Liah pov
"Jahseh, why are you keeping things from me?"I asked as I stared down at Xiorra, she was fast asleep in my arms
"w-what?"He stuttered looking down at his fingers
"Tell me what happened with my parents"I said
"Oh, right um look Liah..I don't wanna stress you out-"
"Jahseh, nothing can stress me out anymore"I smiled down at Xiorra
He nodded "well they're okay, they both shot each other you're mom is on the 7th floor and you Dad is on the 10th"
I quickly looked at him "That's where people in comas be"I said
"He's currently unresponsive Li"He replied
I nodded and shook my head "well, like I said nothing can stress me out anymore.."
Suddenly Jahseh stood up and walked towards us. "I love both of you so much"He brushed Xiorra's small cheek with is thumb
"And we love too"I smiled up at him
"Her feeding time is 30 minutes"I added
Jahseh nodded and continued to look at Xiorra. I squinted my eyes at Jahseh and noticed a bit of an energy shift. He hasn't looked me in the eyes for a while and he always makes eye contact with me. In fact, he's been acting weird since he got that phone call earlier.
"Everything okay?"I asked him
He didn't answer, his eyes were on Xiorra he was zoned out. I waved my hand in his face causing him to blink multiple times.
"Huh?"He asked, finally looking me in the eyes
"I asked was everything okay?"I replied
"Yeah, Yeah! everything's perfect"He smiled
"Jah, I know you just as much as you know me..who called you earlier?"
"Stokeley"He answered, almost immediately
"Well, what did he say because you've been acting weird"
"John, contacted him and said that..you know..congratulations"He nodded
"Welllll, why didn't John just call you to tell you that? doesn't he have your phone number?"I asked him
"Yeah, but he-"
"Jahseh, I've learned a lot of things while being with you and one of them is you lie just to spare my feelings, come on we need to be more mature...no more lies remember?" I uttered
"Yeah, so that wasn't Stokeley on the phone"he sighed

Billie, Stokeley, Gazzy, DJ, Linda and I are currently shopping at the mall for Xiorra, Since she surprised the fuck outta everyone by coming in this world early.
"Oh my god look! Isn't it cute?"Linda held up a little outfit that had polka dots all over it
"What the hell is even that?"Gazzy said to her
Linda rolled her eyes and looked at Me and Billie. "You guys think it's cute?"she asked
"First of all the shit is too big...and no it's not cute" I shrugged

"Y'all seriously need to stop"Billie said

"Liah? say something"I sighed
She remained quiet as she looked down at Xiorra. I just told her everything Jenesis told me, I didn't wanna lie to her at all. but she's been quiet for at less five minutes now and each second that goes by the more nervous I got.
"What am I suppose to say? I mean she might be telling the truth"Liah shrugged
"No, she's lying...why would she tell me this a day after our daughter is born?"I questioned
"I don't know Jahseh, but thank you"she smiled lightly
"For what?"
"Telling me the truth, I can tell you're evolving"she said
She blinked her eyes a few times before looking at me. "If that is your child-"
"It's not"I stated
"You don't know that Jahseh, If she is pregnant and If it is your baby...you wouldn't disowned it would you?"she asked
"Liah, I was drugged...that's basically a rape baby-"
"Jahseh, If she really did rape you and drugged you..why didn't you go to the cops?"She asked
"I don't mess with the police and you know that"I said
"That's not a good excuse Jah-"
Suddenly we heard knocking on the door. "Knock, Knock, Knock...hey! how's she doing?"The nurse asked, her country accent bounced off the walls
"She's doing good"Liah answered
"Okay gooood!"The nurse smiled widely as she walked over to the sink to wash her hands "I'm just gonna check her vitals and her heart beat quick y'all"
She dried off her hands and walked towards us. "Okay mama since she's already in your arms can you hold her up on your shoulder a little bit?"
Liah held her up over her shoulder as the nurse carefully placed the stethoscope on Xiorra's back.
I looked at Liah and she was already staring at me but she quickly looked away. She smiled up at the nurse and started talking to her. That look she just gave me, was the same look she gave when she broke up with me.
Jenesis pov
I tossed my phone on my couch "I'm so annoyed"
"He's still not answering the phone?"Tay asked typing away on the computer
"No, I think he might've blocked me" I shrugged
"Tuh, bet...just wait till I contact his mom"Tay chuckled
My eyes widened "you found his mom? how?!"I jumped up and walked towards her. I looked on the screen and saw on a woman's instagram page
"Cleo_ohsojazzy? That's his mom?"I asked
"Yup"Tay smiled at computer with an accomplished expression
"Damn, I'm not gay but if I were..."I smirked
"Shut up Jen, anyways come figure out what you want to tell her and how you're going to tell her..I gotta run a few errands"Tay got up from the computer

