THIRD PERSON
"You are fired!"
"This is trash."
"Disgusting."
"You're annoying and you're fired."
"Imbecile."
"Get out of my sight!"
"Hire another smart and worthwhile human."
"Get lost!"
Those words are coming out of the mouth of the President of KM Group.
Jennie Ruby Jane Kim is a ravishing woman with a very nice body that anyone would drool over. To add to that, she is a very rich woman who can buy your whole life.
She is from the Kim family, known as the second richest family in the whole world. They have been in second place for a lot of years now.
All of the employees of KM Group are standing in line, waiting for their President to take a seat on her throne so they can start the meeting.
Before the meeting even started, there were lots of people who had already lost their jobs, and now they are hiring again.
"You can start now." Jennie sat comfortably on her throne with her legs crossed.
She leaned back against the backrest of her swivel chair, tapping her expensive golden pen on the table.
A lot of male employees are secretly glancing and admiring their exceptionally stunning president.
Many men have already tried to grab her attention, but none of them has managed to do it, especially since the woman is always busy and focused on her source of a large amount of money.
All of a sudden, President Kim threw her pen in front, which made the presentor stop presenting.
Her secretary quickly handed her another new golden pen. She opened the file and showed her boss what the hell the presentor was talking about.
"We lost 10% profit, so the marketing department thought of a solution on how to bring back the money that we lost. However, my opinion on this matter is that I disagree with their proposal, especially when we will need to spend a large amount of money with no assurance that it will be successful. " The admirable and talented secretary said as she pointed out every mistake in the proposal that the Marketing Department made.
President Kim's secretary, Lalisa Pranpriya, is always mistaken as being a wealthy investor by the employees, that's why they treat her like a VIP.
When they learned that Lalisa was President Kim's secretary, they were shocked and didn't expect it. Someone who had an amazing visual that passed everyone's standards, both female and male, was just a secretary.
They thought that Lalisa should be a boss, not just a secretary.
The President furrowed her eyebrows when she read the proposal that the secretary handed her.
She handed back the file, and her secretary ripped it into pieces as a sign that it was trash.
"You heard her, this meeting is adjourned." Jennie stood up from her seat and walked out of the meeting room, her secretary following behind.
If you see the President and her secretary walking, you might think that you are watching a runaway because of their visuals and outfits.
Both of them are fashionistas and never fail to pull off an outfit.
It's only been six days since the President changed, and it's only been six days since her secretary started working under her care.
"You need to go to the construction site to see the progress and check if everything is going as planned. Then you have fifteen minutes of free time before you have a lunch meeting with the Park Law Firm. " President Kim's secretary reminded her.
"Okay." Jennie replied shortly.
As soon as they stepped out of the Kim Enterprise building, her secretary opened the car door for Jennie, and she swiftly went inside.
Her secretary sat in the passenger seat, and the car drove off.
Before Jennie even spoke, her secretary handed her the Ipad and poured her a glass of wine.
Her secretary never failed to impress her with her skills and attentiveness. She has only been working for her for six days, but it looks like they have been working for years just based on how everything has been going smoothly ever since her grandfather hired Lalisa as her secretary.
Ring! Ring!
"Ms. Kim, your mother was calling and wished to talk to you to discuss the matter of your visiting her and her husband." Lalisa informed her boss.
"Give her an excuse." Jennie responded as she enjoyed her wine while reading her emails.
"Hello, Mrs. Kim, it's me, Lalisa, your daughter's secretary. I apologize, but Ms. Kim can't talk on the phone right now because we are experiencing a problem and she is busy fixing it. Yes...I understood, I will tell her you called. Have a good day, Mrs. Kim." Lalisa ended the call at that precise moment, and they arrived at their destination at that precise moment.
Lalisa went down first in the car and opened the car door for Jennie before the driver did. She carried Jennie's purse as well as the IPad.
They went together to the construction site. Lalisa looked around to check everything, and she took some photos of it for future purposes.
"I suggest you wear a safety helmet, Ms. Kim." "Lalisa she said as she held two safety helmets for her and her boss.
