Y/N POV:

My whole body froze as I could only watch in silence at the scene that was unfolding in front of me.  The Nayeon in this world already had a boyfriend...?  How could I possibly fulfill those 2 conditions now?  It'd be impossible to do those two tasks if she's already so happy in this world because of someone else.

They really looked like that they were in love as she affectionately hugged him. Yet... one thing bothered me though, just who was her boyfriend?  I contemplated for a long time until I finally remembered his face.  It was none other than Ra Sangwook.  I remembered Sangwook all too well.  While we weren't friends, we sometimes hung out since we both were delinquents.

As I continued to watch the two of them, Sangwook and I made eye contact for a few seconds and I felt shivers go down my spine.  His gaze was sinister and intense as a slight smirk appeared on his face for that mere instant. What was that crazy bastard thinking? Just like the wind, that evilness that I saw for that split second suddenly disappeared when he made eye contact with Nayeon once more. I headed to the bathroom because I had to process all of this.  I assume that Sangwook and Nayeon got together since we never dated in this world.

I was heading towards the sink when a strong force from behind me suddenly sent me flying towards the urinal until I finally hit it. The pain that came over me was immense. I could feel almost every part of my body that hit the floor throbbing. The snickering and laughter of multiple people could be heard from the direction that the force came from.  As I rolled around on the floor in pain, I turned my head to see who had done this.

It was Sangwook that had done this childish deed.  His friends were behind him as they locked the bathroom doors.  I should've known something was wrong when Sangwook gave me that look.  The Sangwook that was with Nayeon only a few minutes ago could not be found in the Sangwook that was in front of me.

In my eyes, Sangwook truly was a two-faced kishi.

(A/N:  A kishi is an Angolan folklore demon.)

The kishi crouched in front of me as he blew his cigarette smoke into my face.  I coughed heavily from the sudden inhalation of the second-hand smoke.  If he couldn't be even more of an ass, he flicked his cigarette ash onto my body.  I hissed in pain as some of the burning tip of the cigarette also fell onto me in the process.  What the hell did I do to deserve this damn treatment?

"So you're finally back, huh?"  He took another hit of his cigarette as I couldn't do anything but groan. "You know we missed you so much when you were gone, right?" I wish that I could've done something or just anything in that moment... but all I could do was look at the devil in front of me.  All I could do was eat the words that he was saying to me.

"Hey Sangwook!  Don't be too rough with him or else he'll be in the hospital like last time!"  One of his friends called out from behind him. Sangwook turned towards his friends and gave them a smug smile.

"It's not my fault that this little bitch couldn't handle it. We were just playing but he's too fucking weak."  Sangwook retorted.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing...  Sangwook was the reason that I was in the hospital?  Did he beat me so bad that I went into a coma for over a month...?  Just what did he even do to me?  As I was thinking about what I just heard from Sangwook and his little friends, Sangwook suddenly slapped my face when he realized I wasn't paying attention to him anymore.

"What... the fuck..." Hostility took over my voice as I glared at him. The kishi's eyes widened from surprise and he slapped me once more as he heard those words leave my lips. That slap left my cheek throbbing in pain and my head jerked back in response to the force he used. He pulled me closer towards his face until his cigarette was almost touching my chin. I could feel the slight warmth coming from the cigarette as we were staring at each other eye-to-eye.

"Did you forget that you're my fucking slave?  Why the fuck are you cussing at your master?"  He chuntered threateningly.  His eyes were burning with rage from my words.  Looking at me for a few more seconds, he let go of my uniform's collar and my head had hit the cold and dirty bathroom floor once more.  He stood back up and fixed his uniform.

"Don't you ever forget that you're a fucking loser.  Losers like you aren't fit to even glance at Nayeon. If I see you looking at Nayeon like that ever again, you won't be in a fucking month-long coma like last time.  I'll put you 6 feet in the ground next time. That's a fucking promise."

With those parting words, him and his friends left me in the bathroom all alone. I winced in pain as I got up from the bathroom floor. He did all of that just because I looked at Nayeon...? What a crazy bastard.

