Nancy sat crying about something, as if I didn't just see the same thing. I wasn't really paying much attention until Max spoke up. "4 chimes. Vecna's clock always chimes 4 times exactly."
"I heard them too." Nancy whispered
"I'm pretty sure everyone he tries to kill heard them, Nancy. I heard them." I crossed my arms and leaned back.
"He's been telling us his plan this whole time."
"Four kills." Lucas stated "Four gates. End of the world."
"If that's true, he's only one kill away." Dustin said
"He hasn't been trying to torture me, he's been trying to get me to catch on." I realize out loud
I zoned out for a hot minute thinking about it. He wants us to know his plan, he wants not just to ruin my life, but to ruin hawkins. I was snapped out of my head by arguing
"so then why fight fair? You're right. He's like eleven. But that gives us an upper hand. We know elevens strengths. And weaknesses." Dustin pointed out
"Weaknesses?" Erica asked
"When El remote-travles,-" Dustin started
"She goes into this trance like State. I bet Vecna does it too." I finished Dustin's sentence
"I bet that's what he was doing up in that attic." Lucas pointed at me and Dustin
"Exactly. When he attacks his next victim, I'll bet you he's back in that attic, physical body defenseless." Dustin added
"Defenseless? What about the army of bats?" Steve asked with an additude
"True. We'll have to find a way past them. Distract them somehow." Dustin crossed his arms and began thinking
"And, uh, how do we do that, exactly?" Eddie asked
"No idea." Dustin replied
"But once they're gone, he doesn't stand a chance against us. He's vulnerable in that attic and if we don't take advantage of it we're done for." I explained
"That all sounds good in theory but there is no pattern to Vecna's killings. Not one that I can decipher. We don't know when he's going to attack next." Robin argued
Dustin sat thinking as I got the perfect idea. "Then we make it so that we know who he's attacking and when." I said confidently. Everyone looked at me puzzled "We use Max as bait. He wants her so bad, let him think he has her. Of course there will be people there to bring her back if it goes to far. The person near her when vecna gets her will alert the rest of the team through the walkies. Boom, there's our shot."
"That's crazy!" Lucas argued
"I know it's crazy but it's the only way to save everyone!" I argued back
"It would work. I ditch Kate Bush, I draw his focus back to me." Max said plainly as she stood with her arms crossed.
"Max. You can't. He'll kill you." Lucas kept arguing
"Not if we stick to the plan." I said
"I survived before, I'll do it again." Max argued to Lucas. "I just need to keep him busy long enough so that you guys can get into that attic. Then you can chop his head off. Stab him in the heart. Blow him up with some explosive Y/n and Dustin cook up. I honestly really don't care how us put this asshole in his grave. Just...whatever you do..try not to miss." her words sent chills down my spine, I mean I knew she'd agree with me but I didn't think she'd give a whole damn speech. We all just sat in silence.

Eddie slammed down a newspaper on the table "Check this out." we all gathered around. "The war zone. I've been there once. It's huge. They've got everything you need for uhm...well uh..killing things, basically." Eddie explained
"You think fake Rambo has enough guns there? Is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?" Robin asked
"Well, lucky for us it is, so.. This- this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we stay clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and uh, angry hicks.."
"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called War Zone." Erica stated
"Normally, I'd agree but we need weapons. So I think it's worth the risk." Nancy said as she stood up straight
"Me too." Lucas added
"But is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back." Dustin sighed
"Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie asked
"You got some car we don't know about?" Steve asked
"Its not exactly a car, steve."
"I know that look. What are we stealing?" I asked
"Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?" Eddie asked
Max ran to her room and grabbed something, she came back out with her Michael Myers mask from the first Halloween we met her. I laughed as Eddie put it on.