"It will ruin my hair." Jennie replied coldly, and she waited for the engineer to arrive.
Lalisa just shook her head in disbelief. She had already gotten used to her boss since she had always received a cold treatment ever since she started working for her.
"Where is that engineer?" Jennie tapped her heels impatiently.
"Ms. Kim!" The engineer ran towards them and politely bowed.
He is wearing a jumpsuit, no shirt inside, and it's kind of showing his body since it's not zipped from bottom to top.
"I believe, Mister, that you are wearing an inappropriate outfit." "Lalisa I said, earning a glare from the engineer, and she looked at him coldly. "It's revealing and unpleasant to our eyes, especially to Ms. Kim, who clearly doesn't have an interest in your body and you."
Before even the engineer fired back, Jennie spoke.
"You are fired." Jennie covered her nose and looked at the engineer in disgust. She walked back to the car.
"You are sweaty and stinky." Lalisa informed the engineer, then she followed her boss.
Jennie waited for Lalisa to open the door for her, which the latter quickly did. The driver started the car and drove away.
"You have half an hour to rest, Ms. Kim." Lalisa told Jennie, but that didn't earn a response.
She glances at the rear view to see her boss comfortably seated in the back seat with her eyes closed.
The driver rolls up the separator to give their boss some privacy.
"Did you already eat lunch?" Bambam asked.
Kunpimook Bhuwakul Bambam, he was supposed to be a finance employee, but Jennie assigned him to be her driver since he was good at it and she felt comfortable every time Bambam was the one driving the car.
Lalisa and Bambam became friends because they always saw each other, and they sometimes had a chance to get to know each other since they were always together.
When Bambam learned that Lalisa was pure Thai, he immediately made friends with her.
"Not yet." Lalisa answered without looking at him because she was busy sorting out the files.
"You might pass out if you didn't," Bambam told her.
"I hope I will, so I will have a reason why I can't work for a day." She motioned for Bambam to not talk when she felt her phone vibrate.
It's an alarm, not a phone call. She rolled down the separator to see her boss's condition.
"She fell asleep." Bambam said, and he rolled up the separator again. "What are you going to do now?"
"Cancel it." Lalisa deeply sighed and called the secretary of the owner of the Park Law Firm.
Bambam just stayed quiet and felt pity for her friend because ever since Lalisa worked at Kim Enterprise, she hadn't seen her taking a break or eating properly.
She barely naps because her boss is demanding and a workaholic. As the secretary, she has to always be on her boss's side and do her stuff, such as helping and lightening her boss's work.
Even though her job is demanding and hard, she will receive a large amount of salary that can cover her apartment rent expenses for two months and buy something for her empty apartment.
Bambam and Lalisa waited for their boss to wake up, which took three hours. Lalisa is done sorting out the papers, and she just needs to wait for her boss to wake up to sign them.
Jennie knocked on the window, and Lalisa, who was standing outside, opened the door for her boss.
"Your meeting with the Parks has been adjusted and it will happen next week. The only thing you need to do the whole day is sign some papers. " Lalisa followed her boss from behind.
"I'm hungry." Jennie told her secretary.
"Your food was already delivered six minutes ago." Lalisa replied, earning a nod from Jennie.
She walked Jennie to her office and prepared everything that her boss might need before she went down from her boss's office floor.
Her boss appreciates it because it is private and she prefers silence. Therefore, she always leaves her every time Jennie is in her office, so she won't hear any noise coming from her.
Since Jennie didn't need her, she ran to the cafeteria to have lunch or else she would pass out like what Bambam told her.

LALISA
I was having lunch with Bambam and Seulgi, two friends I met during my six days at KM Group.
They are both working here at Kim Enterprise; Bambam as Jennie's driver and Seulgi as the technician in the computer department.
"How's work?" Seulgi asked me as she watched me eating a stack of food.
"Busy." I will answer shortly.
"You know, I praised and respected you for being able to catch up with your demanding boss, who doesn't know what rest is." She looked at me in amazement.