"Y- Y/N?!" A voice from behind me called out my name as I was fixing my uniform. I knew this voice all too well.  How could I forget the voice of the guy that was practically my brother from another mother?  It was none other than Juwon!  Looking towards my friend, he was somewhat shaking from seeing me. Out of nowhere, he had suddenly hugged me.

"What the hell Juwon?! Let me go!" I yelled as I desperately tried to pry him off of me. Juwon immediately let go of me after I said those words. From the looks of it, he got sensitive from our reunion.

"Mianhae Y/N... it's just that...you're finally back..." His voice croaked as he said those words. It seemed like he really had missed me.

"Of course man. Do you know who you're talking about right? You're talking about Casanova here!" I tried to cheer up my friend like I would back in high school. Juwon looked at me weirdly as I said that. I forgot that this reality was inconsistent with my actual life. I had almost forgotten the second cardinal rule that Zadkiel had told me.

"Uh... nevermind it was nothing." I said as I tried to brush it off. Luckily, Juwon took my word for it and just left it at that.

.

.

.

Whenever break time came around, Juwon and I spent that whole time talking and catching up with each other. It was so refreshing to talk to him like this.  Though, this Juwon was a bit... weirder than the Juwon that I knew, I didn't mind one bit.  I was just glad that Juwon and I were still friends in this universe.

"Y/N if you can, we should totally hang ou-"

"Hey Ju-weeb."

At the sound of that insult, we were met by Sangwook and his friends. How many times did I have to see him today? Even though I only saw Sangwook 2 times today, I was already tired of seeing his face.

"Ju-weeb, go get us something from the cafeteria. You know what we want right?" Sangwook condescendingly remarked. Juwon shamefully nodded as he looked down to the ground. Sangwook threw some money towards us and Juwon frantically tried his best to grab it. Sangwook snickered at the sight of this and walked away from us.

After Sangwook left, Juwon immediately got up from his chair and left the classroom. Juwon didn't tell me to come or anything yet I immediately followed after him. Finally catching up to him, Juwon reluctantly had to take me in tow. Once it was just the two of us alone, I suddenly blew up from what I had just witnessed.

"Juwon, what the hell was that?!" My voice raised an octave as my face contorted with rage. I suddenly grabbed his uniform's collar and pulled his face close to mine. Despite my sudden aggression towards him, he never got angry at me. It was strange, really, as he just gave me a small grin in the spur of this moment.

"We're just getting them snacks Y/N. It's nothing serious."

"Yeah, but they coul-"

"I'm doing this not because I want to... I just don't want anything to happen to either of us again."

Juwon's whole demeanor changed as those words left his lips. Staring into his eyes, I could tell that they were full of hidden melancholy. I was a loss for words... 'Again?' Was he doing this because he was trying to protect us from Sangwook in a way? Was he worried that something like that one-month coma would happen again? I couldn't bring myself to remain angry at him. I felt like the asshole here as I tried to get mad at my friend for trying to protect the both of us. I let go of his collar and looked towards the ground. A cowardly guy like me was unfit to look at his best friend in his eyes. Like the saint that he was, Juwon didn't get angry or upset at me.

"Y/N, don't worry. One day Sangwook will get what's coming to him." Juwon said as he patted my back. He then started to walk towards the cafeteria again.

"As thanks to you, my dear friend. I'll protect you in this world." I muttered under my breath as I watched Juwon walk ahead of me. For the Juwon that had stood by my side for almost all my life, I vowed to myself that I'd protect this Juwon in this world.

.

Although we didn't want to, we bought the snacks and brought it back to Sangwook into his classroom. He seemed contempt that we listened to his commands.

"Just like obedient little dogs." Sangwook said as he snatched the snacks from us.

He raised his hand as if he was about to do hit us, but Nayeon suddenly entered his classroom. That raised hand immediately was used to playfully pat both Juwon and I on the back. The kishi that was standing before us had transformed into an angel before his girlfriend.

