THUD

I sit on the edge of the bed, the room spinning with my thoughts. Another vase shatters against the wall, echoing my frustration. My head is pounding, a relentless ache that no amount of anger can soothe. Tears blur my vision, surprising even myself. I'm not one to cry easily, but today, the weight of it all feels unbearable.

Closing my eyes, I lean back against the headboard, letting the tears fall freely. Each drop is a testament to the turmoil within me, a silent scream against the injustice of it all. I want to scream, to rage against the walls closing in around me, but all I can do is let the tears flow.

Gripping my head in my hands, I try to drown out the chaos in my mind. The memories, the doubts, the fears-they all swirl together, a maelstrom of emotion threatening to consume me. But amidst the turmoil, there's a glimmer of hope, a flicker of determination.

I can't believe I'm doing this, getting married again. Unknowingly, a tear escapes my eye and I find myself crying. I hate it when I cry, but the tears keep flowing relentlessly.

I despise this weakness in me. I stare at the ceiling, closing my eyes to let the tears fall freely. I sit there by the bed, feeling emotionless.

Minji: Why are you crying, my love?

As I feel her arms around me, I turn to see Minji standing there.

Minji: It's okay, everything's going to be fine, but...

King myg: M-Minji, I'm getting married.

I look back at her, seeing the pain mirrored in her eyes. I hate seeing tears in her eyes.

Minji: W-What?

I break down into more tears, and she embraces me.

Minji: W-Why? I thought you loved me.

Despite her own hurt, she still hugs me, and I'm grateful. I look at her, feeling her gaze filled with hope.

King myg: I still love you, only you, my love. I can't even think of loving someone else other than you.

She nods with a pained expression, and her form starts to fade away into dust. I try to hold onto her, but she slips through my fingers.

King myg: It's Hwasa noona who forced me. I told her not to do this, love. I'm sorry.

Another tear escapes my eye as I hear a knock on the door. I wipe away all my tears and stand up, trying to compose myself with a straight face.

Queen Hwasa: I thought I'd find you ready, but it seems like you haven't even washed your face properly.

I nod in response and walk into the closet. I don't want to talk to her, not now. As I reach the closet, I wipe my tears and force myself to give a pained smile.

One hour later...

King Myg: You don't deserve me, but I'm not that weak... I'll show you and make you regret it.

I close my eyes with a deep sigh and then feel someone hug my legs. I know who it is. I crouch in front of him and smile.

Ha-rin: Dadda, y-you're not getting married, right?

He starts crying, and I hug him tightly.

King Myg: Shh, it's okay, hm? Who told you?

Ha-rin: J-Jae-rin.

I roll my eyes. Why did they have to tell him now? Can't they wait until tomorrow morning? But when did Jae-rin return?

Ha-rin: Dadda, tell me.

King Myg: I'm getting married, dear.

Ha-rin: No 🙅🏻‍♂️, I don't want a new mumma.

King Myg: Baby, I can't do anything. It's Queen Hwasa's wish.

Ha-rin: She said this at Scarlet's time too.

King Myg: It's okay--

King Ksj: Don't cry, my baby, come here.

We both look at the gate to see him standing with wide-open arms, smiling at us. Ha-rin runs to him and hugs him tightly.

Ha-rin: Jin-jin!

King Kim Seokjin lifts him up.

Ha-rin: I missed you sooooo much.

King Ksj: I missed you too. And you know who's waiting downstairs for you?

Ha-rin: Who? Who?

Hyung whispers something in his ear, and he runs outside happily.

Ha-rin: Yes! Yes! YESSSSS!

I stand up and walk to him with a smile.

King Ksj: It's okay, my brother. Everything's gonna be fine.

He hugs me, and I hug him back.

(Your P.O.V)

Looking at myself in the mirror, a tear escapes my eye. The maids finish doing my makeup.

Slave: Done.

I simply nod, and she starts packing her things. King Frank-lee enters my chamber.

King Frank-lee: I need to talk to my sister alone.

The slaves nod and walk outside with their things as King Frank-lee comes and sits beside me.

King Frank-lee: I wonder whether Mom and Dad have told you this or not, b--

Queen Lily: But your soon-to-be husband is so loving.

She cuts him off. I look at King Frank-lee, who gives her a WTF look.

