Wei Ying's POV

Wen Ning followed me closely to not be left behind. It happened once and ever since he tried to memorize the way we walked to enter Wang Ji's beautiful garden but he soon had to accept that we never took the same path twice. How this was possible? Because once the right path was walked successfully, the walls moved, and soon a new one was created.

I didn't realize it at first but after so many years, it was only natural for me to understand how this labyrinth worked. One would only find out if they had taken the right path once. But no one was able to do that except me....

I had no reason to reveal the truth. It was Wang Ji's and my little secret.

Soon we left the labyrinth and entered Wang Ji's garden. Long before we did, I heard a piece of beautiful calming music and knew that Wang Ji was playing his zither again. The melody was beautiful but it sounded quite sad. I followed the tunes and soon arrived where Wang Ji sat on the green grass with his back facing me.

I knew he knew I was here because suddenly the melody changed and it sounded a lot different. The sadness was gone and was replaced by the feeling of warmth, happiness, and, most importantly, love. I couldn't help but smile as I approached him. He did not once stop playing, not even when I sat down next to him and leaned my head on his broad shoulder. He tilted his head and soon I felt his cheek on my forehead.

"What made you upset?" I asked him softly as I watched his fingers glide over the strings.

"My father." He answered quietly.

"I saw him standing in front of your palace with yet another beautiful lady...."

"Not beautiful."

I chuckled. "You know her?"

"I saw her a few times when she attended together with her father but I don't know her. I don't see any reason to look at someone who is not you."

"You sure know how to flirt." I didn't even try to hide my blushing face. "Do you think I am beautiful then?"

"Compared to a mortal, you are the most beautiful one I have ever seen."

"So that means I am not beautiful when compared to immortals?" I frowned at him but more in amusement than in anger.

"You are beautiful even for an immortal."

"But not as beautiful as the immortal woman here." I pouted and Wang Ji stopped playing. He turned to me and held my face gently in his hands.

"No one can compare to you. Whereas you might not look as beautiful as them, your inner beauty shines brighter than everyone else's. Looks are not important when it comes to feelings. Wei Ying. No one ever had me as spellbound as you." He said as his thumb gently stroked over my lips.

"I spellbound you?" I asked him and smiled seeing his aura turn into a soft red, getting more intense the longer we looked at each other. I reached for him, wrapped my arms around his neck, and hid my face in the crook of it. I took in the sweet and woody scent of sandalwood which was part of him.

We stayed like this for quite some time. It felt so good to smell him, to feel him, to be with him.

Wang Ji's lips met my neck and softly brushed against it, making me shiver. I leaned back a bit and looked into his eyes before moving closer and letting my nose nudge his, his eyes never leaving those of mine.

The air around us turned tense as we stared at each other, waiting for the other to take the first step. It was like a battle where there was no loser. No matter who would give in, at the end of the day, both would get what they wanted, what they needed.

"Wei Ying...." Wang Ji whispered my name ever so softly making me so weak that I would surely have given in first if not for the loud splash that sounded louder than any scream I ever heard.

I let go of Wang Ji and got up. I knew that not only I was disappointed that the spell was broken just like this. Wang Ji got up as well and together we walked towards the crime scene which happened to be not far from the spot we just sat.

The splash was caused by Wen Ning who fell into the pond. Seeing the scenario in front of me it was crystal clear that that only happened due to the hundreds of bunnies who were currently surrounding the pond, seemingly waiting for Wen Ning to come out again.

"Wen Ning, are you okay?" I asked him worriedly and amused at the same time. He looked up at me, blushed, and tried to get up without losing his balance.

"I am sorry, Your Highness. I didn't want to disturb you...." He apologized with a bow.

"It's okay." I chuckled and pointed at the bunnies. Some of them lost interest in Wen Ning and hopped toward me while most of the others didn't stop staring at my friend who seemed to feel helpless and confused.

"It's mating time." Wang Ji said and I smiled.

"But why are they so fixed at Wen Ning?"

"They think of him as one of them."

"Because he is cute?"

Wang Ji smiled. "I am more referring to his innocence." Wang Ji looked at the ground in front of us. "Just like you."

A few bunnies were trying to jump on me until Wang Ji hushed them away.

"Wen Ning, come out or you will catch a cold," I told him but he looked unsure.

"But the bunnies..." He pouted.

"Tell them who the boss is, Wen Ning." I said and laughed while Wang Ji shook his head in amusement before hushing all the bunnies away. I help the wet Wen Ning out of the pond and was about to suggest for we go home to change his garments when out of nowhere they were dry.