"B- babe! What are you doing here?" Sangwook stuttered as he looked at her.

============================

3rd Person POV:

Nayeon was a bit confused as to why Sangwook was acting like this when she just wanted to see him. Was it too much to just see the boyfriend that you loved so much? Her eyes looked to where Sangwook's hands were and her gaze fell upon both you and Juwon. To her surprise, she hadn't even realized that you were suddenly back from school. You, who've always been a close family friend, had finally gotten better from the coma that you unexpectedly gotten.

As she stared at you, you couldn't help but look at her too.  Even in different realities and worlds, she was the prettiest girl that your eyes had ever laid on. Your foolish heart began to beat rapidly as it saw the girl that it loved so much.  How would it feel if it knew that she didn't love you back in this world?

"I just wanted to say 'hey' to you. I couldn't find you when break time started." Nayeon told the stuttering demon. Sangwook tried to quickly find an excuse until he realized that he had his two 'friends' here with him.

"I was just hanging out with my friends Juwon and Y/N here. Isn't that right guys?" He happily replied as he tightly gripped you two's shoulders. He wanted you two to play along and you knew better than to make Sangwook angry. After all, there wasn't any point in causing any unnecessary trouble for both you and Juwon.

"Yeah... that's right Nayeon." You awkwardly rubbed your nape and forced out a laugh. Feeling satisfied that you played along, Sangwook let go of both of your shoulders and you took that opportunity to get as far away from him as possible. Dragging Juwon through the hallways of the school, the two of you finally hid by the stairways. Catching your breaths, Juwon was the first one to speak up.

"Thank god for Nayeon... if she wasn't there, he would've hit us.." Juwon said in between short breaths.  As much as you hated to admit it, Juwon was right.  Without Nayeon there, they both would've gotten another senseless beating from Sangwook himself.

"How did Nayeon end up with Sangwook anyway?"  From what you could remember from your high-school days, Nayeon constantly shut down Sangwook every time he tried to pursue her.  You wondered what he did to have won her heart in this world.  It really baffled you as you tried to come up with a good answer.

You heard some muffled chuckling coming from your friend as you asked that. Was he laughing at your question or was he laughing about something else? You looked over at your friend confused. Just what was so funny about your question?

"You never fail to ask that question Y/N, you know?" Juwon said as he leaned his head back against the wall.  "Why didn't you do it first?" You genuinely had no idea what Juwon was talking about.  What did he mean by 'do it first?'

"W- what...?  Why didn't I do what first?"

"Confess to Nayeon first, you pabo!  You've been childhood friends with Nayeon for how long and you still hadn't confessed!"

"E- Eh?!"

.

.

.

While the school day was almost at its end, you couldn't think of anything else expect for what Juwon had said for the rest of the day. You wondered why you never confessed to her in this universe whenever you had the chance to.  Surely there was a good reason right?  It also surprised you that you were actually her childhood friend too.  As you thought about Juwon's words over and over again, you didn't realize that someone had been calling your name for nearly a minute now.

"Earth to Pabo Y/N!"

Hearing those words suddenly awakened you from your stupor as you suddenly looked around to see who had called your name. Realizing that no one around you had called your name, you faced your face towards the teacher to pay attention to the teacher's lectures again. As your eyes faced towards the front, your eyes met Nayeon's face as you realized that she was turned around in her desk and looking at you.

"N- Nayeon!?"

You were caught off guard since you didn't know that it was Nayeon calling you. Since this morning's incident, you thought that she just didn't want to talk to you, but you guess that you were wrong.  She laughed a bit at your surprised face whenever you said that.

"Why did you make me call you like 1 million times?!" She pouted a bit as she asked that.

"Mianhae... I wasn't paying attention..." You murmured embarrassedly.

"Aish, it's okay. But you have to buy me a Gamja hotdog if you're actually sorry!" A playful smirk formed onto her face as you quietly nodded and smiled back.  "So it's a promise!  We'll go eat it after school then!"

How could you ever say no to that beautiful smile?  If she had a wish, then her wish would always be your command.