"In case you forgot, I don't have a choice but to get used to it or else I will lose my only source of income." I stole her sausage and she put all her sausage in my food tray.
"But, she literally gives you a hard time and always gives you a cold shoulder. I think thanking someone was not in her vocabulary. "
"Bear, my work is not that bad and not that good, but I can manage and handle it. This work is paying a lot, and I think my job pays more than yours and Bambam's." They nodded in agreement.
"You deserve a high salary, after all." Bambam said.
"Did Ms. Kim make you do some personal stuff for her?" Seulgi inquired.
"Lisa knows Ms. Kim's family matters; she has even become close to Mrs. Kim." Bambam answered instead of me.
"Do you know any stuff about Ms. Kim that people don't know yet?" Seulgi, as well as Bambam, inquired, their eyes wide with interest.
"Sorry to tell you guys, but her business is hers to tell, not mine. If you ever want to know something about her, you should ask her, not me. " I said which made them disappointed.
"Did she pay you for your loyalty, huh? You are so secretive when it comes to Ms. Kim's life." Bambam deeply sighed and continued eating.
To be honest, I prefer not to tell them about Ms. Kim's life because it's pretty dangerous and they hide their lives from public view because the Kim's are notorious in both the business world and the underworld.
Yes, you read it right. The Kim family are also part of the underworld and there are some crimes that they are involved in.
Ms. Kim's father, Mr. Jiyong Kim, was running a mafia group, and he was somewhat involved in illegal things.
That's why he is not showing himself in the KM Group building. It was because he was the one handling the illegal things while his daughter was handling the legal things.
Growing up as Jennie Ruby Jane Kim, the only daughter of the Kim family, is hard, especially when you need to train at such an early age so you can protect, defend, and fight those people who want your family to go down and die.
When I first learned about the Kims, I was fascinated rather than terrified, because there is nothing to be afraid of when they will never harm you.
Maybe Mr. Kim Byunghun saw in me that I wouldn't get scared if I discovered their dark secret. He knows I won't tell anyone and that I'm capable of doing two jobs at once: secretary to his granddaughter and secret keeper.
He has very sharp eyes. Everything won't go unnoticed by him. He can see every detail.
I heard that Mr. Kim Byunghun studied psychology. That's why he is good at reading people's behavior and minds.
Ring! Ring!
I heard my phone ring. It was my cue that Ms. Kim needed me.
"I have to go." I told my friends.
"You haven't finished your food." Seulgi said.
"My boss needs me." I showed her my phone so she could see that Ms. Kim was calling me.
"Take care." She waved her hand, and I gave both of my friends a quick hug.
I ran to the elevator, and that's when I answered my phone.
On The Phone
LM: Yes, Ms. Kim?
JK: Where are you?
LM: On the way to your office.
JK: Hurry up.
LM: I'll be there in three minutes.
Call Ended
Once the elevator door opened, I quickly ran to her office and stopped in front of her door to fix myself and check if I smelled nice and looked presentable.
I knocked thrice and didn't bother to wait for her response since she never responds when I'm the one who is knocking on her door.
I opened the door and saw that she had a guest.
"Annyeonghaseyo." I greeted her guest politely and stood beside Jennie, who was sitting in her swivel chair.
"You must be Lalisa. Her new secretary, who handled her demonic attitude." The unknown woman said, while grinning widely.
"Yes, you are right," I responded, as I gave her a small smile.
She stood up from the couch and handed the file to Jennie. I accepted it on my boss's behalf and opened it for her, then put a pen in her right hand since it's a contract and she would need a pen to sign it.
Jennie reached for her glass of wine and I put it in her left hand. She took a sip of her wine, and I quickly got the glass and put it on her table.
"Wow, that's impressive. You are working smoothly, and you are doing all the work for her. " I heard the unknown woman's comment.
"Are you perhaps talking about me?" I asked her and she nodded.
"I am Jisoo TurtleRabbit Kim." I didn't catch her middle name because she said it too fast.
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Jisoo. I'm Lalisa Pranpriya Leechaiyapornkul." She reached out her hand and I shook our hands.