I looked at Wang Ji who took my hand in his. "That way you won't leave, will you?"

"I will let you both alone, Your Highness's." Wen Ning bowed and walked away. His cheeks were rosy pink and it amused me to see him being embarrassed.

"What else can you do?" I asked him curiously. I was never truly interested in the spiritual powers or any skills an immortal had. It wasn't very important so I never thought nor asked anybody about them. But with Wang Ji it was different. I wanted to know everything about him, every little detail.

"The blueish shimmer I see around walls sometimes makes sure no one hears what happened in the room, doesn't it?" I asked him, referring to the time I was mourning my daughter or the night two days ago.

He raised his brows. "You can see them?"

"Am I... not supposed to see it?" I asked back in confusion.

"Not many mortals can see the spiritual power of an immortal." He answered and gave me a meaningful smile. "And to answer your question, yes, the bluish shimmer made the room soundproof." I blushed and had to look away from him. Not for long though, as Wang Ji gently moved my face back to him, pecking my lips very softly.

This one soft peck was enough to make me crave for more so I pulled his head down and pressed my lips against his, parting them immediately in hopes he would follow the invitation. I didn't have to ask him twice. His tongue slipped past my lips and soon danced together with mine, his hands on my back pulling me closer, pressing me against his strong body.

I moaned into his mouth and clung to him as if my life depended on it. Only when my lips were so swollen that I barely felt them, did we let go of each other.

"Wei Ying..." He called me slightly out of breath. I looked at him, waiting for him to say what he wanted to, my eyes not leaving his swollen lips. Not until I heard his next words. "Let's go on a date."

I widened my eyes in surprise and met his gaze. "A date?" I repeated his words and suddenly felt excited. Like a child who would get his first candy in a while. "You mean, leaving the palace? Going out to have fun? Just the two of us?"

"Mhn."

"I would love to!" I answered with a bright smile. "I seldom leave the palace and I've never been on a date before. When are we going?"

"How about now?" He smiled seeing me nodding enthusiastically. I couldn't wait.

"Where to?" I wanted to know but he answered by kissing my forehead.

"It's a surprise. Here, hold my hand tightly."

I wasn't sure what would happen next but it didn't matter because I trusted Wang Ji with everything I had, even with my life.

"Are you ready?" He asked softly and I held his hand tighter, trying to hide my excitement.

"Ready when you are."

"Then close your eyes...."

I followed his plea and soon felt a very weird tingling in my stomach. My whole body tensed up for a split second before everything went back to normal, except that I felt a little nauseous. I held my stomach with my free hand and took in a few deep breaths until the feeling was gone.

"Are you okay?" I heard Wang Ji's worried voice right next to my ear, sending shivers down my spine.

"Just a little sick..." I answered honestly.

"It will go away soon." His lips brushed against my cheeks. "Open your eyes."

I opened them and carefully looked around. I was confused for a moment because everything looked so different, yet quite familiar. There were a lot of people walking around. Families with their kids, couples, and single persons. It took me a while to understand why everything looked familiar.

"It has been years..." I mumbled in astonishment and held Wang Ji's hand tighter as I watched the people around me doing the most normal things. Running around, laughing, messing around, chatting, eating. Everything was so normal, unlike the immortal realm where everything was always calm and everyone treated each other politely while keeping a reasonable distance. At least in the heavenly realm.

"Today is the autumn festival. It is only celebrated in the mortal realm and when I was a child I heard a lot about it. It was my wish to attend this festival and my mother took me and my brother here when I was 600 years old. This was the place where I got my first bunch of bunnies. I always wanted to come back here but I lost interest as my mother died soon after my first visit." Wang Ji explained and I nodded.

"I never attended one before because I was too occupied with studying medicine back then. My grandmother too wasn't interested as her sole interest was to make me happy and she did so until the day she died. Albeit I never attended one, I was always curious as to why people loved this festival so much. I guess I will find out today." I smiled.

"Mhn. Let's find out together."

"You were here once, how about you lead me around?"

"That was thousands of years ago. A lot of things changed since then but ..." He led my hand to his lips and kissed them softly. "... I will make this day an unforgettable one for you."

"How?" I wanted to know and tried to not stare at my hand at his lips.

"I have a surprise for you. I will give it to you later but for now...." He pulled me into his arms and held me tightly. "... it's only about the two of us."

I blushed and looked around. "People will see..." I tried to push him away but rather halfheartedly as I couldn't bear to part with him for too long. When did I become so addicted to his presence?

