Chapter 6 (Crown Prince Wei Ying)
Lan Huan coughs a few times and his eyes were a bit avoiding and making Lan Zhan even more suspicious.
Finally, Lan Huan couldn't avoid his little brother penetrating Lazer beam's eyes and so he told Lan Zhan
"Um..hmm....in order to keep you safe, you are willful, naughty, and ill-tempered....."
Lan Zhan jumps up sky-high and screams
"You mean I am a bad person....." Lan Zhan almost fainted hearing it, his reputation in the modern world is a hardworking, well-mannered, and even handsome dude and now he is the totally opposite.....
His eyes are rolling round and round, his teeth are gritting hard and his fist are clenched looking at his brother for a fight....
Lan Zhan can only mumble incoherent words
"Y-You...you....." the air from his nose is hot and his eyes are burning with those hot angry tears yet Lan Zhan couldn't scold his own brother because he felt like he is the only one now that are dear and close to him.
After a few big breaths, Lan Zhan managed to get some words out calmly
"Why?"
"Aren't there better ways?????"
"Huh!"
Lan Zhan asked with controlled anger as he could see that Lan Huan is also very sad and distressed.
Lan Huan suddenly hugs his little brother and told him
"I want to protect you, I don't want you to suffer any grievances, okay," Lan Huan told his little brother and his eyes already turns red, on top of his mother's urging, he also loves his brother dearly.
Lan Zhan suddenly laughs and told Lan Huan
"At the most, I remain single forever...hee hee...that is also good" Lan Zhan is a teenager and marriage is not in his mind but he is also aware that with such a bad name, no one will want to marry him.
Lan Huan squeeze his shoulder and then he felt a bit complicated
"Errr......." Lan Huan stops and looks at his little brother
"What?" Lan Zhan asks as he didn't want any more horrible hidden stuff that he is not aware of.
Lan Huan took a deep breath and told him
"You are actually betrothed to Wei's country crown prince...."
"Since young...." Lan Huan also doesn't seem very pleased with the arranged marriage.
Lan Zhan couldn't control his teenage impulse and he immediately burst into his thoughts
"What century is this, Huh?"
"Why is there an arranged marriage?" Lan Zhan asks with anger and suddenly he remembered and then he rolls his own eyes and covered his mouth
"Ooop......, stupid..." Lan Zhan mumbles to himself of course this is ancient times and arranged marriage is common and usual.
Lan Huan tried to pacify his little brother and told him
"Well, he might have heard of your reputation and changed his mind..."
"So, don't worry....." Lan Huan is really afraid of this little ancestor as when he is sad, Lan Huan will feel uncomfortable.
'Hopefully......" Lan Zhan folds his hands on his tiny waist and stares at his brother.
Lan Zhan gave him a fist in front of Lan Huan's eyes, showing his angry emotions but Lan Huan holds the white small fist and then even gave it a name
"Look like a white bun....." Lan Huan told Lan Zhan.
Suddenly, a fist hit Lan Huan's chest but this body has been taughten through military training plus Lan Zhan just couldn't use too much strength on his own brother, Lan Huan only felt like he is hit by cotton but he pretended that he was seriously injured and begins to cough loudly and painfully
"Cough...cough...."
"So painful....ahhhh...so painful" the acting is so good that Lan Huan even staggered and holds onto the table for support.
Lan Zhan rolls his eyes and told Lan Huan
"You should sign up for an actor......"
"Call the Imperial doctor...." Lan Zhan shouted at Xiao Yuan
Lan Huan suddenly jumps up and stretched his arm
"Ahhhhh......somehow, feeling all good now...." Lan Huan winks and teases his little brother.
Lan Zhan couldn't stand it and picked up the buns on the table and started to throw them at his brother both of them ran around and somehow enjoyed the childlike fun
"You cannot catch me....." Lan Huan laughs and teases Lan Zhan
Lan Zhan got so angry that he started to throw more buns and suddenly one landed on someone's head which scare them to death.....
(Guess who......?????)
In the other part of the country, a handsome young and tall prince is now practicing his horse riding and archery. The forest is very dense, like a canopy covering the large space of living trees and shrubs. However, the magnificent horse ride by the tall prince has a very strong hoove and the strong legs of the horse name "White snow" just managed the undulation without a tint of difficulty making the prince very proud and delighted.
The tall prince stops the horse and felt that his followers are still far behind him, he just chuckles and pats his horse
"White snow.....you are still the greatest..." the proud owner is very delighted and proud of such a treasured horse.
The horse is from a special breed, it could be said that it is a special rare breed that is combined with the mysterious "Xian" mountain breed that runs in the wild that people only can see their shadows and not even the horse, no one has ever caught one of the horses because of their lighting speed.
