YOU.

——-     So much went wrong in such a short amount of time.

The second Y/n asked her question, three wind spirits, or at least, what Y/n thought were wind spirits, flew into the room.

They each were wearing the same white tunic with several golden cords wrapped around their bodies, mainly at their waists, along with bows strapped on their backs and quivers at their hips. One had dark hair, the other was a red-head, and the last was blonde. They were barefoot, and were carrying trays of food, drinks, and towels.

Cal jumped in excitement when he saw them, and Leo and Y/n jumped in surprise, leaping up to their feet.

"Sisters!" Cal exclaimed. The three all spoke at once, flying around him in a blur, giving Cal cans of Pepsi, bags of chips, and the brunette used her towels to dry off the sweat the Boread had worked up from his exciting game. Gross.

Once they were done, they moved onto their next victims. "Guests!" The blonde yelped, flying over to the two. Y/n reached for her sword, when the brunette swiped it away.

"Hey!" Y/n yelled, trying to get it back.

"Don't worry," the woman placed the sword in the tan bag she had hanging from her shoulder, "just for safe keeping."

The red-head began handing different types of snacks to Leo, and the blonde tried to serve Y/n champagne, which she refused.

"Who are you?" Leo asked, as he began eating a bag of Cheetos. Y/n tried to stop him out of fear of it being poisoned, but he insisted, saying he 'hadn't eaten since yesterday'.

"We are the Hyperborean Maidens." The blonde answered.

"The nymph daughters of King Boreas." The red-head added on.

The brunette switched out the towels, stuffing them in her bag, and pulled out a long curtain with two 7 foot tall, golden poles attached at each end, using it as a divider between Y/n and Leo.

"We used to work for Lady Artemis, but since she is unavailable at the moment, we've returned to our father's care, and work for him as valet's until Lady Artemis is back. We'll take care of you." She smiled, and her dark skin glowed in the light reflecting off the ice.

"I am Hekaerge, and these are my sisters, Loxo," the brunette, Hekaerge, motioned to the red-head, "and this is Oupis." She pointed to the blonde, who had began tugging at Y/n's clothes.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Y/n asked, flustered.

"These are all covered in oil, and all tattered. They need to be repaired, or at least replaced." Oupis explained.

"I'll be fine, now knock it off!" She swatted at her tan hand, pushing it away from the hem of her shirt. A blush covered her face.

"Fine, change yourself. I won't bother you." Oupis covered her eyes with one hand, and held out new clothes with the other. Where they'd come from? Y/n had no clue.

In her right hand sat a tightly fit f/c dress with thin straps, along with black tights, black heels, and a black fur coat that Y/n suspected was made of real fur.

"Seriously, I don't need a change of clothes, I can buy some later — "

"You don't like the outfit I picked for you?" Oupis lowered her hand and looked at Y/n with a frown, obviously upset with the girl. "But you'd look so adorable..."

The blonde maiden gave Y/n one of the worst pairs of puppy-dog eyes she'd ever seen, and eventually gave in. She grabbed the dress.

"Fine. But why a dress? It's winter." She gave in. She'd just find something to change into later. Besides, a dress wasn't the end of the world. So what if she had to fight in it. It looked like it'd cling around her legs well enough to keep it in place if she were ever hanging upside down.

"It's exactly what a beautiful young lady should wear! It's gorgeous, isn't it? Totally designer brand! It'll get all the boy's and girl's attention." She grinned, and leaned over to meet Y/n's level, using her free hand to point her finger to the curtain cutting the two off. "Even his."

Y/n scowled, embarrassed.

"Okay, enough. But I'm only taking the dress. The heels and tights are overkill, and I think Piper would have a heart attack if she saw that coat." Y/n crossed her arms, dress in hand.

Oupis sighed. "Alright, if you say so. Even though you'd look elegant."

Oupis set the rest down on the floor, and stood back up, with her hands resting on her lap.

Y/n just looked back.

"A little privacy?"

"Oh! Apologies." Oupis turned around and faced the staircase where her friends had gone. Y/n stood on her tippie-toes to check if her friends were coming back out.

It would be totally embarrassing if they saw her in her bra.

As fast as she could, she stripped, and threw the dress on. It took 5 seconds flat.