We'd been creeping around for like 19 minutes now finally Eddie started running and we all followed. He opened the window to a RV and jumped in. Steve lifted me up into the window and I climbed through after Eddie got off the couch. Quickly we all piled into the RV. After a few minutes of looking around steve shouted for everyone to hang on to something. Everyone panicked and sat down
"Steve! Drive!" I shouted as I leaned against a counter and held myself up with the fridge. Everyone was shouting for steve to drive.
"Shit they look pissed!" Dustin said as we drove away
"It isn't just every day you lose your house and car in one fell swoop." Robin replied
"You guys are dramatic, this isn't the worst Steve's done with driving." I laughed as everyone basically flew around.
"Hold on! Hold on!" Steve yelled as he ran over some trash cans.
"Ohh! 3 points Steve!" I smiled
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Dustin asked
"Nothing! I just call steve and ask him to take me to ice cream at night a lot. He drives crazy sometimes and it's fun." I explained as I pulled myself up onto the counter and sat there.
"That was fun!?" Lucas asked
"Yeah."
As the driving got a little less crazy everyone calmed down and moved around.
"How many points did you say that was Y/N?" Steve shouted
"3!" I shouted back. I watched as Dustin found a stool and sat it down in front of me, he sat down and leaned his head on my lap.
Dustin sighed before finally speaking "What was in that note Y/n?" it came out like a whisper that only I could here.
I frowned "It was stupid. I was panicked, I thought the world was going to end. It talked about how much better my life was when you came into it. It talked about how Vecna told me he was going to make my life a living hell." I whispered back
"Can I read it?" he asked
"I trashed it because I never finished it. I think I should mention I found out a while back that..him..killing max is a jab at me. He has a goal and for some reason I'm part of it." I took his hat off and started playing with his hair
"Y/n, we won't let him get to you. I won't let him get to you. You're the most important thing to me."
I smiled and kissed his forehead.
"Alright, we're here." Steve said as the RV stopped. We picked out people to go in and people to stay with Eddie.
After sitting in the RV in silence for awhile Eddie finally spoke up "So, you gonna be a Badass or you gonna zone out while we fight?" he was looking at me
"Hopefully a badass. If I zone out then Vecna's got Max." I shrugged, I truly don't know what'll happen.
"What the hell is taking so long?" Dustin whined as he stopped pacing. Suddenly the RV door opened and we all looked at it. Steve walked in quickly with everyone else following
"We gotta go." Steve said
"Your old friends are here!" Erica told Lucas as she sat down
"Go, Steve! 20 points if you run Jason over!" I shouted
"Let's go! Let's go!" Dustin shouted
"I'm going! I'm going! Sit down!" Steve shouted back as he started driving
Dustin looked at me "Really, 20 points to run Jason over?"
"Yeah, I fucking hate that guy." I smiled
"I mean yeah me too but you don't have to run him over."
"Shhh!" I put my hand over his mouth. "I say what I wanna say."

Bang bang ba-bang
"Oh my god! I hate this" I groaned as I put my trash can lid and hammer down. We've been putting nails through trashcan lids to use as a weapon against the bats.
"Good thing we're done. How's it feel?" Dustin asked Eddie
Eddie did some 'cool fighting stuff' as Dustin would call it "Light but durable. Deadly. But reliable."
Dustin chuckled as eddie got an idea.
Eddie put his foot up on a crate "Hear me now." he pointed at me "There will be no more retreating." He put his fist up in the air then pulled it back down and switched to his normal voice "From Eddie the banished."
"Hey, you're really ready for bat-tle." Dustin chuckled and stood up. Eddie turned to look at him but didn't laugh. I smiled and shook my head. "You get it? Bat-tle B-A-T." after a minute dustin sighed "No? I thought I had a good one."
Eddie smiled and sat down his shield, he tackled Dustin. I laughed "get him!"
"You son of a bitch!" Dustin ran at Eddie. After a minute of me laughing and then wrestling it calmed down a little. Eddie grabbed Dustin's neck "Never change." Eddie said "Dustin henderson. Promise me?"
"Wasn't planing on it." Dustin replied
"Good." Eddie nodded "good"
"Good." Dustin laughed
"You either Wheeler, k?" he walked over and patted my shoulder
"Ok." I smiled
I looked at Dustin before Eddie picked me up and started jumping around
"Eddie!" I laughed
"Come on Wheeler, if you're so tough get out of it!" He kept jumping around
"I don't wanna kick you in the nose!"
"Fine!" he threw me over his shoulder
"Easy!" I shifted all my weight to the right side and we fell over. I stood up and grabbed a shield "Come on Dust!" I held another shield out. He took it and we played around. I thought of it as having fun before you can't anymore.
