I don't own. This belongs to their respective owners. I make no money of this.
"We are once more viewing an alternate universe," Uatu said.
"No," Pepper weakly protested. Tony moved to comfort her.
"Why am I being arrested," Steve asked.
"For your role in the Superhero Civil War," Uatu answered. "You lead the Anti-Registration Movement. For that, you were arrested."
They all just stared blankly at the screen.
"You previously said that the Civil War was much worse in this universe, but how much worse was it," Scott asked.
Uatu didn't answer for several seconds. "It is best that is left for later."
"Bill is dead in this universe," Hope asked.
"Yes," Uatu answered. "He was killed by Thor's clone, Ragnarok."
Hope and Scott didn't know how to feel about that. He had helped them get the lab back save Hope's mom, but he also sold them out to Ghost. Even if it was with good intentions.
"Was that it," Tony asked, barley betraying his shock at seeing himself get killed. "Is that how I die?"
"Yes," Uatu confirmed.
"I don't blame the kid for wanting revenge," Tony admitted. "I would have done the same in his place. I have done the same in his place."
They were all silently staring at the screen. Pepper and Peter were silently sobbing. Tony was hugging Pepper while Ned and MJ were comforting Peter. Rhodey simply watched. While he had lost people before, never anyone as close as Tony.
"Are they training people to be heroes," Rhodey asked.
"Yes," Uatu replied. "After the Superhero Civil War heroes were in short order. Anyone who wanted to be a hero had to through rigorous training. If they succeed they were deployed to one of the fifty states and were only allowed to help and interfere if deemed necessary."
"I know I am grieving but what the hell," Rhodey said, not liking this version of himself.
"You didn't want to disappoint him," Uatu responded. "He put you in charge of their training."
"I still shouldn't be pushing kids to be trained until they drop dead from exhaustion, heat, and dehydration," Rhodey said, putting emphasis on the fact that they were kids.
"They have," Tony said. "They were trying to make a difference."
"I know," Rhodey replied. "It is other me that doesn't."
"Why are they at the Sanctum Sanctorum," Doctor Strange asked. "And were am I?"
"When the Superhero Civil War began, you exiled yourself to Antarctica," Uatu answered. "They went to the Sanctum Sanctorum to seek refugee status," Uatu answered.
"This is going to go well," Peter sarcastically said.
"Yeah," Tony said. "If his wife and kid were targeted, he will be out for blood."
Steve sighed. "Just because you register a weapon, that doesn't make it not dangerous."
"It makes them easier to track," Tony countered.
"You guys are not having this argument in here," Uatu said. "The whole reason you guys are here is to help you guys fight against Thanos. Not each other."
"For reference, what are his powers," Carol asked.
"He has super strength and invincible skin," Peter answered. "His strength can even rival mine. And yes, he is even more durable than me."
"That is impressive," Bucky admitted, remembering how Peter casually caught his metal arm.
"Do you know all the street level heroes," Steve said.
"No," Peter responded. "Although we tend to keep a tight group, there is simply to many to keep up with."
"Do you have any connections that could help us with the fight with Thanos," Tony said.
"They may," Peter replied. "But I won't say they will just in case they don't."
"That is fine," Tony said. "When the fight comes, as much as we will need the help, fighting against Thanos should not be mandatory."
"Agreed," Steve said. "Any objections?"
Nobody said anything.
"See," Steve said.
"He has a point but-" Tony was cut of by Uatu.
"This argument will not continue," Uatu firmly said.
"No," Tony said, firmly. "Pepper gets ownership of Stark Industries when I die."
"Lets not think about that," Pepper said. "We will all make it through the fight with Thanos."
Peter, Stephen and Wong shared a look. They were the only ones who actually fought against him, they knew how deadly he truly was.
"Wait," Tony protested. "Happy and Pepper are married in this universe?"
"Yes," Uatu awkwardly responded.
"Lets not think about that either," Pepper said.
"Yeah," Tony agreed. "That is for the best."
"Looks like you get to put on the uniform one last time," Tony said.
"That may be so, but I wish that it were under better circumstances," Steve admitted.
"What is up with the Skrulls in this universe," Nick Fury asked.
"You know what those things are," Tony asked.
"Yes," Carol interrupted their conversation. "Nickolas and I helped them when they were under attack by Kree. "
"To answer your question," Uatu interrupted the conversation that was really getting out of hand. "In this universe, they are villains. Not refugees."
"What happened to my armors," Tony asked.
Uatu didn't respond.
"What is he doing," Pepper asked.
"He is preparing to invade Earth," Uatu admitted.
"It is a hell of a sendoff," Tony said.
"You deserve more," Steve replied.
"Honestly, I would like something small," Tony continued their conversation. "No need to disclose the location to the media."
An) Done. Man I glossed over Happy and Pepper being married in the comics. Honestly, I couldn't come up with a way to make that not seem like complete cringe. Really I only ship Pepper and Tony in the MCU, not in the comics. I also chose the gloss over the Iron Man armor because I am not to sure about what happened to them.
