You stepped down the path, winding and curving, holding a basket of sweets and flowers. The graveyard was up ahead, the church of XD looming like an ominous gate, separating you from your dead, taunting you. The graveyard sat on a lonely small hill, sloped ever so slightly.
You reached the cemetery, slowing down at a specific grave. The grave was empty, no one had visited it in a while, but since it was the anniversary of his death, you figured you'd visit with some pie and cornflowers.
You set the pie tin down on his gravestone, along with the bouquet of blue cornflowers, praying to XD for a moment, before leaving.
You didn't notice the man in a large brown trench coat tailing you out of the graveyard.
