The day goes on your mind wonders still back to the murder. You loved Megan, and you have grown attached to her. It was very difficult for you to just move on. Megan probably noticed this because later that day. She asked Aunt Gemma if she could bring you along with her to clean the laundry. While you waited for the clothes to dry, Megan brought up the incident casually.
"So we haven't really talked about what happen..."
"..."
"You understand right?"
"I-I don't know how to respond to that." You said looking away from Megan. Megan grabbed your chin gently. She looked deeply into your eyes.
"I will protect you Y/n, from everything and everyone." She let go of your chin letting it fall. You were shaking. You didn't know what to say. Megan wrapped her arms around you pulling you into a hug. You stopped shaking and accepted it. Megan made it easy for you to calm down. You don't know why but maybe it was the hand rubbing your back, and the warm embrace or the fact that it was Megan. Either way you felt better after. Megan smiled and your face turned from blank look, to a bright smile.
