And every night my mind is running around her

"See you!" I waved back, before getting pushed by one of the caretakers dad hired for me. She was a 36 year old Filipina woman, tan skinned and has the average height for a Filipino. She was very pretty too. And very kind. She's a breadwinner and tends to her family's needs.
"You're really fond of her, no?" My caretaker asked, a soft smile on her face.
"Haha, yeah... I love her so much." I chuckled.
"I know she'll take good care of you, nak. She's a very good girl. (Ah, parang yung pamangkin ko sa Pinas!)" She smiled.

I had a bouquet of roses in my hands as a wide smile decorated my lips.
"I can walk again, all thanks to you and your support." I said, slowly walking closer to her, my heart beating faster and faster as I saw her proud grin and shining eyes infront of me.
"I had enough time so I bought you flowers. Sorry it's a small bouquet, I didn't have enough for a bigger one--" I trailed off, after I gave her the flowers, but got cut off by her lips placing themselves on mine.
"They're perfect. I'm so proud of you." She giggles, placing her forehead on mine.
"You are?" I teared up, wrapping my hands gently around her waist, showing how much I appreciate her by my actions.
"Yes, Y/N. I am." She hums.

"I'll see you again tomorrow, Akane! Seishu and Koko, take care of her!" I smiled, waving them goodbye.
"Matta ne, Y/N!" She yells back.
I felt a smile creeping up on my lips, the familiar feeling of giddiness bubbling up in my chest.
I love her so much.
Just when I was in a 8 meter distance, I heard a loud explosion, startling me heavily.
"What the-?!" I turned around in shock, looking at where the explosion happened.

I saw the Inui Family's house on fire.

I didn't know what came to me, but I ran towards that burning building, seeing Koko out with a body in his arms.
I noticed it was Seishu as the body was small.
I felt my legs move, trying to rush inside that house, but the firefighters held me back.
"Akane..! Akane!!! She's inside!! Take Akane out of there!!!" You yelled in despair.

I stood infront of Akane's burnt body, an emotionless look on my face.
But inside, my heart was shattered and beaten up to pieces.
"Must've hurt a lot, no?" I managed to let out, feeling the endless stream of tears escape my eyes.

The pain was too much. Too much that I fell to my knees infront of her body, her hand in mine.
"I'm so sorry..." I spoke softly.
I know Akane wouldn't want to see me like this, but can't I mourn for a little?
"I love you, Akane Inui. And I forever will." I say, mustering the courage to stand up and give her lifeless body a hug.
A cold, unreciprocated, and lifeless hug.
"I hope when we get reincarnated, we'll find each other again and be together forever." You smiled softly, giving her a kiss on the forehead.

I have stage 4 lung cancer, I was diagnosed back when I was 27 years old. It was stage 3 back then, but it got worse.
I have only a day left to live now.
"Akane... I'm 28 now." I said, with some difficulty of speaking as everything hurts.
"Ahaha... I'm meeting you soon." I softly laughed.

Mentally, physically, and emotionally.
"I'm... About to... meet you... again... soon." I heaved a breath, as my eyes closed, feeling the warmness of the sunset's rays hit my face.
"I've been waiting, my love." I heard her voice, making me open my eyes.
Here I saw her.

She looked so beautiful.
So beautiful that she could really be mistaken as an angel if she was still alive.
"It must've hurt for you too, no?" She asked, placing her hand on mine.
Cold air had blown over my body.

"Akane..." I breathed out, feeling myself crying one more as a weak smile reached my lips.
"Let's go, love?" She smiled.
I nodded, a smile on my lips as she took my hand, lifting me up with ease.
I saw my own body on that wheelchair, my body cold and lifeless, but there was a smile on my lips.
I saw Seishu and Koko walking towards my body, a sorrowful look on their faces.
"Have a good rest, Y/N..." Seishu said, his throat tightening up.
Koko nods, giving your cold body a hug. "Say hi to Akane for us." He says.
You smiled fondly at them, before walking away with Akane taking you with her, into the light.
"We can finally be together in peace now, my love."
