Y/n pov:

I looked at myself in the mirror and yawned. I didn't get a lot of sleep due to staying awake for so long.

Last night was such a hassle...
I stretched my arms above my head.

"Not a lot of sleep?" I heard.
I tilted my head to the side and saw the reflection of Xiao standing behind me.

"There you are! I didn't see you at all yesterday!" I turned to him with a smile.
I hope I don't seem clingy...

"Yes... sorry it took more time than I thought." Xiao said and stood in front of me.

"But I'd like to give you the surprise now." He said as well.

I felt my heartbeat speed up, right now?!
My tail wagged a little and I looked around him, but didn't see anything that stood out.

He crossed his arms and chuckled, "It's not here." He said with a smile. He then took out a blindfold and held it in front of me.

Unfortunately my thoughts went other places. Kinky...
I smirked a little with a small blush.

Xiao seemed to be able to read my thoughts, because he started smirking.

He tilted his head "And you called me a pervert..." he said, still smirking.

I clenched my teeth and blushed.

While he had a smirk on his face, he tied the blindfold over my eyes, now I couldn't see anything.

My ears perked up as I heard him walk around and behind me. "Xiao?" I asked, wondering what he was doing. Then he wrapped his arms around me from behind and he teleported us somewhere else.

When he had teleported us somewhere, I really wanted to take the blindfold off.

My feet were standing in water and I could hear the ocean waves.

"Are we at the beach?" I asked him. He didn't answer and instead took my waist and started walking somewhere, leading me with him.

He hummed, "Close your eyes." He said.

"But I have a blindfold-"

"Just close your eyes, I'm going to take it off now." Xiao said.

"Okay." I made sure my eyes were tightly closed and he untied the blindfold.

He let the blindfold fall to the sand and quickly put his hands in front of my eyes even though they were closed.

I felt him inhale and exhale before he moved his hands from my eyes, "You can look now." He sounded nervous...

I opened my eyes and had clear sight. And what I saw in front of me...

"A... house?"
Then realization hit me a few seconds later.

We've been staying at Wangshu Inn so many years...

The house was a two story house. It was extremely open. The windows were big and the door was a simple glass door with a curtain you could draw in front of it. The house was made of a mix between light wood and stone. The roof reminded me of a traditional Inazuman house.

There were plants outside of the house, many Qingxin flowers.

After looking a little around I realized we were at Yaoguang Shoal.
The location was great for us, it's rare for outsiders and mortals to come to this part of the beach, so it was private for me and Xiao.

"There's nothing inside the house yet, I thought... maybe you wanted to decorate it to your liking..." Xiao said.

I turned to him with a teasing smile. He immediately saw it and decided to avoid my teasing, "The house has a room for a kitchen. I thought we could try making some more common mortal dishes together." He explained.

He ran towards him with a big smile and engulfed him in a huge hug. "Xiao you're so cute!!" I yelled as I wrapped my arms around his neck and held him tight.

He wasted not time and hugged me back. I could feel him calming down now.

He held his arms around my waist.
I looked up at him. "There was never a house here before, and I don't imagine you building anything, how did you do all this?!" I asked, still in a surprised state.

"Zhongli and Kazuha helped me with the design, they thought you might like something open with big windows so it would feel more airy and free." He said.

Kazuha was in on this as well?? They're getting along!! I couldn't help but smile.

"Ningguang and your sister focused on where the house should be located. The three of us came to an agreement that it should be somewhere near the ocean, somewhere not far away from the Inn, and somewhere other people rarely visit." He said.

Miko?! And Ningguang?!

I then remembered that Zhongli had given me a letter from Miko. I was so sleepy that I forgot to read it last night.

"Lastly, the house was built in under 24 hours with the help of the Qixing and the Crux crew." He said. So that's how...
In under 24 hours?!
They work fast...

"So..." Xiao muttered, causing me to look at him.
"Do you like it?" He asked.

My eyes widened as I realized I hadn't screamed in happiness yet. Just let me...
"I love it so much!!" I yelled and gave him another hug.
He held me tightly.

We were still standing in the water and then he grabbed my hips and lifted me up, spinning me around.
I was wearing my long hanfu, which caused the water to splash and surround us as he was spinning me around.

I couldn't stop smiling.

-

I sat down on the chair in the room at the Inn. Most of the stuff me and Xiao owned was now removed from here. The room was empty.

This is the room we've had for so long, it feels weird leaving it.

I held the pink letter from Miko in my hands, I opened it and pulled the letter out of the envelope.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey Darling!
I heard from the Tianquan that the adeptus's proposal went well? And that you're engaged now?
I also heard from Zhongli that you've had quite the adventure in The Chasm.
As well as the fact that you've now found a house to live in with that boy?
Do you see the problem? I've heard all these things, but not from you.
If I'm giving you away to that boy and those people in Liyue, I hereby declare that you have to write once every second day!
Honestly... I wanted to visit you the day after you left Inazuma to see if you've recovered well. Do you know what I found out?
That you were wandering around on a dangerous mission in The Chasm. Right after being revived. I swear, we won't find another gnosis that easily you know!
Be more careful. Remember to write extremely often. And visit me soon Darling.
Miko <3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I sighed.
She was right, I had been careless and rushed into The Chasm without thinking, and I had unfortunately forgotten to info her of everything that had happened in my life after the revival.

She's never going to leave us alone from now on...
I thought , sweat dropping slightly.

I burned the letter with pyro and started writing one to return to her.

-

After writing my reply, I tied the letter to the leg of a bird that was waiting for me in the window.

The birds deliver letters 10x faster than the mortals, so that's how me and Miko will be communicating now.

I watched as the bird flew away.

"Ready to leave?" I heard Xiao say from behind me. I turned to him and saw him leaning on the wall, waiting for me.

"Yes, let's go." I said and grabbed his hand.
Before exiting the room I took one last glance around.
And then we left.

Miko would definitely leave small hearts on the letters she sends to Y/n.
