"Where's Mr. Bosworth?" the little lady exclaimed, searching every nook and cranny of the mansion until she spotted the head maid.
"Good afternoon," the little lady greeted with a bow, and the maid returned her smile.
"Good afternoon, little miss. Do you need anything today?" the head maid asked, as Althea nodded eagerly.
"Yes, have you seen Mr. Bosworth anywhere? I can't find him. He said he would come to check on me after an hour, but it's already been two hours," Althea explained, her worry evident in her voice, while the head maid simply observed her.
"Ah, I think I saw Mr. Bosworth in the library three hours ago," the head maid recalled.
"He wasn't there. I already went to the library," the little lady replied, her frustration growing.
"Then maybe Mr. Bosworth is in his room? There's only two minutes until we get to relax a bit," the head maid suggested, hoping to ease the little lady's worry. Althea smiled and nodded in agreement.
"Alright, thank you!" Althea exclaimed gratefully as she prepared to leave.
"My little miss, do you even know where Mr. Bosworth's room is?" the head maid asked, causing Althea to pause and turn back with a sheepish smile.
"Right, I almost forgot to ask about that," Althea admitted, while the head maid chuckled softly.
"Mr. Bosworth's room is on the first floor at the end of the hallway, it's the second door," the head maid informed Althea, who nodded gratefully before bidding the maid farewell.
Arriving in front of Bosworth's room, Althea knocked twice on the door. "Mr. Bosworth, are you in there?" she called out, but there was no response from inside.
"Mr. Bosworth? Are you sleeping?" Althea tried again, growing concerned at the lack of reply.
"Mr. Bosworth, uh... I brought flowers. I got them from the garden," Althea added, hoping to catch his attention, but still, there was silence.
"Maybe there's no one inside," Althea mused to herself, glancing around before grasping the doorknob and turning it slowly.
"Oh, it's not locked," Althea observed as she pushed the door open to Bosworth's bedroom.
"I shouldn't be here. I didn't even get permission to enter someone else's room. But I can't help it. Mr. Bosworth isn't here anyway, so it should be fine," Althea reasoned with herself, gently closing the door behind her.
"As long as I don't get caught, it should be fine for now," she murmured, a mischievous smile playing on her lips as she glanced around the room.
Bosworth's bedroom wasn't luxurious. It wasn't large, but it wasn't small either. It was just average. However, it was impeccably neat and clean. Not a speck of dust could be found anywhere in Bosworth's room.
"So clean," Althea murmured in admiration as she continued to survey Bosworth's room.
Spotting an empty vase on the table, Althea made her way over and carefully picked it up. "Let's put these yellow flowers in here," she decided, smiling to herself as she arranged the flowers in the vase.
Placing the vase back where she found it, Althea also set her letter beside it. Just as she was about to leave, her gaze fell upon a pile of books sitting on the table.
"Oh, I didn't know that Mr. Bosworth likes to read," Althea remarked with a smile as she picked up the books from the table, inadvertently causing a small notebook to fall to the floor.
"Hmm? What is this?" Althea wondered aloud, intrigued by the moon design adorning the notebook's cover.
"Is this like a diary of Mr. Bosworth?" she pondered as she opened the book. The first thing she noticed on the first page was a picture of a man with an 'X' marked on the face.
"What is this?" Althea furrowed her brows, noticing a single hair pasted next to the picture.
"Huh? I can't even understand what is written on this page at all. What kind of demonic writing is this?" Althea muttered in frustration as she skimmed through the mysterious book in her hand.
"The only thing I have in mind is that I can't understand what language is used in this book," Althea sighed, feeling frustrated by the unfamiliar text.
"And wow, there are a lot of people with an 'X' marked on their faces. What the hell is Mr. Bosworth doing with this anyway?" Althea exclaimed, her curiosity piqued.
"Oh, are these... like the people he had killed already?! W-Wow... so many, oh goodness," Althea gasped in realization, feeling a wave of shock wash over her.
"I should leave before Mr. Bosworth might catch me," Althea decided hastily, carefully placing the book back where she found it before hurrying out of Bosworth's room.
