Chapter 4: The Proposal/Life Shenanigans

"Ms. Laurent, Ms. Revas. What are your dreams?" The long-haired man asked the two women. The said women, Guini and Den look at him in confusion.
'What are we? Highschoolers?'
'Does he think that he's a guidance counselor or something?'
The two thought as they gave him a weird look, Kokonoi, upon noticing it clears his throat.
"You see, we would like to ask you two to accept our proposal--"
"Proposal? What do you mean by that?" Guini asked cutting the man off, not really liking where the conversation goes.
" Our Emma-chan really likes you two. So we would like to hire you ladies full-time to take care of her. Name anything and we will promise to fulfill it all." Kokonoi smugly said as he studies the women's facial expressions.
'They would gladly agree to it right?' He thought.
"By anything? You mean like anything right?" Den asked, emphasizing the word 'anything' to the man. Kokonoi taking it that she was interested nodded his head.
'Dickheads thinking they could lure us with such bullshit.' Den thought irritatingly as she looks at the man in front of him.
"We decline. We don't need anything from you guys." Guini said about to grab her friend up as she was about to stand up but Kokonoi beat her to it.
"Denise Laurent, her sole dream in life is to be a rich slacker," Kokonoi said chuckling as she looks at the woman's brown eyes. Den, a little startled at Kokonoi's sudden announcement scowled at him.
'Is he laughing at someone else's dream!?'
"Guinivere Revas, same dream but with the addition of having her own cafe." He added, making the woman sits still uncomfortably. He then looks at the two flustered women in front of him like he just won an argument that was not even started.
'Yeah, which for your information, fulfilled already.' Guini thought.
"Wow, that's your dream hun? Don't mind Kokonoi's proposal. I could fulfill it for you." Rindou said as he looks at the girl.
"Shut it, jellyfish." Guini said.
Den on the other hand kept her silence while Mikey just keeps on observing the woman's facial reaction.
Kokonoi then laid two blank cheques in front of the two women.
"Name it. Write down the amount you wanted." He said as he also placed two pens in front of them.
The two women then silently grab the blank cheques and pens to the man's relief.
'Never thought it would be easy to lure them. Money is really the best.' He thought.
The two women write down something on the piece of paper, Den glancing at Kokonoi then at Mikey. Guini doing the same but to Kokonoi then at Rindou. The men just smirked at them. A little disappointed as they thought that the two women will keep on spitting rude words at them and keep their pride at the very least by maybe ripping the cheques in front of them while cursing at them, but to no avail, Den and Guini just silently sits there like docile pet cats.
A few moments later, Den and Guini put the cheques down on the table not even glancing at the eight men in front of them. Kokonoi then picks it up happily and looks at the amount the two women wrote down.
"You guys did the right choice-- what the fuck!?" Kokonoi suddenly shouted which made the other seven men confused. They could see the frown on their money maker's face. Kokonoi just stared at the two small pieces of paper in disbelief as he laughs quite loudly later on.
Baffled at Kokonoi's reaction, Sanzu immediately approach the man and took the cheques. He then read what was written on it out loud.
On Revas' cheque, written on it was "Fuck you and your Jellyfish gang."
On Laurent's cheque, " I have my own money, you fuckers. I am my own sugar daddy." With a middle finger doodle on it.
After Sanzu read that, the two women burst out laughing as they look at the men's reaction.
"Hahahaha, you thought you could buy us!? In your dreams!" Guini shouted in joy mixed with anger as she was satisfied to see their priceless reactions.
"We are capable enough to live our dreams, we don't need your help." Den added as she smiled at the men.
'They got us good.' Kokonoi thought.
'They were truly different.' Ran thought as he smiles at the two still laughing women.
'I think I like her more.' Rindou thought as he stares at the brunette.
"You don't need money then, I presume?" Mikey suddenly said making everyone shut up. He then stands up and slowly approaches the raven-haired woman. The woman then stops laughing and stared back at the white-haired man that slowly walking toward her. She felt a sudden chill as he looks at the man's emotionless obsidian eyes.
'Is the boss pissed or what?' Kakucho thought as he looks at Mikey's back. He then looks at Sanzu and the others. He could tell that the atmosphere suddenly became chilly.
"You said you two are capable enough to live your dreams." He added.
"Aside from running this small cafe, you have nothing to do, right? 'Cause you said that you wanted to live a slacker life." Mikey asked the woman. Den then gives him a dirty look.
'Is he implying that what we do in life is nothing compared to his? Mr. Sano, it's my life. Not yours.' She thought.
"Then marry me." Mikey said straightforwardly caughting the people in the small living room off-guard.
"Excuse me?" Den said, thinking that she might hear the man's words wrong.
'What the heck!? Why does Mikey ask her into marriage all of the sudden!?' Takeomi thought bewildered at his boss's sudden announcement.
'Well, I could tell that the boss kind of likes her but not to the point of marriage!' Kakucho thought, scared on behalf of the woman's existence.
'What the hell are you thinking, Mikey!?' Sanzu thought, shocked and confused at the sudden situation in front of him. He knew Mikey for a long time and this must be the craziest stunt he had ever done in his life, well aside from having a child all of a sudden but still!
"What the fuck!?" Guini said as he looks at the short man in front of her friend. Den just stared at the man in confusion, still debating if she heard the man's words wrong.
"Be my woman, Denise Laurent." Mikey repeated. Sighing, Den just stood up. Not really wanting to have this unbelievable conversation with anyone. She's tired and maybe the other party as well, as they keep spouting bullshit.
"We have two guestrooms here, you guys can use them if you want--"
"We're not done yet." Mikey sternly said, making the woman stop talking. The woman sighed tiredly as she faced the man.
"You know what, Mr. Sano?" She said, clearly irritated at how childish this man in front of her is. He was acting like a spoiled child, like whatever he wished for should be granted.
"No." The woman said without hesitating as she looks straight at the man's black orbs. Without even waiting for the man's response she turns around to walk to where the young blonde child is sleeping. But even before she took another step, the white-haired man grab her arm.
"That child really likes you. You like her too right? Why not give it a shot?" The man said as she looks at the woman intently. The woman then signed, forcing the hand who was grabbing her to let go.
"Yes, I know but so what? That doesn't mean I'll agree with your proposal, Mr. Sano." She said sternly as she glares at the man.
"End of discussion." The woman added as she leaves the man dumbfounded in her living room with his subordinates.
