P. FFT: Chapter 7

Arash was sitting in a room of the mansion that had an office with a library, a big desk, 2 sofas on each side and chair behind the desk and other two at the front, Dr. Sheik Amar sat on one of the sofas while Arash was on the other one in front of him with the lie detector already strapped to his fingers and chest.
"You know Mr. Mohammadi, in case you don't know how a therapy session works, you need to talk, you know like a normal conversation and stuff" – said Dr. Sheik
"I know, I just don't know what to say or know how much I can say" – said Arash
"Everything you said here is confidential, I'm just here to make my evaluation, well a practice one, I don't think a judge will take in count this one since your own family brought me here and all, but you all will know the result of one that could be made by a psychotherapist of their choice" – explained Dr. Sheik
"Wouldn't be better if I don't say anything? I mean that wouldn't give them anything bad to put on the evaluation" – said Arash
"That would just make everything worst" – said Dr. Sheik – "if you don't give them anything, then they will make their own truth instead of listening to your own" – he explained – "I don't think you want them to keep telling your story, right?" – he asked
"No, I don't" – said Arash with a sigh
"So, let's start with the beginning, why don't you tell me a little bit about you?" – Asked Dr. Sheik
"What do you want to know? It's not like my life is not all over the media, you can read it there: gay royal, former King during The Snap, now Prince again, parents died after a plane crash which means that I turned into the instant successor to the throne even I'm not fitting because I was just 13 years old, my uncle and aunt been taking care of me and my siblings ever since and I used to have superpowers...oh and apparently I'm a devil or a monster" – explained Arash – "anything else?" – He asked
"Everything you said just describes your past traumas and things declared by the press, none of that describes or defines you" – said Dr. Sheik – "I want to know your history through you, not through someone else's words" – he added
"Wow, you are good" – complimented Arash – "where were you during The Snap?" – he asked
"Trying to hold the pieces together of a support group and my wife, after one of our daughters was snapped at that time" – said Dr. Sheik
"Oh...sorry about that" – said Arash
"It's okay, she is back thanks to you" – said Dr. Sheik – "also for what I heard you always rejected therapists during that time because you are not very fond with us" – he explained
"The first and only psychotherapist that I ever attend to was the one that tried to work me through my parents' death" – said Arash – "she sucked, she was so condescending and wanted me to like be grateful for the throne instead of complain about it and cry about my parents who were recently death, like...what? Fuck her" – he complained
"Indeed" – said Dr. Sheik confusing the boy – "I mean, not to go against a colleague that attend you, but that was wrong of her to tell you to just suck it up and enjoy being royal when you were mourning" – he explained
"It was very wrong, my mom and dad...I just...I miss them every day, I though that on the long run if I trained long enough one day, I could use my powers to travel back in time and see them or change what happened to them but...that proven to be wrong, the most I could do was travel a couple of minutes and things like that...except for The Dahaka thing...I think he could do much more than me" – explained Arash
"The Dahaka thing?" – Asked Dr. Sheik
"It was this evil spirit that used to live in my ring, apparently it possessed my uncle before who used to be the King but then some stuff happened and he was locked by the sorcerer supreme inside the ring and then passed to my dad instead who later passed on to me" – explained Arash – "it was supposed to be in there forever and just increase the rate of the powers of the ring which also added the whole time control because that's supposed to be his not ours, but ended up corrupting me after I used the Infinity Gauntlet" – he added
"Corrupting you as in turning you bad?" – Asked Dr. Sheik
"No, I mean...I wasn't bad, but this woman, her husband and my great uncle did this thing to bring him back using me as a vessel to bring The Dahaka out of my ring, he wanted to take over and do a lot of bad things, thankfully the guys and Strange could stop him and now...I don't have powers, I have nothing" – said Arash
"I don't think that's true, you have friends, family and a boyfriend for what I heard from your uncle, you are more than just your powers" – said Dr. Sheik
"Am I? The reason for me being here in America to finish the high school experience and to find if there is more to me than just being a prince, a king, a politician, a royal and all that, my whole life was revolved around that but...it doesn't feel like me at all" - explained Arash – "I'm here to find me, I don't know who I am without that life and I don't know what I am without my powers either, at least that used to gave some excitement to my life, but that's gone" – he added
