Chapter 8 (Two similar thoughts)
The little princess hugs tighter and refused to budge
"Ge, likes me the most, right Ge...." the little princess looks at his brother with the hope
Wei Ying truly loves this pair of Baobei and he rugs her head
"Yup, loves that you give me a headache, my little ancestor," he told his baby sister but princess Wei Hua just stick his tongue out to his brother and giggled with no intention to come down.
Prince Wei Teng got a little mad and he sticks his tongue out to his sister and now they starts a "Tongue Out" war, which makes Wei Ying shakes his head but he really enjoys these two live baobei and carried his sister and then with his little brother follows behind him all the way to their father's palace.
Along the way, those neatly dressed armored young soldiers saw the scene of the tall handsome prince carrying his baby sister now on his back, followed by the teasing and laughing younger prince was a delightful scene. This is not the first time those palace guards saw it, but each time, it always melts the hearts of these soldiers. Well, there were always rumors that the princes and princess themselves fight for the throne, however, at least for the Wei Country, these sibling doesn't have that scene yet. The scene in front of them is of loving siblings walking together like any normal children in the city.
Every time the prince walks past, each and every soldier have to bow towards him and even the younger royal siblings but because the crown prince is here, thus all respect usually goes to the crown prince.
As they were walking nearer to the emperor's palace, the two siblings always wanted the juicy story from the crown prince, the crown prince is high and noble but when he is with his little sibling, he couldn't help with the teasing
"So big already, still want me to carry huh...." Wei Ying teases his little sister,
however, the princess even holds tighter and says to his brother
"I enjoy it...humph...." Princess Wei Hua giggled behind and tighter her thin arm around Wei Ying's neck
Wei Teng saw it and couldn't help but sneer
"With you looking like a baby, no one will marry you...." Wei Teng teases his sister
The princess is not even angry and told the brother
"Who wants to get married....."
"I want to live with my father and mother" Wei Hua doesn't even care a thing about marriage
Wei Teng is not going to let go and so he goes for her again
"Then you will be an old yellow face alone in the cold palace...hahahaha" Wei Teng laughs at Wei Hua.
Wei Huan got angry and she stretches his skinny legs and gives Wei Teng a sidekick
Wei Teng felt the kick, it is actually like a chicken's feet but he is not happy
"Still dare to kick people, no one wants you..." Wei Teng told his sister
Wei Hua doesn't care and asks his big brother
"Big brother, you want me right....." Wei Hua asks
The crown prince frowns because he is always stuck between the two and he then sighs loudly
"Yeah, I have a dog and a cat, fighting every day....." Wei Ying told them
Both the brother and sister looks at each other and then they shouted at the same time
"We are not cat and dog...hump!..." they speak at the same time
Wei Ying looks at Xing and asks
"Don't you both look like one...." Wei Ying asks his subordinate
Xing of course doesn't want to get involved, he values his own head and thus he looks at the sky and pretended to be deaf
"Huh..."
"What...."
Wei Ying knew his trick and just let him off and told his siblings
"Well, you two fight like cat and dog and if you don't want me to call you that, then stop fighting...." both of them pursed their lips and were quiet when they nearly reached the emperor's living quarter.
The Emperor of Wei has a large living quarter inside the palace and each with its own decoration is known as the "Zhen Gong" meaning the main quarter where the emperor and the empress lives. In the Wei Country, there is no harem as the emperor does not believe in it, however, the other older royals indulge in three wives and four concubines which the emperor doesn't want to care about. Thus, the empress is often the envies of many women, marrying the most powerful man in the country and maintaining her status as the only woman that is standing beside the emperor.
The worst part of it, which makes every envious woman vomit blood is that the empress born three beautiful children for the emperor, and each of them is extremely outstanding, especially the eldest, the heir to the throne, how can any woman not envy till death?
The empress is by the side of the emperor but her head is looking outside rather than facing the emperor, although they were already an old couple for many years but this matured emperor is rather stingy and really wants his wife's full attention and he would cough
"Cough ... cough...."
"Ying-er will come soon, look at me now when drinking tea..." the emperor demands attention from his beloved empress.
"Huh...."
"Oh...."
"I see you every day...."
"Wait....don't tell me you eat your own son's vinegar....."
The beautiful empress rolls her eyes around, although she is already nearing forty she is very well maintained and the emperor dotes on her, thus with all the care and love, the empress looks like a big sister to her own son.
"Of course not....." the emperor sighs internally and swallow those sour taste.
Just then the eunuch announces
"Crown prince, second prince, and princess are here....."
After hearing the announcement, the empress immediately stand up and hurried waited to welcome her children. The emperor is actually very delighted for he also loves his children dearly, he just sometimes wanted to be childish.
Wei Ying of course puts his baby sister down and although the two younger siblings are tough at their mouths Wei Teng will help Wei Hua to straighten her clothes
"Alright now...." the sweet voice of a twelve years old princess and the fifteen young boy prince will nods
"Hm...."