However, this horse was caught and it was such a rare breed that the emperor of the Wei Country let his smart and beloved eldest son who has magnificent skills taint the horse.
Now, "White Snow" belongs to the crown Prince of Wei and it is rumored that this horse has the nickname of a flying horse, it is really almost impossible to catch this horse.
Prince Wei Ying is the twenty-one years old crown prince of Wei Country. The country cheered and celebrated a week before the grand birth of this wonderful child. The empress is a beautiful and wonderful lady from the noble breed of the country, her father is the Prince Minister of the then-late Emperor, thus wisdom and intellect have been the genetics that has been passed down from the present Empress to the acclaimed crown Prince. Also, the great genes of beauty from his mother of the large eyes, sharp nose, and even thin lips are just superior characteristics that set the country cheering non-stopped for their beloved handsome prince.
Prince Wei Ying is more than just a crown Prince for the country, he is more like the modern idol that each and every household in the country wanted their daughter or Ger to marry him. Not only for his power and wealth but more so for his charming and handsome personality as well as his good look, which makes all the girls and gers scream on the top of their lungs.
The whole country knows that crown prince Wei Ying, is handsome to handsome and also, with great martial arts and a compassionate heart but he is always indifferent to people around him. Usually, no one sees him laughing with a smile, he is always stern and serious looking and no one knew what is the reason except his family.
The country knew about his compassionate heart because he is often seen helping or organizing help for those people in poverty and he has a special heart for orphans. Although the crown prince tried to keep it low key still cannot escape the ears and eyes of those people that are under him, thus words of his good deeds spread like fire, and everyone is just pleased that they have such a great future emperor in line.
The young crown prince has his own set of rules, he has been brought up by very strict parents, his emperor father trained him to take over the country, his mother taught him the meaning of life and etiquette, and most important of all, morale and humanity. Thus, to the crown prince, no one in the country had ever heard of his wildlife news, he doesn't have any "wild weeds" news, and his life is cleaner than a piece of white sheet of paper.
Although there were many princesses or official daughters who fall in love with him at the first sight, the crown prince has never set his eyes on anyone because to him, not only beauty or brains but he needed someone to move his heart and soul, and so far, he doesn't find anyone interesting or delightful in his sight.
The young prince is now shooting in the dense forest and a wild dog speeding after a deer caught his attention, the young prince Wei Ying pats his beloved "White snow" and told him
"After the wild dog...." the horse and the owner seem to have a tacit understanding and immediately, "White snow" speed up. "White snow" gallops like a knife against the wind, it cuts sharp and swift across the brazing wind, and because it is so fast and sharp and it feels like the trees and shrubs are swaying with fright because of the speed "White Snow" is galloping. However, there are people that are suffering because of the young handsome prince and his speedy "White Snow".
By now, those followers that are supposed to protect the young handsome prince are hitting the horse side to chasten them but still, there is no sight or even shadow of the young prince, the back of their uniforms are all soaked with cold sweat. If anything happens to the young crown prince, their heads will all roll on the floor like balls to be kicked aside. The red guards with their uniform in black and inside with a red sleeve are highly trained palace guards that are assigned to protect the young crown prince.
These "Red shadow guards" are assigned by the emperor for royal protection and the crown prince is the top priority as he is the successor to the Wei country.
The leader of the red shadow guard, Xing is now frowning and cursing in swear words as he couldn't find the direction of the crown prince and could only release the trained dogs.
"Get them to smell the crown prince's clothes" Xing instructed the subordinates.
There are about 6 dogs that are all well-trained and now being asked to smell the clothes of the crown prince
"Go!" the dogs were then immediately released and all of them spread out in different directions the team of bodyguards of twenties was then divided into a team of six to follow the running dogs.
The dogs were all trained for hunting and search and rescue, thus it is not difficult for them to trace the young prince as the dogs were trained to seek and find.
Very quickly, the six-team of men with the six dogs in front leading came together in one direction and sped through the narrow pathway searching frantically for their national heir, the crown prince Wei Ying.
Wei Ying released an arrow while he was actually standing on the speeding "White Snow", there are less than ten people at the time in the entire world that can have such superior skills. Standing on top of the horse is already a very difficult skill, but that includes the skill of holding onto the archery with those strong steady hands and the eyes looking at the prey and shooting the arrow at the prey. Wei Ying is a highly skilled martial artist which the entire country knew but to what level is his skill, not many people knew. Not only that, but not many people knew his "Jianghu' name.
