-Y/N'S POV-
Thunder sounded through the sky, causing me to slightly flinch as we stand in front of the strange girl from the woods
"Is there a number we can call?" Mike broke the silence. The girl looked up quickly at the sudden sound. "For your parents?"
"Your hair, do you have cancer?" Dustin asked. I quickly smacked his arm with the back of my hand
"Did you run away?" Lucas asked
"Are you in some kind of trouble?" I spoke and stepped in front of the boys. Lucas went to touch her, but Mike smacked his hand down "Stop it! Your freaking her out!" He yelled
"She's freaking me out!" Lucas argued
"I bet she's deaf" they paused and Dustin clapped his hands in front of her causing her to flinch "Nope, not deaf"
I turned to face the boys "Alright, that's enough of that. She's just scared and cold. Mike go grab one of my pajama shirts and a pair of pajama shorts from the dryer" with that Mike went to go grab them
Thunder sounded once more causing me to look up, Mike handed me the clothes he grabbed and I turned to the girl "Here, change clothes. K?" slowly she grabbed them and rubbed them to her cheek. I looked at the boys confused and they were just as confused as me.
I turned back to the girl as she stood up. She reached her hands to take off her shirt, the boys turned around and covered there faces screaming "oh my god!" and "Woah! Woah! Woah!" quickly I grabbed her wrist "woah! Hey! See, over there is the bathroom," I pointed to the bathroom door "Privacy. Get it?"
She looked confused then quickly grabbed the clothes and walked to the bathroom, Mike followed her. I stood next to Dustin as Lucas walked over, we heard Mike talking to the girl. She can speak, I don't think she likes being alone.
"This is mental!!" Dustin argued
"At least she can talk." Mike said
"She said 'yes' and 'no' your 3 year old sister says more!" Lucas argued
"She tried to get naked!" Dustin added
"There's something seriously wrong with her" Lucas pointed out "Like wrong in the head"
"She just went like-" Dustin copied what the girl had tried to do but he ended up knocking his hat off. I rolled my eyes and picked it up placing it on his head, I adjusted myself so that I could fix a few curls that didn't look right.
"I bet she escaped from Penthurst!" Lucas looked between all of us
"From where?" Mike looked at him like he was crazy
"The nuthouse in Kerley County." Lucas confirmed
"You got a lot of family there?" I asked turning away from Dustin and shifting my weight back and forth from my heal to the balls of my feet
"Bite me!" Lucas half shouted at me then continued his thoughts "Seriously though, think about it! That would explain her shaved hair, and why she's so crazy"
"Why she went like-" Dustin copied the motion careful not to knock his hat off again
"She's an escapee is the point, she's probably a psycho"
"Like Michael Myers?" Dustin asked
"Exactly!"
"So you wanted us to just leave her out in that storm!?" Mike snapped
"Yes! We went out to find Will, not another problem!" Lucas argued again
"We should probably tell your mom." Dustin said looking at me then to Mike
"I second that" Lucas said
"Who's crazy now!?" Mike argued
"How is that crazy?" Lucas snapped
"Cause we weren't supposed to be out tonight, remember?" I spoke softly reminding them of our parents word. All this arguing and stuff is making me tired.
"So?" Lucas asked
"So if I tell my mom, and she tells your mom, and your mom" I started
"Oh man" Dustin said catching on
"Our house will become Alcatraz" Lucas added in realization
"Exactly. Then we'll never find Will" Mike said
Dustin looked at lucas and did the movement from earlier earning a smack on the shoulder and a look of 'stop that!'
"Here's the plan. She sleeps here" Mike started
"You're letting a girl sleep at your house!?" Dustin asked
"Listen, in the morning she sneaks out, goes to the front of my house, rings the door bell. My mom will answer and know exactly what to do, she'll send her back to Penthurst or where ever she came from. We'll be totally in the clear! Then tomorrow night we go back out. This time we find Will" Mike finished
Mike is giving the girl blankets and pillows in a fort that he built while I walk Lucas and Dustin out. They paused on the stairs "You really think she's psycho?" Dustin asked
"Wouldn't want her in my house" Lucas said walking up the stairs, me and Dustin following behind.
I snuck them out the door as to not wake anyone up I stepped outside and left the door cracked "Don't get caught, and don't stay out long enough to get hurt or sick" I said looking between both boys
"Oh come on Y/N, you're not really that worried about us getting caught. Right?" Dustin asked getting on his bike
"More so hurt." I said pulling his hood over his face and laughing. He adjusted his hood so that it was no longer in his face. Lucas was first to ride away with a simple "Later" as I waved at him. Dustin waved "Bye Y/N, see you tomorrow" then he rode off. I waved as I stepped back inside and went up to my room, changed into pajamas, and went to sleep.