Wei Ying crosses his arms in front of his chest and shakes his head, his two living baobei are sometimes like firecrackers but at times they are like sheep that take care of each other, and he loves them heaps.
"Alright...let's go or mother will....." Wei Ying didn't need to complete it as all of them knew.
Xing follows behind silently and prays for good fate.
As soon as they entered the chamber of the emperor, Wei Hua smiles but did not forget her manners as she follows the two older brothers
"Good health to father emperor and mother empress" all the child speaks at the same time and they bow slightly to greet the parents.
Mother empress widens her eyes and looks at Wei Ying especially because this child disappears for almost a week.
"Come....any injuries...speaks..." the empress herself holds her breathe but she shot an eye at Xing who is following behind and her demure is such that "you better not let the crown prince got any injuries...", of course, XIng is having cold sweat now.
Wei Ying saw the glares his mother gave to Xing and he immediately assured his empress mother
"I am fine, not many can hurt me......" Wei Ying told his mother and then gives her a slight hug.
However, this empress mother is not that easy to please, she immediately turns her son around and used her qi to check on him. We Ying could feel his mother using her qi to check on his body. His mother is not just an ordinary woman, she is a lady from the Jianghu whom his father met while he is doing his disguised tour in his own country, just to tease out the life of common folk. There he met a young girl at the time fighting for unjustice and the young emperor then fell in love with her. She is highly beautiful and had already turned down many men till she met the young and handsome emperor then and they both fell in love with each other.
"Mother, I am fine...." Wei Ying only whines when he is with his mother.
"Alright, that is good......"
"Come and have some tea with us..." the empress ushers in her children to sit around and have some family time.
This is quite a common scene as the emperor and empress spent quite a lot of time with their children when they are not busy with official matters.
The royal family is just like any original family, sitting together carefree, eating and chatting with each other. Their topics ranges from past events till the latest events and Wei Ying even told them about the bandit's stories. The two younger siblings were full of admiration but the parents frown and even scolds him for not bringing enough guards

After a good time of eating and chatting, finally, the empress sits straight up with a serious face and then elbows the emperor who is now eating his favourite sweet.
"Cough...cough..." the sweet slit out and he looks at his beloved with wide eyes and the empress mouthed to him
"Tell him..." the emperor frowns and stares at his beloved wife and eye signals her to do the talking.
This kind of I push you and you push me is all in the eyes of Wei Ying and even the youngest Wei Hua knew something is not right.
However, Wei Ying kicks his siblings and told them not to interrupt and let the parents feel embarrassed, both of them nod with their eyes and continue to act stupidly, which angered the parents as they wanted to make a slight commotion so that they can ease into the topic easily. However, these kids have high IQs like themselves and they are not easy to buy-in.
An old couple of the emperor and empress have to give in because none of the kids ask them what they wanted to talk and so they have to be the ones to speak.
The empress then bite her tongue and begin the serious talk
"Ying-er ah, you are already over twenty and it is time to talk about your marriage, don't you think...." the empress asks with a frown and trying to show a pitiful look.
Wei Ying didn't buy that pitiful face but instead told his mother
"I am still young and not thinking about that yet...." Wei Ying is determined with his decision
The empress knew his eldest son loves his freedom and a bit of pressure is needed
"Well, you are betrothed to the younger child of the Lan country since you were young....." the empress told the prince
Wei Ying frowns and told his mother
"The second child of the Lan family has a bad reputation for being a spoilt brat, how can I marry him...." Wei Ying has definitely knew about Lan Zhan's bad reputation.
The empress smiles at her own son
"I have bore a clever son and he should know the reason behind those rumors......" the empress told him
"Their mother is the precious pearl from the land of Pan, extraordinarily beautiful and exquisite, rare and ethereal, top of intellect, do you think they would not protect their precious Ger son, least it will be eaten by beast..." the empress laughs and then looks sharply at her son.
The little Wei Hua was eating a sweet puff in her mouth and suddenly she stops
"Yeah, brother often kills those beasts in the jungle, he can be fiercer than the beast...." Wei Hua looks at them with innocent big eyes while eating her favorite sweet puff.
Wei Ying looks at her with anguish, he is noble and gentlemanlike in manner, and of course, he doesn't want to be compared with the beast and he immediately shoves a sweet into the sister's mouth
"Eat more and talk less..."
"You need to sweeten your tongue..." however, everyone is already giggling away...., while Wei Ying glares at his little brother.
"Also, you need to be fierce to go into the forest....." Wei Ying told his little brother and immediately, the mouth that opens to take another bite of the sweet puff, close back with no food in it.
Wei Teng got the hidden hint and immediately plead for mercy
"Yeah...our brother is the best...the fiercest and caught the worst beast, totally a hero...heh heh..." Wei Teng shoot out as many good words as possible.
