It was a normal sunday, you were on your phone doing, pretty much nothing!
It was frustrating to not do anything productive, but you were lazy as hell.
You decided to get up, and do something with your day.
You open your bedroom door, and walk your way to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
While you were about to reach the kitchen, you stumbled over something.
You accepted your fate, and waited for your face to fall flat on the floor. However, that did not happen. You kept falling, falling until you hit a moist yellow carpet.
I don't recall having carpets in my home?
You get up, trying to the recover from the fall, only to see that;
You ended up in the backrooms.
Oh no... no no no no NO NO NO NO-
The weight of the situation was kicking in.
You're stuck here forever now.
You're never going back, ever.
Might as well call this place your new home!
After crying for what felt like 5 months, you picked yourself up, and started looking around, exploring the area.
You walked, and walked, and walked, through the endless hallways and rooms, in hopes that something, or someone would take you home.
Until,
You heard the voice of a person.
Now, rushing to the voice was a foolish decision considering all the entities roaming around the place, but after being stuck here for ages, you didn't really care. The voice of another person was what you needed the most.
As you rushed over to the source of the noise, you could slowly comprehend the words this 'person' was saying.
"DIE!"
"YOU DARE TO GAZE UPON ME?"
"BOW YOUR HEAD!"
"BEHOLD!!"
"THE WIND RISES!"
"WRETCHED VERMIN!!"
Is that.. Scaramouche???????? FROM GENSHIN IMPACT???????????????????????????????
You lay your eyes on the short, beautiful male infront of you, bewildered.
He was beating the crap out of an entity.
I almost feel bad for it-
Just when he was done, he shot his eyes at you. His gaze was terrifying.
You were just about to speak, until he started levitating in the air.
"SQUALL AND FURY!!"
Before you even realised it, he started chasing you down. He must've assumed you were an entity.
You started running for your life, unfortunately, your attempts were futile.
He caught up to you, and tackled you down in no time.
He sat on top of you, ready to obliterate you.
"HEY WAIT PLEASE DON'T HURT ME I'M NOT A MONSTER-"
"DIE."
"HEY HEY NO PLEASE I SWEAR I'M JUST AS LOST AS YOU--"
You then realised, you can't find other people in level 0.
So then, what is he?
He's an entity as well.
You felt stupid for actually thinking you'd find company here.
You were waiting for your death, eyes closed.
Any moment now.
You braced yourself for the harsh blow, but uou never felt anything hit your face.
You look at the boy on top of you, seeing that he no longer intended on killing you. He was still glaring at you, however.
"Sooo, you're not gonna kill me?"
"Not yet."
"Yet?"
"You look human. I suppose there is no point in harming you, until you harm me first."
"Wow, how kind of you!"
"Now tell me, who are you, and where are we?"
"Uhhh my name's (Y/n), and I don't know much about where we are? All I know is that this place is called 'The Backrooms', and we're probably gonna be stuck here forever."
"Forever? You kidding me?"
"No, I'm not kidding. I got trapped here not too long ago."
"You're kidding."
"I'm not, it's near impossible to leave apparently."
"How do you know this?"
"Well back in my world, the whole concept of these backrooms are fictional, it was just something 'people made up', turns out I was wrong."
"Well how do we get out of here?"
"I have no idea, this maze is near infinite, chances of finding an exit are so low, it's probably impossible."
"I'm finding the exit. You're coming with me."
"Right, get off me first."
He gets off you, and stands up, dusting himself.
"Ah, one more thing, I think time does not apply to this space."
"Thanks for the information, I guess?"
You get up, and dust yourself as well.
Turns out he isn't so bad.
Now you won't be alone here :D
Upon regaining your balance, he starts walking, and you quickly followed.
After walking for (probably) five minutes, you ask him;
"Soooo, what's your name? You never told me."
You already knew his name, he was your favourite character, from your favourite game! YOU were the one who gave him his name!
But you pretended to not know a thing about him, and asked anyway, since you wanted to start a conversation.
"(W/n)."
Ah, he's not much of a talker.
"This does NOT make us friends."
What a hater, sheesh.
Oh, right, you're just a tool for him.
"Well, what do I have to do to make us friends?"
"Nothing. We will never be friends. I am only using you as a tool."
"Why?"
"Don't ask."
"Alright, but can I atleast ask you a few questions? I'm curious."
"I've got nothing. Ask me a question and i'll answer, if it's worth answering."
"What world are you from? You have quite the fancy attire, it's nothing like what I've seen before."
Again, you already knew where he was from, but you wanted to strike up a conversation.
"I'm from Teyvat."
"Interesting, never heard of it! Tell me more."
"Like what?"
You point over to his vision, which was hanging on his outfit.
"What's that? It looks like it gives you power. Things like that don't exist in my world."
"Oh this? It's called a vision. It allows me to manipulate the element of anemo."
"The element of anemo? I'm assuming that has something to do with the wind? That's really cool!"
"Right.. Now YOU tell me about your world."
"Hmm, where should I start? Well I can tell you that we don't have powers. Certainly no visions. Your world sounds so much cooler than mine!"
"It's not, believe me."
Ah, right. He hates Teyvat. He's been through alot.
"I see. Well then, you and me are gonna be stuck here for a loong while."
"I can see that."
"So why don't we be friends? I think you're pretty cool!"
"...Fine, I guess. Only because we're be stuck here."
And like that, you and him started roaming around the backrooms, aimlessly. Who knows how much time has passed?
It seems like he enjoys having conversations with you.
Soon enough, you and him stumbled across a door!
(W/n) instinctively pulls you beind him, and slowly opens the door.
What you saw through that door was, Mawtiyima forest, to your surprise.
You looked over to the violet haired boy.
He was shocked. You couldn't tell if he was happy or sad.
"Hey, what place is that?"
"Thats.. Teyvat. Mawtiyima forest."
"Wait what- really?"
"Yeah, this is it."
"So... you're going?"
"Duh. I've had enough of this place."
"Oh.."
He's leaving.
So now you're gonna have to find your home, on your own.
Your puppet friend looked over to you.
"Hey."
"Hm-?"
He wrapped his arms around you, tightly, snuggling his face in the arch of your neck, taking you by surprise.
"I'll... miss you, I guess."
"Yeah.. i'll miss you too."
"I hope we cross paths again."
"Me too. Don't forget me."
"I won't"
"So... this is goodbye?"
"Yeah. I guess."
He lets go of you, and walks toward the door.
You didn't want him to go. But that would be selfish of you, so you didn't hold him back.
You saw him walk through the door.
Something hurt you on the inside.
And without realising it, you walked through the door.
"WAIT-"
He turned around to look at the source of the noise.
It was you, running after him.
"WAIT- I want to travel Teyvat with you!"
"But what about your world?"
"The life I lived in my world wasn't very fulfilling. Let me see what this world has!"
"..."
"Alright. Let's wander through this world together, you and me."
He extends his hand, signaling you to hold it, and so you do, and off you went, travelling Teyvat, with him.
