The night was mostly peaceful. A fresh layer of powdered snow gently covered the ground as waltz music lightly escaped the Christmas party.

Y/N and Hermione's giggled as Y/N pulled her by the hand, running across the empty halls. Y/N made sure to give Hermione his suit jacket due to the cold winter night's breeze. They eventually left the castle, running towards the lake.

"Hermione!" Y/N shouted as soon as they reached their spot.

She looked up at him with a questioning look but with a soft smile.

"Jean!" Y/N pulled her close by wrapping his arms around her waist.

Hermione squealed, instantly wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Granger!" Y/N exclaimed, still loudly but not enough to hurt her ears.

Hermione giggled at Y/N's behavior. Their foreheads touch. Then their noses. And finally their lips.

"I love you." Y/N finished, this time more softly just as their lips separated.

"I love you too." Hermione's whole expression was gentle.

Their faces moved away from each other but their arms remained in their spots, tightly embracing each other. Y/N's eyes found themselves staring at the moon which shone brightly in the night sky.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" Hermione spoke softly, reminiscing all their years together.

"I'm sure we'll able to look at it together forever." Y/N smiled, hugging her tightly to ensure she wouldn't freeze.

It was snowy and cold yet all Hermione had on was her light pink dress and Y/N's dress coat. They wouldn't be staying out for long.

"You know..." Y/N spoke up.

"I've always wanted to dance under the moonlight with you."

She laughed. And if the feeling Y/N felt hearing it could be bottled up, he'd save it for years to come.

"That's so cheesy yet romantic." Hermione smiled at him with soft eyes.

"That's because I read it from one of your books." Y/N admitted with a chuckle, slowly swaying from side to side.

He held her close and although the sky was dark and the night was cold, they felt warm. Holding each other was comparable to holding the sun. They were each other's light.

"There isn't even any music." Hermione chuckled, leaning her head onto Y/N's shoulder as they swayed in silence.

"So this is love.... mmmmm... mmmm..." Y/N began to sing out making Hermione giggle.

"So this... is love..."

Hermione had shown him old Muggle movies that she had loved, including ones with songs and Y/N had fallen in love with them.

"So this... is what makes life divine..." Y/N's voice completely fit him as a prince, causing butterflies to swarm in Hermione's stomach.

Hermione felt shivers go up her spine due to the cold. She cuddled up closer than they thought was possible as Y/N swayed with her.

"I'm all aglow... mmmmm.... mmmm... and now I know." Y/N continued after placing a gentle kiss onto Hermione's head.

"The key to all heaven... is mine..." Hermione sang along with him.

They both could hear a smile in each other's voices.

"Your turn." Y/N chuckled, closing his eyes and getting lost in the moment.

"Do I have to?" Hermione asked, closing her own.

"Mhm." Y/N replied, burying his face into the crook of her neck.

Hermione sighed playfully before giving in to Y/N's wishes. Y/N knew she was shy but she'd always do whatever made him happy.

"My heart has wings... mmmmm... mmmmm.... and I can fly." Hermione sang out softly.

She felt Y/N smile against her neck.

"I'll touch every star in the sky..."

"So this is the miracle... that I've been dreaming of..." Y/N joined her once again, their voices melting perfectly together.

"Mmmmm... mmmm...." Hermione hummed.

"Mmmmm... mmmm...." Y/N repeated.

"So this is... love..." They finished the song together with a giggle.

The two of them remained in each other's arms in silence. Both of their eyes closed just loving each other's company.

"Hey, Granger?" Y/N spoke up, breaking their silence.

Hermione hummed out a response, getting sleepy.

"If we were old enough to, I'd marry you in an instant."

"Yeah?" Hermione chuckled lightly.

"Yeah." Y/N's lips curled upwards gently into a smile.

They didn't need to share words as Hermione jumped up for Y/N to wrap his arms under her bottom, her legs wrapping just above his waist. He ended up carrying her to the Gryffindor common room that night as she slowly fell asleep in his arms.

(A/N: Mah hart. Mah sole. Belongs to these two.)

