Author POV
As the time passed, Yoongi started shaking in Jin's hold... burying his head in his hyung's chest
Jin cupped the younger one's checks, smiling at him
"Yoongi, honey, it's okay. It's totally fine. Please don't think about what she said. She's a meanie! No one likes her anyway. I'll get it cleaned"
"....n-no hyung. I- I'll clean it m-myself"
"No! The shattered glass is too dangerous! You'll get hurt.... I'll get someone to clean it"
"No...h-hyung please. I- I'll fell bad if someone e-else does it. I m-made the mess, I s-should clean it"
"..... Yoongi "
- Jin said softly.
"Hyung... please."
-jin nodded
Jin went to the kitchen bring some cleaning equipments to help Yoongi. While Yoongi already kneed down to pick up the broken pieces.
For some reason,
Jungkook was still standing there...not moving, not eating his food, not leaving. Just watching Yoongi.
Yoongi was more than nervous already. As he also felt the alpha's intense gaze, he became distracted...
"Ahh"
- Yoongi gasped feeling a string of pain on his plam.
He accidentally cut his hand by a shard he was holding.
The cut must be deep cause there's lots of blood staring to flow out.
Jungkook was quick to react.
He literally ran to the omega as soon as he saw the cut.
He gently held his arm and pulled him up to stand on his feet
"Why the hell are you so stubborn?! You should've just left. Now look, you hurt yourself!"
- Jungkook said holding his hand which was bleeding.
Yoongi didn't utter a word or look up at him. He just kept winching at the pain
Jungkook pulled him into the kitchen sink while Jin finally noticed. He became terrified at the sight of blood and reached to Yoongi instantly
"What the fuck! Oh my God! Did Yoongi cut his hand?! Ahh I knew something like that will happen"
- Jin came forward to hold Yoongi but Jungkook didn't seem to give him up
Jungkook held his bleeding hand under the cold tap water. Yoongi flinched as the cold water touched his open wound. Jungkook noticed and placed his other arm around his waist to hold him in place while Jin stood behind them slowly caressing Yoongi's back to calm him
"Jin hyung, bring the first aid kit"
- Jin nodded and left. Jungkook turned off the sink and walked him over the living room.
He sat beside Yoongi still holding his wrist not to let go.
Yoongi kept winching in pain as it was staring to hurt more.
Soon Jin came back running with the first aid kit.
"Jungkook move. I'll do it"
- Jin asked him not knowing why the alpha was still here
"No"
- he simply answered and took the box out of Jin's hold
Jin looked at the wound in the omega's hand with concern. He wanted to protest and take care of it himself but he didn't. He let Jungkook do as he wished.
Yoongi looked up at his hyung. His eyes were filled with tears, it held so much pain. Maybe he wasn't just physically hurt but he was more hurt mentally- Jin understand that.
Disparite he is worried sick for the younger, he sighed and softly smiled at him before leaving.
Deciding it'll be better to give them some space
Yoongi become more tensed as Jin left. Praying that his hyung will come back and not leave him with this alpha.
But they truth is it's only the two of them alone here...... nothing he could do to escape. Should he just get up and walk away? What to do to avoid him?
He was brought back to reality when Jungkook dabbed the alcohol pad in his wound.
"Ahh.." - he winched in pain, moving his hand in reflex. But Jungkook again held his wrist with his free hand and continued.
"Why are you winching now? You should have known you'll get hurt as soon as you decided to act stubborn"
- Jungkook said sarcastically.
Yoongi pouted at the statement. He wanted to snap back but he didn't know what to say. Moreover, he didn't want any communication with the said male
Jungkook held his hand in front of his mouth and slowly below air on it trying to erase the pain
Yoongi looked at the scene in front of his eyes with much adoration.
Jungkook was treating his wound as it was his own to deal with. With so much attention and care not to hurt it.
Yoongi blushed and looked away. His feelings were already wide....it shouldn't go any worse- he reminded himself.
As Jungkook was done with the bandaging it. He still didn't let go. He held his wrist with a strong grip yet so careful not to hurt
He kept the box aside and looked at the younger.
Yoongi refused to make eye contact with him. Not even looking at his detection.
He was trying hard to escape, to get out of here and avoid any kind of interaction with him.....but the alpha kept a firm grip on his wrist as if he already knew that the omega will leave if he let go.
