Anika was decorating the hall the night before Malika's marriage. She stayed the whole night awake completing her work because in the morning she thought to leave this place and see Shivaay's function. She was excited to meet her favourite designer but more than that her excitement was to see what Shivaay will wear and how he would react seeing her
Anika reached the airport as she already told Malika about her problem. Malika allowed her to go and told her she will handle everything here which gave her relief. When her plane landed Anika ran out of the airport but she never thought checking would take much time. After coming out she took a taxi and told him about her destination
In between because of traffic she was late when they reached she was sleeping and didn't know from how much time the driver was trying to tell her she reached. When Anika entered the hall she smiled seeing the decorations, those were just like she designed.
She started to find Shivaay but from the back, she couldn't. When she heard his name announced she became excited and looked towards the stage and found Shivaay there, she blushed when she noticed his dress, the same dress she asked him to wear. She noticed that his face lost its colour, his eyes were telling something else and speech something else. She noticed him leaving the hall after giving the trophy to Omru which confused her but she took it as her chance to meet him
She missed him very much there, video calls never looked enough to her as he was not there to embrace her in his arms. Not even any of her family members. She ran out and noticed Shivaay taking deep breaths, she wondered if it is because of a heart problem or because of her.
"Congratulations", she called him gaining his attention. Her breath hitched when Shivaay looked at her and stared at her from top to bottom. She looked here and there to check if someone is watching them or not. She noticed him quiet which confused her but then she thought maybe it is because she came late
"I was late and found all seats already occupied so I stood with a few employees from different companies. I am so happy. I told you that my husband is best. And your speech was best ", Anika told him. After telling him how she came here and clearing his confusion that he was right she felt his lips on her cheeks and then on her forehead. She closed her eyes feeling peace, she missed him soo much that she can stay like this with him for hours if he will be present here, her cheeks turned red because of his action. There she always felt that she is alone, and thought that she will visit this place with Shivaay too. She feels so lucky to have him as her life partner.
She doesn't have many guts to ask him as even she will not get a holiday but she does want to roam the whole world with him. Just him and her
"I missed you", Shivaay told. Anika smiled and replied she missed him too. Shivaay joined their forehead together and encircled his hands around her waist. He closed his eyes feeling her scent and her presence. Anika rubbed her hand on his stubble softly, she is happy that he won and didn't question her.
Later Both of them came towards food stalls and had their refreshment as she told she was hungry.
"Wait for half an hour then we will go ok", Shivaay assured her and rubbed her back softly as they are sitting on chairs now. Anika turned back towards him and placed her head on his shoulder
"Yes do it fast I am sleepy", Anika told in a childish voice. Shivaay smiled and asked Omru to see if anything formality is left or not. He can't leave like they were in marriage as this was an award function which is worldwide. He can't leave without a certificate.
"Wait for 5- 10 minutes, bhabhi", Rudra told and left there giving them space as even he can guess how hard it is to travel for hours and then run with bags just to reach somewhere on time. He loves Anika for this.
Later He noticed Anika's hands started having red spots which he didn't notice before. He pulled Anika to a corner and asked
"What is this?", Shivaay asked panicking what if he is responsible for her condition or not?
"Ohh this... Maybe due to allergy. I'm allergic to strong perfume and I think someone used it", Anika told him
"And you are taking it normally? Let me see and tell them how to look descent", Shivaay shouted angrily and was about to go inside the hall but Anika stopped him and giggled watching his expressions
"IT. Is. Normal Shivaay and I'm fine. I didn't eat perfume right? So don't create a scene. Don't worry ", Anika assured him and cupped his face In her hands softly
"Scene? See yourself first ", Shivaay said angrily and held her hand in his. He traced his finger on her arms softly which sent shivers through her whole body. She smiled from inside as she felt so happy when he is ready to fight for her just like he fought for Priyanka.
"I have medicines and it will heal within 2 days", Anika told
"Then you will not come inside. See what happened here... How it will recover", Shivaay asked with concern seeing red spots on her hand.
"Don't worry Shivaay I'm fine. I want to see function and dance with you", Anika told him to which Shivaay shooked his head.
Just then her friend Nikhil called Anika. Anika looked towards Nikhil happily and shook her hand with him which boiled Shivaay's heart. He clenched his fingers in a fist
"You are looking nice", Nikhil complimented Anika. Anika replied to him with a thank you. Nikhil congratulated Shivaay to which Shivaay just nodded as he was trying to control his anger, he thought he should be the one giving her compliment, not Nikhil. He started to think what if Anika started to like Nikhil more than him?
