I observed the ongoing engagement ceremony and couldn't help but wonder what was happening with King Kim and why he left the ceremony abruptly. Something felt off, and I was curious about the real reason for his sudden departure.
Meanwhile, I turned my attention back to the stage where the groom and bride were exchanging rings. The audience clapped enthusiastically, and everyone, including my family, was radiating happiness with proud smiles on their faces.
However, my mind was preoccupied with other thoughts. I couldn't help but wonder why Prince Frank-lee had chosen this particular bride. Frank-lee had rejected far more beautiful options before, so there had to be a reason for his decision. Still, it wasn't my concern.
I couldn't help but feel a bit bored without Scarlet by my side. I was sure she was with King Kim, and I missed her presence. Nevertheless, I decided to focus on the upcoming dance.
A voice interrupted my thoughts, announcing the dance and asking everyone to stand up.
Someone: Now, everyone, please stand up for the dance.

One hour ago...
When I entered the palace, I was on my way, but then I saw a girl, probably a princess, peeking from the railing. We had eye contact for two seconds, but she rolled her eyes. Ignoring her, I continued to walk to the sofa. I saw her coming downstairs running. I followed her with my gaze, and she walked to my brother, King kim Taehyung, who was covered with decorations.
I wasn't that close, so I couldn't listen to them, but I could clearly see their expressions. He was angry. He walked to the carriage, and that girl ran somewhere. She came back with King Kim Taehyung's in-laws, and it seemed like they convinced him to stay. But if I were in his place, I wouldn't have spared a second and would have left the place already.
To be honest, I'm not interested in this party. After some time, King kim Taehyung walked to the stage, but suddenly he took his queen's hand and walked outside.

But what exactly happened? Instead of following him, I looked at the stage and saw the bride smiling as if the one and only brother-in-law hadn't left seconds ago.

I looked here and there just to see everyone finding their partners. To be honest, I'm not interested without him.
The dance started with the bride and groom's dance.

I can see Frank-lee panicking for no reason, and everyone is laughing at her.
I thought there was going to be no fun without Scarley, but if the bride is a total joker, then why not? And she tried to get up but slipped again.
As I strolled through the grand hall, I was still enjoying the scene earlier, and the joy of the ceremony enveloped me.
Lost in my own world, I didn't notice the approaching figure. Suddenly, I bumped into someone, causing me to lose my balance for a moment. I quickly regained my footing, but my giggles faded into a gasp.
It was some king, I don't remember his name or maybe I do, he's king min yoongi, from the daechwita kingdom. infamous for his rudeness and stern demeanor. He shot a disapproving look down at me, and I met his gaze, my surprise giving way to a hint of annoyance.
King min: Watch where you're going.
he snapped in his typically harsh tone, his frown deepening on his face. I couldn't hide my disapproval as my joyful mood evaporated, I couldn't help but respond.

My own tone was a hint of irritation, and I held my ground. Rudeness was something I couldn't abide by, even if the one showing it was the king himself. His status didn't excuse such behavior in my eyes.

I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his sentence.

It was clear that neither of us was going to back down.

His tone laced with biting sarcasm.

My father began, with a warm smile on his face.

King Min Yoongi turned to look at me, his expression impassive, but his tone carried a hint of arrogance.
King min: Well, Princess, I couldn't help but notice that the bride seemed to be having quite the mishaps. As far as I know It's only logical that she wanted king kim to leave as soon as possible, if it'd be me I would never even look at her back.

King: Let's not dwell on this matter. Tonight is a celebration, and we're here to enjoy the feast and the company of our honored guests.

King Min Yoongi: I believe in being straightforward, Princess.

King min: Yes, and I find it rather ordinary.
King: Ordinary? We take pride in our simplicity.
King Min: Pride in simplicity is a luxury when you have little else to take pride in.
King: I see you have a different perspective.
King min: it's quite different from how I look at the world and how I would like to handle it from my ways.
King: it's quite fascinating how, at such a young age, you've already earned a reputation as one of the most influential rulers in the realm.
King Min: You have a point, King Lee. When I was a child my father used to tell lots of things to me and he also said, one you'll grow up you'll have a big responsibility to handle on your own and I want you to be prepared as soon as possible, so yeah.