Yoongi grew confused at why was Jungkook was not letting him go. He was done but he just kept staring at him without saying anything. The aura was getting heavy for Yoongi. He almost started sweating. He could feel Jungkook gazing at his soul
Minutes passed but not none of them uttered a word.
One just intensely staring at the other while holding he's wrist and the other just nervously sitting there.
It was all getting too much for Yoongi to take
First of all, he knows he made Jungkook mad and then he showed him mercy....now why isn't he letting him go? He was already too embarrassed. All of this - he felt like crying.....but no. He won't cry. Not anymore.....not at least in front of the one who doesn't even care
Finally Yoongi gently tried to pull his hand away, signifying to let go but the grip only tightened
"Yoongi..."
- he said in a low voice
Yoongi gulped nervously but didn't budge
"Yoongi"
- he called again, more softly
Yoongi's heart ached at the voice.
The voice the loved the most. He wanted to look up, he wanted to answer but he didn't. It's not the same when, he knows the one the loves, the one he'll sell his soul for...... doesn't love him back (?)
As Jungkook understood he wasn't gonna answer.
He lifted his free hand and gently cupped the omega's cheek.
That worked cause Yoongi instantly looked up. Eyes wide and blush visible in his cheeks
No matter how hard one tries....who can refuse the touch of the one they truly love?
Jungkook gently ran his thumb over his cheek.....it felt like heaven to Yoongi. He felt like closing his eyes and melting away at the touch
They just looked at each others eyes. Yoongi was too shocked to even look away from the eyes that held the whole galaxy in them.
Too beautiful, he felt like losing himself in those eyes forever
On the other side, Jungkook felt lost as well. Those cat like eyes....he adored them the most.... maybe he wasn't too good in showing his interest.
He wanted to hold him more closer....to hug him and tell him it's alright but he didn't....he couldn't.
It felt like an eternity before Jungkook spoke.... Yoongi was beyond shocked..
"No need to think I'm stupid. I know quite well Lisa did something. I knew something was wrong as soon as she called you"
- Yoongi opened and closed his mouth like a fish...he was so scared for nothing.
It was a huge relief that Jungkook didn't misunderstand him. He felt like flying in joy that the alpha understood
"....I don't know what to say about her. I'm sorry that I couldn't defend you...I just couldn't....but I knew. I can't stand her Yoongi. She's not good. She's triggering you and I don't know why. Please stay away from her....even if she calls you, don't go. Hell, I should have stopped you before it all happened... it's my fault "
- he sounded guilty and sad?.... Yoongi was confused. He wanted to tell him that's not his fault but he didn't say anything.
He felt happy....that the alpha at least cared.
"However, you shouldn't have went to pick up the broken glass. I have lots of maids in this house.... don't do those dangerous works ever again"
- he said in a demanding tone.
Yoongi blushed and looked away.... thinking, why was he caring about him that much or is it just pity...
There was another small pause. Jungkook spoke again but this time it stunned Yoongi the most.
Jungkook's voice sounded so....broken....as if he was pending
"Yoongi..... please. Stop avoiding me"
"I'm not, you are the one who acts like I don't exist "
- Yoongi didn't saw that coming. It's like his mind spoke for itself
However, Jungkook didn't look offended, his eyes softened
He slowly took his hand away from Yoongi's cheek and let go of his wrist. Now that Yoongi felt pain in his wound, somehow the alpha's touch was able to distract him but now it hurts again...
Jungkook sat back straight and took a deep breath.
"I didn't know why I acted like that. You know there's a lot going over me... I'm not in a good state of mind. So.... don't mind me"
- Yoongi nodded understanding his excuse.
"Please don't act like this. There's no reason.....let's be fine again?"
- Yoongi didn't say anything at that...as if there was a war going inside his head and he needed to think
Jungkook didn't say anything else, he just left him to think...
...a few moments later, Yoongi finally looked directly at his eyes and smiled bitterly
"Imagine if you break a mirror, then try to put the pieces together.... that'll never be the same as before, right?"
- Yoongi said and got up. He took the first aid box in his hands and again looked at him
"Thank you very much for your help sir"
- he bowed and left.
Jungkook just sat there by himself. He was stunned by the statement he just received.
....he won't deny today... he felt hurt, he never felt it before... it's not a good feeling. He never wanted to feel it...
He felt so broken...
His heart ached...
it cut like a sword as he knew the meaning ...
He knew quite well..... Yoongi wasn't just talking about mirrors