"Apparently, Dumbledore's going to be gone for a while." Hermione said as Y/N lead her through the many full compartments of the Hogwarts express.

Y/N was to spend his holidays with the Granger's once again. He didn't want to spend his Christmas break with a bunch of nasty Death Eaters.

"Harry must be losing his mind about it." Y/N chuckled sarcastically as he tried to find Draco.

Hermione went quiet. She hated it when Y/N would joke about things he was obviously bothered about. No matter how many times she or Harry would say it, Y/N would still continue to talk about all his pains as if it was alright. As if it was normal.

Y/N finally found Draco alone in a compartment.

"What's she doing here?" Draco made a face of disgust, making Hermione glare at him.

"Stop it, Draco." Y/N rolled his eyes, shutting the door behind them.

"I asked you to come alone, Y/N." Draco spoke in a low voice, clearly annoyed of his brother.

"We're a package deal. Whatever you have to say to me, you can say to Hermione." Y/N stood his ground.

Draco sighed, unable to do anything about it as Y/N took a seat next to Hermione who now had her arms folded. She and Draco never got along but both of them had to at least try and act civil to each other for Y/N's sake.

"Well?"

"He knows. Snape." Draco said, leaning close to the lovers.

"And...?" Y/N raised an eyebrow at Draco.

Of course Snape already knew of their mission. He's one of Voldemort's most trusted Death Eaters.

"Apparently mother's made the Unbreakable Vow with him. He swore to protect us." Draco revealed, watching the door to make sure no one would come in.

"Why would he do that? It doesn't make any sense." Hermione spoke up, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.

Y/N sighed, leaning back into the seat and wrapping his arm around Hermione's shoulders.

"'Mione you forget. Snape and our parents were once students too." Y/N explained, pulling her close.

"Mother and father were like older siblings to him."

"Yeah, I remember that one story mother told us once." Draco spoke with a light chuckle.

Y/N stared at him, trying to hide the smile that slowly grew on his face. Draco was actually telling Hermione stories of his parents and he seemed to be excited doing so.

"Mother and father once tried to sneak him into Hogsmeade. They were in their 6th year while he was in their 1st. It did not end up well, which was funny becau-"

Draco stopped himself when he saw the amused looks on Y/N and Hermione's face. He cleared his throat and looked away, trying to hide his now reddened face.

"Anyways- I don't want him helping us. We were chosen for this. This is our chance to prove ourselves." Draco muttered, refusing to look the two lovers in the eyes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"It was so bloody cold outside!" Y/N exclaimed as soon as he entered the Granger's house after shopping for a few missing ingredients with Hermione.

"You're being dramatic, it wasn't even snowing." Hermione laughed, getting in after him with a bag of groceries.

"Welcome home!" Mrs. Granger instantly came up to them, helping them with the groceries they had brought back.

"Oh, look at you. Even when you're freezing half to death you're still extremely handsome."

Y/N chuckled before running up behind Hermione, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Someone's daughter got lucky!" Y/N exclaimed proudly before showering Hermione's cheek and neck with kisses.

"Y/N!" Hermione scolded through giggles.

Hermione pushed Y/N's face away, making him pout.

"Don't sulk." Hermione giggled at him, placing both hands on his cheeks.

Y/N puckered his lips for Hermione to kiss. She kissed him lightly before turning to help her mother with Christmas dinner.

Y/N ran up the stairs and went straight into Hermione's room. He quickly got changed into more comfortable clothes, topping it off with a white hoodie.

As soon as he poked his head out of his hoodie, his eyes met with the window. His expression quickly turned into one of excitement.

"Lion!" Y/N shouted, running down the stairs as fast as he could.

"Careful, Y/N! You might trip!" Hermione scolded as soon as he entered the kitchen.

"'Mione it's snowing!" Y/N yelled with the widest grin.

Hermione couldn't help but laugh. It snowed a lot in Hogwarts and even more at Hogsmeade yet Y/N was excited about it.

"As if you've never seen snow before?" Hermione raised an eyebrow at him with a smile.

"Yeah but we're in the Muggle world!" Y/N exclaimed, grabbing both of Hermione's shoulders.

