Alex hadn't wanted to run away with Y/N but he had. He had quoted Charles on something about a wolf and its strength in a pack rather than on its own, Y/N had simply told him they weren't animals. And when the hellfire club came knocking Alex had been the one to resist and decline their help. Now six months after they had parted ways Alex knelt in front of Erik lensherr or Magneto who held Y/N bound with steel and a knife pressed against their throat. The battle that had previously ensued was thick with blood and fire, Charles had tried his best to convert their former friend but Erik was as stubborn as always. Now it was only Erik and Alex and Y/n.
"Is she worth betrayal? To keep her alive would be worth leaving Charles, worth leaving Scott" Erik was floating patiently above the field. Alex grunted and the blade pressed further against Y/N's flesh.
"Yes, Scott is a born leader, she needs this family more than I do" the prisoner's head hung low as the words escaped him for they knew their fate. When they lifted their head though two words left Y/N's mouth as a raw, screaming plea, "Wreak Havok". The blade thrust into Y/N's throat and blood poured heavily as their body dropped. Alex caught them against his chest and released a choked sob. Alex stood looking through his brow bone before releasing a torrent of energy that blasted Magneto into the muddy earth beneath him, as Alex began to approach he blasted metal that flew him from every angle. Alex however didn't have eyes in the back of his head and didn't see the piece of shrapnel that flew straight into his chest. He dropped soundlessly and Erik said a soft apology for Scott and Charles before rising into the clouds.