"Your name doesn't sound Korean." She stated,
"I'm actually Thai." Her mouth went O and she nodded in understanding.
"Mai mee tangka." She said, which made me chuckle.
"I don't think so when you are carrying a limited edition Dior bag and wearing the Dior Autumn collection." I replied.
"You are very observant. I didn't know you knew some stuff about fashion brands and collections. "
"Well, I read some fashion magazines. Also, Ms. Kim is running a branch of Chanel in Gangnam, so I thought I needed to catch up with fashion trends so I could propose some ideas. "
"Yah! Jennie Kim, where did you find this secretary of yours? She is incredible and smart. " She sat in the chair in front of Ms. Kim's table.
"She applied here." Ms. Kim simply answered.
Ms. Jisoo inverted her gaze at me, then she looked at me from head to toe.
"How much is your salary? I will triple it if it just works for me. " Ms. Jisoo asked, which made Ms. Kim stop reading the contract.
"She wouldn't leave this company until I said so." Ms. Kim declared.
"Who are you going to decide for her? You are just her boss." Ms. Jisoo said nonchalantly, not minding the look that my boss was giving her.
"I'm her boss, and I won't accept any resignation forms from her, nor will I triple her salary, but instead I'll make it tenfold." Ms. Kim answered.
Tenfold, doesn't sound bad. That will make me rich. I can establish my own company with that money.
My mom would be proud of me if that happened.
"As if I could make her work for me, I heard a lot of things about her while I was in Japan. Auntie was so happy when she met Lalisa, and she told me once that Lalisa accompanied her to go shopping." Ms. Jisoo rested her chin in her palm.
Ms. Kim didn't respond anymore, and she just read the contract.
It looks like Ms. Kim and Ms. Jisoo are related to each other. They probably knew each other for years just based on how Ms. Jisoo talked to Ms. Kim.
"How do you spend your salary, Lalisa?" Ms. Jisoo asked.
"I haven't received my salary yet. I only started six days ago." I answered, and her jaw dropped.
"What?! Are you serious? " She exclaimed, and I nodded.
"Yes, Ms. Jisoo." She looked at Ms. Kim and at me.
"How you work, like you've been working with Jennie for ten years?" Ms. Jisoo asked, which made me think for a moment.
"Maybe because I'm willing to take the job and I'm pretty determined to give my boss a good impression since I don't want to disappoint Mr. Kim for hiring me." I answered, and she nodded in understanding.
Suddenly, she smirked and asked, "Are you single?"
Ms. Kim closed the contract with a sound that caught our attention. She threw the contract in front of Ms. Jisoo.
"Done. You can go now. " Ms. Kim motioned for her to be shooed away, as if Ms. Jisoo were a puppy.
Ms. Jisoo stood up from her seat with the contract in her right hand and walked towards me. Then she handed me a small piece of paper.
"See you when I see you. Nice meeting you, Lalisa. Take care of my demonic best friend. " She waved her hand and walked out of the office.
When her figure disappeared, and when we heard the door make a click sound, indicating it was now locked, Ms. Kim turned her swivel chair to face me.
She showed me her palm and motioned me to give it, which I believe is the paper that Ms. Jisoo gave to me.
I gave her the paper and she read it, then she ripped it into pieces. She let the pieces make a mess on the floor, which made me internally sigh.
I picked up the pieces of the paper and she just watched me do it.
Suddenly, she grabbed my collar using her right hand, which made me kneel in front of her and look at her.
"You love your job, right?" She asked.
"Not really." I honestly answered.
"You won't and I won't let you resign your job." Her right hand went to my side and caressed it.
"As if there is another job that pays a large amount of money like how Kim Enterprise pays me, I don't think Mr. Kim will be happy with me quitting my job." I stood up from the ground and threw the paper in the trash bin beside her table.
"Good to hear that then. Dad won't also let you resign, especially when you already know some stuff about our family business, legal and illegal."
She went back to her work, and I just stood beside her.
I regretted that I agreed to be her secretary. If my mom hadn't told me to work here, I'd already be out of this shit.