"No one knows us here. Even if a few immortals see the two of us, it doesn't matter because they won't be able to recognize us. Trust me, Wei Ying." His face was dangerously close to mine and I had to pull myself together to not pull him into a passionate kiss.

'Later....' I promised myself as I smiled up at Wang Ji. "Let's have fun then."

"Mhn. Let's have fun."

Dating was new to us so we might have been a little clumsy at first, trying to mimic other couples. At some point, we both found it annoying and just did what he wanted because all that mattered was that we had fun.

There was one thing I thought was a little annoying. Maybe more than a little. I forgot how handsome Wang Ji was and so I wasn't happy with all the attention he got from women around us. I just smiled trying to not show my annoyance because I didn't want to ruin the mood but I guessed Wang Ji still noticed it as he took my hand and led it to his lips. He looked at me in a way that made my legs weak and I could barely breathe.

I couldn't fight off the urge anymore and pulled him in for a kiss. It was passionate yet still not satisfying enough for me. But I promised myself that once Wang Ji and I were alone, I would surely take him in every way possible. My thoughts, as well as myself, being so possessive when it came to Wang Ji scared me more than I wanted to admit.

Once the people around us lost interest we went back to having fun. There were so many attractions. For example, we went to a store where we could make our own clay figures. I made one of Wang Ji and Wang Ji made one of me, we went from store to store and almost bought something everywhere. Everything we bought happened to disappear from Wang Ji's hands the moment we approached a new store. I didn't have to ask what happened to them. I just hope that no one would enter my room without my permission.

We also visited every food stand and tried every food that was offered. So many delicious things... probably not the healthiest but it tasted amazing. We played many games such as solving riddles, coloring lanterns, fishing, and archery. I was very good at fishing while the riddles and Archery were more Wang Ji's expertise.

Time passed by quickly. Soon the sun went down and was replaced by the moon. I never had as much fun as today. I didn't want the day to be over but unfortunately, no one could influence time.

"Wei Ying, are you ready for your surprise?" Wang suddenly asked me.

"I am not sure the day can be even better than it already is." I smiled trying to hide my childlike excitement.

"We will see about that. Come with me." He held up his hand and I reached for it, holding it as tight as I could without hurting him. He then walked ahead and all I had to do was follow him. We were not the only ones taking this path. A lot of people hurried up to go where Wang Ji probably was headed as well.

I looked up at the sky. The stars were shining brightly and the moon functioned as a lantern. Not that we needed it as we passed many lanterns along the way. Soon we arrived and I saw a huge crowd in front of us. I didn't like crowds and neither did Wang Ji so I was confused about what his intention was.

The people in front of us were watching in the same direction. No one looked at us making Wang Ji bold enough to use his power to let us float above the heads of everyone towards an empty balcony of a house.

"Wang Ji, that was risky." I reprimanded him but couldn't help but admit to myself that floating was fun.

"No one saw." He stood behind me, hugged me, and nudged my cheeks with his nose.

"But only because everyone is busy waiting for something. What are we doing here? Where is my surprise?"

"Soon." He chuckled and I suppressed a pout. "Wei Ying, do you remember about the different passage of time here in the mortal realm?" He asked silently, his lips close to my right ear.

"One month here is one day in the immortal realm, right?"

"Mhn." He nodded making his lips brush against the shell of my ear. I let out a sigh. "So don't be too shocked about what you will see."

"Shocked about what?" I asked him but before I could receive an answer, I heard the crowd below us cheer. Everyone was looking up towards another balcony, one that was even higher than the one Wang Ji and I were standing at. I followed their eyes and saw many people standing on that certain balcony. An elderly couple in their late fifties, a woman in her late teens, and three men around the age of 30, each one of them having a woman on their side who must have been their wife. There were a few little boys and one infant which was carried by the elderly woman. Everyone was smiling and waving at the crowd below.

I immediately understood Wang Ji's surprise once I saw the elderly woman. Yes, she was old, older than me by now, but I wouldn't be a good father if wouldn't been able to recognize my oldest daughter.

"Hanna...." I whispered her name.

I parted from Wang Ji and approached the railing to have a better look at her. She might have been older now but she looked as beautiful as ever. She was smiling brightly while holding the infant in her arms. Her garments looked quite expensive just like the garments of the elderly man next to her who had his arms around my daughter's waist while waving to the crowd.

