"in that case...you tell me your desires i tell you my fears" hyunjin spoke staring deep into the eyes of the brunette "we can be strangers with secrets" felix was taken aback with what hyunjin had uttered out making him stare back into hyunjin's eyes, they were dark and mysterious. but a linger of softness could be seen
felix chuckled softly looking away "sure, you go first" hyunjin asked him to tell him his desires. nothing else, he doesn't have to give a reason he doesn't need to explain the back story. "no" felix shook his head hearing hyunjin's reply, he knew what the answer was gonna be he shouldn't have wasted his breath "well...I'll tell you my first ever wish" felix started making hyunjin put his hands down on the log and stare at him
"mhm" he hummed encouraging the boy to go on "it's cliché and you'll probably-" "stop being ridiculous, i won't judge. i promise, now go on" felix turned to stare at hyunjin for a moment as he sighed wishing what the boy said will be true and hyunjin won't judge him "I want to have a house of my own" he spoke smiling widely "and a cat" he added turning around to stare at the sky again "and i want to share that house with someone i love" he shyly bit his lower lip
hyunjin kept his gaze fixated on felix "that's it?" hyunjin asked and felix nodded "that was my first ever desire" hyunjin hummed "your turn" felix spoke "I'm scared of heights" hyunjin spoke, his heart began to race a bit when he looked at felix. eyes asking if felix found that funny and childish, but the brunette boy didn't have any weird reaction to it
hyunjin felt calm when felix wasn't making fun of him "most people are" felix assured him sensing the slight discomfort "are you?" hyunjin questioned "not really" he nodded "I love fireflies, i want to watch them glow once with my own eyes" felix spoke as he turned to look at hyunjin "birds" felix smiled at hyunjin's statement "their cute" he replied making hyunjin scoff
"no they're not, they're vicious" felix chuckled "come on, their tiny and soft little babies they can't hurt you" felix tried defending the animals hyunjin seems to despise "what are you? cinderella? they're disgusting, filthy and atrocious. they have yucky and sharp feet and wings and beaks- just ugh!" hyunjin had seemed to get carried away by the hatred he held for birds
because he might have spoken too much to be sitting with a stranger "I mean if you put it that way" felix sighed "I want to watch the ocean glow" hyunjin nodded "do you have a thing for glowy things?" felix embarrassedly chuckled "I might" he replied rubbing his hands together
"clowns, stupid little jerks" felix laughed at the way hyunjin spoke about things he hated. he had his eyebrows narrowed and eyes slanted a disgusted expression hanging over his mouth "what's funny?" the boy asked making felix shake his head "you are" hyunjin rolled his eyes "are you making fun of me?" felix quickly dropped his laugh
"oh no no no, I just find it cute and funny how you talk about things you fear" hyunjin stayed silent staring into felix's eyes who nervously looked away "anything else you want?" hyunjin questioned "aren't you bored already?" the brunette boy asked as hyunjin shook his head "surprisingly enough, no" felix smiled nodding
"I would love to witness a shooting star one day" felix stated and hyunjin hummed, the boy couldn't help but notice how Felix's face looked like an adorable puppy when talking about the things he loved and the things he wanted to do "having someone know me" felix furrowed his brows "won't that be nice?" he asked and hyunjin clicked his tongue "sure, but isn't it scary? having someone know what you like, what you don't, what you want, when you want it...being so transparent just for that one person"
felix remained silent listening to hyunjin with complete attention "it might be, but all that fear is worth it" felix assured him with a soft smile but hyunjin didn't return it "hot spring" felix stated making hyunjin nod, he wanted to ask a question but didn't know if he had already asked too many. nonetheless he still continued on to ask "how come you haven't completed any of these?"