King Frank-lee: No, b--

Queen Lily: King, I think King Lee and Queen Lee would have told her this already. Let's just go and let her get ready. We don't want to be late, right?

Frank-lee looks at me once and walks outside, dragging his wife's hand.

And now I wonder what he was about to say. But what else could he have been saying?

Ignoring the thought, I wait for them to call me out.

As I walk with my hands linked with my father's arm, I can still hear those faint whispers around me.

:- so gorgeous.

:- king min is so lucky.

:- I'm jealous of her beauty.

:- just beauty? She is going to get married to king min.

:- i still wonder how king min agreed to this aft--.

:- shut up someone will listen to us.

He wonders what could be so fishy about the situation.

:- She's so beautiful.

:- not more than me.

:- yeah in your dreams.

When I see a man approaching me with a bright smile and offering his hand, it's King Kim Namjoon.

(No one's pov)

King Kim Namjoon: Shall I?

He asked your dad, who simply nodded, placing your hand in his. He starts walking with you, leading you to the stage.

:- look how lucky

:- at least she can hold king kim namjoon's hand.

:- im already alot jealous and now this ?

:- she's so beautiful.

:- look at that hot colour on her skin.

:- she wore red in engagement also ? So her fav colour is red.

:- argh look at this hot bride I'm so jealous of the king min.

:- i hate how these two sisters get handsome.

:- yeah her sister she's also sooooo hot.

:- bro~~ she had a son.

:- so ? I can raise him too.

King Kim Namjoon: Shall I?

He asked your dad, who simply nodded, placing your hand in his. He starts walking with you, leading you to the stage.

King Kim Namjoon: Ignore them, they are just so jealous of you, wondering how in the world you are holding my hand.

He let out a chuckle, and you give him a perplexed look. Is he serious at this hour?

King Kim Namjoon: But to be honest, I'm against this marriage.

He gives you a cryptic smirk.

King Kim Namjoon: I asked them a lot not to do this to you, sweetheart, but they didn't listen to me, especially that guy over there.

King Kim Namjoon: That guy over there wasn't letting me stop this marriage.

You look at him and then at King Jung Hoseok.

King Kim Namjoon: But sweetheart, don't you worry. I'm with you always.

Just then, King Jung Hoseok approaches you both.

King Jung Hoseok: Let me?

He asks King Kim Namjoon, who rolls his eyes and places your hand in his. You can't help but wonder what's happening-is this some kind of joke?

You find yourself walking with King Jung Hoseok, who suddenly speaks up.

King Jung Hoseok: I want to tell you one thing.

You look at him with a questioning expression.

King Jung Hoseok: I'm totally against this wedding of yours, darling, but there are some people here who won't let me stop it.

Your mind is a total mess now. Your mother kept apologizing, your brother seemed like he wanted to say something, your sister didn't approach you at all during the marriage, and now these two are saying opposite things. What should you believe?

King Jung Hoseok: Look over there.

You follow his gaze to see King Kim Namjoon.

King Jung Hoseok: He's the one who wouldn't let me stop this marriage, darling.

You don't react and continue looking at them both as you finally reach the aisle, locking eyes with each other.

(Prince Jeon jungkook's P.O.V)

Upon arriving at the wedding venue, I anticipated her presence, considering the invitation extended to every kingdom. As I searched for her amidst the gathering, my gaze inadvertently met his – the one person I least wished to encounter. He cast a smug smirk in my direction before striding purposefully towards me.

Prince PJM: Long time no see, brother.

He has changed significantly; his hair has grown, and he appears more handsome. I roll my eyes at his presence, paying little attention to his words as I am already searching for someone else.

Prince PJM: Does the cat get your tongue?

Prince JJK: I wonder how you've returned now when you never wanted to.

Prince PJM: I just wanted to see your face and witness how my so-called brother has become even uglier.

Prince JJK: Not everyone here is like you.

Prince PJM: That's what I said. No one can match the level of Park Jimin.

Prince JJK: And who wants to? I mean, who wants to become uglier like you day by day?

Prince PJM: While talking about me, stop describing yourself.

I roll my eyes.

Prince PJM: By the way, I've heard a lot about you from my—

Prince JJK: Personal detective?

Prince PJM: Nah, from my sweet little nephew.

Prince JJK: Sweet and him? They are two different things.

Prince PJM: Anyway, I wonder if you're still pursuing my girl or if you've found someone else who can match the level of your ugly face.