"She married the emperor many years ago and they had 4 children, three sons, and one daughter. Their sons, your grandsons, each got married a couple of years ago and have their own children by now. Meaning you are a great grandfather already. The infant in Hanna's arms is your only great-granddaughter." Wang Ji told me while I couldn't look away from Hanna. Her aura was shining so brightly and it proved how happy she was. Actually, none of the people above me was unhappy.

"Your granddaughter became 18 a few weeks ago and is supposed to get married to a prince from another country in a couple of weeks. Usually, it is custom for the daughter to move to her husband's family but in this case, because your granddaughter doesn't want to leave, the prince, out of love for her, agreed to move from his country to here."

"Seeing Hanna so happy.... It proves that I have done everything right. From giving birth to her, to raise and lastly to fulfill her wish and letting her leave home to find happiness and start her own family. I have done everything right."

Wang Ji hugged me from behind as tightly as he could without hurting me. "Yes, you did. Everything you ever did was right, Wei Ying. Not once have you made a wrong decision."

I turned around and hid my face in his broad chest, my hands slowly roaming up and down his back. "Wang Ji...."

"Mhn. I am here."

"Thank you for letting me see her and her family. Thank you for letting me see how loved and happy she is. Thank you, Wang Ji."

"This is not only her family but yours too." He answered and let his hand comb through my hair multiple times. "Do you want to meet her?"

I shook my head. "She came here to live a normal life. Seeing her father being much younger than herself, you can't call that normal, can you? I also don't want her to know about Lan Huan and me. She will know something is up. I want her to be like she is right now. Happy and loved. No need to disturb her life like this. It's enough to have seen her."

"Alright."

I freed myself from Wang Ji and looked back once more. Each person on the other balcony beamed with happiness and that is all I cared for. I turned back to Wang Ji.

"Wang Ji..."

"Mhn?" He tilted his head and waited for what I wanted to say. But instead of saying something I just pulled him into a kiss. I pushed him against the wall and poured all my feelings into this one kiss. It was a passionate one, hot and wet at the same time. My hands were on his chest, pushing him harder against the wall. I pressed myself against him, wanting to be even closer to him. His hands wrapped around my back, pulling me so close that there was no space between us left.

He reciprocated the kiss while at the same time letting me lead it, letting me dominate him, letting me do whatever I wanted.

We were unaware of how much time passed and only stopped when the first raindrops fell from the sky hitting our bodies. We let go of each other, yet were not able to move much more. I wanted him close to me, even walking alongside next to him was not enough anymore. I touched his cheeks as I stared into his golden eyes which told me that he felt the same.

Soon the rain become stronger and our garments were drenched.

"We should go back." He whispered unwillingly.

I shook my head. "Not yet. I don't want to go back yet."

"Then...?"

"Time is running slow in the immortal realm. We won't be missed so let's look for a shelter and stay longer." I suggested and Wang Ji, who was as unwillingly to go back as I, nodded before picking me up and carrying me through the rain. It was in the middle of the night, the festival was over and no human soul was to be seen. Not that I pay much attention to that as my eyes solely focused on Wang Ji.

As it was late in the night we couldn't knock on anyone's door so we ended up seeking shelter in the nearby Tempel. Every candle was lit, showing us the way inside. We saw no one, not even the monks, which was understandable considering the time.

I looked around and was amazed by the beauty. The warmness of the Tempel was driving out the coldness we brought outside.

"Wei Ying, we should take off the garments and let them dry." Wang Ji suggested and I looked at him.

"Aren't you scared the gods may be watching?" I wanted to know.

"I am sure the gods have better things to do and watch the two of us getting rid of our wet clothes. Even if, they will understand that we are only drying out garments."

I knew he was right so I followed his suggestion, took off every piece of clothing I wore, and put them aside to let them dry. I tried not to look towards the huge statue of the goddess not far from me. Running around naked in a holy Tempel was disrespectful but we had no other choice so I bowed to her and apologized inwardly for my disrespect.

When I turned to Wang Ji I noticed that he too got rid of his clothing and was now sitting near the candles on a blanket he must have found somewhere. Seeing his nakedness made me blush and think of many inappropriate things. Realizing that, I turned back to the statue and apologized once again.

"Wei Ying, come here." He waved me over and patted the spot on the blanket next to him. "It's warm over here." I am sure he meant the candles yet my mind was telling me something else.

I approached him and the closer I got, the more I had the urge to continue where he had left. When I almost reached him I caught his eyes wandering down my body. He did so unconsciously and very slowly making my body shiver in anticipation.

"Wei Ying..." He called me in a whisper tone when I sat down next to him. "Are you cold?"