felix went silent at the sudden question and hyunjin noticed that the boy appeared uncomfortable at the question, awkwardness was written all over the boy's face when he didn't feel like answering something. don't get him wrong, he was great at hiding even as far as best but somehow hyunjin had been able to see right through it which is unusual to say the least "don't answer if you don't want to" and felix did just that
keeping the silence that had always brought comfort, and once again quitness consumed the boys however they didn't mind it, it was rather soothing and calming. felix was relaxing in the moment until he saw hyunjin get up from the wooden log "are you going home?" felix questioned unaware of the boy's sudden action
"would you trust me enough for me to take you somewhere?" felix stared at him with his lips shut "where?" was his first question "somewhere" hyunjin remarked, although it might seem like he was having fun with the brunette's company his facial expression and tone spoke otherwise. his tone sounded tired and annoyed which wasn't quiet the case
"uh...sure" felix was the type of person to trust people, he was a nice kid and it didn't necessarily always came with advantages yet he still continued to be someone who people can always rely on because he never had anyone like that for himself, he couldn't say no to hyunjin he didn't want him to think that felix was rude
felix knew right off the bat that hyunjin was not the most social person by the first interaction between them so he was glad that his saltiness has decreased and he really didn't want to let down this opportunity of befriending him. he has always loved making friends even though he didn't have many
he got up from the log following hyunjin deeper into the woods, they silently walked through the forest their feets stepping on the dry leaves and skinny sticks of the trees that fell of and broke creating satisfying sounds as they walked and walked. "wouldn't your parents be worried?" felix asked noticing the dark sky and the twinkling stars, felix didn't know how old hyunjin was but he assumed he was young because he simply looked young
"i don't care" felix nodded, suddenly felix's foot got stuck in a web-trap causing him to stumble and fall down, he screamed slightly shocked by the sudden movement as he fell back. hyunjin turned around to find the boy's leg up in the air trapped inside of an animal trap as he was on the ground, he sighed glancing at felix who tried to get up but failed
he shook his head and snuck his fingers inside the web-trap tearing it open freeing the brunette's leg "ah thank you" felix spoke smiling widely as he extended out his arm for hyunjin to take and help him up but he simply didn't continuing to slowly and carefully walk
he sighed getting up on his own and dusting away the dirt "do you not watch where you go? like ever?" felix licked his lips "I didn't know it would be here" he defended himself "it's a forest" hyunjin replied making felix sigh

with a walk that seemed to be of more than fifteen minutes they finally arrived at the designated place, and felix couldn't help but wonder what's so special about this "this is it...a cave?" felix asked looking around trying to find something that made sense but instead all he found was trees and trees and a deep dark cave "would you wait for a second" hyunjin spoke
felix still wouldn't stop looking around in circles, his curiosity was only growing worse. what was so exclusive about this part of the forest "god" hyunjin uttered annoyed by felix's acts as he crouched down to get a rock to throw inside the cave, it made a loud noise which made felix flinch
the brunette boy turned to look into the direction of where hyunjin had thrown the rock and much to his wonders, he saw glowing bugs rushing out of the cave "oh my" he whispered to the wind his lips parting in surprise as he stared at the beautiful fireflies begin to roam freely around them
his eyes glowed watching the pretty bugs fly as he gazed around in the sky watching them with admiration, hyunjin turned to look at him and his heart skipped a beat. the boy looked incredibly ethereal under the bugs' light and the moonshine, the fireflies surrounding him made him look like a fairy in the deep forest
he reached out his hand as a firefly sat down on his finger and he couldn't have adored it enough "aren't they so pretty?" he asked keeping the bug close to him "they're bugs" hyunjin replied sighing as he put his hands in his pocket staring at the breathtaking guy in front of him whose lips wouldn't go down
he was smiling so widely that his perfect little teeth were showing, the cute wrinkles by his eyes that appeared only when he smiled too much, his nose scrunching in the slightest manner. but all of it going away occasionally to let out a gasp to admire the pretty bugs
felix's happiness was something that couldn't be described right now, he was on the moon. seeing these pretty things had brought an incredible amount of peace over him. he felt so grateful towards hyunjin, he didn't even know it was possible for him to get this happy in such a short period of time but it indeed was
"thank you so much! how did you even know they would be here?" felix questioned finally peeling away his eyes from the bugs to hyunjin who was already staring at him "lucky guess" hyunjin stated "this is so great" he happily clapped his hands together like a child giggling brightly, and lord knows hyunjin tired his bestest to prevent his lips from curling up
but he failed, and his smile appeared on his handsome face. it was a rare sight seeing Hwang Hyunjin smile but it was a sight indeed, felix turned to look away again but there was something inside of hyunjin telling him that he needed to capture this moment right here, so he took out his phone and clicked a picture of the pretty boy surrounded by the fireflies
once he was done he couldn't help but zoom into the picture watching how his pretty freckles were glowing. he put the phone back in his pocket staring at felix once again "well, you can tick one wish off the list" he spoke, little were they aware many were yet to be ticked off

hi omg so sorry for the lack of details and shit writing ik i haven't been the best writer but believe me when i say i feel like SHIT, i am so so so sick i pushed myself so much to write last night even though i felt so sick and it was really not a good decision. getting this update out was such a struggle because i can't even type on the keyboard lol but anyways yes i hope you're liking this story so far, i love reading your comments so so much so let me know what you think and btw it might seem like the story is progressing to quickly but dw it's part of the plot it's supposed to go this way. anyways thank you so much for reading i love you so much please take care mwah