"So, can you, like, summon whatever clothes you want?" Y/n asked, as Oupis turned back around.

"I was right! You look stunning." She grinned, looking at Y/n, poking and pulling at the dress to make sure it fit right. Y/n swatted her hand away again.

"So? Can you?"

"Oh, yes! What is it you'd like, dear?" Oupis rested a hand on her tan cheek.

"Can you get me a jacket? I don't like these spaghetti straps all that much." She elaborated.

Oupis sighed. "Well alright, here you go." In a second, a nice, dark winter jacket appeared in her hand. Y/n smiled and took it, putting it on, leaving it unzipped.

"Nice." Oupis also had a beautiful pearl necklace with a little arrow charm in her palm. Once Y/n had put the jacket on, she spun the girl around, and put the necklace on.

"Such a stunning young woman. Here you are. These will bring out your eyes." She clasped the necklace on, and even did Y/n's hair quickly, putting it up into a (hairstyle of choice).

Y/n smiled at Oupis. "Thank you. You're very kind."

"Oh, not to worry, dear. It's my job. And you'll need it." She grinned, and picked up Y/n's discarded clothes, making them disappear.

"You ever need something, give me a holler. Enjoy your stay!" Oupis poofed into a smoke cloud at that, and was gone. Y/n saw the same smoke emit from the other side of the curtain, signaling Loxo's departure.

Right when Oupis was gone, an idea sparked in Y/n's head. "Wait! If you can poof me the coat can I have something that isn't a really short dress — " she began, but was quickly cut off when Hekaerge grabbed the gold pole in front of her, pulled on it, and grabbed the other pole with the same hand when it flew at her. She tucked the curtain into her bag.

"Have a nice stay you two! See you around." She announced before handing Y/n her sword, which had reverted back into a dagger, and poofed like her sisters before her.

"Wait! — " Y/n began, and sighed when they were all gone. She looked and saw that Cal was still watching his shows, unfazed by anything that just happened.

"Woah." Y/n heard from behind her. She turned around to see Leo, who was wearing a simple, white, collared shirt, black slacks and a black tie, with his tool belt at his hips. His hair was untouched, and he still wore his dirty sneakers. His face was slightly red, and the oil and grime had all been cleaned off from his face and hair.

"You look... good." He said.

Y/n chuckled nervously. "Thanks," she said. "I just wish I got something... warmer."

"Well it makes sense. This is a... rich people hotel — it's what everyone in that parking lot was wearing." Leo explained.

Y/n nodded her head, "Makes sense. You should've seen the fur coat she tried to put me in, Piper would've had a stroke."

Leo laughed, "Yeah, Loxo tried to get me to do my hair and wear a vest and jacket. A vest. Can you even imagine me in a vest?" He joked, and Y/n laughed along.

She placed her dagger in the coat pocket, and walked up to Leo. His face was still slightly red, and she reached out, and stuck her hand in the Cheeto bag he was still holding, and took some of his snack. "And for the record, you look very handsome, Valdez."

He became flustered, and stuttered over his words as she walked back over to where Festus the suitcase was, leaning against it.

"Should we turn him back on?" Y/n asked, referring to the dragon.

Leo regained his composure, and turned to look at the girl. "Yeah, probably. Don't want his systems to get frosted." He walked over and Y/n stood back up, taking a step back.

Leo crouched down, trying to find the switch, and flicked it in when he did. Him and Y/n took several steps back to give him space.

Y/n looked back over to the Boread, who was now somehow asleep at the chair, covered in snack wrappers and pop cans. Y/n envied him.

At the sound of creaking metal, Y/n and Leo watched as Festus returned to his normal self, blowing steam and using his fire to defrost himself.

Just then, the doors behind them opened, and Piper, Jason, Zethes, and Khione piled out of the room in the back, walking down the stairs. Cal immediately woke up, tossed his trash to the side, and turned the tv off. He walked up to Leo and Y/n, standing a little too close for comfort.

They all looked at the two who had suddenly looked like the wealthy guests who stayed here at the hotel.

"I see you met our sisters, haven't you?" Zethes asked, chuckling. The two looked at each other, and sighed. Those three were stressful.

