Malia POV:
Hearing those words from mom and dad made my heart shattered into pieces. I didn't know that Eva's kind of flirtatious kay daddy. But mom was quiet the whole rime, perhaps their love within each other is not working anymore.
I sensed that they both are coming outside na, kaya I quietly went downstairs. Baka kasi mahuli ako ng mga ito and wiped my tears immediately. I don't want my kuya's witnessed what happened, just like what mom said to dad. I intend to act normal.
Saktong naman pagbaba ko ay nakalabas na rin sila mommy and daddy ng room nila. Kuya Luis want to asked me what happened ba yet the two came to us.
"Mom what happened po? Is there a problem bo ba? We saw you crying while going upstairs kanina ah. Dad?" kuya Alfy concur.
"W-wala anak, napuwing lang ang mommy that's why I'm in hurry kanina pumunta ng room ko" sagot naman ni mommy which is clearly unbelievable to me.
"Well it's look like that dad was in hurry din kanina. Hindi po ba kayo magkasama nakabalik?" kuya Luis said.
"H-hindi anak, nauna ang mommy mo. And I'm in worry din for akala ko anong nangyare" dad remarked. Liar.
"S-so what the three of you did kanina?" mom spoke and change the topic. I can literally see it, the pain she's been going through in her eyes. Nako, how can they act normal while I'm already know the truth behind this attitude that they're showing upon us nila kuya.
"We ate the cookies the we bake mom. Hala tinirhan niyo ba si mommy?" kuya Luis said at sila palang dalawa ang naka-ubos.
"Hala Alfy ate a lot mommy. Di ka tinirhan"
"Anong ako? Ikaw nga tong sarap na sarap. Si Malia nga dalawa lang nakain" kuya Alfy joked.
"Nako no worries mga anak, we'll bake again soon. Thanks for watching out sa kapatid niyo. It's getting dark na. Both of you, dito na mag dinner I'll cook lang" mom said which made my two kuya agree.
Nang papunta na sana si mommy sa kitchen ay she looked at me and sensed something. Oh God please lang naman, huwag naman sanang malaman ni mommy na umiyak ako.
"Oh anak Lia, are you okay ba? Mukhang namaga ang mata mo anak, what happened?" she said and and dad was already beside mom, concerned about me.
"I-I'm okay lang po ma, naghilamos lang. I didn't rinsed kaagad kaya naanuhan ng sabon yung mata ko. It's fine na naman po, mawawala na rin naman po ito in a minute. Tulungan ko napo kayong mag prepare and magluto" I said but mom stopped me.
"Ako na anak, there's manang naman wo can help me. I'll just call you later kapag kakain na. Nandito na si daddy mo, I want you to bond with him especially na nandito sila kuya mo" sabi nito at parang nanghina ako. I can't fathom where dad find the guts, still to act normal after what happened. I salute mom for she personally know how to handle this situation. Lalo na alam kong nasasaktan na ito.
"S-sure mom" I shortly answered and asked permission na sa garden muna lang ako. Just want to think at this moment.
I thought on my way here, I was alone. But dad followed me. Until napaupo ako, he sat beside me too.
"How are you anak?" he asked while my gaze are in the sky.
"Fine" I shortly answered.
"Daddy was sorry for I didn't make it kanina-" the I cutted him.
"It's fine"
"Is there a problem ba anak? You seems cold at the moment. If there's, you can tell it and daddy will listen and not to judge you"
"I'm absolutely okay nga po daddy. There are just some thoughts that are roaming in my head right now, I can't fathom how to handle it"
"And what are these thoughts?" he said and the urge of me want to asked him how their relationship ni mommy been through.
"You promise you'll not tell everyone?"
"Yes anak, daddy promise" he said but I don't have a feeling to trust him for I trust act, not words.
"How's the relationship between the two of you ni mommy doing?" I confidently said.
At first he smirked pa, without knowing I already know everything his hiding.
