I exclaim, my voice echoing all the way to the center of the mall, passerby's glancing in our direction with awe once again, along with my colleague who is perfectly blended into the scene, seated on a bench in front of the malls fountain

I glance up to see the boy with raven hair frozen in place
the hand which I had previously grabbed is shaking violently and his eyes are spread and dilated as if he was struck with something
I look back over to the group who he came with and they're stuck in the same position, statues, not moving an inch. Im not even sure if they're breathing at this point
I try to speak up

I hear a voice break through, commanding as if it were thunder in a quiet storm
The girl with pink and green braids stares dead into the eyes of the boy, the boba she was previously holding splayed on the floor beside her
her eyes look.. teary, and..

I look behind to the rest of the group and see the same shocked reactions, with two exceptions.
The one with orange hair was biting his nails, anxiety running down his face like mud
The blonde was looking to the side away from the newly sprouted confrontation, a mix of dread and worry on his face
My hands start to sweat
Have I perhaps...

I flinch slightly as I hear Seraphinas voice, cutting through the loud silence engulfing our area
Im confused, so damn confused.. 7.5? a cripple who was used as a punching bag by 90% of the school?
It made no sense, but why would he lie? as a dumb prank for shock value?
I look towards my friends for reassurance
To no avail.
Isen is biting down on his nail tip.. hard enough to tear while trying to look anywhere but at John

He started to show massive interest in john.. looking into him and always talking about him and his cocky attitude.
Until he just.. stopped, he started avoiding him like the damn plague.. and got shivers whenever his name was called up in any situation
Not to mention nowadays he sucks up to him like some kind of trained dog..

"U-uhm..7.5 is incredible..! there's no need to be upset about it.. if anything you should be-.." The vendor tries to comfort, while misunderstanding the situation completely

The tiles squeak as he spins on his heel and bolts for the exit, not looking back
Seraphina stands there shocked, distraught as if her world came shattering into specs of dust
"JOHN!" I hear Remi scream, even getting ready to run after him. before Elaine lunges and grabs her wrist pulling her back
"Remi..!" Elaines voice trembles
"Elaine let go! we have to--!" She tries to speak
"Don't" Seraphina whispers, head falling downwards, her hands trembling while gripping her shirt tail
We stand there in complete silence
