We've finally started highschool.
"No, El, he's gonna show it to you eventually. I don't think it's for a girl." I said into the phone as I bit into my apple from breakfast
"But he's acting weird. Jonathan is acting weird also." El explained over the phone
"How so?"
"I think it's because of collage. He's still waiting for his letter. And he smokes smelly plants then acts all funny."
"Uhm- I would just leave that one. Anyway, I gotta get to school. And let me know as soon as you get home if Angela does anything." I said before hanging up, running outside and getting in Nancy's car

"Listen, Mike, I'm not saying my girlfriend is better than yours. It's just that Y/N is like a certified genius." Dustin shouted to Mike
"Dust, stop telling people that. All I did was change your grade." I said as I put my hand over his mouth
"You do realize El saved the world twice, Right?" Mike leaned over to him
Dustin pulled my hand away from his mouth "And yet you still have a C in Spanish." Mike looked at him weird
"I swear on mom's life if you two don't shut up and watch I'm going to punch you." I crossed my arms and watched as the basket ball team ran out. We clapped lazily as we saw Lucas run out
"Good morning, Hawkins High!" Jason yelled into a microphone and everyone cheered. He started some rant about everyone who died in the mall fire. About Billy and Hopper, just to get people excited for a basketball game.
"What the hell?" I mumbled looking over to max
"Wait, tonight?" Mike asked
"How is that possible?" Dustin asked
"They call it a tournament." Max said
"You win one game, you go on until there's one team left." I explained "Meaning we have to talk to Eddie about club tonight." I looked out at Lucas, it almost like he's a new person

"I don't get the big deal. Just talk to Eddie. Get him to move Hellfire to another night." Lucas said as we walked out the gym
"talk to Eddie." I mocked
"Why don't you just talk to your coach and get him to move the game?" Mike asked sarcastically
"I think that's a great idea, Mike." Dustin said before looking at me "How about you Y/N?"
"Yeah, perfect idea." I crossed my arms
"Thank you, Dustin." Mike looked ahead of us
"This is the championship game." Lucas explained
"And this is the end of Eddie's campaign."
"Lucas, we need you." I said
"And the Tigers don't. You've been on the bench all year." Mike added
"That's not the point." Lucas argued
"Then arrive at the point! What is the point?" I asked staring to get upset
"If I get in good with these guys, I'll be in the popular crowd, then you guys will be too." Lucas explained
"We don't want to be! Who told you that's what we wanted, Lucas?" I raised my voice as we stopped in front of his classroom
"So you want to be stuck with the nerds and freaks for three more years?" Lucas asked
