I stand next to esma and Anakin as we sit in a umbaran trench
Y/n: this place is hell
Esma: they are called the shadow people for a reason
I nod knowing what she means as we see watch Rex, grizzly, tiger, viper and sparrow walking towards us
Viper: I thought no padwans were coming to this battle field
Grizzly walks towards me and I try to back up but he quickly grabs my arm and wraps his arm around my neck so that he could noggie much to my dismay
Tiger: drop it
He lets go of me allowing me to fix up my hair as sparrow walks towards the Jedi giving a detailed report about what's the current state of the battle, I feel the air grow cold like all warmth disappeared from everything around us
Y/n: I think we have company
I say this as I ignite both my lightsabers just for blaster bolts to fly towards me from behind the trench but I quickly deflect the bolts into the air before I run towards the bolts where I meet the umbaren shadow people face to face. They scream stuff I don't understand before focusing all fire towards me but I easily deflect the bolts into their chests leaving 5 dead shadow people so surrounding me
Anakin: everyone move out now
I look around to see everyone running away so I begrudgingly join them as I don't want to be caught in the cross fire of whatever they are planning. As we run away I deflect 3 blaster bolts back at some of the umbrans hitting them in the head and chests before I extinguish my lightsabers so I can roll behind a hill so I can take cover next to tiger, Anakin and esma
Esma: if the bombers miss what's the plan
Rex: they won't
The bombers fly over head and just as he said the hit what I assume to be the target as the surviving umbarans retreat but I quickly take out my blaster to stop that
Y/n: let's get back to the trench
They nod but I can tell my master has something on her mind like she's uneasy or uncomfortable
Y/n: you ok master
She looks at me and smiles weakly
Esma: it's fine y/n don't worry
I nod before I jog towards Anakin who's talking with tiger and Rex about the plan for the battle which is interrupted by a transport ship landing in front of us
Anakin: master krell, my thanks for the air support
Krell: indeed general Skywalker the locals have been more resourceful then anticipated
Esma: but that isn't the reason for your arrival is it
Krell: no, the council has requested you two to go back to coruscant effective immediately
Anakin: what!
Esma: why?
I look up to see esma has more of a stern look on her face then usual
Krell: general Skywalker the chancellor has requested your precedes immediately and for you master esma the council wished to speak with you about the sith your padawan took down she started talking
I keep a straight face but on the inside my heart starts racing from the idea of her talking as she could tell the council about my training I had with her
Y/n: better go then might be about the Sith Lord we are after
Krell: afraid that's not for you to know young padawan
I nod my head with fear and anger rising inside of me
Esma: I can't leave my men hear not my padawan
Krell: don't worry about that I'll take over as commander in both of your absences
Esma: I still don't want to leave my padawan without my guidance
Krell: I'll make sure he'll acquire effective leadership skills in your absence
I nod my head as I look up the her signalling her to go which she does with a sigh boarding the transport ship with Anakin who seems less then pleased to be exiting the battle field
Rex: your reputation precedes you, General.

Krell: I find it very interesting, Captain, that you are able to recognise the value of honor, for a clone. Stand at attention when I address you
Rex stands at attention and so does tiger making my blood boil
Krell: your flattery is duly noted, but it will not be rewarded. There's a reason my command is so effective, and it's because I do things by the book,
and that includes protocol. Have all platoons ready to move out immediately. That is all
He walks off leaving tiger and Rex to rally the troops as I stand staring at krell fuming
Krell: what is it?
Y/n: that's no way to talk to the men fighting with you
Krell looks down at me and pokes my chest with one of his hands
Krell: these aren't men they are clones they are lesser then we are
Y/n: they are the same as us are you dumb
I push past him and walk towards tiger who's talking with grizzly
Y/n: I don't like the new commander
They look at me surprised by my sudden appearance and by what I just said
Grizzly: why's that
Y/n: he thinks you guys are lesser then him because you're clones
The look at me shocked before sighing with tiger putting a hand on my shoulder
Tiger: many feel that way there are few people that respect clones
Y/n: that's bantha shit you all deserve as much respect as we do
Tiger goes to respond but he's cut off by Rex shouting for the 501st to move out
Tiger: we will have to continue this later. That includes you too 500th so don't slack and move it!
He shouts this causing the whole battalion to move out with me walking with them to the distain of krel. we start following krell as he walks for hours causing the men to grow tired and sluggish which is something that krell is ignoring shouting at the men to quicken the pace
Y/n: I should ask him for a break soon
Rex: he's just trying to keep us on schedule
I look at him confused but before I can rebuttal I see two banshees flying directly towards us
Y/n: heads up!
