THE night they shared last week scared both of them. Neither girl knew what it would mean, or what it meant.
To be honest, Bella put her chips on Leighton not even remembering. The singer was so drunk, and so gone. But Bella, Bella was sober. She knew what happened, and she understood the way Leighton made her feel.
It was stressful to Bella, figuring out what to say to Leighton. Should she even bring it up? Or should she just let her hopes die?
However, the next morning, she felt renewed. She was woken up by Leighton placing a soft kiss on her lips and repeating that someone like Bella was too unforgettable to not remember. The girls didn't dive into their emotions, and what they felt for one another. Both considered it was best to leave it all unspoken for now.
Leighton knew she liked Bella, and Bella knew she liked Leighton. It didn't need to be more complicated. The two girls decided they would just vibe for now. They'd be exclusive, but they didn't have to have a set label.
Little did both girls know that the other one wanted a label just as bad.
Privacy was no longer a concern to either girl, the internet finding out about their kiss the morning after. Some snake in the club took a video and posted it all over social media. Leighton was the one who needed privacy, but when she saw how many people loved them together, her worries went away.
Both still wanted to be private about what they were, and what they were doing, but it felt good to know they didn't have to sneak around.
The world actually adored them together. People already fucked with their friendship, but they loved that they were not afraid to take a friendship to another level. People called them hot together, and were already arranging weddings. Social media apps had edits for them, and whatnot, Bella sending some to Leighton occasionally.
Leighton's personal favorite were the comments on Bella's posts saying to break up with me because they needed a good breakup album.
Those ones really showed the insensitivity in people, but Leighton respected them because they liked her art.
"Bells are you sure? I didn't want to stress you by making it a big deal." Leighton spoke, adjusting her sunglasses as she held Bella's hand. The two were walking downtown to a close by coffee shop for some breakfast before they ran some errands.
Their security followed close behind, but both men tried to give the girls as much privacy as possible. Paparazzis were around them, but both girls had become good at zoning them out over the years.
"I want to make it a big deal. This is your first single in forever! Your comeback. You deserve a party. Kendall already said we should use to Palm Springs house." Leighton shook her head, a smile forming as she saw how happy this made Bella.
"Kendall is a party girl."
"I swear I'll plan the whole thing."
"I don't want you stressing baby." Leighton reached for the coffee shop door, opening the first for Bella then walking in behind her. Both of their security stayed outside, giving the girls even more privacy.
Bella grabbed a menu from the counter and walked over to a two person table. "Would you be mad if I said I already had it all planned out?"
"Bell-what?"
"We already were planning something, Fai just said I should ask you before I surprise you. He said you don't really like surprises nor attention, so I didn't want to make you mad." Leighton just smiled as Bella rambled. The singer reached across the small table, holding Bella's hands.
"I'd love for you to throw me a party. I'll act like its a surprise." Bella blushed as Leighton winked at her. Bella nodded softly, playing with the ring on Leighton's pointer finger. "When is this party?"
"That's a surprise."
"Bell I have press-"
"I already ran it past Richie. He said your all free on the day and the day after. He said he knows you love to party." Leighton rolled her eyes at her managers words, but soon smiling at how cute Bella looked.
"I adore you and your love to plan."
Bella lifted Leighton's hand and kissed it gently. Leighton loved the small, little things Bella did. She was so adorable without even trying.
"Hi. Can I get you guys started off with some drinks?" Leighton turned slightly, her eyes meeting waitress'.
"We'll both take iced waters. Do you guys have the pumpkin oat milk latte yet?" Leighton took the lead, speaking for Bella. Bella sat back, admiring her lover. Leighton was so wifey material.
"Yeah we just got it in." The waitress looked a little star-struck, her eyes flickering between the two girls. This coffee spot was a regular spot for Bella, but the model didn't recognize this server. She suspected this girl was new.
"She'll take that. Extra foam. I'll the Blueberry espresso and a bagel with cream cheese. Bell, you want food?"
"I'll just eat some of yours."
"We'll take two bagels." Leighton responded with a smile, making Bella laugh lightly. The waitress took the two menus, her hands shaking as she did so.
"She's new. You can tell." Bella commented, setting her phone on the table.
"You don't recognize her I assume?" Bella nodded. The model knew almost everyone who worked in a coffee shop located in the Beverly Hills area.
"You better finish my bagel. You know I can't eat all of that."
"And you know I'm a master at eating." Bella couldn't help but let her head drop as she blushed. The singer didn't have sexual intentions behind her words, but Bella couldn't help but imagine the scene. "Bell I didn't mean it like that you sick motherfucker."
"You're so cute." Bella was about to go on her phone to check a text, but a flash from the window made her look over. Paparazzi were standing outside of the coffee shop, the girl's security keeping them from entering.
Bella knew how to ignore the paparazzi and move on, but Leighton sealed with it differently. The model could tell the singer was becoming nervous as she sunk down in her chair, putting her hand up in order to block her face. The model leaned forward, and turned her hand sideways connecting it with Leighton's.
The girl's had a 'hand-wall' blocking them now. Leighton looked into Bella's eyes, giggling softly.
