Sitting in front of my closet I begun to try to envision the different outfit combinations I could wear on this date. As my eyes darted to my phone, as another notification appeared I had exactly an hour to decide on an outfit and to be completely fair it didn't help that Kay wasn't giving up any sort of hints as to where we were gonna go either.
The only thing I got was that we were gonna be outside, my phone vibrated again and Dougie's Photo lit up the screen. I sighed answering the phone, "Yes Dougie" I said
"Mud you don't hear me knockin at the door?" He asked
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "You was knockin?" I asked getting up and heading to my door. As I opened it Dougie stood their with his phone still to his head, "Yeah dickhead, I been knockin' for at least 5 minutes now" He said
I ended the call, and chuckled letting him into my apartment. "Why you ain't dressed yet?" He asked, "Ain't normally y'all already dressed and takin' photos by now?"
I groaned, "Dougie you know Kay right?"
Dougie mugged me going into the kitchen and towards my fridge, "Niggah what kinda dumb question is that?"
"Bro I don't know what to wear, where does he like to go?" I asked sitting at the chairs by the counter
Dougie closed the fridge turning towards me, "Ion know the Niggah likes bein' outside, call Lovee and ask him"
"I did the Niggah ain't know nothin either"
Dougie laughed, "What you was thinkin' of wearing?" He asked
I shrugged, "At this point jeans, a graphic tee, and dunks" I said
Dougie nodded his head, "Well go put it on and let's see Mud"
Getting off of the chair I walked back to my room, going through the clothes in my closet and picign out the outfit I had mentioned to Dougie. Once I put it on I think I felt a little bit better in terms of the outfit, I mean it was casual and comfortable.
Walking out of my room, Dougie looked up from his phone and nodded his head, "It's nice, got a different shirt?" He asked eating ice cream
"Bro what? You just said it was nice"
He nodded, "Yeah but you don't look like you goin on a date Y/N thats like you just hangin' with us" He chuckled
I sighed and walked back into my room again going through my tops to see if I had something better than this current shirt. I ended up finding one of my tan halter tops, and decided to put that on when I walked back out Dougie gave a thumbs up. "See thats better"
I sighed sitting down on the couch, and literally a asked dapping him up
Kay nodded his head, "Been aight"He said
Kay moved his attention from Dougie and looked at me, "You ready?"
I nodded, "Well damn Bro you ain't gon say she look nice or nothin?" Dougie asked looking between the both of us
Kay smacked his lips, brushing off Dougie, "Niggah she knows she looks good why I gotta tell her for" He asked mugging him
Dougie raised his hands, "My bad bro"
I chuckled and followed Kay out, "Dougie don't make a mess, and be a good boy"
"Ayo!"
>> TIME SKIP <<
We pulled up to the stadium and I turned looking over at him, "You like this stuff?" I asked
He shrugged, "It's something different"
After he parked the car, he'd came over to my side opening the door. We walked up to the stadium, and the whole time I could see a little excitement in his face the closer we got.
As we made our way to our seats, I smiled looking around. And when I turned to Kay he'd had his phone out in front of me, I chuckled. "You gon smile or just look surprised?" He asked raising an eyebrow
I smiled, "You know you're kind of a weirdo" I said once he'd put his phone down
"Ain't nobody weird here but you" He said chuckling
I shook my head, "You ever been to a game before?" I asked
He nodded, "Yeah a couple of times before when I was younger, you like baseball?"
"It's a cool sport don't know if I could do it, Y'know the whole swinging of the bat aspect and waiting I'd fail at"
He raised an eyebrow, "What about the runnin'?"
"That's nothing I used to run track so, that's not a problem."
Kay nodded his head slowly as a smile made its way onto his face, "Nice to know"
"What are you thinking about" I asked
Kay laughed, "In case we gotta spin the block, I gotta know if you able to keep up" He said
I rolled my eyes laughing, "Listen here if you're spinnin any block it betta be when I'm 100miles from it and you"
"What do you mean? You wouldn't spin a block wit me?"
I looked at him stopping my laughter, "Niggah do it look like I spin blocks?"
He shrugged, "Do it look like I spin blocks?" He asked
The moment I went to say something he raise his hand, "Don't answer that"
I laughed, "You're wild"
Kay and I continued to talk more, than watch the game to be honest and it was nice to get to know what was behind that blank stare and mean mug.
The Yankees ended up winning the game, and as we walked outta the stadium Kay and I took a photo with the help of another fan to commemorate the night.
When we got to the car, he opened the door for me once again before going to his side and getting in. As we pulled up to a light he turned towards me, "What do you wanna go and eat?" He asked
I shrugged looking around, and pointing across the street. "Whatta 'bout MickeyD's? " I said while turning to look at him
"What did you just call it?" He squinted
"What MickeyD's?"
Kay laughed, "Yo you real different you know" He said as he pulled into the parking lot
We both got out of the car, and walked inside. Ordering our food we went to sit, and wait for it the workers to call out our numbers. While we waited I talked more and Kay just found new ways to tease or make fun of me. "Lemme ask you a real question for a minute" Kay said as he returned with the trays of our food
I nodded, "Shoot" I said eating a fry
"You like me?" He asked
I damn near almost died because what kind of a question was that? "Damn I ain't mean to kill you" He said handing me a drink
I chuckled, "If I didn't like you we wouldn't be here Kay" I said after a minute
"Where would we be?"
"Um I don't know where you'd be, but I'd be fighting Dougie outta my damn fridge"
He nodded his head, "Heard you"
"Can I ask you a real question?"
Kay looked at me, not saying anything. "Um is that a yes or no?" I asked chuckling
"I was waitin' for you to go on Y/N" He said sitting up crossing his arms
I nodded my head, "Right, forgot you function differently" I said muttering the last part
He raised an eyebrow, "What'd you say?"
I shook my head chuckling, "Don't worry bout it, anyways my question. How come you always actin' like you not interested or don't care bout nothin'? Clearly you do, otherwise you wouldn't be involved"
Kay stared at me for a moment not saying anything, I'm guessing he was thinking to be honest can't really decipher whether he's pissed or thinkin' bout something yet . "Ion know sometimes I just be in my own world, I ain't mad or nothin' just be tryna be something" He said picking up his burger and eating it. "I like you Y/N, you different than the other girls on the block. You ain't stuck up, live ya own life, and you like one of da bros forreal but ion want you as a bro"
I blinked a couple of times to register all that Kay said because I know he complimented me but in a confusing way that was still understandable. "Um thank you I guess" I said confused
Kay chuckled, "Niggah I like you, thats why ion want you as a bro. I wanna make you my girl, if you want"
"Was that your way of asking me or telling me?" I asked even more confused than before
A smile appeared on his face as he leaned back in his seat, and crossed his arms. "Y/N do you wanna be my girlfriend"

Y'all so sorry for the late chapter, I legit meant to write last night for today but I was with family and it was hella people in my house.
