belly woke up to the sun shining on her face, yeah, on her face.
she got up and realized that she was on a hammock, and did she remember falling asleep there?, no.
she groaned and got up, storming in the house and into matts room
"MATTHEW!" belly yells
"dude shut up" matt says, pulling his pillow over his ear
"you carried me out to the hammock didnt you?" she asks, sitting on his bed
"maybe" he mumbles
"oh youre so dead" she laughs, trying to push him off the bed
"get off!" he laughs
"asshole! fucking asshole!" she says, lying down on the bed normally
"you fell asleep on the couch! it was the perfect opportunity" he turns to look at her
"yeah well i hate you" she answers "come on, were going to the beach"
"now? at ten in the morning?" he asks
"yes! we leave on thursday which is two days away! we have to have fun" she shakes him "please?"
"fine" he sits up
"okay, be ready" she reprimands, walking out of the room
matt smiles and gets off the bed, opening his bag that was on the floor
belly walks into her room and closes her door, grabbing her swimsuit from her bag.
she puts on her pink, one piece swim suit.
she changes into it and grabs a new towel from underneath the sink.
she walks out of the bathroom and matt wasnt ready yet, so belly opened the fridge and grabbed a pepsi from the case she had bought
"matt are you ready?" she asks
"im here!" he walks put of his room
"theres root beer in the fridge" she says
"dude how did you know that i liked root beer?" he opens the fridge
"because you told me" she answers
"oh, right" he grabs a root beer "lets go"
belly grabs his wrist and drags him outside to the beach
"do you want me to take a picture of you?" he asks, walking to a bush with pink flowers on it "it matches your swimsuit"
"oh my gosh yes!" she exclaims, handing him her phone
"okay, go" he smiles
belly walks to the bush, matt following behind her.
he takes a picture of her grabbing one of the flowers, and another one of her posing with the flower in her hair
"the first one is candid" he gives her the phone "are they good?"
"yeah! thank you" she looks at him
"of course, now lets go" he smiles
they both walk to the lounge chairs and place their things on them, then running to the water.
"matt look! theres a turtle!" belly exclaims, pointing to shore
"aww its so cute! come on" matt says, walking to the shore
"i wanna grab it first" she says, grabbing the turtle gently "matt is it gonna bite me?"
"no, izzy, i dont think it will" he smiles, sitting down with her
"here" she puts it in his hands
they both play with the turtle for a little while before putting it back in the water, letting it swim away.
"hey!" a boy comes up to them
"hi" belly stands up, matt copying her actions
"im ethan, what about you?" ethan asks
"im isabel, hes matt" belly says
"are you new here?" ethan asks "i come here every year and have never seen you"
"yeah well i just come randomly" belly shrugs "sorry but why did you come up to us?"
"sorry, uh, could i get your snap?" he asks
"sorry, im taken" she lies
"oh, is he your boyfriend?" ethan asks, nodding towards matt
"yeah! a year" belly says
"yeah, sorry man" matt puts his arm around belly
"shit, sorry" ethan says "you two seem nice for each other, i didnt mean to like fuck things up"
"dont worry, it happens often" belly says uncomfortably
"okay, well, bye" ethan says
"bye!" matt answers
once ethan is out of sight, belly pulls away from matt
"get off!" she chuckles
"it happens often?" matt laughs
"i didnt want to sound so harsh!" belly exclaims
"okay girlfriend" he teases
"tell anyone about this and die" she reprimands
"okay" he nods

belly was brushing her hair on her bed when she started getting a call from her and her friends group chat.
she sighed and answered it, all of her friends and sister being connected
"isabel who are you at the beach with?" charli smiles
"no one?" belly hesitates
"hey bell-" matt walks in her room
belly shoos him with her hand, causing him make a straight face with his teeth and leave the room
"belly has a guy in her room!" macie gasps "i am so snitching on you"
"macie hes just a friend" belly sighs
"yeah sure" chris grins
"whats his name? what does he look like?" lexi asks, smiling
"im not telling you guys" belly says
"is he the guy taking your instagram pictures? oh my god!" alyson exclaims "if hes hot just set me up"
"dude what the hell alyson?" nick asks
"listen. all of you. i know you guys think that im hooking up with some random guy from the street but im not, hes my friend" belly reprimands
"why are you being rude? we literally just asked" gracie rolls her eyes
"im not being rude! but im so fucking sick of you guys wanting to know everything about my personal life" belly defends
"we tell you everything! why the fuck are you even yelling at us? we did nothing wrong, so just shut up and dont be so rude" cylia fights
"yeah, sorry" belly says quietly
"yeah. god why are you like this?" macie says
"just leave belly alone, she has a fucking right to be upset okay?" chris defends belly
"sorry chris" cylia frowns
"no dont say sorry to me! say sorry to belly. you guys are being so fucking unreasonable with her just because she doesnt want to share her personal life with all of you, i know you guys are best friends or whatever, but that doesnt give you the fucking right to treat your other best friend like shit!" chris exclaims
"sorry belly" they all say
"its fine. im gonna go" belly hangs up
"dude im so sorry" matt walks back in the room "i didnt know you were on call with them and i have my phone on do not disturb so i didnt get the call an-"
"matt, its fine, dont worry about it" belly smiles softly "they said sorry"
"only cause chris told them too" he sits down on the bed
"no, matt, you dont understand. they said sorry. theyve never said that to me before" her gaze softens
"why are you still friends with them?" matt asks
"well, other than charlotte, all of them have been my best friends since pre kindergarten, we met charlotte in middle school and somehow they all like her more than me, and if i drop them, i wont have any friends left" belly looks down
"thats not true, im your friend, and my brothers are your friends, and you have your sister" he smiles
"my sister and i dont even talk to each other, she yells at me for things that arent even my fault, and your brothers and i barely talk and, well you" she starts "yeah youre my friend"
"but?" he asks
"no buts, youre my friend" she shrugs
"you dont seem to mean that" he frowns
"matt i swear, i mean it, im not my friends okay? im not fake" she looks at him
"okay" he says "dude we almost got caught"
"yeah i know wise ass"
