The villain himself was sitting down on a luxurious leather sofa staring at the blueprints for the Royal Wolves' Castle. He was smirking to himself as he memorised each passage and walkway. Picking up different pens and highlighters, he marked where the guards were stationed and where he needed to go. The light yellow traced from the point of entrance to the designated room. An evil smile slipped onto his face. Buchannan's plan was coming together so easily. He could taste his vengeance.

"Master?" One of his minions asked as they entered with a wave of his hand. They'd been standing there patiently for over five hours but he'd been smiling over the stained piece of map and paid no attention to them.

The Master of the Vampires raised his piercing stare to the three minions waiting in front of him. He leaned back on the sofa and stared at his peasants with a sense of power wafting off him. He flashed his fangs in greeting and waved for them to talk. The plump minion was among the three standing before him, still attempting not to look nervous.

"Master, we have been patient and we always will be as we are your minions. We are prepared to follow you wherever you go, but where will you go? Are we worthy to know the next step of your plan so we many prepare?" The plump vampire spoke, like his two companions next to him, he looked straight ahead and not in the eye of his master.

Buchannan raised an eyebrow at the formal declaration before he stood. Walking like a predator in his home territory, he walked over to the edge of the room and opened a steel case. The three minions were surprised at his actions; that he actually listened to his minions for once. However when the Master of the Vampires drew out a dagger from the case, the thoughts of kindness that were once in their minds quickly flew out the window and was replaced with fear. The green eyes of the monster gleamed as the dagger shone in the moonlight.

"Do you know what this is?" Buchannan asked, lifting the dagger to eye-level. The dagger itself was unlike anything they had seen. It had a silver hilt with intricate designs around the grip. The hilt around the blade spread out in a circle that glinted in the light. The blade itself was not of steel or silver but appeared to be of a glowing opaque stone that was carved to a point. The slight curve to it added a sense of sleekness to the deadly weapon. While it looked pretty, it was certainly capable of cutting out someone's heart.

The minions didn't know about the blade itself so they stayed silent. Buchannan looked between the three of his minions before delicately holding the blade in his two hands. He stared down at the magnificent weapon.

"This is known as the Ray of the Moon." Buchannan told, looking at his peasants through his thick brows. "Very few people know of this dagger and those that do tell no one."

The minions gulped as they saw the Ray sparkling at them as though beckoning to be imbedded into their sides.

"It was made from moonstone and silver in the Mountains of the Moon in Africa; a beacon for the Moon Goddess. A holy place for her Priests and Priestesses." The Vampire Master twirled the dagger in his hands and smiled at it in his hands.

"The dagger also happens to be the only thing that can kill her only followers." He announced and held it up to the moon above them. "The dagger was intrusted to Lord Alastair; the one thing that could kill him became his best friend in battle. When we had Seraphina in our grasps and Lord Alastair built up his trusted army, we cut them down like weeds."

"How did you get past their magic defences?" One minion asked but squeaked when Buchannan glared at him for the interruption.

"The dagger is not affected by them. It can wound them and their abilities cannot heal the cuts. You can cut out their heart and they will die at your feet. Their Moon magic can do nothing to stop the slices from the blade. It's their greatest enemy, besides us." He answered sternly.

"The Ray of the Moon was Lord Alastair's right hand and I used it to slaughter him and his mate and youngest daughter. I cut them in the right places for them to be so weak they couldn't do anything but bleed out. I made Lord Alastair and Lady Maude watch as I slit Celeste's throat and then left them with her body as they too slowly died." Buchannan grinned as he recalled his favourite memories. How he and his daughter led their army and vanquished all wolves' hope. The Lords and Ladies of the Wolves were their greatest warriors. The wisest of them all and blessed by the Goddess herself. Their ancestors were the first werewolves. They were the best of them all and the Master of the Vampires crushed them like cockroaches.

"Now there is only one left. The one who killed my daughter. The one who was originally in my custody to make her an abomination but her pathetic rodent of a brother broke her out. The one who was out of our sight for fourteen years until we found her again in the human's famous zoo." Buchannan hissed at the hatred for the Last Priestess and slammed the dagger onto the table. It pierced the wood with ease and left cracks. A blue white glow webbed from the dagger and into the cracks. The minions stiffened. Their Master was not to be trusted when he was fuelled with anger.

"The last Priestess of the Moon. Lady Seraphina of the Wolves." Their Master spat out her name with such fury as he glared at the blueprints on the table. "Who, after surviving the silver in her blood, being trapped with the rodent humans for over ten years, is now the Queen of the Wolves."

One of the minions raised his head in respect for the young Priestess but quickly brought it down when Buchannan's stare locked with him. In the blink of an eye Buchannan clutched the dagger around its silver hilt and flung it at the minion's head. The Ray of the Moon bounced off the skin between his eyes and the blue glow shot out from the impact on his head and down his body. The veins of the minions flashed blue and his eyes clouded white as it seemed the Moon herself made contact with his skin. The minion slid down the wall behind him in pure shock as his white blank stare plastered him paralytic. Buchannan stilled as he remembered that the dagger couldn't harm anything besides the Priestess of the Moon. Roaring in fury, Buchannan flipped over the map table and stared at his other two minions. The plump one stood beside the one who previously addressed him but both of them were trembling in their shoes.

"LADY SERAPHINA WILL DIE!" The Master of the Vampires shouted at the top of his voice. "I will cut out her heart like she cut out mine! I will end her with her own father's dagger!"

His words rang throughout the castle they resided and the other vampires trembled at his rage. Buchannan was breathing heavily as he pointed at the fat vampire. "You." He called. The plump one was close to needing a new pair of pants at the terror running through his veins.

"Y-Yes Master?" He answered with a shaking voice.

"Start rallying up the forces; prepare them for an upcoming battle. Grab a select few – our quietest – and send them to me immediately. GO!" Buchannan ordered and the minion wasted no time in getting out of the blood-stained office. The master walked over to the sitting minion, who was pinned against the wall in shock. His green eyes were blazing as the metallic sound echoed in his ears as he scraped the deadly dagger off the floor at his feet. The other minion was trembling as those eyes turned to him.

"Get out." Buchannan whispered before turning away from him. The minion nodded and started to pick up his frozen brother. Just as he was making it to the door, the minion turned back to his master.

"Master, I do not mean to question your orders but what of the Reaper? Is she not needed?" The minion asked. Buchannan whirled around on him and the minion had the good sense to quickly sprint out of the room.

The green eyed vampire was fuming. His hand was trembling as he clutched the dagger. Buchannan stared down at the map on the floor and then the dagger in his hand. The Master paid no heed to the scrapes of stone dotted on the blade from where it pierced the ground but looked up at where he attempted to murder another one of his minions. He had already killed off so many for the Reaper for her success. She was almost perfect.

"My little Reaper..." He whispered as Buchannan grinned evilly. His fangs were out and sparkling at the mention of the monster he created.

The Ray of the Moon was the back-up plan. The Master had to act quickly before his window to kill Lady Seraphina closed for good. While he had the chance to attack with his 'Plan B' he was going to take it. Reaper was weak according to his trackers. She needed to heal before he went about retaking her under his reign. The Master's Reaper still had her role to play, and she would play it, but she was merely too unstable at the moment.

If, somehow, the plan didn't work, then Reaper would be back on the chessboard.

You haven't seen the last of me, my Reaper.
