"Xavier, why are you forcing me to come to fencing?" Hecate groaned as she was getting gently tugged by her friend that she may or may not of been starting to like in a more-than-friends kind of way.

As her golden hair whipped in her face slightly due to her constant looking back to the end of the hallways they had come from and to the dreaded hall where the fencing was taking place, Hecate stumbled. She was caught by Xavier, who glanced at her with a slightly lop-sided grin. One a love-sick teenager would send to the person they loved.

"Don't look at me like that." Hecate huffed with a childish pout as she picked herself back up from Xavier's hold and headed towards the room. She now wanted to kick his ass at fencing...and do it with style.

"Look at you like what?" Xavier questioned with a soft chuckle as he followed into the room. There were students in white fencing outfits on with protective masks covering their face as their foils clattered together.

"Like i'm your most prized possession or something." Hecate shrugged as she walked into the room, her own protective mask clutched into her hand as she and Xavier walked side-by-side towards a mat they would share and fence each other on. "We need to be serious."

"Serious." Xavier said with a stern voice, a slight squint of his eyes and sticking out his bottom lip a little. He was being anything but serious.

With a frustrated scowl, Hecate was quick to use swift and smooth wrist movements to quickly make her foil's point just about touch Xavier's throat.

"Serious." She repeated, and Xavier didn't dare nod or gulp. With a relieved sigh that the boy in front of her was complying to her wish for them to be serious for once, she slowly lowered the foil to her side and put the mask over her head. Xavier did the same.

"Ready?" He called, to which she nodded once but firmly. The two got into the correct positions before letting a moment pass by before they striked at one  another. They went back and forth, none of the pair being able to land a hit on the other.

They were just too good together.

For five minutes they tried to score a hit on the other, but as the sounds of more footsteps enterring the room, they couldn't help but stop and look, seeing none other than the dark haired Addams in a black fencing suite.

"Hey, Wednesday." Hecate softly greeted after removing her mask and sending a kind smile to her sister. All she got in response was a dull 'hello' but a kind look in her eyes. Hecate watched as Wednesday walked over their mat and towards the end of the hall, where others were fencing. "Wait-" Hecate glanced over at a bench, thinking she had seen something familiar.

"Coach-" a boy began after he had fallen to the ground. Hecate's attention was pulled back to the front where Bianca un-masked herself, staring down at the boy with pity. Hecate realised it was Rowan and she frowned before going to move forwards to help him, however, Xavier put his hand out and stopped her. "Coach, she tripped me."

"It was a clean strike, Rowan." The coach said with his hands crossed behind his back. Hecate felt sorry for the boy on the floor.

"Maybe of you whined less and practiced more, you wouldn't suck."

"Bianca." Hecate couldn't help but say sternly as she walked behind Xavier and towards Rowan. She helped him to his feet, to which he smiled at her thankfully for. "Seriously, Coach, when am i gonna some get real competition?"

Hecate helped to guide Rowan to the coach, who was holding out a pair of glasses which she realised were for the boy. She glanced over her shoulder at Xavier, who looked at her in disbelief before pointing at his mat, she mouthed the words 'sorry, Xavi' to him before continuing to help Rowan. She figured he must've been embarrassed.

"Anyone else want to challenge me?" Bianca almost sarcastically asked, but Wednesday raised her head with a determined look.

"I do." Wednesday said and with a sigh, Hecate patted Rowan's shoulder.

"You'll be okay, right?" She asked him in a gentle and soothing voice, to which made him frown. As her hand lingered on his shoulder, she couldn't help but get sinking feeling from him. Regret? No, it couldn't be. He seemed like a sweet kid. She huffed softly before shaking her head and sending him a smile.

"Yeah, yeah." He agreed, and Hecate nodded before whispering a goodbye as she jogged back to Xavier, who looked like he'd eaten a warhead sweet and got one that was dipped in extra sourness.

"Oh, you must be the psychopath they let in." Bianca asked before her look turned judgemental as she glanced at Hecate. "Does it run in the family?" Knowing exactly what Bianca was trying to get at, Wednesday already had the urge to plan the girl's death.

Wednesday was a little protective over Hecate considering she was: one, her younger sister (by ten minutes) and two, because she knew the golden haired girl was kind to people and cared and had a soft spot to her unlike the rest of the family. Wednesday didn't want people believing Hecate was something less than angelic...even if she could have some times when it made you question it. However, Wednesday knew that her little twin sister was more so kind than not.

Hence comments like what Bianca made had her blood running with anger.

"You must be the self-appointed Queen Bee." She snapped back, and Bianca raised her brow with a look of pride. "Interesting thing about bees. Pull out their stingers and they drop dead." Bianca couldn't help but let her nose curl in anger at Wednesday Addams.

"Rowan doesn't need you to come to his defense." Bianca said before she glared at Hecate. "Nor does he need you, little princess, to aid him when he falls."

"But, i-"

"Don't worry about her, Catie." Xavier said quietly but softly, leaning towards her slightly so that the girl could hear him. As he was pulling away he couldn't help but stare at the side of her face for a moment, the urge to place a gentle kiss to her cheek overwhelmed him, but she jumped in her skin just before he could do anything. "What's wrong?"

"Wednesday's only ever gone against me or father when fencing. I'm scared." Hecate quietly admitted, and Xavier pursed his lips slightly before readjusting the grip on his mask.

"En garde." The coach said and Wednesday and Bianca slipped their masks down over their faces.

"I can't watch." Hecate said before burying her face into Xavier's arm, hoping that this moment would end quickly.