"I forgave you for that situation a long time ago Jahseh"I said

We heard multiple knocks at the door "come in"I said aloud
Ayleks, Linda, Billie, Stokeley, Gazzy and DJ loudmouse?
"Hey! we got stuff for Xiorra"Linda said

Jahseh reached his arms out wanting Xiorra. I carefully handed her to him.
Stokeley handed me a bag full of baby clothes. I pulled out the first baby shirt and chuckled.
"Oh my god this is so cute!"I cooed
"I know right? haha"Stokeley chuckled
"It's aight"Gazzy shrugged
I searched inside the bag and pulled out another one.
"My dad is cool but my godfather is gangster cool"I chuckled reading aloud
Jahseh gave him a playful glare "Really nigga?"
Stokeley did a lil shoulder dance before laughing again "ayeee. It's a lot more in there"

After everyone left, I looked at Liah and she chuckled "They are such good friends"she said
I nodded "yeah, they are"
She sighed as she looked at the tv, her facial expression changed quickly. "Jahseh, is that our apartment?"
I looked at the TV and saw the new was on. I grabbed the remote turned it up.
"The police said after the shooting that happened between Liah Williams parents..3 men broke into the apartment and left writings all over the wall..neighbors noticed the men running out of the apartment and called the police"
"What? why nobody told us that shit!"I pulled out my phone and dialed the police station number.
Sonny pov
"I need a girlfriend..I'm a horny fuck"Scar chuckled
I shook my head and looked down. We were on our rooftop smoking and I could tell he was feeling good.Scar's laugh came to a quick end when he saw my face.
"Hey, you okay? you been acting weird all day"Scar said
"Liah had the baby yesterday"I mumbled

"No, he's jealous and insecure..why would she wanna put up with somebody like that? he's toxic as hell"
"Look Sonny, I know you like her but she's with Jahseh and she loves him.. I mean he traveled all the way to Cuba just to save her..he didn't wait on the police or fbi...tell me that's not real love Sonny?"Scar asked
I didn't answer him I just continued to look down. He pat my back and stood up "you'll get over her, trust me we all eventually get over our crushes"
"Yeah, you right"
"I'm gonna go back inside with our bitch ass parents"Scar added before going back into the house
"What is it about her?"I asked myself
I stood up and made my way back into the attic and into my room. I collapsed on my bed and took a deep breath.
I reached over and grabbed my phone. I bit my lip trying to think...should I text her? I mean I'm just saying congratulations.

While Jahseh was in the hallway, on the phone cussing out the police. I looked on my phone and saw Sonny just text me.
Jahseh came back inside the room. With an angry facial expression causing me to sit up. "What happened Jah?"
"Talking bout 'oh sir we were gonna inform you' no the fuck they wasn't"He said
"Jahseh stop cussing"
"Now they want me to go to our apartment to check and see if anything is missing"Jahseh sat down
"Okay, when do they need you there?"I asked
"Now, but I'm not leaving you"He shrugged
"Jahseh. I'll be fine...you need to go find out what's going on at our apartment"I said
"I'm not leaving you Liah- you just gave birth what I look like just leaving you here?"
"I'm fine there's plenty of nurses and guards around"I sighed
"I don't wanna leave you or Xiorra here alone..Liah I wanted to ask you something earlier but your phone started ringing and we both got distracted"Jahseh clenched his jaw
"What is it?"
"You love me right?"He asked
"Of course I do.."
He stood up and walked towards the bed. He looked me in the eyes and sat next to me.
"Remember when you first moved into the neighborhood? and my mom, me and Aiden came to invite you and Toya to our house for dinner? when I saw you I immediately felt something go through my body like the feeling of euphoria and premonition...it was like love at first sight, I knew we were gonna be together"He sighed, I noticed his eyes was getting watery

"Liah, I know I will never have that feeling with no other woman but you...and right now I don't care about the shooting, Jenesis, or the apartment just you and Xiorra. Now that she's here I'm 50 percent happy and I'll be 100 percent happy if you could do me this one favor"He said

He got up from the bed still holding eye contact with me. He reached in his back pocket and slowly got on one knee.
He pulled out a box and opened it revealing a engagement ring. "Will you please...marry me?"he asked a tear came down his right eye