"Byee", he heard Anika's happy voice who waved her hand towards Nikhil. His heart boiled with jealousy, he didn't like Nikhil from day 1 but still he managed just for her but not anymore.. he glared at Nikhil and then turned towards Anika. Before it didn't affect him much but now he doesn't know why it matters.
"You ca.....", Shivaay stopped himself in the middle when he noticed her hands again. He thanked God that he didn't ask her to go with Nikhil in anger otherwise she would be hurt. He told himself that she is here just for him to calm himself
"What me?", Anika asked and crossed her arms
"Y..you are tired Let's go home", Shivaay said and asked her to sit inside the car
"But I have many things to tell you. And please call Gauri and tell her I reached", Anika said
"First sit ", Shivaay said and asked Anika to sit in the backseat. Anika thought he is angry and that's why he asked her to sit in the backseat but when she noticed Khanna she understood that Shivaay will sit with her and Khanna will drive
"This will not harm you right?", Shivaay asked and held her hand in his again. Anika shooked her head and placed her head on his shoulder
"No I'm fine Shivaay don't worry", Anika replied softly
"Why did you ask me to call Gauri?", Shivaay asked as he feel awkward talking with Gauri. She is Anika's sister and he never felt any need to talk with her unnecessarily
"She fought with me yesterday. Telling that I am changed. Last time I called you first after reaching so she thought I don't love her", Anika told him
"So you should have called her first", Shivaay said
"I slept Shivaay and now it's already late. I don't want to fight with any of them so please do it and let me know", Anika requested and layed her head on his shoulder. Shivaay nodded and held her back with one hand and from another hand, he held her hand in his
"Tell her that you will take care of her next time", Shivaay suggested as he don't want Gauri to call her wrong because of him
"Shivaay.. she should understand this thing, not you. I'm not changed", Anika told
"Don't worry I will tell her if this makes you happy and relaxed", Shivaay said and called Gauri. She was angry at Anika and as Anika told she didn't pick call from her number so he called her from his number. He told her the reason and assured her that she is fine. After some time they reached.
Shivaay woke Anika up and both walked toward their room. Shivaay asked her to take medicines when Anika was about to lie down. Anika nodded and ate her medicines. Both talked for some time and then slept.
Anika woke up and the first thing she noticed was their position. She smiled finding themselves cuddling with each other. She leaned towards his face and kissed his forehead. She slowly came out of his hold and get ready. She then moved towards the kitchen to prepare kheer for his success. She is very glad that she was successful to reach there on time. After some time she went towards their room after putting gas on the sim. When she reached the room she found him talking with someone over the phone, when Shivaay noticed her he declined the call and asked her
"Where were you?", He asked
"In kitchen vo... K...kheer", Anika stammered when Shivaay held her hand and asked her to sit on the bed. He checked her hands and asked, "If it is itching or not?"
"I'm fine", Anika told him with a smile and kissed his hands.. she feel very happy when he care for her and ask about her health.
"Now get ready and don't go before you taste kheer", Anika told him.
"Why?", Shivaay asked
"Because you won", Anika replied showing her excitement as she is very happy because of his success.
"So what? It was not important we are throwing a party too", Shivaay said
"Keep that party in your pocket and Don't say like this..you are important and your success as well. You are a gem for me (Aap mere lea heera hai)", Anika told him, Shivaay remembered how his mother used to say the same when he was a child
"My son is a gem okay? You are my love baby", said Pinky to little Shivaay
"Even mom used to tell the same", Shivaay said and sighed. His mother left him long ago but they were connected through the heart so he couldn't forget her. Sometimes he feels that Anika is another form of his mother.
"Because you are ", Anika said and gestured for him to sit. She sat near him as Shivaay continued his conversation
"She used to prepare kheer too just for me", Shivaay told her. Anika smiled and rubbed her hand on his chest, just above his heart. Shivaay closed his eyes feeling peace and love from Anika. He felt his heartbeats raised when Anika touched him.
"Yes. She asked me to make it for you otherwise she warned me that she will not let us meet. So I prepared it ", Anika lied and looked into his eyes. Shivaay chuckled hearing her as even he know this is a lie but want to play along with her
"What else she told you?", Shivaay asked
"S...she said that she is proud of your success.", Anika told. Shivaay nodded and intertwined their fingers without breaking the eye lock.
"And you?", Shivaay asked in a husky voice
"Even I am and always will be proud of you ", Anika told him and pulled him in a hug.