The bell shortly rang afterwards and you sheepishly followed Nayeon.  The two of you were almost out the classroom until Sangwook arrived at the classroom door.  Nayeon smiled once she saw her boyfriend and that made your heart sting a bit.  Sangwook saw you behind her but he only greeted Nayeon.

"Annyeong Nayeon."  He gently grabbed her hand and kissed the top of it.  Nayeon bashfully giggled as he did this.  Her cheeks became rosy as a small smile appeared on her face.  How romantic of the kishi to do this for the girl he loves.

"Annyeong Sangwook."

"What are you doing now?  Do you want to go somewhere with me?"

While Sangwook's question was purely innocent, you couldn't help but feel a bit sour.  Even though Nayeon wanted to say 'yes of course!' to Sangwook's question, she remembered that she had promised to go eat Gamja hotdog with you after school.  As much as she cared for her boyfriend, she also cared deeply for you as well.

It's funny how the heavens designed the two of you for each other.  Even in the different universes and worlds that existed, the two of you would always be bound to meet each other one way or another.  For this world, the two of you had met since both of your families had been close even before the two of you were born.  Once the two of you were born, you practically grew up with each other.  Any celebrations, whether major or minor, were spent at either your house or at Nayeon's house.  Hell, sometimes you guys went on one big family vacation with each other!

While the two families spent more time together, your feelings for Nayeon also grew as well.  However, it was a shame really.  The Y/N in this world wasn't as audacious as the Y/N who had reincarnated into this world.  He wasn't able to tell his feelings and, as a result, had lost his first love to the devil himself.

"Mianhae Sangwook, but I promised Y/N that we'd go eat Gamja hotdogs together after school."

Hearing Nayeon's words, Sangwook felt enraged that she'd choose you over her own boyfriend.  It just didn't make sense to the kishi himself!  As much as he wanted to tell her 'no,' he reluctantly let her do that. After all, he wanted to look like the perfect boyfriend in front of Nayeon.

"It's fine babe.  I'll just see you tomorrow, ne?"  Sangwook gave her an insincere smile before giving her a kiss on the cheek.  "See you later Nayeon."  He then turned to face you.  "And you too, Y/N."

You knew that he didn't mean an ounce of those words at all, but you still said your goodbyes to him too.  Both you and Nayeon walked out of the school and Sangwook just watched the two of you as you got further and further away.  When Sangwook couldn't see Nayeon anymore, he took his anger out on the nearest locker.  Punching the locker a few times, he finally stopped until he was nearly out of breath.

"Song Y/N... you better fucking watch yourself..."  Sangwook angrily muttered as his fist balled from rage.

Now the two-faced kishi was angered even more.  For the first time in his life, he felt threatened by someone, who he viewed as below him.

.

.

.

You and Nayeon were walking side-by-side on the way to the Gamja hotdog stand by her house.  Much wasn't said because you were unsure of how to start a conversation with her.  After all, how could you do such a thing?  It's been 6 years since you last had a proper conversation with her after all.

"So..."  Nayeon spoke up as she couldn't stand the complete silence.  "When did you get out of the hospital?"  Nayeon had no idea what to say either.

"I got out last weekend..."

"Are you alright though?"  Nayeon stopped in her tracks and you turned your head to look back at her.  She was looking down at the ground and you could see that parts of the sidewalk were becoming damp from her tears.  You walked back towards her and you lifted her chin so you could see her eye-to-eye.  Your heart raced as you looked at her damp eyes.  Even when she was crying, she was still so beautiful in your eyes.

"Of course, I'm alright, pabo.  Why wouldn't I be?" You felt a little guilty because you forgot how sensitive Nayeon was about things like this. Even if you didn't know much about the coma itself, you definitely knew how to comfort Nayeon.

"Now what would Sangwook do if he was here now?  He'd probably beat me up because I'm not properly taking care of you right now."  You smiled as you messed up her hair a bit.  Nayeon laughed and had cheered up from the 'jokes' that you were saying about Sangwook.