I take out my blaster nailing one between the eyes but as I try to shoot the other it mocks over fives and picks up nova so I use the force to hold the banshee in place so the men can get a clean shoot on the banshee killing it and dropping nova
Nova: thanks commander
Y/n: no problem
I use the force to throw the now dead banshee away so we can continue the march towards the capital. 2 hours after the attack I can sense the tiredness of the men as we have now been marching for 5 hours
Sparrow: sir the men are getting tired we need to rest
Tiger, Rex and I nod as we walk up to krell who has been quite this whole time not saying anything after during or before the attack we had from the banshees
Rex: general krell the ridge up there would make a good place for the men to take rest
Krell: the men don't need rest, they need resolve to complete the task at hand
I look at him dumbfounded by his blindness to the men's needs
Y/n: dude the men are tired and we are ahead of schedule let them rest
He stops and looks at me with almost murderous intent in his eyes
Krell: hold your tongue I'm not your dude nor do the men need rest, we are not the only platoon on this planet if we fail our mission they will to. THIS WHOLE OPERATION RELYS ON US MAKING IT TO THE CAPITAL ON TIME IS THAT CLEAR!!!?
Y/n: I understand that but we won't be able to take the capital if the men are tired
I turn around to face the men who are all staring at us
Y/n: everyone we are going to make camp on top of that ridge continue our March to the capital in 2 hours
I go to walk up the ridge but I feel ping krell grab my shoulder and turn me around to face me making me instantly scared as I'm reminded of what happened back in the underworld of coruscant
Krell: ARE YOU A FOOL OR JUST DUMB YOU DO NOT GO AGAINST WHAT I SAY!!! ALL LF YOU WE WILL CONTINUE ARE MARCH TO THE CAPITAL IS THAT CLEAR!!!
I pry his grasp of my shoulder off and back away shaking
Y/n: GET OFF!!!
I shout at him as I put as much distance away from me and him as I can
Krell: if you do anything like that again I'll give you a worse punishment
He turns around and continues walking as I hold onto my blaster for comfort
Grizzly: easy there y/n maybe you need some rest it has only been 3 standard rotations since your fight with that sith he puts his hand on my shoulder calming me down a little
Y/n: n-no, no! I-I'm fine
I say as I put my lightsaber back on my belt and continue the walk to the capital which we get to a rotation before schedule so I take a seat against a tree and promptly fall asleep
Drear: you can't save them without me
I'm awoken in a black void filled with mist
Crow: why didn't you save me?
I look to my right to see crow stumbling out of the mist before falling to the floor
Y/n: no crow! I'm sorry!
I kneel down next to crow and try to flip him over so he's face up but when I do I only flip up his severed middle part
Crow: YOU DID THIS!!!
He grabs onto me but i manage to crawl away as he screams I did this making tears stream down my face
Crow: YOU ARE WEAK!!!
He starts crawling towards me as he screams that I'm weak and I caused his death until he reaches me where he pulls himself onto my chest so we are face to face
Crow: YOU KILLED ME!!!
I close my eyes only to reopen to see patch shaking me awake
Patch: kid, kid!
I start freaking out and use a force push to push him off of me which luckily he's caught by grizzly
Grizzly: jeez that's a bad dream
Y/n: I'm so s-
I feel a wave of nausea wash over me and luckily I lean to my left just in time to throw my guts up
Tiger: someone get a canteen
I lean over as more throw up leaves my body and a feel a firm hand rest on my back
Grizzly: it's alright let it out
Y/n: I think I'm done
I lean back on the tree I was on as sparrow reaches over handing me his canteen
Sparrow: take this
I nod as I take the canteen from his hand and waterfall it into my mouth
Sparrow: what happened
Patch: nightmare it seems
I look up to see almost the entire 500th plus some of the 501st looking over me concerned making me chuckle
Y/n: I feel like you guys are watching a rancor at a zoo
This makes some of the guys chuckle before pink puts a hand on my forehead
Pink: he's burning up, bad!
Tiger: kid might need a silver bullet
this makes the men laugh but I instantly shoot up off the ground not wanting a thermometer up my ass
POV tiger
Y/n: nope I'm a-
Before he can finish the sentence he completely passes out almost falling to the ground if I wasn't there to catch him
Tiger: damn it kids been worked to the bone, griz help me put him on a stretcher
He nods as he takes the kid and puts left arm around his shoulders as I do the same with patch and pink setting up the stretcher which we quickly lie him onto
Y/n: it's... hot
Patch: yep it would be with the robes
Patch puts a ice pack onto his head while pink removes his black robe leaving him in the Jedi combat armour he wears
Krell: what's happening here!
We all look back to see krell standing behind everyone who's crowded behind us
Rex: sir commander y/n passed out
Krell: wake him up we need to go
Tiger: sir he's in no shape to walk we need to call a medical evac
Krell: with the battle going on above us that'll be impossible he needs to walk
I look down at y/n before I look back at commander krell
Tiger: no he can't move without assistance
Krell: then assist him clone
He goes to walk away but y/n just faint enough for all of us to hear says two simple words
Y/n: fuck off
Krell freezes in place looks at y/n then walks away
Tiger: you got some big balls kid. Now who's gonna help me carry the stretcher
Grizzly: I think you already know the answer to that