"Don't give them what they want." Bella whispered, making Leighton smile. The singer leaned in and placed a soft and short kiss on Bella's lips. "Or do."
"They can't see! Our wall." Leighton sat back, flipping off the cameras as she did so.
"Miss Hadid! What a pleasure!" Leighton turned, looking at the man coming from behind the counter. Bella stood up immediately, a smile on her face as she took the barista in for a hug.
"Georgie! How've you been!"
"Good. Hustling per usual."
"How's the family?" Bella questioned, letting the man go. She sat back down, looking up at Georgie who stood with his hands together. He looked Italian, and not like a barista at all. Leighton decided to stay quiet, like she always did. The girl enjoyed observing, rather than engaging.
The two conversed for a while, Leighton just watching. She loved watching Bella talk. The way her lips moved, and the way her eye lit up when the other person said something interesting.
"This is Leighton Butler." Leighton sat up slightly, waving to the man. Georgie smiled, holding out his hand for Leighton to shake. The Butler girl did just that, making him look to Bella and smirk. She nodded, making him smile. Leighton didn't understand their silent communication at all.
"A Butler! Which one may I ask?"
"The youngest." Leighton said with a smile.
"I had one of your sisters in here the other day. Looked just like you." The man was clearly joking around with Leighton, the girl giggling softly.
"Could've been me. You never know."
"It was Annika. She is incredibly sweet. As is Austin. It seems the whole Butler family is kind."
"We do pride ourselves in that department." Leighton winked at the man making him nod firmly.
"I like her."
BELLA watched as Leighton smoothed over her dress, her eyes scraping over the beautifully designed girl. The model was laying in bed, glasses on, reading a book Leighton suggested. The Hadid girl watched as Leighton dropped her necklace, and bent over to pick it up. The view was amazing and consuming.
Leighton knew what dresses worked for her. All dresses worked for her. She had that picture-perfect body that worked skin-tight dresses perfectly.
Bella set down her book, and swung her legs out from under the brown blanket she was laying under. The scent of Leighton filled the room due to the girl taking a shower in Bella's bathroom and the perfume she sprayed.
"Let me help." Bella's voice was soft in Leighton's ear, the singer shivering as the model placed her gentle hands on her shoulders. Leighton tilted her neck softly, reaching back and moving her long hair. Bella took the necklace in her hand, and wrapped it around her lover's neck, making sure the clasp was sealed.
Leighton's neck was still tilted to the side, her neck exposed, as Bella looked into the mirror. The model took this opportunity to place three soft kisses on Leighton's neck muscle. The singer looked up into the mirror, her eyes meeting Bella's.
"Thank you baby." Bella loved when Leighton called her baby. It was so intimate. Leighton only called Bella baby. It made the model feel so special.
Bella let her hands rest on Leighton's hips, her chin sitting on the brunette's toned shoulder.
"You look so good. I'm speechless my love."
"But you're talking. So clearly not speechless."
"Smart ass."
"You love this ass fuck you mean?" Bella let her hands sink down to Leighton's butt, grabbing it slightly as the singer giggling.
"You're so right."
"You sure you don't want me to drive you there?" Bella questioned, turning Leighton in her arms. Leighton was an inch shorter than Bella, looking up at the girl slightly.
"I'll be okay. It's right down the road."
Leighton was going to her father's house for dinner tonight. The Butler family tried to dinner every month, but their schedules had been so crazy lately that they hadn't seen each other together in three months.
"Drive safe. Text me when you get there. Text me if you drink and need a ride home." Leighton rested her hands on Bella's shoulders, her hands tangling in the model's long, gorgeous hair. The Butler girl adored how much Bella cared. The model didn't hide her affection and it made Leighton fall quicker.
"I will. I think it stopped raining-" Just as Leighton said that, a beam of lighting illuminated Bella's large backyard, making the singer laugh. "I'll be safe."
"Okay." Leighton leaned forward, pecking Bella's lips softly. "You're so beautiful Leigh." Leighton didn't say anything, but rather kissed Bella again. Leighton thought sweet compliments like that deserved a little action, so the singer allowed Bella to get sloppy with it. The model let her hands roam free, squeezing Leighton's ass.
Bella tore her lips from Leighton's, and placed a series of passionate and wet kisses down her neck. Leighton groaned softly, her hands entangling in Bella's hair once more.
"Baby you're going to mess up my hair." Bella chuckled to herself softly, removing her head from the crook of Leighton's neck.
"We wouldn't want that." Bella spoke, making Leighton smile. The singer lifted her hands and adjusted Bella's cute glasses.
"I'll be home around eleven. Don't stay up for me. You got a big day tomorrow." Leighton spoke about Bella's Marc Jacobs shoot that was happening tomorrow.
"Don't wake me up then."
"No promises." Leighton decided this was a good time to provide a goodbye kiss, leaning forward and kissing Bella once more. Leighton broke the kiss, and grabbed her Versace purse from the bed.
"Are you sure you can't stay?" Bella's eyebrow was raised as her eyes looked over Leighton one last time.
"I adore you."