It's enough for me. I close my eyes and take a deep sigh.

Prince JJK: Your girl? What a joke, hyung. Are you still fixated on that 'incident'?

Prince PJM: Incident? Is that what you're calling it? An incident? This is how incidents happen—with careful planning?

I can't say anything further and walk away, listening to him shouting.

Prince PJM: Prince Jeon just walks away as always.

(Your P.O.V)

Standing in front of him, I can't help but feel a mix of emotions. He's looking straight into my eyes, and to be honest, people weren't wrong when they said he's handsome yet intimidating with his looks.

King myg: Done staring?

Y/n: Huh?

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize I've been staring at him for the past few minutes. Before he could say anything else, the priest came and said:

Priest: Let's start the vows.

Now we both stand straight. I look down at my hands, feeling nervous. Just a few minutes, and I would no longer be Princess Lee Y/N. My heart is beating rapidly, and unknowingly, a tear falls from my eyes, but i quickly wipes it away.

Y/n: Sorry.

King myg: You should be.

Priest: King Min Yoongi, do you take Princess Lee Y/N as your lawfully wedded wife for life?

The priest's words echoed in the room, signaling the start of the vows. My heart raced as I stood beside King Min Yoongi, feeling nervous yet determined. Unknowingly, a tear escaped my eye.

There's a pin-drop silence, and everyone is waiting for King Min Yoongi to answer. I look at him, and he's looking straight at me with no expression, then shifts his gaze towards someone, and again at me.

King myg: I do.

Priest: Princess Lee Y/N, do you take King Min Yoongi as your lawfully wedded husband for life?

My heart skips a beat as I look at him and then at my hands. It's again pin-drop silence, and everyone is waiting for my answer.

I take a deep sigh.

Y/n: I do.

When it was my turn to respond, I took a deep breath and answered, "I do," with conviction. The tension in the room eased as the priest pronounced us husband and wife.

Priest: You may kiss the bride.

Finally, the moment arrived for the kiss. With a gentle touch, King Min Yoongi leaned in, and our lips met in a tender embrace, sealing our vows and marking the beginning of our new life together.

(Prince jjk's P.O.V)

I was wandering around when someone approached me.

Someone: "Prince Vows have already begun. What are you doing here?"

I looked at her and nodded, walking towards the stage.

But the next scene I witnessed left me speechless and broken; my heart shattered into millions of pieces.

Priest: "You may kiss the bride."

King Min walked closer to her, pulling her by her waist, and their lips met.

Prince JJK: A-am I hall—

Prince PJM: No, brother, it's reality.

I looked at him with tears in my eyes, his smirk piercing through my shattered emotions.

Prince PJM: You witnessed it, right?

I couldn't control it, and a tear finally escaped my eye, which had been threatening to fall.

Prince PJM: I see someone crying?

Prince JJK: Y-you knew it?

Prince PJM: Not really, but I found out when I arrived here.

Prince JJK: You didn't tell me?

Prince PJM: I wanted to surprise you.

I nodded, but then he hugged me unexpectedly.

Prince PJM: Cry here.

Unknowingly, I hugged him tightly and began crying my heart out.

Prince JJK: W-why her?

Prince PJM: I-it's okay.

Prince JJK: C-can't she s-see my l-love?

Prince PJM: She never can see anybody's love.

I looked at him and realized what I was doing, so I pulled back and ran back to my carriage.

As I sat in the carriage, tears streaming down my face, I held onto my chest as if trying to contain the ache within. The world outside seemed to mirror my turmoil as the kingdom sparkled with lights, celebrating the union of their king. Yet, the joyous atmosphere only intensified the heaviness in my heart.

Outside, the kingdom was illuminated with festive lights celebrating the king's wedding, casting a stark contrast to the turmoil within me. The streets were alive with music and laughter, but the sound felt distant, drowned out by the storm raging inside.

Suddenly, the sky opened up, and rain began to pour relentlessly, mirroring the turmoil within my soul. The pitter-patter of raindrops against the carriage windows seemed to echo the rhythm of my broken heart.

Prince JJK: I never thought it would hurt this much... Why her? Why now?

Rain began to fall more relentlessly with each passing minutes, the droplets hitting the carriage's windows like a melancholic melody. Each drop seemed to echo the rhythm of my sorrow, amplifying the sense of loss and despair.