I was in the fourth grade, me and Mike sit alone on the swings
"Y/N, we should try to make friends" Mike's little voice came from the swing next to me
"Nobody likes us. We're alone remember? Alone together Mikey." I spoke not looking up from the ground
"What if we don't have to be? There's these few kids who Troy bullies too, we could talk to them." Mike suggested
"I guess, Mikey" I finally looked up from the ground to see Troy bullying a kid on the far side of the play ground, the kid looks new, I've never seen him before.
Troy was more hands on with this kid than the rest of us, he was bending the kids arm's, then he smacked him. Quickly I got off my swing and started running across the park, Mike following behind.
As I got closer I got angrier "Oi! Troy!" I yelled causing him and his friends to look at me.
"Well if it isn't the klutz" he said turning away from the kid he was messing with
"Troy, teasing is one thing, but I just watched you hit him!" I said pointing to the kid Troy had thrown to the ground
"Yeah? So? What are you gonna do about it freak?" He said crossing his arms.
I ran at him tackling him to the ground, I sit on top of him and punch him square in the face, his friends ran off, probably to find an adult.
"What is your problem!?" Troy yelled as he punched me in the face
"You're my problem!!" I shouted as I punched him again, he pushed me off him and punched me in the nose causing it to bleed. He was on top of me punching me over and over, I pushed him off and kicked him right in the balls. He fell over as I got up and walked over to the kid
"Hey man, you alright?" I asked offering a hand to help him get up, he nodded and took my hand "That was awesome!!" he shouted
I smiled as I wiped blood from under my nose "Thanks, I'm Y/N, and this is Mike" I said pointing to my brother
"I'm Dustin. You guys look very similar" He said looking between me and my brother
"Yeah, we're twins" Mike said
"Troy, Y/N. Office. Now" The teacher called for us
"Alright Dustin, maybe wanna be friends?" He nodded "Gotta go. Mikey, don't do anything stupid"

Quickly I ran downstairs as to not miss breakfast, I took my seat next to Mike and Nancy. Mike was eating very quickly so he could take something to the girl downstairs.
"Slow down Mike, that's disgusting." Nancy said annoyed
"You do a lot of studying last night?" Mike asked leaning over the table while I snickered
"Yeah, actually. I did" Nancy confirmed
"What was your test on again? Human anatomy?" I asked looking at her
She kicked my ankle and I kicked back harder, "Hey, what's going on?" mom asked
"Nothing" Me, Mike, and Nancy all said together
We went back to eating.
As me and Mike finished we ran down to the basement with some waffles for the girl
"How do we know this girl-" I started
"Her names El" Mike cut me off
"What?"
"The girl, her name is El, short for eleven" Mike repeated himself
"Righhtt so how do we know El likes waffles?" I asked, he just shrugged and ran down the basement stairs
El was playing with a Walkie in the fort
"Hey, you found my supercom! Pretty cool, huh? I talk to my friends with it. Mostly Lucas cause he lives so close. Signal is pretty weak" Mike told the girl
She looked up at him and he gave her an eggo from his pocket "Got you breakfast!" she took it and bit into it
"Alright Mikey, have fun with that. I'm going to get my backpack, I'll be waiting for you outside." I said causing Mike to look at me. He nodded and turned back to the girl

I've been sitting outside for about 5 minutes, I grabbed my walkie from my bag "Michael, if you don't hurry up I'm leaving you" I spoke into the walkie
Static, "Ooo~ Mike's in trouble" Lucas broke the static
Static, "I'm about to walk upstairs." He said breaking his static
A few minutes later he walked outside, "Listen I'm riding halfway to the school then I'm turning around"
"Why?" I asked getting on my bike
"I'm going to come back home" he informed me as he got on his bike
"Ok, whatever. I'm going to school, so have fun with that then" I said riding away leaving him behind me.
I road past Lucas's house "Hey loser!!" I shouted at him as he road out of his driveway to catch up with me
"Hey Y/N!" He said back smiling
We got close to Dustin's and I saw him at the end of his driveway "Yo! Dusty!!" I yelled teasing him with the nickname his mom gave him
"Y/N! Stop calling me that!" He shouted as we passed him. He road out of his drive and caught up the same way Lucas did.

We sit in Mr Clarke's class as he passes out papers
Dustin and Lucas were talking about Mike being "Late"
"Mike isn't showing today." I said uncapping my pen "He's with that weird girl from last night"
"dude, what if she slept naked" Dustin said leaning over to Lucas
"I'm telling you she didn't" Lucas said
"what if Ms Wheeler tells our parents" Dustin said laying his head in his hands
"No way! Mike would never rat us out!" Lucas stated
"I don't know.." Dustin was unsure
"After school, the girl will be back in the Looney bin and we can focus on finding Will" Lucas assured him
"Dustin gimme your arm" I said lightly tapping the arm I drew on yesterday
He lifted his sleeve up and put his arm on my desk, I traced over what I had wrote yesterday and gave him the pen and my arm. As he finished tracing his name on my arm Mr Clarke started the lesson

