A tapping on the shoulder is what woke Caius from his slumber. He turned over and opened his eyes to see Odette standing with her teddy bear.
"What's wrong principessa?" He asked
"Had a bad dream"
"A bad dream? Oh no. That's not good. Come on. Let's go and get some hot chocolate" he said as he got out of bed and carried his sweet daughter.
Some of the female guards swooned as they saw the ruthless king in a pair of gray joggers, his toned torso on display as he carried the little princess to the kitchens.
He made them both some hot chocolate and sat down with Odette.
"What happened in your bad dream, love?" He asked
"You and papa's ever came back. Mama got really sad and left us alone in the woods with Dustin, but Dustin started being mean."
Caius sighed.
"Sweetheart. That is not ever going to happen. I will never ever let anyone harm you" he said, his voice stern.
"Promise?" She asked and stuck her pinkie out. He smiled and wrapped his pinkie around hers.
"I promise" he smiled.
"Now, drink up. You need to go back to sleep. It's late" he said. She nodded and drank her drink.
Caius carried her to her bedroom and lay beside her, humming an ancient tune that his mother used to sing to him.
Aro smiled at them from the doorway. Caius looked over and smiled.
"Is everything alright?" Aro asked
"She had a nightmare." Caius spoke. Aro walked over and sat beside Caius.
"Is she alright now?"
"She is more than alright" Caius smiled.
"A summer wedding?!" Didymium squealed down the phone at Isadora.
"Yeah. Well, we have been through so much over the past few years, so why not"
"What's the rush?" Sulpicia asked as Isadora nursed Ophelia.
"I don't know. I mean I still have my dress and it still fits. Aro wants an excuse for a ball, Caius wanted to plan something and Marcus constantly talks about how excited he is for me to be a Volturi."
"And you?"
"I love them so much that it actually hurts to be separated from them. I mean marriage is a sacred thing and I want it to be official."
"Awe. That's cute. And Caius has it all planned out?"
"The man has been planning it since we got back to Greece."
"Well we will be there." Didyme beamed. Isadora smiled
"They wouldn't miss it for the world" Caius spoke and walked over.
"Be here by next week for Isadora's bachelorette parties."
"Parties. That's a plural"
"Indeed." Caius replied.
"Who is to watch over Volterra?" Sulpicia asked
"A friend of Aro's. After the honeymoon we will be returning to Volterra." Caius answered. The two girls beamed.
"Thank God! Sully is becoming like you"
"And Didyme is becoming Aro!"
"Alright ladies, I'm going to have to steal Isadora from you all" Caius said and hung up.
"What was that for?"
"I need your opinion on something." He said as Isadora began burping Ophelia.
"What do you need my opinion on?"
"Crowns."
"Crowns?"
"Crowns." Caius confirmed
"Why?" She asked
"Your coronation." He answered. She nodded and handed him Ophelia.
"Burp her while I get dressed. I look gross."
"You look beautiful."
She chuckled and kissed his cheek and went to get dressed.
She grinned as Caius was talking to Ophelia and making faces at her. She walked over and cupped his cheek. He smiled at her.
"Doesn't Mamma look pretty, my little hummingbird?"
"Hummingbird?" Isadora asked as they left the nest
"She hums when you talk to her." Caius explained."
"I never noticed" She shrugged.
Caius smiled as they walked down the hallway. Every coven member was smiling and waving at Isadora. The human workers said hello.
Isadora would be adored as the Queen. Everyone who met her had spoken of how kind and lovely she is.
Caius led her to a chamber that she has never seen before. It was dripping with jewels.
"Woah." She gasped.
"We have rooms like this in every castle." He smirked.
"The one back home in Volterra is my favourite, mainly because it is the biggest." He smiled and showed her around.
"Now, as you know, after the wedding, you will be officially named Queen of Vampires, but as we have never had an official Queen before, you must pick your headwear. Once the prophecy was revealed, I had every Jewler make expensive tiaras in different styles." He spoke and lead her into another room.
Three Jewelled crowns were in the centre of the room. On the left was a diamond crown hat was completed with sapphire accents going around the middle of the crown. She could tell that it belonged to Marcus. He loves royal bule and has it as the colour of his wax seals as well as his accented colour. Each of his clothes has a royal blue label on the back
The middle crown was a silver with rubies around the centre. it was Aro's. She knew this because Aro loves red. He loves staring at his mate's eyes once they are at the perfect shade of red. His wax seals are ruby red, and he always wears a crimson tie.
the third was Caius' His crown was gold and it had Black diamonds and normal diamonds as accents. It was very Caius. Just like with the others, his wax seals are black. Isadora smiled at them.
"I thought that you would have a bit more bling."
"I tried, but Marcus said I should be humble." He snickered.
"Once you are crowed, You will have two crowns. Mainly because I want to spoil you rotten. Here they are."
Isadora gasped as she saw the two crowns.
"Caius. This is too much."
"It is not enough. I will get you anything your heart desires just to see you smile, just so I can show off that the Queen is treated well." He said and kissed her cheek.
"Also, the children will have their own for when they come of age." Caius continued and rocked the baby in his arms.
He then lead them to the gardens where the triplets were running around, playing tag.
"Hi mamma! Papa Caius!" Odette yelled
"Hello sweetheart" Caius waved as felix ran over and picked Isadora up.
"Hi little human!" He yelled.
"Uncle Felix! Put mamma down!" Eugene scolded.
"As you command little prince." Felix dropped Isadora and Aro caught her before she hit the ground.
"You alright, amore?" Aro asked.
"Yeah" She laughed as Aro put her down.
"Caius! Let me see my daughter" Marcus smiled and cradled the girl in his arms then sat down under the tree Eulises, Eugene and Odette ran over to see their little sister.
"She is the cutest" Odette squealed. Marcus smiled.
"Not so loud, dearest. Ophelia still needs her sleep."
"We're we ever that tiny?" Eulises asked. Marcus chuckled.
"No. When you three were born, you were bigger than Ophelia, but that's because you are half vampire." Aro answered and sat down with isadora beside him. Caius walked over and sat on Aro's lap. Enjoying the contact between the two.
Aro kissed Caius' head as Isadora let out a soft purr, happy that her family was back together.