"I spoke to your uncle and for what I heard you could still have them, you just need to tap into your emotions instead of the source you used to tap before" – said Dr. Sheik – "seems like you been concealing your emotions ever since your parents died and after that everything that you been through..." – he trailed
"That is not true, I have cried, for my parents, for my friends, boyfriend and family that were gone during The Snap, for Nat when she died for us to get the soul stone, I don't think that's concealing my feelings doc" – said Arash
"Crying is just a reaction to overwhelming situations, it doesn't always mean that you are in contact with your emotions" – pointed out Dr. Sheik – "let's do an exercise right now" – he said – "close your eyes..." – he instructed and the boy did – "take deep and slow breath" – he continued – "now take another deep breath and this time hold it...1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and now let it out, how do you feel?" – He asked
"Like we are losing time" – said Arash
"Because you are focusing on everything around you but not in you" – declared Dr. Sheik – "I think I realize the problem now, is not that you are concealing your emotions but they are motivated by external factors and you don't find them withing you" – he explained – "let's try again the breathing exercise, close your eyes and repeat it as much as you want and then tell me how do you feel" – he commanded
The boy did as he was told instead of focusing in everything external he tried to look inside of him for something, he was repeating the breathing exercise a couple of times and it took a time for him to feel relaxed enough, meditation before mean for him to focus on his breathing, mind in blank and felt his blood pumping, now it was about searching for something else, let his mind run, let his body relax by the breathing and not pay attention to his blood pump, all this basically meant unlearn all he knew.
But for some reason it was working, this time he felt a weird tingle from deep inside and then all around him, like his awareness spread about everything surrounding him and the response of himself about it, without noticing a golden energy surrounded the pen of the therapist and his notepad which slowly made them float from his hands being controlled by the Prince.
"This feels different, good even, however...I don't think is working" – said Arash
"Ummm...Mr. Mohammadi..." – called Dr. Sheik
"I mean, I still feel the same and-" – started to say Arash
"Arash!" – called louder Dr. Sheik
"What?" – Asked Arash annoyed opening his eyes and noticing the pen and the notepad on the therapist's hands floating – "...is that...me?" – He asked
"My things don't float by themselves and I don't have powers" – pointed out Dr. Sheik
"That's awesome, they are..." – started to say Arash when the pen and the notepad suddenly stopped floating and fall on the floor – "...not back...well...sort off" – he finished with a sigh – "is my diagnosis at least good?" – He asked
"The lie detector test seems to be right and all you tell me just tells me that you are disconnected with your emotions a little bit, which maybe the reason why your powers don't work well, you need to tap into your emotions for it" – explained Dr. Sheik
"But do you think that anything I said or did may be used against me on the psychological evaluation?" – Asked Arash
"The power thing and the evil spirit part, no doubt about it, but the other part, I don't think they could use it" – said Dr. Sheik
"What if I get asked about them?" – Asked Arash
"For the therapist you can tell the truth, even with all you shared the conclusion is that you are a good person, just need to work around all those things you pushed aside but it's not something that makes you a bad and all you said to the therapist shouldn't be shared with anybody else because is unethical" – said Dr. Sheik – "as for the lie detector test, I can't advice you to censor your truth there or lie" – he added
"How about you try to ask me questions and I lie to see if it changes something on the test?" – Asked Arash
"That can get me in trouble...so...don't tell anybody" – said Dr. Sheik with a smirk

A/N: I got to do a bit of my actual job here in this chapter with Dr. Sheik who I kinda like, I mean he was supposed to have a bigger role in "The Immortals" but I couldn't fit him with all the action and stuff happening so I'm glad I fit him at the end as closure for my characters and here to help my boy who realized what he need to do to get his powers back on track.
Sadly guys, that is it for today and for this Special Week Premiere posting, which means next week "Web Warriors" will only be update on the day I have for it which is Wednesday, that is my free day from work and I can update the book relaxed.

So, I also have two other books called "Phillip Jones: Hellstrom" based on a character brother of Jessica Jones but it follows an original storyline and "TECHsupport" based on the show "Cloak & Dagger", both are not part of this universe of the main ones, but they are pretty cool one is my take on doing something less PG and the other is basically a teen superhero drama just like the show that is based from, I will appreciate if you guys support those books so...yeah just please give them some love, k' bye 🤗
