Max!

-Y/N's pov-

As we pulled up to the graveyard I realized what we were here for. Billy is buried here. Max got out the car slamming the door behind her. Lucas chased after her

I leaned forward in my seat as Steve picked up Dustin's walkie "This things got batteries in it, right?"

"I'm not even answering that question." Dustin sighed. Steve shook his head, he looked a little confused "Yes, it has batteries."

"Yeah, I got it" Steve said as he looked out at Max

I watched as she walked out further into the graveyard, wondering what she was thinking about. I got out the car and stood leaning on the door.

"If she isn't back in 5 I'm going out there." I said as everyone else got out the car and leaned on it. Steve nodded, he would run out there with me

After a few minutes of waiting Steve seemed worried "Alright, it's been long enough." He said before walking up the hill to her

"Steve, just give her some time." Lucas argued

"I have, all right sinclair? I'm calling it. She wants to get a lawyer, she can."

I closed the car door and ran up after him. "Max."

"Time to get out of here, yeah?" Steve asked. She didn't answer, she just sat there completely still

"Max?" I kneeled down next to her "Max!"

Steve continued yelling as I stood up "Dustin! Lucas!" I called out and they ran for us. I kneeled back down bedside Max and shook her by her shoulders

"Dustin, call nancy and Robin! Go!" Steve yelled, Dustin sprung into action running down the hill to get the walkie from the car

"Max! Hey! Can you hear me? Max!"

Shouting collided as we tried to wake her

"Dustin! Hurry!" I shouted looking over to him then quickly back to max. I saw Dustin come running

"Y/N! Get our your walkman!" Dustin threw down a bunch of different tapes "What's her favorite song?"

"Why?" Lucas shouted

"Robin said--"

"Shit, Running up that hill! Kate Bush!" I searched my bag for my walkman

I heard Dustin rummage through the tapes. As I pulled out my walkman and put the headphones on Max's head Dustin put the song in and played it

"Max! Max, we're here!"

"Max!"

"Max, wake up!"

"Come on, max!"

"Max, please!"

We all shouted, then she started floating. I fell backwards into Dustin's shoulder, I watched as she continued floating up

"Max!"

We stood up and continued shouting, hoping she'd wake up. She has to wake up.

Then she fell. We all rushed to her as she hit the ground, Lucas hugged her, I put my hand on her shoulder. Dustin and Steve comforted the best they can

"I'm still here...I'm still here" Max said as she fought to breathe

We sat at the graveyard for a while, waiting for her to calm down.