"Yun lang pala anak, well we're doing great ni mommy mo. There's so much love between us, the epitome of love which I can truly remember was still there. You're mom is the only one I ever loved, no one else" after dad spoke-all of a sudden, I just want to run inside and went to my room to cry. For dad's words are useless for he's been hurting mommy already.
"Why'd you asked that honey? Is it because daddy has no time for you? I'm so sorry anak, really sorry. Magkikita naman na tayo ay tulog kana, kapag sa umaga naman ay hindi na tayo nagkakaabutan for I always leave early in the morning. Sa tingin ko you're distancing yourself towards me na"
"No, it's not like that daddy. It's just- what's the role of Eva in your life?" both of us ni daddy were taken aback about sa sinabi ko. I didn't expect words like that will came out to my mouth. Well he's already curious about it.
"Eva anak?"
Then I just nodded as a response.
"She's the CEO of the company that we're collaborating with. That's why she's always in our company for both of us are at the same position. As a result, we have a lot of transaction as business partners. She always praise me for I have a good and enchanting children, especially you. Remember when we both saw you at the cemetery noong binisita niyo ang family ni Jessan? She always mesmerize your beauty na, kanina sana. She was about to great you, but it looks like that you and your mom was in hurry"
"That's all po?" all I said and waiting for some information-the truth for short for him to tell more.
"Y-yes anak. What else do you want to know about your tita Eva?"
"Just please dad, whatever may happen don't leave mom. Love her for the eternity, for she deserve someone who can comprehend and care for her. And that's you- for the both of you had already tied by marriage the purpose of the wife is to be the light and care and the purpose of husband is to be a warrior and the love will endure. But all I can see is the throb and lividness through mom's eyes- dad could you please tell me what happening-"
"Dinner's ready!" mom called us at the garden suddenly kaya hindi kona natuloy ang dapat ko pang sasabihin sana kay daddy regarding kay Eva.
Then timing naman na linapitan kami ni mommy and asked if ano daw ang pinag uusapan namin. I immediately became nervous.
"Nandito pala kayo, tara na inside. It's time to eat na. Aalis na maya-maya sila kuya mo" mom quote.
"S-sure honey. But it looks like anak, na you have something to ask pa. Continue it na, also your mom's here na what happened about what anak?" sabi ni daddy na kaagad napa blanko ang isipan ko. Bakit ba naman kasi bigla-bigla? Sinabing huwag sasabihin sa iba eh.
"I-it's nothing po d-daddy" I nervously said.
"Really? Perhaps you're shy for your mom's already here na, huwag kang mahiya anak" pag sinabi ko to alam kong may tampuhan na mangyayare.
"About what happened anak? Don't be shy hindi naman ako nangangain" dagdag ni mommy at mas lalong tumaas ang tibok ng puso ko when kuya Alfy and Luis came here also.
"U-uhm, about p-po s-sana s-sa-"
Then all of their gaze are fixed on me and was waiting for what I'm gonna say.
"Sa?" all of them said in tone.
"S-sa kompanya niyo po! Yes, about sa company po. Maayos naman po ba ang pagpapatakbo ninyo?" mabuti na lang ay naisip ko kaagad iyon.
"Didn't know that you're interested naman pala bunso ha. Maayos na maayos it's because of daddy, hanga nga kami sa kanya eh" kuya Luis stated.
"Oh! U-uhm that's good. That's what I wanted to ask you daddy earlier, tara na po. Let's have dinner na, baka kasi lumamig ang pagkain" I said at dumeretso na sa loob, I can hear that kuya Alfy said something sa labas pa, mabuti na lang ay nauna ako pumasok- for it's literally awkward if I stay there pa.
"Anong nangyare dun dad?" I heard kuya Alfy said.
"Wala naman anak, perhaps she wants to know the situation of us sa company let's go inside na" dad answered at tumungo na silang lahat dito.
When were already complete sa mesa, daddy was the one who lead the prayer and after that we proceed eating na.