.

.

.

Finally arriving at the Gamsa hotdog stand, you both got your hotdogs after you paid for them as you promised.  Quietly watching her enjoy her food, you couldn't help but laugh at the sight of her eating it.  She just looked like a bunny as she ate it.

"Yah, quit laughing at me!  You're so mean to me Y/N!"  Nayeon hit your back and that made you laugh even harder now.

"Well, I can't help it!  You look so much like a bunny whenever you eat!"

Spending more and more time at the Gamsa hotdog stand helped the tension between the two of you slowly disappear. The two of you just spent the whole time talking to each other.  Truthfully, it was just Nayeon who did most of the talking as you just listened to everything that she had to say.

Yet, you didn't even care if you didn't talk that much.  Just being able to talk to her about these things made you so happy inside.  You really missed talking to her like this as she went on and one about everything that she could remember off the top of her head.  Just as the two of you were finally warming up to each other, you realized that it was getting late after you checked the time.

While both parties didn't want to admit it, they both were disappointed that they couldn't talk for any longer.  For Nayeon, she wanted to talk to her childhood best friend more.  But for you, you wanted to talk to your crush more.  It was a shame that today had to end so suddenly, yet it was fun for the both of you.

"Hey, Nayeon..."

"Hmm?"

"Did you become a K-Pop trainee at JYP now?"  You asked that as you were walking her to her house right now.  Even if this was a different reality, you constantly has thought about that since that her dream from the world that you came from.  Nayeon stopped walking as she heard those words.

"H- How did you k- know that?"  Nayeon stuttered as she became visibly perplexed.  You were a little thrown off by her question too.  Why was she freaking out a bit?  "I hadn't told anyone that I even snuck to and passed their audition yet!  So how did you even know that I was a trainee now!?"

"Oh shit..."

Those were the only two words that you could think about as she revealed her secret to you.  You were in a stupor as you could only stare at her with no response.  How were you supposed to know that!?

"U- uh... just my intuition haha..."  You awkwardly said as you scratched your non-itchy nape.  You were sweating bullets because you didn't know that she hadn't told anyone yet!  Now you and Nayeon were both speechless as you both couldn't say anything from shock and fear. The only thing that you could do now was just calm her down.

"Listen Nayeon, I won't tell anyone about you being a trainee alright?  Just tell your parents whenever you're comfortable."  You grabbed her shoulders as you looked her in the eyes.  You knew that her parents were probably the reason why she was hiding this secret.  Well... it was mostly her mother actually.

"You promise?" Her eyes glistened a bit from the night sky and you couldn't help but stare.

"Of course... you know I wouldn't do that Im."

Hearing those words, she calmed down a bit as she trusted you with her secret that nobody else knew. You two walked for a few minutes longer until you both reached the gate. You watched Nayeon as she went into the gate and she said goodnight to you as you said it back to her.

After she had went into the house, you sighed in disappointment as you began your walk back home. You wished that the two of you had spent more time together, but you were more than thankful for the opportunity to be with her like this again. Thinking back to the memories that you made with her, you felt your heart's flame grow warmer.

HONK, HONK

You suddenly turned your head to the direction of the car that honked at you. The car was a brand new white Porsche 718 Cayman and you couldn't help but gawk at the expensive sports car right in front of you.

The Cayman slowly pulled up besides you before the passenger window rolled down. Of course you should've guessed that it was none other than Zadkiel in the car. It must be nice being one of God's archangels.

"Y/N, get in the car. We have a lot to talk about."

You didn't even think for a second more after you heard Zadkiel say 'get in.' You excitedly got into the passenger seat of the car as Zadkiel began to drive off again shortly.

The drive was quiet, but you didn't care. You were just excited for driving in a nice sports car like this! Of course Zadkiel didn't pick you up so that the two of you could go on a joyride, he picked you up because he wanted to know about today.

"So Y/N, tell me everything about what happened for Day 1." Zadkiel said as he kept his eyes on the road. "Did you expect things to be this way?"
