Time was ticking and nothing could ease the heaviness in her heart.
She knew it wasn't right.
Her past experiences taught her it was nothing but anxiety, Clementine knew deep down that it was more than that.
Over the time together the three has become a four. The largeness of the house and all the demands began to feel impossible.
She sat by the ballroom window, keeping an eye on everyone, both inside and out. Her hair was up as she ate away at her pen.
Money was running low.
While she had a steady income from her previous children books nothing could compare to the money she earned when a new one was released.
So by the window she sat, worrying.
A life without Jamie, Wren and Alexander. Who was going to sit up late with her like Wren? No one would make early mornings feel like a blessing rather than a chore quite like Jamie.
Alexander.
She'd never met another human being who she could sit and read with in silence and it feel comfortable, warm. Like home.
Tears brimmed in her eyes and she decided that it was time to visit her gram.
Picking up her notebook and saying her goodbyes to her men she drove down to The Grasshopper.