He paused for a while I looked at him from a distance zoning out his hand and was stiff on the table upon his plate.
King Min: Not all stories are worth sharing, king lee. Sometimes it's the present and the future that matters.
The rest of the evening passed with polite conversation and smiles, after the evening went smoothly i went to my chamber, changed into my night wears and lay straight on the bed i couldn't sleep still, I don't know why my mind keep lingering to the evening.
NEXT MORNING
I woke up with tired body, i couldn't get the proper sleep so both my body and mind was heavy, I look here and there to get my vision clear, and finally after some minutes, i finally fresh up and walk downstairs to the dinning table for breakfast. It seems quite a bit strange today, everything is so silent, why I couldn't hear prince frank-lee's happiness in the corridor, he must be so happy right now ? Why ain't he shouting or hooting ? Is he sleeping or are the actually this serious.
As I walked to the dining table, I noticed King and Queen Lee engaged in a serious conversation, their faces reflecting the weight of the topic. The room remained in an unusual silence.
Y/n:- Good morning, Your Highness.
I looked towards Prince Frank-lee, remembering the scene from yesterday when his queen had fallen. It brought to mind King Kim's sudden departure with Scarlet.
King:- Good morning.
Queen:- Sweetheart, please hurry with your breakfast. We need to leave for-
Prince Frank-lee:- King Kim's palace.
Did he just interrupt my mother?
Queen:- Prince, do you not have any manners?
Prince franklee- what wrong have I said mom ?
King:- Both of you, behave.
After finishing my breakfast, I headed back to my chamber to prepare for our departure.
SOME HOURS LATER
We had arrived at our destination, King Kim's kingdom, Taechwita. As my carriage passed through the market, I couldn't help but peek out of the window.
The bustling marketplace was quite familiar to me, and my eyes caught sight of someone I recognized. Ian? But what was he doing here? He used to reside in my father's kingdom. I distinctly remembered seeing him shopping for Prince Frank-lee's engagement.
Perhaps he had business here, considering he had his little tower in my father's kingdom. Lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice when we reached the palace.
We got to King Kim's palace in Taechwita, and it was really grand. The palace had a mix of old-style and fancy new designs with pretty colors.
When I stepped out of the car, I could see how impressive the palace was. There were tall, red pillars at the front, leading to a big garden with flowers and fountains. Lots of people, like servants and guards, were working hard to keep everything in order.
As I glanced up to see King Kim standing on the balcony, his expression showing clear signs of anger with that poker face.
Inside the palace, there were fancy decorations and beautiful art. You could tell it was really old and important. It wasn't just a place to live; it was a sign of how important King Kim's kingdom was.
We were taken to a big dining room where there was a huge meal waiting for us. The table was filled with yummy food, and the mood was nice but kind of serious.
As the family was on their way to the dining area, the maids kept blowing fanfare, making a show of treating special guests. King Kim entered the room with a cold, angry stare. I greeted him.
King Kim and Queen Kim went to sit at the head of the table, and they looked like they had important stuff to talk about.
Y/n: - Annyeong, King Kim.
King Kim: - Annyeong... What brings you all here? Something special, or perhaps the invitation?
Prince Frank-lee: - Bro, we're here to ask about the reason for yesterday's behavior.
King Kim: - Behavior? I see.
Just then, Scarley entered the room.
Scarlet: - Good evening, Mom and Dad.
King: - Good evening, my daughter.
King Kim: - Daughter?
The king rolled his eyes.
Queen: - Son, please tell us the main reason so that we can address it.

He took a deep breath before continuing.
King Kim: - I and my queen are not going to attend any function if she's the bride.

King Kim: - Possible? Didn't the function go perfectly without us yesterday to the very end? Did anyone stop to think how we could have a family function without our one and only son-in-law and elder daughter?
Y/n: - Sorry to interrupt, but I did suggest canceling it.
Prince Frank-lee: - Hold on a second. So, you're saying you won't come if Lily is the bride?
King Kim: - Lily, I see... And yes, you got it right.
"Lily" isn't exactly the most inspiring name. No offense, but considering I go by "Y/N," it's a bit different.
King Kim: - I'm not going to attend, nor is my queen.
All eyes turned to Scarley, who was drinking juice on the table, acting as if Frank-lee wasn't going mad and as if there wasn't a heated discussion happening in the room. She choked on her juice.
Scarlet: - W-what are you all looking at? I mean, do I look weird?
She then began searching for a mirror and looked at her reflection on the window glass, smiling widely.
Scarlet: - Perfect as always.
I rolled my eyes, wondering what had happened to everyone in the room. What's with this collective madness?
King Kim: - We are not going to attend, and that's final.