Wei Hua couldn't stand it and she looks at her big brother with big eyes and continue her puff.
Wei Ying shakes his head and told his brother
"The only thing that had improved in you since I left a week ago is......." Wei Ying pointing his finger at Wei Teng
Wei Teng is very delighted, he thought his big brother is going to praise him, grain more creditability his big brother and he will be able to hunt with his brother and so Wei Teng rubs his hands together and waits
"Your fart....." Wei Ying glares at Wei Teng
Everyone giggles away even the parents laughing
"Ha ha ha ha..." Wei Teng mumbles away,
"I haven't even farted yet, how can you smell it......" Wei Teng felt aggrieved as he looks at Wei Ying.
Wei Ying flicked his head and told him
"Your rainbow fart is so powerful that it doesn't need to come out, everyone can sense it while it is inside you..." Wei Ying told him and another round of laughter
"Ha ha ha" the family giggled away with red faces Wei Teng dares not speak a word, at least his brother will never bring him out for hunting, something that he really loves.
The empress is still on task and she didn't want to let her eldest son escape
"Ehem...talking about your marriage....., it is time...and I can ensure you, the second child of the Lan royal is definitely beautiful, the father is good looking and the mother is like a fairy, I haven't seen him for a while, but when he was five, he was so beautiful that everyone wants a piece of him....' the empress recalls the meeting years ago.
The empress suddenly turns around and looks at Wei Ying
"You have seen the child right?" the empress asks Wei Ying
Wei Ying recalled seeing a boy at about five, he was white like a piece of fine jade, and very shy and cute
"Mmm...like a piece of jade at that time.." Wei Ying told his mother and still shows no interest.
"Well, you see, good genes always past down, look at you...isn't this a good example..." the empress is not even shy and indirectly praise herself.
Wei Ying now knew where his brother got that shameless character looking at his mother, but she loves his mother and his mother is indeed beautiful and his father is the charming and outstanding man, so he smiles and told them
"Yeah, mother is indeed beautiful...." Wei Ying praises his mother and immediately the empress smile like a sunflower but still, she remembered her task
"Thank you, son, still you have to consider the marriage....." the empress told the son.
Wei Ying took a deep breath and looked at his mother's determination and he knew that it cannot be change, however, the crown prince wanted to dodge and so he smile and answer sweetly
"Oh, in that case, how about we wait for father emperor's birthday and then decide...." Wei Ying smiles sweetly and hopes to get by for another year but his mother is not to be underestimated.
"What, your father just had his birthday, no-nonsense......" the empress rolls her big eyes and looks at her son with full intention.
Wei Ying felt trapped and so he gave another suggestion
"Then, how about after the three months that I trained the new batch of soldiers...." Wei Ying asks again.
The empress put her hands on her waist and then told her son strictly
"Well, no more excuses, and I am sure when you see him, you will fall head over heal and lost your balance..." the empress told him.
Wei Ying was a little shock and he knew now is not the time to argue as his emperor father dotes on his mother, so he kept quiet and in his mind
"I will go for a Jianghu tour then...hee hee" Wei Ying scratches his pointy chin. Then, he also gives himself a challenge
"Let's see how good-looking he is...."
"Well, I bet it is all a rumor..."
"Hmph!!!!!"
Somewhere in the Lan country, a beautiful Ger is resting and taking an afternoon nap but he suddenly woke up and sneeze three times
"Ah Chu...."
"Ahh..Chu.."
"Ahh Chu.."
Lan Zhan then sits up and looks at the ceiling of the bed and wonders who is scolding him.
Lan Zhan is getting bored and now a day, he seems to be integrating the ancient Lan Zhan. is memories of the ancient Lan Zhan seem to flood his mind.
He even realized that he knew martial arts and he can fly with his lightweight Kung fu and this add lots of excitement to the modern teenager, it is like a dream comes true.
Also, he is going to be more and more like a Ger physically and mentally. He embraced his soft white skin and slender waist and also learned to walk very gracefully if he wanted to. He is a little shy and is always careful to change his clothes, he doesn't allow even Xiao Yuan to see him totally naked. He will wear his inner clothes and then let Xiao Yuan dress him up.
However, the day that his parents told him that he had been betrothed to the Wei country prince who according to the rumor is an icy cold brutal prince who hunts the beast and is a beast himself made Lan Zhan very uneasy.
He is worried now that he might truly have to marry the 'beast' and be eaten alive.
For the past week, he has been studying the palace wall and saw a huge tree very near to the wall which he thinks will be a good chance for him to dodge undercover by the tree and jump over the wall for a fun time and try and forget that he had to marry the 'beast'. He is a modern teenager, and although he had embraced the ancient value the thought of 'pleasure before torture' seems still very appealing to Lan Zhan.
The more he thinks of it, the happier he is............