We're standing in Mike's room, he let the girl stay
"Are you out of your mind!?!?" Lucas yelled
"She knows about Will!!" Mike yelled back
"What do you mean she knows about Will!?" I asked
"She pointed at him, at his picture. She knew he was missing I could tell." Mike argued
"Could tell?" Lucas repeated
"Just think about it. You think it was a coincidence we found her on mirkwood, the same place will went missing" Mike started
"That is weird" Dustin looked at me
"And she said bad people are after her, I think maybe these bad people are the same ones that took Will. I think she knows what happened to him" Mike said. Panic showing on my face I looked down
"Then why doesn't she tell us?" Lucas was irritated
We all looked at El, lucas walked over "Do you know where he is?" He put his hands on her shoulders and yelled "Do you know where Will is!?"
"Stop it you're scaring her!" Mike yelled
"She should be scared! If you know where he is, tell us." lucas looked from Mike to the girl she looked as if she would cry.
I slowly sat on the bed next to her trying not to scare her more. Lucas continued yelling at Mike
"Hi, I'm Y/N" I said softly to the girl
"El" she said
I smiled sadly "Are you scared?" she nodded "I'm sorry, but truth is, we're all scared too. Lucas wasn't trying to scare you, he just misses Will. He goes over bored sometimes"
She looked at the boys as Dustin said "Mike! what kind of danger!?"
"Danger danger!" Mike made a finger gun and pointed it at all of their heads, Lucas swatted it away
"No! No! No! We're going back to plan a! We're telling your mom!!" Lucas ran to the door and opened it, only for it to slam shut. He tried again but it slammed shut again, this time it locked.
We all looked at El and she wiped blood from her nose "No."
"Holy shit-" I spoke under my breath

We are sitting at the dinner table, kinda awkwardly, me and boys are just picking at the meatloaf that mom made
"Something wrong with the meatloaf?" Mom asked
"No, I had two pb&j sandwiches for lunch. I don't know why" Dustin said
"Me too" Lucas said
"Yeah, I made them sandwiches." I added onto the lie
"It's delicious mommy." Nancy said
"Thank you, sweetie" Mom said
Nancy went on about an Assembly for Will asking if she could go
"be back by ten. Why don't you take the kids?"
"No!" we all yelled
"Don't you think you should be there? For will?" mom asked
We saw El walk down the stairs and Mike choked on his milk causing mom to start turning around, dustin hit the table and she gasped.
"sorry, spasm" Dustin sunk into his chair
Holy sank in her chair at the loud noise "Mom, Holly" I pointed out as she looked next to her
"Its ok Holly, it's just a loud noise" Mom told her
"Nice one" Nancy said sarcastically looking at Dustin

"El?" Mike called walking down the basement stairs "No adults, just us and some meatloaf"
"Don't worry, we won't tell anyone about you" I said sitting in front of the fort
"We promise." Mike said
"Right?" I looked at Dustin and Lucas
"We wouldn't have upset you if we knew you had super powers" Dustin said smiling
Mike hit his knee "What dustin is trying to say is-"
"like I told you earlier, they were just scared. That's all" I cut Mike off
"We just wanted to find our friend" Lucas said looking to the ground
"Friend?" El looked at him confused
"Yeah, friend. Will."
"What is friend" she asked
"Is she serious?" Lucas looked to Dustin "Uhmmm a friend is someone-"
"-Someone that you'd do anything for!" Mike started
"You lend them your cool stuff, like comic books and trading cards." Dustin added
"They never break a promise." I told her
"especially when there's spit" Lucas added
"Ew- Lucas-" I turned to him
"Spit?" El asked
"A spit swear meaning you never break your word" he spat in his hand and shook hands with Dustin "It's a bond"
"Ew! Lucas gross!!" I half shouted
Dustin looked at his hand, grossed out, and wiped it on his shirt.
"That's supper important cause friends, they tell eachother things. Things that parents don't know."
Mike continued talking to El and I got up "Dustin go wash your hand! You don't know the last time Lucas brushed his teeth! Or how many germs are in his mouth"
"Je-zus! Y/N calm down!" Lucas rolled his eyes
"Go Dust!!" I pushed Dustin towards the bathroom but he dead weighed on me "Dustinnnnn!!"
He fell on top of me, making us both fall to the floor "Oh noooo gravity is to stronggg"
"Get off!! You're crushing me!! You're crushing me!!" I laughed
"I can't, Earth's gravitational pull is getting stronger" he laughed out
We saw El sit at the table we play D&D at, Lucas whispered to himself and me and Dustin got up. We all walked over
"El?" came Mike's voice
She closed her eyes for a minute then opens them, she picked up Will's figure from the bored.
"Will" she spoke softly, very quiet
"Superpowers" Dustin said from beside me
Mike sat down and looked at her "Did you see him? On mirkwood? Do you know where he is?"
She swiped all the pieces off the bored and flipped it upside down, then placed Will's piece in the middle
"I don't understand?" Mike spoke
"Hiding" she said softly, not looking up from the bored
"Will is hiding?" I asked from behind her, she nodded
"From the bad men?" Mike asked, she shook her head no
"From who?" I asked fear clear in my voice. She placed the demogorgon piece down. Mike looked up at all of us worry on his face, worry on everyone's face.
Dustin put his hands on his head and sighed, El looked at Mike
