan and his wife, Maniah who was busy preparing for everyone to come.
"Shut up girl." Maniah laughed.
"She got a nigga and ain't shut up since, Yeen ain't even do this much when you was with Ratata."
"I ran into him when I was in California with Ja."
Raylan and Maniah exchanged a glance before Maniah spoke up "Now how did that go and why are you just telling me now? You guys were in Cali in January, You don't even tell me stuff anymore."
"It just isn't that important to me. We just ran into him at his mom's restaurant, and I felt so awkward talking to him," I explained, feeling embarrassed all over again. "My life been so boring so that's why you haven't been told stuff."
Maniah chuckled, "Girl, you always got something going on. But it's okay, we'll just have to make sure we spice up your life a bit more."
"Where's Kayden and Mackenzie?" I asked bringing up Ahmahdi's brother and sister.
"I gave them some melatonin now they sleep."
I laughed at Maniah's response, knowing how energetic Kayden and Mackenzie could be. "I don't blame you. So what we got on the agenda for today?" I asked as I looked around the house.
"All we need to do is set up the egg hunt and get the easter baskets ready."
"How many kids are coming?" I asked.
"I think around 15 kids, give or take. We should have enough eggs and baskets for everyone."!Maniah replied, as she led me to the kitchen.
"While y'all do all that ima sleep. Wake me up when the game start." Raylan said walking up the stairs. Today was the last basketball game of the season. I wanted to go so bad to see Jamel play but because of this fake ass breakup I can't.
"Lazy ass." Maniah shook her head at Raylan's comment before turning her attention back to me. "Okay so I've only made about two baskets and I haven't even started on the egg hunt."
"That's okay, I can help," I said.
Maniah smiled. "Thanks girlie."
We spent the next hour selecting items for each basket, from small toys and stuffed animals to candy and chocolate eggs. Maniah had also prepared some personalized name tags for each basket, "I'm still upset I didn't get a basket."
"Semaijah you too grown."
"Since when was there an age where you stop getting Easter baskets? That's fine because I'll just tell my boyfriend to get me a basket. He asked me if I wanted one this morning anyways."
"This girl is really mad about not getting this damn basket, Fine Semaijah I'll make you one."
"Aw really? You didn't have to." I wiped away some fake tears and she rolled her eyes picking up a basket.
"Girl go set up the egg hunt and make sure you pick some good spots to hide these eggs."
"Where's the eggs? Go in my wallet and get $200 and put it in the golden egg."
"$200? Since when yall started doing all that when it comes to the golden egg? When I was little my golden egg was $20 or lower."
"Right and Raylan the one that suggested it. This my first and only time doing it I don't want these people thinking I got money asum and I definitely don't want them thinking I should hold the Easter egg hunt every year, I don't fuck with y'all like that."
"Felt."
"Guh you got money like that."
"Who? Baby I'm broke." I lied making a face.
"All you do is lie and switch up yo hairstyles. You my rich daughter. Since I'm making you a basket are you going to buy me a Benz for Mother's Day?"
"I'll think about it."
"You gon think about it? Oop let me make sure this basket extra nice gone and set up that Easter hunt my favorite daughter." She smiled before sticking out her tongue and doing a lil dance.
I grabbed the basket of eggs and headed outside to set up the hunt. The backyard was spacious and had plenty of hiding spots, from behind trees to under bushes. I began to place the eggs around the yard, trying to make it challenging but not too challenging.
"Semaijah! I missed you!" I heard Mackenzie yell.
I smiled at Mackenzie as she ran towards me. "Hey, I missed you too!" I bent down and picked her up kissing her cheek "Are you ready? I am."
Mackenzie nodded. "Yes. Did you hide the eggs?"
"Yes, I hid the eggs."
"Okay, Can you help me find the eggs when everyone gets here? Everyone has someone to partner with and I have no one."
"Why aren't you partnering with Kayden?"
"Because he's partnering with Zahir, I didn't want to partner with Kayden anyways." She crossed her arms looking at Kayden and Zahir who was in the kitchen talking to Maniah.
"You know I can't be your partner because I hid the eggs and that would be cheating. Your daddy wouldn't say no to you, Ask him to be your partner."
"Oh yeah, Daddy can be my partner!" She ran off towards Raylan, calling out his name excitedly.
You know black people are never on time so as expected, parents and their kids started trickling in a bit later than told. But once they arrived, the house was filled with laughter, chatter, and the sound of kids running around excitedly.
I took my phone out of my pocket and unlocked it going to my FaceTime call log pressing Ja's contact. The phone rang a few times before Ja answered, his face appearing on the screen. "Waddup sweetguccilicious?" he asked, a smile on his face.
"Aww I wish I was recording that so I could listen to it every hour. That just got my pussy hard."
"Man what?" He laughed "Where you at? How my baby doing? You fed her?"
"At Raylan house watching these kids run around looking for some eggs and what baby?"
"Our baby that's in yo stomach right now."
"I'm not pregnant, Stop acting like that."
"Let me talk to my baby bruh." He kissed his teeth and I mugged him because who's your bruh? I am your girlfriend, your everything and your sweetguccilicious like what? Don't call me bruh.

"I'll let you talk to your nonexistent baby." I showed him my stomach "Ain't shit in this stomach of mine but food but whatever."

"The demons tryna come between our bond already, We gotta bathe you in holy water when you get out matter fact we gon start today." He said shaking his head and I rolled my eyes and hung up on him, I am not for the bullshit.