Then, Khione turned to Piper, "You may have fooled my father, girl, but you have not fooled me. We are not done. And you, Jason, Grace, I will see you as a statue in the throne room soon enough." She threatened.

"Boreas is right," Jason said, "you're a spoiled kid. See you around, ice princess."

Her eyes flashed pure white, and she stormed back up the stairs, turning into a blizzard half way up, and disappearing.

"Be careful. My sister never forgets an insult." Zethes added.

"Bad sister." Cal agreed.

"She's the goddess of snow, what's she gonna do? Throw snowballs at us?" Jason teased.

Leo furrowed his eyebrows, "What happened up there? You guys okay?"

"It's a long story." Piper admitted. "What about you two? What happened?"

Y/n sighed. "It's a long story."

"Be careful, pretty girl. The winds between here and Chicago are bad-tempered. Many other evil things stirring. I'm sorry you will not be staying. You and your other pretty girl-friend would make such nice statues. One's I could look at my reflection in." Zethes concluded.

"What a narcissus." Y/n muttered.

"Thanks," Piper began, "but I think I'd rather play hockey with Cal."

"Hockey?" Cal's eyes lit up.

"Joking. And the storm spirits aren't our worst problem, are they?" Piper asked Zethes.

"Oh no. Something else. Something worse."

"Worse!" Cal echoed.

Piper smiled at the two, "Can you tell me?"

Unfortunately, the charm didn't work. The two shook their heads, "Ask Aeolus what is worse. He knows. Good luck." Zethes added as the hangar doors flew open.

Cal walked up behind both Y/n and Leo, placing a hand on each other their shoulders. "Don't get destroyed. Next time — hockey. Pizza." He said. Y/n nodded uneasily.

"You bet, buddy."

"Come on, guys." Jason looked up into the night sky. "Let's go to Chicago and try not to get destroyed."

"Good idea." Y/n smirked.

The four climbed into Festus in the same order as before, and Leo guided them up into the night sky, while Zethes and Cal watched them go.

"So, what's up with the outfits?" Piper asked.

Leo groaned.

"Cal and Zethes's sisters — some nymphs, came up and said they were 'working as valet's', until Artemis is back? Or, something like that." Y/n began.

"Yeah, and then they practically forced us into these clothes. They told me my clothes were ruined with oil and stuff, and that I smelled bad! What jerks." Leo finished.

"Really?" Y/n questioned. "Oupis told me I was a 'stunning young woman'. She was super nice."

"Yes, dude! Loxo was kinda... mean. Tried to make me wear a vest. A vest!" He complained. "And now I have to wear a freaking tie... like are you kidding me?! This not who I am." Leo whined.

"Yeah, well, Oupis tried to force me into heels and a fur coat! I would've looked like an idiot. And now I have to wear this dress in winter. At least you're warm."

"Hey! You have that giant winter coat! All I have is this stupid dress shirt! And Festus is keeping you warm so you don't even have to worry about it."

"Yeah whatever. I'm changing out of this as fast as possible. Except for the coat. It's actually very warm." Y/n snuggled up in the jacket.

"And you're wearing pearls. I wonder if they're real?" Piper said.

"I have no idea. But Oupis practically guilt tripped me into wearing this." She groaned slightly.

"And what about you guys?" Leo asked, looking back to Piper and Jason.

"Just a lot of talking. Piper was amazing though." Jason added.

Piper then said something in French, which was a skill Y/n didn't know she had. Jason then explained what had happened with Boreas. Y/n had a feeling he left a few things out, though.

She thought back to everything that happened. Specifically the 'Leo smelling like fire' thing. She wondered what they meant, but brushed it off. Leo was obviously hiding something, but if he didn't want to talk about it, she wouldn't make him.

Considering that Leo had passed around sandwiches, Y/n figured that leaving the topic alone was payment enough for his contribution to the team, a.k.a, sandwiches.

The moon hung above overhead, and Y/n felt her eyes get heavy. She hadn't slept at all last night, and now that they were back out on the open road, (sky), the tiredness washed over her. She fell forward, landing on Leo's back, and fell fast asleep.

unedited.

a/n: if you identify as male or don't wanna wear a dress you can imagine and form of clothing, the point is just that it's rich and fancy :)