As the two faught with a little more eagerness than the others have been, Hecate kept peeking at the pair. She winced everytime the foil would come close to Wednesday but then her face muscles would relax as Wednesday got the slight upper hand.

However, the girl gasped slightly as Wednesday ended up practically on the floor with her foil aimed upwards, making Bianca unable to do anything without possibly hurting herself.

"Point to Wednesday." The coach announced and Hecate breathed out a little.

"See?" Xavier asked, nudging her a little. "Nothing to be afraid of." By the time he finished speaking, the two were up on their feet and at it once more...but this time, Bianca won.

"The score is even." The coach said and Hecate began bouncing on her feet.

"C'mon, Nessy." She quietly begged as she subconsciously tugged on Xavier's arm a little.

"You alright, sweetheart?"

"Stop." Hecate whispered, slapping his chest slightly as her concentration was suddenly glued to Bianca and Wednesday. Xavier just smiled widely and glanced at the girl beside him. He couldn't help but think she looked cute in that moment, her blue eyes looking at Bianca and Wednesday with much concentration, her slight plump rosy lips were parted slightly and her hand - although slightly relaxed - practically rested against his chest. When his gaze went back to the two girls fighting like cats, he realised they had taken their masks off.

"That first point was clearly beginner's luck." Bianca said smuggly as she smiled and made her way towards a constantly unimpressed looking Wednesday. "Let's finish this." The two girls passed each other by before walking in circles around each other.

"For the final point, i would like to invoke a military challenge." Wednesday said and Xavier's attention was brought back to Hecate as she quietly gasped, although he thought it were adorable (the little sound her gasp made). "No masks." Wednesday began walking back to her original place on the mat. "No tips." The fencers all 'ooh'ed' and Hecate winced as Wednesday once again stared coldly at Bianca. "Winner draws first blood."

"Xavi, i don't know-"

"She'll be alright." Xavier softly assured the worrying girl next to him. He opened his arm a little, to which she immediately hugged his side in anxiousness at the event that was about to happen. It was like a magnet was constantly pulling them together.

"It's your decision, Bianca." The coach said, not completely against Wednesday's suggestion. But Hecate already knew her decision.

"Let's see if you bleed in black and white." Just as Bianca tossed her mask to the side, Wednesday made the first strike. The two battled for what felt like hours but in reality was only seconds - or perhaps a couple minutes - before the sharp tip of Bianca's foil cut into Wednesday's skin, the red liquid immediately began to slowly ooze from the new wound.

"Wednesday." Hecate gasped and immediately detached herself from Xavier and rushing to her sister. She hadn't seen if the cut was bad or not, just that the foil had made contact with her skin.

"Your face finally got that splash of colour it so desperately needed." As Bianca noticed Hecate was there, her face turned into a sneer. "You wanna go?" With a scowl on her face, Hecate stood straight.

"Fuck it." She mumbled as she turned and grabbed her foil from the ground beside Xavier and walking back and onto the mat. As Wednesday walked away from the room - by command of the coach - everyone still hung around to watch the duel between Bianca and Hecate.

"Is baby Addams mad i hurt her sister?" Bianca teased with a chuckle but as Hecate's head cocked to the side a little, her face void of any emotion, she slowly smiled. This action alone set Bianca on edge, but what made shivers run down her spine was the cold look in the girl's eyes...as though something had taken over the girl's mind.

"Baby Addams isn't here. His prepubescent ass is at home." Hecate sneered and Bianca huffed, rolling her eyes.

"Are you gonna start or what?"

"One-" Hecate was quick to flick her wrist and catch Bianca off guard, but the girl was just a millimeter away from having her neck sliced open had she not taken a step back. "-you never hurt an Addams when another is in the room. Two-" Hecate, with more anger and power, brought her foil down onto Bianca's arm - to which it cut the material of the fencing uniform. "-you never challenge me to a duel after you make my sister bleed. That's just dumb. And three-" with a look of hatred, she made her final swing. Her foil tip landed across Bianca's cheek and gave her a deep cut but not deep enough for stitches. "-don't be a snarky, whiny bitch to me."

"Hecate Addams." The coach hissed as he saw the damage the girl had done to Bianca's uniform and cheek.

"Sorry coach." Hecate said with a fake smile before the smile fell and she stared coldly at her opponent. "I was just playing by the rules."

Hecate rushed to the infirmary as quick as she could, desperate to see how deep the cut was on her sister's forehead. However, just as she went to open the door, Wednesday walked into her.

"Sorry-" Hecate began chuckling as she realised who she had walked into before taking a step back and allowing her sister to leave the room. "How is it?"

"A scratch. Rather disappointing." Wednesday said as the twins began walking away but her head qwuickly snapped back as though she were looking at something.

"It's a water tank. I think-" Wednesday sighed at Hecate's words and the two began walking once more. Although, when they made it outside and saw it was raining, Wednesday put the umbrella up and held it so that the item covered both of their heads.

"How did it go with Bianca?" Wednesday asked, glancing only briefly at her sister but she saw no wound on the girl's face. What Wednesday did see, was the grin that appeared on Hecate's face.

"I taught her a couple lessons about us Addams."

"Good. Did you wound her?"

"I got her cheek." Hecate replied, and she didn't miss the slightly proud look her twin gave her. "Wait-" Hecate grabbed Wednesday's arm, hearing something come from above. "Did you hear that?" When Wednesday looked up and closely at a stone gargoyle, she noticed it began moving before soon enough the stone creature was heading for their heads.

Upon realising what was happening, Hecate shoved her sister out the way, but there wasn't enough time for her. When the golden haired girl stared at the ever so close gargoyle, she felt-

"Hecate!"