Wei Ying has a noble name when he traveled in the "Jianghu", his name was Wei Wuxian, where the world people were all afraid of, and he specialized in flute. The big hero "Wei Wuxian" always protects the weak and helped the poor, he will fight against bandits and lawless people that take advantage of the poor and weak.
The arrow released by Wei Ying, hit the big wild dog in the neck and the wild dog struggles badly till it died the deer escaped peacefully without knowing that the crown prince protected him.
Wei Ying hurriedly ride towards the dead wild dog and got off his beautiful and strong "White Snow" and looks at the wild dog and then he pats "White Snow" and praised him
"Good boy....." Wei Ying told his horse and the horse goes "Hewwwww......."
Of course, praise must come with a reward and so the threats were taken from Wei Ying's jacket and he feeds the greedy beloved horse with a great smile.
Just then, the twenty bodyguards and six dogs were making such a commotion when they spotted that crown prince that they were all rushing through the narrow path of the forest to guard the prince.
Xing, the leader of the "red shadow guard" narrows his eyes and quickens his horse to speed in front of the rest, as among the others, he has the best horse and of course far behind "White Snow".
Xing is about twenty- three years old and he is more than a bodyguard for the crown prince, they practically grew up together, this is because Xing's family comes from a military background and at the age of fifteen, after some fierce competition, he was selected to guard the crown prince which was a great honor. Thus, Xing lives in the palace and he organized the guards around the crown prince. Although, he knew the skill of his master that not many people will be a match for his master still the safety of his master is in his hand.
Thus, with cold sweat on Xing's back, the horse gallops fiercely till he reaches where Wei Ying is looking at the wild dog with folded arms and then he looks at the sweat beads on Xing's forehead.
Xing hurriedly got off the horse and came forward with a bow
"Wang....." Xing calls Prince Wei Ying, it is because it is outside and they knew each other more than the rest and so the word "Da Wang Ye" was often cut short.
Wei Ying lifted his brow and saw the anxiousness on the face of Xing, a person whom he considered more like a friend than a subordinate and he laugh lightly
"Need to be so worried......" Wei Ying asks with a cynical look.
Xing was a little breathless and he blinks his big eyes
"Yes....Wang, have mercy on my small heart, ....." Xing really speaks his mind.
Wei Ying laughs and pats his shoulder
"How many people can match me......." Wei Ying is a very self-assured person, born with noble pride, and looks at Xing.
Xing can only flatten his lips and gives him a bitter smile plus a hard nod
"Yes, Wang is right....." Xing looks at his handsome prince and he is slightly speechless in his mind
"I know you are good, but still that is my job...."
Then, the rest of the red shadow guards chased up and the loud commotion makes the young prince squints his eyes and looks at them with a look of indifference which makes the red shadow guards who are all well-trained martial artist trembles with fear
"Our apology Crown Wang....." the twenty over guards all bow their heads, as no one dares to look at the crown prince but they peek at their leaders, hoping for some mercy.
Xing joins the red shadow guards and bows his head too.
Everyone knew that the crown prince always have a slight preference treatment for Xing.
However, the crown prince suddenly gives them a "Jianghu" laughs
"Rise, how many have you guys got?" Wei Ying asks with sternness
The reason is, the purpose of today's hunting is to look for good hunting goods for the orphanage, Wei Ying has already shot twenty animals and he left a signal for them to collect but still, the red shadow guards also have to do their part.
"Sir, our skills are not as good and all together, there are only 60," Xing told the prince but in his heart
"We spend all the time chasing you ma" however, if you value your heart, you better not speak out the words in your heart
Wei Ying wanted to say something but there was a signal from the palace through the smoke in the air.
Everyone knows the signal, it is from the palace and especially the crown prince because of the multi-colored smoke that signifies his nobleness and importance.
"Wang....majesty wants you back..." Xing told Wei Ying
Wei Ying frowns and deep in his heart, he knew it most likely be his mother who always worries when he goes hunting
"Mm" Wei Ying hummed
Then he gives instructions to his bodyguards
"Six of you pack the goods into the cart and sent it to the other three orphanages," Wei Ying told Xing who then points at the men
"you, you, you ........"
"Pack the goods....."
After seeing that his men are working, Wei Ying then turns his head to ask Xing
"Why such urgency, is there anything happening in the palace that I am not aware of....." Wei Ying is not too happy as he looks at the signal because he hasn't had enough fun yet but he knew that he must obey lest his mother got worried
Xing hesitated and then back half a step..
"T-This, this....." Xing was a little afraid to speak
Wei Ying got impatience and asks
"Don't this and that, tell me!" straight instructions and Xing had to obey
Xing bows his head and speaks only to Wei Ying
"I heard they are discussing your marriage..." Xing told Wei Ying
Wei Ying froze......