"Okay, what should I plan out next? Hmmm, the dragon..." Althea pondered aloud as she strolled through the hallway.
"The dragon lives and is hiding in the cave at the top of the Silver Peak Mountain, it's located to the north," she recalled, her mind already calculating the logistics of her upcoming journey.
"That place is very cold. I'll have to wear something that won't freeze me to death, and it'll be a long journey too, since I have to go alone," Althea mused, considering the challenges that lay ahead.
"I can't bring someone with me to go to the Silver Peak Mountain, and I can't ask them to come with me either. Plus, I can't even tell them that I'm going there," Althea sighed, feeling the weight of her solitary quest.
"Many have died trying to reach the top of the mountain, so I know I have to go alone, secretly," Althea murmured to herself, fully aware of the risks.
"And I can't take anyone with me. If they find out where I'm going, they'll try to stop me," she sighed, understanding their worry.
"The main character of this story..." Althea paused, thinking about the challenges ahead.
"I'm already feeling nervous," she admitted, feeling a bit jittery.
"And when she meets the Prince of the Lazourel Empire, that's when everything will start," Althea said, imagining the big moment.
"I'll have to be ready for whatever happens next," she concluded, determined to face whatever comes her way.
"But I'm only fourteen, so I can't help but get nervous. What if I fail? What if I can't change the fate of my beloved lady?" Althea fretted, her anxiety mounting.
"What will happen then? I can't let that happen!" she exclaimed as she hurried into her bedroom.
"I'll have to face the female lead when she finally appears. There'll be a battle between my lady and the female lead, I'm sure of it," Althea muttered, pacing back and forth in her room.
"Since my beloved lady is still engaged to Prince Lucien, the female lead will stop at nothing to get what she wants," she added, her mind racing with worry.
"And I'll have to do the same, I have to, to save my lady from her downfall," Althea affirmed, steeling herself for the challenges ahead.
"I'll do whatever it takes to achieve my goals, but I can't shake this nervousness. I feel like time is slipping away, and I shouldn't have wasted it," she lamented, feeling the weight of her responsibilities.
"Ah... I can do this," Althea reassured herself, meeting her own gaze in the mirror.
"I've been so preoccupied with everything here that I almost forgot about a certain day," she realized, a pang of regret tugging at her heart.
"When the female lead meets the Prince of the empire, His Highness will invite her to the palace. His Highness, the Crown Prince, has a younger brother," Althea recounted, her thoughts drifting to the unfolding events.
"His name is Prince Noah Moorsel. He only appeared once in the novel, during the celebration of his birthday. He'll be turning ten years old this year," Althea explained, recalling the brief mention of the second prince.
"There aren't many details about Prince Noah. He only makes a single appearance and doesn't even have any lines. But on his birthday, the female lead will make her entrance and steal everyone's hearts," Althea continued, her mind replaying the scenes from the story.
"She'll be wearing a stunning white dress that she designed herself. And her attire will become the talk of the town. The female lead will have her moment..." Althea trailed off, a smile tugging at her lips.
"I'll let her have her moment, but I won't allow her to overshadow my beloved lady. I'll design a beautiful dress for my beloved lady and ensure she wears it," Althea declared, determination gleaming in her eyes.
"But only if she wants to wear it," Althea added softly, acknowledging her lady's autonomy.
Before implementing her plan, Althea made her way outside the mansion through the back door, ensuring no one noticed her departure. She glanced around cautiously, confirming that the coast was clear.
"All clear, soldier. Let's move," she joked to herself, momentarily forgetting her solitary mission.
"Oh, wait, it's just me," Althea corrected herself with a chuckle, darting behind a nearby bush for cover.
"Would you look at that, there's a hole," she giggled, discovering a small gap in the foliage.
"I should probably stop. I'm the one who dug the hole," Althea admitted with a wry smile as she passed through the gap and carefully covered it to avoid detection.
"Yeah, I'm ready for my journey. Let's go," she declared, brimming with determination.
"Going to the Silver Peak Mountain, I will arrive there within two days. But if I successfully convince the dragon to be my companion, coming back home will only take a minute," Althea explained confidently as she began her trek away from the villa, cloaked in secrecy.
