It's been a few weeks since Malaysia and Steven have been doing the whole friendship thing and the relationship between one another seemed better. They didn't argue, their communication was so much better.
There was a carnival in town so they decided to take King. They are currently at a table eating some food.
"I'm glad Brittney finally came around and is starting to let you see Sierra", said Malaysia.
"Me too", said Steven.
Malaysia suddenly got a phone call from Malik so she answered.
"Hey, what's up?... are the carnival with King and Steven..."
Malaysia started laughing.
"Yea I can do that....what? It was? That's great! I'm happy for you", said Malaysia.
Steven wondered who she was talking but he didn't act like it.
"Yea I'll call you later...alright bye", said Malaysia before she hung up. "Sorry that was Malik. He just put out his recent invention and it's doing really good."
"Oh", said Steven.
"You gonna eat that?", she asked as she pointed to his chips.
"Yea. If you want some, go get you some greedy", he said jokingly. "You already ate two hot dogs"
"I know right", said Malaysia. "I need to slow down"
"Youre going to be fat", said Steven.
"Mommy isn't fat", said King.
"Thank you King", said Malaysia. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need something sweet to eat"
Malaysia stood up and walked to one of the food stalls.
As she didn't, Steven observed her.
"Daddy?", said King.
"What?", asked Steven as he looked at King.
"I was candy", said King.
"Your teeth is going to fall out", said Steven.
"What?", asked King.
"Yea. Too much candy and sweet foods makes your teeth rotten", said Steven.
"Rotten?", asked King. "Why?"
"I don't know", said Steven.
Steven looked at Malaysia again and she was talking to the guy behind her in line.
Steven looked away once he felt a bit of jealous coming on.
"Daddy? Who is mommy talking to?", asked King.
"King? Why you so nosey?", asked Steven.
"What's nosey?", asked King.
Malaysia walked to the table as she ate some of her elephant ear.
"Guy behind me paid for my elephant ear so I got two. You want one?", she asked.
"No", said Steven.
"More for me and King", said Malaysia.
"No mommy. Our teeth are going to fall out", said King.
Malaysia smiled as she looked confused.
Steven shook his head.
"Well then, maybe I shouldn't eat it", said Malaysia.
"You pregnant?", Steven asked suddenly.
Malaysia made a face.
"What's up with you guys?", asked Malaysia.
"Are you?", he asked.
"Because I'm eating? I didn't eat breakfast", said Malaysia.
"You know what I'm trippin' . I forgot you got your tubes tied", said Steven.
Malaysia started eating again.
"Right?", he asked.
"Well...I got them untied a month or so before we go King back", said Malaysia.
"...so are you pregnant?", asked Steven.
"I don't know.", said Malaysia.
"What do you mean you don't know?", asked Steven.
"I don't think I am so I haven't looked", said Malaysia.
"How about you do that Lay", said Steven.
"I'm not pregnant", said Malaysia.
" what if you are?", asked Steven.
"My period is on Steven. Please cut it out with the pregnancy stuff", said Malaysia.
"Malaysia, I think it's time we take it to the next step", said Steven. "You know, dating? I want you to be my girlfriend."
"I'll think about it", said Malaysia.
"Malaysia come on. I'm tired of playing around", said Steven.
"Okay. Well then my answer is no", said Malaysia.
"No? Why?", he asked.
"Because I'm not playing around. This is serious", said Malaysia. "We're not doing this to play with your emotions, we're doing this to build a stable relationship. That's what you need right? Because that's what I need. We can not have that if you can't sit back and relax and be friends."
"Sit back and be friends while it's other dudes out here that can take you at any time?", asked Steven.
"I'm not looking for anyone else okay?", said Malaysia.
Steven rolled his eyes.
"If it's so bad for us to just be friends for right now then we don't need to be anything.", said Malaysia.
"...im sorry. You know what I'm wrong and I'm sorry", said Steven. "I'll be patient and I do take this seriously I just don't wanna lose you. That's it"
"You're not going to lose me...as long as you do what you need to do and the same goes for me", said Malaysia. "And as your friend, I suggest that we end this topic of conversation."
Steven looks at King.
"You wanna go ride some more rides?", asked Steven.
"Yea", said King.
Steven looks at Malaysia.
"You wanna just walk with your elephant ears?", asked Steven.
"Yea. I guess", said Malaysia.
They all got up and walked to one of the rides.
The didn't get home unless 10 pm and king was asleep in the car.
Steven took King to his room and walked back to the living to leave.
"Thanks for bringing him", said Malaysia.
"He's getting heavy so why not", asked Steven.
"...goodnight. Drive safe", said Malaysia.
"Thanks and goodnight", he replied.
Malaysia hugged him and Steven hugged her back. As they pulled away they looked at each other and Steven leaned into her. She let him kiss her.
The both kissed each for a moment until Malaysia pulled away and tried to hide her smile.
"Goodnight Steven", said Malaysia.
Steven smiled as he bit his lip. "Goodnight, Malaysia", said Steven.
Steven walked to the door.
"Oh and..yes..we can start dating", said Malaysia.
"Thank you", said Steven.
"No...thank you for getting your shit together.", said Malaysia.
"And thank you for getting your act together", he replied.
Malaysia chuckled a little. "Bye", she said.
"Bye", he replied before leaving.
