They both laughed and settled for breakfast.
Siya- "Mom Dad i wanted to rejoin hospital, i already asked from him"
Mahesh- "Sure why not beta"
Rakhi- "Siya beta, you don't need to ask him everything, just tell him you wanna do this, you wanna do that and you can compalin to me if he denies anything"
Mahesh- "Stop teaching her wrong things Rakhi, she's good girl, stop spoiling her"
Rakhi- "of course I'll spoil her after all she's my daughter, why will I not and what is wrong in that, he is her husband she can say anything to him"
Mahesh - "ofcourse madam ofcourse, i forgot with whom I'm talking, i loose you win , know let me eat "
Siya laughed looking at their in laws having cute fight, she wished she can also have this type of relation with Karan.
Rakhi- "bye the way when are you thinking to rejoin beta?"
Siya- "I'll go tomorrow Mom "
Rakhi- "okay fine, go and arrange your things for tomorrow, I'll look after the lunch and dinner "
Siya nodded and went to her room.
8:30pm
Karan came back home.
Rakhi- "Don't you think you're late -"
Karan- "no today mom, please" saying this he went upstairs to his room.
Karan looked all tired and stressed so Rakhi decided not to speak anything further.
Karan- "and please send me a glass of water"
Rakhi signaled Siya to go behind him at which Siya nodded and went to kitchen first.
10 mins later.
Siya entered the room with tray in her hands.
Karan was sitting on bed massaging his temples.
she handed him the glass of water, which he took and gulped in one shot.
Siya- "Have this tea it will reduce the stress"
Karan looked at her and then took the cup.
He motioned her to take a seat, so she silently sat beside him, keeping some distance.
Siya looked at him and said
Siya- "can i ask something?"
Karan nodded at her while sipping the Tea.
Siya- "what's stressing you so much?"
Karan looked at her which immediately stopped her and she started looking downwards again fidgeting her fingers which Karan noticed and sighed. Siya further spoke in an apologetic tone
Siya- "i'm sorry i shouldn't have ask-"
Karan- *interrupting* "it's about the case, that girl Neha, that bumped into you in the mall, the acid attack survivor , she hanged herself"
Siya- "hnmm, Arjun told me this"
Karan- "She wanted us to file case in court, we even have enough proofs again the culprit but-"
Siya- "but?"
Karan- " no one wants to support us, no advocate is ready to take this case, we've done all the research , contacted every other advocate and lawyer in past few days but the result is still zero"
They both looked at eachother conveying their inner thoughts when the alarm beeped once again.
Siya looked at her phone and off the alarm.
Siya- "Come down for dinner"
She said and stood up to go when she heard his voice.
Karan- "Siya!"
She halted her steps and looked back at him.
Karan- "Thank you for the tea and also for listening to me patiently"
Siya nodded and smiled lightly at him and then went out.
Soon everyone got settled at the dinning table and had dinner.
Rakhi silently asked Siya if Karan is fine or not at which Siya nodded positively.
Rakhi- "I miss Arjun"
Karan- "if you miss him this much, then why don't you ask him to come home"
Rakhi- "then why don't you reduce his work load"
Karan- "Mom i don't give him too much work."
Rakhi- "Ohh my poor son Arjun"
Karan- "Mom stop already , you know what wait, let me show you where must be him"
with that he dialed Arjun's number.
on the call
Arjun- "What?" *frustrated*
Karan- "What are you doing?"
Arjun- "i am watching Tom & Jerry any problem?" *annoyed*
Karan- "see mom i told-"
Arjun- *interrupting* "Are crazy or what? here i am fvcking trying to do all the work so that you can spend some quality time with your wife-"
*call cut*
Karan- "okay i loose your dear son is working, now let me eat please."
Rakhi- "Mahesh let's find a bride for Arjun too, at least my son will eat on time"
Karan- "actually you know what mom, go ahead, its such an amazing plan, enough of his enjoyment now"
and as these words escaped his mouth he got a good smack on his head.
Karan- "Mom yaar"
Rakhi- "what ? want more?"
Karan- "NO"
And the dinner ended with a peaceful atmosphere.
In Karan and Siya's room
Karan was searching for something in the drawers when Siya entered the room.
Karan- "Have you seen the painkillers, they were here itself, i can't find them."
Siya- "ohh i threw them."
Karan- "WHAT? WHY? and WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHTS TO TOUCH MY THINGS?"
Karan shouted at the top his voice making Siya flinch at her place.
Siya- "they...they..we-"
Karan- "THEY WHAT?"
He again shouted.
Siya- "they were expired." Siya said slowly.
It eventually calmed Karan down. He looked at Siya who was looking down almost like she'll cry if he said one more words louder. Karan realized what he just did, he rubbed his temples really hard and then ran his hand on his hair frustrated. then slowly spoke
Karan- "Siya!"
she was still looking at the ground.
Karan- "Siya listen i am sorry, look up please"
still she didn't move. Karan came little closer.
Karan- "Siya please"
Siya slowly looked up and her eyes were having tears.
Karan- "Siya please don't cry please" Karan panicked. "okay i am going to buy medicines , do you want something for yourself? you want chocolates?" Karan tried to calm her down.
Siya- "is it hurting that bad?"
Siya asked making Karan confuse.
Karan- "hunn???"
Siya- "is your head hurting that bad?"
Karan- "oh my head, oh yes it is"
Siya- " lie down on the bed, i will apply some balm on your forhead"
Karan- "oh no no it's fine, i will just buy some medicines.|"
Siya- "too much pain killers are not good for health"
Karan again looked at her confused.
Siya- "Trust my words, i am a doctor"
Karan- "oh right! you're a doctor, basically and logically our family doctor?"
Siya just nodded at his random statment.
Siya- "go lie down, i will bring the meds."
Karan lied on the bed.
Siya came with balm and some candies and handed the chocolate to Karan. Karan looked at her with confusion.
Siya- "sugar will reduce your pain, have it while i'll apply balm"
Karan was still looking at her confused.
Siya- "i don't know if it has any logic or not but just have it."
Karan took the chocolate while Siya massaged his forehead with balm.
But Karan, He was in different thoughts.
Karan P.O.V
"Why does it sounds so similar? how can Siya say something like this , she don't know her, how she knows her words"
