Adrien couldn't sleep, it was cold that night and he was wrapped up in Lukas jacket. He couldn't take it off, he was craving the warmth of the boys hug. Nathalie was right, he had it bad. Real bad.
He just lay there, looking up at the roof with Lukas jacket wrapped around him thinking about... well everything. How pretty Luka was, how he always smelled so nice, his calming voice, his talent for music. Everything about him was so perfect.
He'd been so wrapped up in Luka and the bisexual realisation that he'd completely forgotten about ladybug. Of course he still cared for his partner, but after their relationship got a little rocky since she became guardian and he came out to himself... he just kind of moved on. Surprising really, since he was so obsessed before. But he just couldn't get Luka off his mind. The fact he was Viperion too, such a good miraculous weirder and kind hero. He was hung up.
He wanted to hug him, just lay together under the stars on the deck of his houseboat. He wanted to kiss him, shy at first but more deep and passionate the second time. He wanted to feel his breath against his neck when whispering sweet nothings into each others ears. Was this the gay yearning Nathalie told him about? Even though you're bi sometimes you just feel so strongly for the same gender it hurts. Adrien couldn't put into words how much he wanted to just... hold him.
He groaned in annoyance and rolled over to look out the window, at the stars over the sky of Paris.
"Geez kid what's got you so torn up?" Plagg spoke up.
"Luka" Adrien replied.
"Oh finally over Ladybug huh? I knew you'd find someone new eventually"
"I'm just... like- uh... UGHH Damnit Plagg I'm so BI"
Plagg couldn't help but snicker at Adriens gay panic. Although the yearning was different this time, a lot different to how he used to yearn for ladybug. This time it seemed so much more deep and meaningful, those feelings coming from his soul and screaming out for more.
"You are Cat Noir you know? You can sneak out to go see him" Plagg mentioned.
"He doesn't know I'm cat noir though" Adrien replied.
"He's a smart boy, I'm sure he'll figure it out. Technically you aren't telling him he's just figuring it out"
Adrien was unaware of the events of wishmaker. Luka did know he was Cat Noir, just hadn't said anything yet. They knew each other's identities but weren't aware of it.
"Maybe I can convince ladybug to make him a permanent miraculous holder? Then we can see each other whenever" Adrien pondered.
"I think it'll take more than that to convince her. But he would be a good permanent holder, he's got a very useful power" Plagg replied.
The warmth Lukas jacket gave him was killing him inside. He just wanted to be with him, so badly. And yet, he hadn't even come out to him yet...
Did Luka even feel the same way?
Unbeknownst to Adrien, he did.
For weeks now Luka had been loosing sleep over his problem. He promised Marinette that he'd get her closer to Adrien, but he'd gone and fallen for Adrien himself. He still cared for Marinette even if they'd broken up. They were still friends and all. He didn't want to hurt her but he couldn't just push his feelings away.
"Oh my GOD Luka stop pacing around it's keeping me awake"
He almost jumped when he heard his sisters voice and turned to see her in the doorway.
"Oh, sorry" he replied.
"What are you even doing up so late?" Jueleka asked.
"Internally dying what does it look like?"
They were twins, extremely close twins. They told each other everything, so when Jules could see her brother was upset over something she immediately jumped into action.
"Alright, spit it out, what's wrong?" She asked, letting herself in and sitting at his desk.
"Promise you won't tell anyone... well maybe mum and dad is ok but not anyone at school yet" Luka asked.
"Ok? Not like I talk much at school anyway..."
Luka sighed, flopping back into his pillows. He looked up at the Bi flag on his roof and figured he should just get it all out to someone he trusted.
"You know how I promised Marinette I'd help her get closer to Adrien?" Luka began.
"Yeah? Oh... oh fuck-" Jueleka replied, catching on really quickly.
"Yeah..."
"Oh damn Luka you've gotten yourself into one hell of a situation"
"I KNOW! But he's just so... I don't know... perfect? I can't help it, every time we see each other and he rushes over to hug me my heart just soars. And he takes all my music seriously, we talk for hours about anything and everything, I can vent to him, he's pretty, he's kind, he's... he's-"
"Your dream man?" Jueleka teased.
"Yeah... what is it with us and blondes?" Luka sighed.
His twin snickered, she had a blonde girlfriend, Luka had a crush on a blonde boy. It seemed to run in the family to like blondes.
"Blondes are pretty" she said.
"They are, god Adriens so perfect! I get why Marinette likes him so much. I don't want to hurt her I really don't, but I can't just ignore my feelings you know? You have no idea how hard it is not to kiss that boy" Luka rambled.
Jueleka was friends with Marinette too, in fact she was in the girl group with her. She cared for Marinette too, but she cared for her brother more.
"Luka?" She began.
"Yeah?"
"Go for him"
"Huh? But Mari-"
"She's a big girl! She'll get over it. She knows full well that she can't control who Adrien falls for and if he falls for you then that's out of her control. She knows that" Jueleka explained.
"I feel bad, it's like I'm betraying her" Luka sighed.
"You let people walk all over you too much Luka. Do something for yourself for a change, take what you want for once. Marinette might be a bit stung at first but she knows she can't control Adriens heart, and she'll get over it. She'll find someone else, maybe we can even push her toward someone else if she needs it. But seriously Lu, just do something you want for once" she assured.
He thought for a moment, taking in his sisters words. She understood things on a deeper level being queer too, and being his twin. She was right, he did let people push him around a lot. He really should just take what he wants for once in his life. And it was true that Adrien was the one who got to pick, Marinette can't control him. Who knows maybe she'll confess and get rejected anyway? If Adrien falls for Luka, then he falls for Luka. There's no way around him. You can't control another persons heart.
Marinette did need to remember that sometimes.
"Yeah... yeah you're right. I need to just do something for myself for once. I should just... go for it" Luka said.
"He does like boys right?" Jueleka asked.
"He hasn't come out yet but I can tell. You should hear him talk about some of the models he's worked with he's practically drooling over them"
Call it a hunch, or just Lukas really good gaydar but he knew. Adrien was definitely bi and he didn't want to push him to come out or anything, but he knew that if he were to move in on him his chances of a relationship were there.
"You have always had a good gaydar" Jueleka snickered.
"I know, it's a skill of mine. You know who else I think is totally gay?"
"Who?"
"Nathalie, you know Adriens basically step mum?" Luka admitted.
"Oh her! Yeah she likes girls, she just... has that vibe" his twin agreed.
"The other day Adrien told me some stories about Nathalie and his mum and that's when I just... knew. I bet she liked her but Emilie ended up marrying Adrien's shit dad"
Jueleka knew the feeling of falling for a seemingly straight girl all too well, that shit hurt.
"Oof, that hurts. That hurts real bad" she said.
"Oh I know. I wish some people I've met were gay"