"I am," I answered and watched him taking my hand and moving them to his lips. Blowing into them he tried to warm me up. It was a simple, innocent gesture yet it made me feel so many things at once.

"Better?" He asked me worriedly. I gulped and observed him for a while how he blew warm air onto my hands until I couldn't take it anymore.

"Wang Ji..." I called his name pleadingly. At least it was supposed to sound like this yet it was rather a moan than anything else. Wang Ji stopped and turned his head to me instantly. His eyes were dark golden now and I knew he felt it too. The atmosphere and the desire in the air. His aura changed and looked identical to mine.

Before I could stop myself I moved closer to him. I did so slowly, for him to make me stop but he didn't. He stared into my eyes, no, he stared into my soul and I heard a silent growl coming from him. That was enough for me to lose my patience and I kissed him deeply. His hands on my back pulled me closer until I landed in his lap. I could feel his body touching mine. My hands wrapped around his neck and I pulled myself even closer.

Soon my hands run softly over the marks my fingernails left on his back last time. Feeling this Wang Ji nibbled my lips softly and his hands on my back squeezed my skin. I returned this gesture by kissing him deeper and digging my nails softly into the skin on his back.

A growl sounded in the Tempel and Wang Ji sucked my lips hungrily. I was so fixated on the kiss, that I didn't notice his fingers until one of them entered me from behind. My nails dug into the skin of his back in shock and when I felt another digit joining the first one, I stopped the kiss and arched my back, letting out a surprised moan before he pulled me back into the kiss.

One by one, his fingers entered me and moved in and out in a steady rhythm until I held his hand to make him stop. I opened his eyes and looked at him in trance. I signaled him to take them out and Wang Ji did so unwillingly. I smiled and gave him a soft peck on his lips before getting on my knees. Wang Ji watched me intensely and let out another growl when I took his hard manhood and led it to where I wanted it to be.

Wang Ji's hand on my hips helped me move down slowly but I was impatient and held his hand before taking him in one go. I leaned back and took in a deep breath. I felt so full, yet it was still not enough to ease my want for him.

"Are you hurt?" He asked me and I felt him trying to suppress the urge to move. I smiled at him and shook my head.

"You can never hurt me, Wang Ji." I wrapped his arms around his neck. "I know it's inappropriate but.. let me lead, Wang Ji. Just this once... let me-"

"Whatever you want, do it. Take me, lead me. I am at your service, Wei Ying. I belong to you."

I moaned in return for his answer and started to move my hips. I wanted to start things slowly but soon I couldn't stop myself anymore. With my arms wrapping tightly around his neck, my nails digging into his beautiful skin I fastened up. I became faster and faster, yet not fast enough. When it came to Wang Ji, nothing was enough. Nothing would ever be enough and this thought scared me. It scared me, yet I wanted it that way. I needed it.

"Wang Ji..." I called him breathlessly. "I love you, Wang Ji. I love you so much" I confessed to him with words while I showed him my feeling using my body, using our bodies.

I hoped he would understand what I wanted to show him, what I wanted to prove to him. I fell in love with Wang Ji without realizing it, Wang Ji loved me for almost 20 years without me realizing it. I was late, very late.

But now everything would be different. I would make it up for the last 20 years. I would love him with everything I had. I would love him with my heart, I would love him with my soul.

I let out the lewdest sound while moving my hips as fast as I could. For a moment Wang Ji let out a moan and my movements became slower indicating that Wang Ji had come, yet he was still as hard as before. His hands wrapped around my tail and started stroking me, his lips found mine, and soon I was pleasured everywhere.

When I felt I was close I sped up my movements and arched my back so much that it hurts before I came into his hands as well as onto his stomach.

It took a while to breathe normally again. He parted from me and helped me off his lap. Soon we lay next to each other on the blanket. The air had turned hot and it smelled manly. I stroked his cheeks as we stared into each other's eyes and he kissed my hands every now and then.

"I love you, Wang Ji." I needed to say it again. I was determined to tell him that every day from now on.

"I love you so much more, Wei Ying." He kissed my forehead and pulled me into his arms. I cuddled up to him and hugged him tightly. Feeling him next to me and feeling loved, happy, and safe in his arms, I fell asleep.

To be continued...

I am happy for you guys but... a Tempel? That's kind of inappropriate, isn't it? But hey, you two are loved by them so I am sure they will forgive you.

Can we talk about the bunnies' obsession with Wen Ning? This is soo adorable yet I pity our innocent baby a little ^^