Inside, the carriage felt suffocating, the walls closing in around me as memories of her and the king's embrace haunted my thoughts. Despite the warmth of the flickering lanterns, I shivered with a coldness that penetrated deep into my soul.

Amidst the storm both outside and within, I uttered broken fragments of words, whispers of anguish and disbelief.

Prince JJK: Why her? Why now?

I murmured, the words barely audible over the sound of the rain.

The journey back to the castle felt endless, each passing moment stretching into eternity as I grappled with the rawness of my emotions. In the solitude of the carriage, I found no solace, only the relentless ache of a heart shattered by unrequited love.

(Queen wang hwasa's pov)

I walked into the hall, expecting everyone to have arrived, but what I witnessed left me utterly speechless.

King Min was kissing his soon-to-be bride.

What? Are they already married?

With hurried steps, I made my way to them, leaving my king, my daughter, and Ha-rin behind, and stood on the stage.

Priest: Now, I announce you are lawfully married.

Queen Hwasa: WHAT?

Everyone looked at me, but I ignored them and walked up to the couple.

Queen Hwasa: You both didn't even wait for me? What's the val—

King Han-seok: IS THIS OUR VALUE HERE, QUEEN? HOW CAN THEY GET MARRIED WITHOUT US?

This girl hadn't even stepped foot in our palace, and she had somehow convinced my brother to marry without waiting for me. I was certain it was Y/N's doing.

King Min: You were late.

I was certain it was Y/N. She had surely cast some sort of spell on my brother because he never took anyone else's side in front of me.

King Frank-Lee: It's okay, Queen. Let's go have something.

How could he expect me to have something when my brother had just gotten married?

King Han-seok: I won't forget this, Queen. Is this how your family treats their one and only son-in-law?

No one spoke, but the silence was deafening. Now they knew? Where was this "one and only" theme coming from?

(No one's pov)

Amidst the sea of taunts and accusations, we finally moved towards the dinner table. I found myself reluctantly seated next to my so-called husband, who didn't spare me even a single glance.

Ignoring the tense atmosphere and the whispers around me, I found solace in staring at the ceiling adorned with cascading flowers. Lost in my thoughts, I was startled when I heard a voice.

King KTH: Where are Prince Jeon and Prince Park?

Everyone's attention turned towards King KTH, awaiting an answer.

King KSJ: Perhaps they have already left to prepare for another function.

I nod, watching as King KTH starts eating.

Queen Lee: Now the groom will feed the bride, and the b-bride will feed the groom.

We exchange looks of disdain, directed towards Queen Lee and each other.

As he loads his spoon with food and adds some spices, recalling our previous encounter, he inserts it into my mouth abruptly, catching me off guard before I can react.

I choke on the spices, prompting Queen Kim Scarlet to stand up and offer me a glass of water.

Queen KSL: Are you alright?

I nod, still coughing, my nose burning and turning red, tears stinging my eyes.

King MYG: Don't exaggerate.

He whispers in my ear, but I remain silent.

Now it's my turn. With a subtle smirk, I add an extra dose of salt to my spoon and swiftly feed it to him. He coughs as the salt hits his nose.

Y/N: Now, why the overreaction?

Before he can respond, Queen KSL interjects.

Queen KSL: Where is Prince Ha-rin?

Once again, all eyes turn towards her.

King KNJ: He left with Prince PJM, dear. Don't worry.

She nods and resumes her seat.

Thus, the wedding continues, and now it's time for me to depart for his kingdom.

I notice my mother sobbing uncontrollably, as is my father.

King KTH: They didn't cry like this during your time.

He whispers to Queen Kim Scarlet.

My mother approaches me, embracing me tightly, her tears flowing freely.

Queen Lee: I apologize, my dear. We had no alternative.

The apology feels hollow. What exactly is the true issue with her? I ponder silently.

Finally, I settle into the carriage opposite him, his intense gaze unsettling.

He's intimidating.

Refusing to meet his eyes, I turn my attention to the passing scenery outside.

The rain seemed to mirror the turmoil within me, each drop a testament to the cascade of emotions raging in my heart. I felt a strange sense of solace in the relentless downpour, as if the storm outside mirrored the chaos within.

With every passing moment, the distance between us grew, both physically and emotionally. Inside the carriage, an unspoken tension lingered, but outside, the storm raged on, oblivious to the complexities of human relationships.