Hermione couldn't help but smile softly at her boyfriend. His eyes seemed to sparkle like a child's. Although his logic didn't make sense, it was adorable.

"Come on, I made us hot cocoa." Hermione pulled Y/N's hand, leading him towards the living room.

Y/N sat down, his energy dying down at the comfort of the burning fireplace. Hermione handed him a mug before taking a seat next to him, laying her head on his shoulder.

"I wish it was always this peaceful..." Hermione mumbled as Y/N rested his head against hers.

"Me too." Y/N whispered, feeling at home with her.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"It's easy for them to get to you." Hermione scolded, walking while reading a newspaper.

The Weasley's home was attacked by Death Eaters, burning it to the ground during the holidays.

Y/N walked behind Hermione, his hands on her shoulders as he guided her like a trolley.

"You're bloody lucky you weren't killed. You have to realize who you are, Harry."

"I know who I am, Hermione, alright?" Harry sighed, rolling his eyes sassily.

Hermione gave him the side eyes, giving him chills down his spine.

"Sorry."

"Lav, come on. Of course I'll wear it." They heard Ron's voice as they travelled through the crowded hall.

Y/N gagged at the sight. Lavender basically drooled over Ron. Sure, he and Hermione were an obvious couple but Ron and Lavender were all over each other. And not in a good way. It was like obsession over love.

"That's my Won-Won." Lavender squealed, patting Ron's hair.

"Excuse me, I have to go and vomit." Hermione groaned, shoving Y/N's hands off her shoulders and taking it into hers instead.

"Me too." Y/N fake gagged, following after her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I gave him poisoned mead." Draco explained, sitting on the floor of the Room of Requirements with Y/N.

"What?" Y/N stood up from the floor, picking up his wand in the process.

"To Slughorn. Don't ask how but he'll give it to Dumbledore. I know he will." Draco said, not getting off the ground.

Y/N's eyes began to fill with worry. He knew Harry often visited Slughorn, they were especially close. What if Harry were to accidentally drink it instead?

"Draco, you do know how dangerous that is?" Y/N warned, walking towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Draco questioned yet remained on the floor.

"To find my friends." Y/N stated bluntly.

"Surely you won't tell them-" Draco began to worry, thinking his brother might betray him.

"Of course not. Draco, I wouldn't let anything happen to you." Y/N said before walking out.

Y/N quickly made his way towards the Gryffindor common room. And with his luck, he saw Harry who had also just arrived.

"Harry!" Y/N called out, waved at him.

"Y/N?" Harry asked, looking at him with furrowed eyebrows.

It was already late in the night so Harry wasn't expecting Y/N to show up.

"What are you doing here?"

"Uh- To see my Granger." Y/N gulped, walking over to him.

Harry didn't question it. He didn't want to know the details.

"Have you visited Slughorn recently?" Y/N asked, following Harry into the boys dormitory instead of heading over to Hermione.

"Yeah. Actually, he waved me off." Harry dropped his shoulders.

"It's beautiful, isn't it? The moon." The two boys saw Ron staring out the window, sitting on the floor of their dorm.

"He's high." Y/N answered immediately.

Harry chuckled, studying the room.

"Had ourselves a little late-night snack, did we?" Harry pointed out all the wrappers that littered the room.

"It was on your bed, the box. I just thought I'd try one." Ron finally turned towards them.

He hugged a heart-shaped box to his chest. He was completely out of it.

"I just thought I'd try one."

"Or 20." Harry giggled.

"I can't stop thinking about her, Harry, Y/N." Ron smiled at his two friends.

"Honestly, I reckoned she was starting to annoy you." Harry added, walking over to his bed.

"She could never annoy me." Ron said, sitting really close to Harry.

"I think I love her."

"Lavender?" Y/N questioned with furrowed eyebrows.

"Of course not! Romilda Vane." Ron corrected with a dreamy smile.

"Very funny." Harry said, picking up the trash Ron left on the floor.

Ron got angry, getting off the bed and throwing the box at Harry's back.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Harry exclaimed, running his back.