"This man is so funny." I mumbled putting my phone back in my pocket. I stood watching all the kids and Raylan run around looking for eggs and looked down at my phone "I'm going to sleep." I went back inside of the house "Wake me up when the food is done." I walked to the stairs but right when I was about to walk up the stairs the doorbell ring, "Not my house." I continued walking up the stairs and went inside of one of the rooms laying down in the bed.

"Yes Ameili?" I answered the phone.
"Girl did you and Ja break up for real? Why did shaderoom post a video of him smiling all up in this girl's face and now everybody is thinking he moved on from you for real? Or is this part of the whole publicity stunt breakup plan?"
"Huh?" I sat up on my bed "No me and Ja didn't break up for real and this isn't apart of that."
"Then what is going on?" Ameili pressed "I sent you the post on Instagram and why the hell did someone text gossipofthecity and told her the reason why you and Ja broke up is because he cheated?"
"He ain't cheat on me." I mumbled pressing the post that Ameili sent me. My eyebrows furrowed as I watched the video of Jamel standing in front of some girl smiling all up in her face and she was smiling too. The video went from them talking to her giving him his phone and him typing something in her phone which I'm guessing is his number.
I felt my heart drop. "What the fuck?" My voice shook. "I don't know what's going on. Maybe it's just a misunderstanding?" I suggested hopefully.
"Girl, that doesn't look like a misunderstanding to me." Ameili said. "I know one thing for sure and two things for certain he bet not be cheating."
"I don't want to jump to conclusions just yet." I tried to stay positive"Maybe he was just talking to a friend or something."I'm going to call him." I stated before ending the call.
I pressed Jamel's contact calling him, but he didn't answer. The call went straight to voicemail. I tried again and again, but still no answer. My mind raced with all kinds of thoughts and scenarios, but I tried to push them out of my head. I went to the find my app and Ja's showed no location available "Oh I'ma fuck him up."
Hours passed and I still hadn't heard from Ja. My anxiety was through the roof and I couldn't concentrate on anything else. I tried to fight the thoughts where I think he's cheating but clearly I lost chile, He's probably somewhere fucking that girl right now.
"My easter basket cute and that's all that matters." I played with the blue bow on my basket.
"And you will die if you live for to die, See the demons in your eyes." When I heard Jamel rap, I left the kitchen. When he spotted me, he grinned, and I simply stood there."What? Yeen gon tell me congratulations?"
"You ain't see me calling you?" I questioned him putting my hand on my hip. He raised his phone and touched the side button showing the battery with the charger screen "Hmph, And you ain't think to charge it at all?"
"I was at the club."
My heart was pounding as I looked at him. I didn't know how to bring up the video or the rumors without sounding accusatory. This is literally bringing me back to when I used to date Razzi and would ask him about the girls he cheated on me with. "Um, did you have a good time at the club?" I asked.
"Yeah it was cool, Why You seem tense?"
"Let me stop trying to beat around the bush, Who's that girl from the game? And why were you up all in her face smiling and what was that whole thing where you took her phone and typed something which I'm guessing is your number?"
"What girl you talking bout?" He asked.
"The girl with the red jacket." I explained and he furrowed his eyebrows "Don't act like youn know what I'm talking about. I saw the video of you two and you was smiling in her face."
Jamel's face fell as he realized what I was talking about "Look, I can explain." he started, but I cut him off.
"I don't want to hear any excuses, Ja. If you're cheating on me, just say it."
"Cheating? I ain't cheat on you, Hell?"
"Then what was with the girl?" I asked him.
"Her brother a fan of me and she was telling me how much he love me and my games, When I took her phone I was writing my dad email down in her notes since she wanted her brother to talk to me on the phone and she gotta handle that with my manager."
I listened to Jamel's explanation and felt a small sense of relief. But at the same time, I couldn't help but feel skeptical. "That's all?" I asked.
He nodded. "Yeah, that's all it was. I swear."
I took a deep breath and looked at him, trying to gauge whether or not he was telling the truth. "Okay," I said finally, still not completely convinced "You're telling the truth?"
"Yes I'm telling the truth. Ian cheating on you. If I knew I wasn't gon be faithful in our relationship I would've never asked you to be my girlfriend. I wouldn't waste yo time like that. Ion want nobody but you." He reassured me.
"Okay," I said again, this time with more conviction. "I believe you."
"You was mad and that's why you wasn't at my house?" He asked.
"Maybe." I admitted, feeling a little embarrassed.
Jamel chuckled "Made me drive all the way over here and you know I be tired."
"I'm sorry. I just needed some time to think."
"It's all good."
I nodded. "Mhm. And I'm sorry for accusing you of cheating on me without hearing your side of the story first." I rolled my eyes.
"You good. I understand why you would think that. I appreciate that you trusted me enough to give me the chance to explain though." Jamel took my hand in his and I squeezed his hand.
"Okay now that that's over with I'm going to sleep." I stated and me and Jamel both went inside of my room and I straddled Jamel's lap laying my head on his chest feeling his steady heartbeat under my ear and closing my eyes.
"Daddy baby making her mommy tired." Jamel rubbed my back kissing my head.
"Jamel you gon make me fuck you up." I said against his chest, I have to call the doctor's office tomorrow and set up an appointment. He's scaring me badly with this pregnancy shit.
