Isha
I got up in the morning and rushed to the boutique to collect my lehenga. It was supposed to be delivered two days back but it's not done yet.
I collected the lehenga and went to the parlor to get ready. After I was done I called Bhai and he came to pick me up.
"How do I look?" I asked nervously.
"You look like a chipkali on the wall."
"Bhai.."
"What? you asked how do you look."
"Am I really looking that bad?"
"No baba you are looking gorgeous."
"Really?"
"Yes my dear behana. Ab chale?"
"Haan."
"Are you going to attend your engagement in this dress?"
"No, I'll change at the venue."
"Okay."
We reached the venue and my eyes started searching for him.
We didn't speak after the day at Ratore mansion.
"Looking for your hubby?" Bhai asked teasing me.
"No" I lied rolling my eyes.
Finally, I looked at him. He is talking with his siblings.
He is looking so dashing. I couldn't take my eyes off him. We walked towards them.
"Hi, bhabi! Nice hairstyle." Abhigya complimented.
"You look pretty too!" I returned the compliment.
"You both are looking handsome too." I complimented Abhishek and Abir.
"Thank you bhabi. How's bhai looking?" Abir asked.
"se... Stunning."(I was about to say sexy. What's wrong with me?)
I saw Abhinav smirking but soon he returned to his expressionless form.
"Are you wearing this for engagement?" Abhinav asked.
"Why doesn't it look good?" Bhai asked teasing his friend.
"No, she looks uncomfortable with those shoes. You can take it off if you don't like it." He answered.
So he is noticing me. That's great.
"I'll go change." I excused myself.
After I got ready and went to the venue it's beautifully just how I wanted. We exchanged rings and sat in the chairs for hours greeting all the guests. After it's done we went home to rest.
Days passed very quickly with all the events and it was our wedding day.
papa is feeding my favorite poha and Maa is adjusting my dress for the 10th time. After we were done we went to the venue.
I suddenly became very conscious with many eyes on me. I clenched Papa's hand tightly and bhai came to me noticing me uneasy. He held my other hand and started walking with me.
I looked at Abhinav. He is looking at me as if he is assuring me that everything is okay. I nodded to him.
He looked so good that I started feeling underdressed despite wearing a 15 kg lehenga and all the ornaments. He is dominating me with just his simple look.
Abhinav
Isha started walking towards me and my heart started racing. She is looking so gorgeous. I can sense her nervousness. I looked at her and assured her that everything would be fine with my eyes. She nodded in response.
She looked like an angel from heaven. All that heavy makeup and the glittering ornaments can't outcast the shine in her eyes and the smile on her lips.
Suddenly everything looked dull except her. She is shining the brightest.
After she came and sat on the mandap grandma made her wear another haram saying it's our family's custom.
I don't know about tradition but I'm very sure that Isha is not going to wake up tomorrow morning. She is hardly 50 kg and the items she is carrying are more than half of her weight.
We performed all the rituals as instructed by Pandit Ji. When Pandit Ji asked me to put sindoor in her maang(hair partition) she closed her eyes as if she wanted this moment to last forever.
Later I tied the nuptial chain around her neck. After all the rituals are done it's time for us to leave for Ratore haveli.
Suddenly the atmosphere became sad and Isha's mom started crying. Soon her father and Ishaan too started. Looking at them Isha started crying. After some time we sat in our car after grandma assured Isha that she would come back to her parents the next day.
Isha kept sobbing all the way to Haveli. Finally, she stopped after we reached the haveli. Guards opened the doors for both of us and we came out.
She looked at her new home with a smile on her face and excitement in her eyes.
After we went in we completed another round of rituals and finally everyone left for their rooms.
"Are you coming?" I asked her.
"Ji." She started following me. She is too slow because of her dress.
She is observing everything with awe in her eyes.
After we went to our room I asked her to change into something comfortable and sleep.
She was trying to get out of the dress but with all the jewelry and dress entangled she is unable to do that. After some time I decided to help her.
After removing every piece of jewelry I asked her to change. She ran into the bathroom and came out wearing her nightwear.
We were so tired and slept almost immediately.
The next morning when I woke up she was snuggled to me. My hands are around her.
"Good morning." She wished with a smile.
I didn't know how to react so I just nodded and went to the bathroom to get ready.
Isha
I woke snuggling to him like a kitten. I just wanted to run away but I didn't want to embarrass myself but ended up getting embarrassed at the end by his reply.
I wished him good morning and he just nodded as if he would incur losses if he said a good morning. It's my first day here so I got ready quickly and waited for him to complete his documents so that we could go down.
To be honest I don't remember the way. I was too tired to notice yesterday.
After he was done we both went down. All Rathores are on the lawn.
"Good morning!" I wished everyone and took blessings from elders.
"Isha beta it's your first rasoi. Go prepare something for all. Take these fellows to help."
I nodded and went in with Abir and Abhigya.