"He's gone crazy." Y/N watched the two with amusement, forgetting why he had gone there in the first place.

"It's no joke! I'm in love with her!" Ron argued.

"Alright, fine! You're in love with her! Have you ever actually met her?" Harry spat, moving towards Y/N.

"No... Can you introduce me?" Ron asked excitedly.

Y/N and Harry exchanged looks. Ron had definitely gone crazy. Y/N noticed a piece of paper on the ground.

"Harry." Y/N handed him the note.

"I'm convinced that Ronald doesn't know how to read."

Harry sighed, reading the note.

"Come on, Ron. We're gonna introduce you to Romilda Vane." Harry sighed, helping him up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I'd have thought you could whip up a remedy for this in no time, Y/N and Harry." Slughorn said, mixing a few liquids in a small goblet.

"Harry insisted we take him to you." Y/N replied honestly, staring at Ron's face.

He always looked a bit stupid but right now he looked completely idiotic. He was never gonna let him live this down.

"Well, I thought this called for a more practiced hand, sir." Harry answered as Ron gave Slughorn a big hug.

Y/N giggled at him. Yeah, absolutely no way he was letting Ron forget this.

"Perhaps you're right..." Slughorn nodded at Harry.

"Come on then, Wallenby." Y/N dragged Ron away, sitting him down onto Slughorn's couch.

Y/N tuned out Harry and Slughorn's conversation, instead struggling to get Ron's arms that had managed to snake it's way around him off.

Giving up on a gentle approach, Y/N aggressively shoved him off, causing him to fall over on the couch.

"Oops." Y/N mumbled but did not regret it one bit.

"There you are, old boy. Bottoms up." Slughorn handed Ron the potion.

Ron accepted it but was suspicious of the drink.

"What's this?" He questioned.

"Tonic for the nerves." Slughorn lied.

"You'll need it to talk to Romilda." Y/N patted his back.

Ron smiled before taking a sip of the potion. He smiled for a bit but his smile slowly curled into a frown.

"What happened to me?" Ron asked in shock.

"I think you were in love, Ron." Y/N teased, taking the cup away from him.

Ron rolled his eyes, instead turning to Harry who smiled at Y/N's comment.

"Love potion." Harry chuckled.

"I feel really bad." Ron groaned, clutching his stomach.

"You need a pick-me-up, dear boy." Slughorn said, taking the cup from Y/N and heading over to his beverages.

"Got butterbeer, wine, dazzling oak-matured mead. I had other intentions for this, but I think, given the circumstances..."

Y/N's heart dropped. That was what Draco was talking about. Unable to speak due to him and Draco possibly getting expelled for knowing about the mead, all he could do was watch as Slughorn filled 4 glasses with it.

Slughorn handed all three boys a glass. Y/N stared at his drink while the other three clinked their cups together. Taking a deep breath, he drank it before they could. His tongue burned at the taste, as his whole body shook. He felt as if he was under the Cruciatus curse once more.

"Y/N!" Harry and Ron exclaimed at the same time.

Y/N couldn't speak, his throat felt blocked as he choked there on the ground.

"Professor, do something!"

"I-I don't understand!" Slughorn exclaimed.

Harry got up, searching for something in Slughorn's drawers.

Y/N continued struggling on the floor, his mouth beginning to bubble up as he shook more violently when finally he stopped. His consciousness began leaving as Harry tried shoving something into his mouth.

If that was his last moment alive. He was happy Hermione had shown him what true love was.

Just as he thought he took his final breath, the feeling of the poison wore out. Y/N coughed aggressively yet he remained laying on the ground. Harry leaned on top of Y/N, breathing deeply with a scared look on his face.

He looked around him to see Ron and Slughorn, both so shocked they couldn't move.

"Y/N- thank goodness." Harry panted with glossy eyes.

"I thought I was going to lose you too..."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A/N: I'd ship Y/N and Harry if Y/N was in the movies. Like Y/N and Hermione for life but like- Y/N and Harry kinda fruity.

I'd start calling the Y/N, Hermione, Harry and Ginny, the fruity crew. Like) Y/N and Harry??? Hermione and Ginny???
